Escaped New York for the long holiday weekend and my first meal was at MAMO. Wow! I love this place! Excellent food, service, and atmosphere. The artichokes with truffles was delicious and the angel hair pasta with shrimp was like being in Italy! Excellent cocktails and wine list. The staff was amazing. Very sophisticated and well-dressed crowd which elevates the overall experience. It really does. No sweatpants or Crocs here! Highly recommend!

I went there last week and everything was amazing. The place is super nice, modern and cozy, with a cool open kitchen where you can see the action. But the food… oh man, Chef Marco Giugliano is incredible! He’s from Naples and you can tell, his dishes are authentic Italian but with some creative twists that make them even better. We did the tasting menu and every course was perfect: handmade pasta that was so fresh, awesome branzino, and these beautiful plates with truffles and seasonal stuff. It all tasted fresh and full of flavor. Service was great too, everyone was friendly and knew their stuff, and the wine list has tons of good Italian wines. If you’re looking for real Italian food in Miami, this is the spot. Hands down my favorite – 5 stars! Go book it, you won’t regret it. Grazie Chef

We had such a great experience at Mamo in Miami. We started with the Insalata di polpo e ceci and the Carciofi alla Giudia. The octopus salad was delicious with a nice pop of citrus and mint and the portion size was perfect for sharing. The fried artichokes came out hot and crispy and adding a little olive oil from the table made them even better. For our mains my sister ordered the Maltagliati verdi alla bolognese and I got the gnocchi. The gnocchi was not bad but just not what I was expecting. The green onion flavor was much stronger than I would have liked and as someone who loves Gorgonzola it just did not really come through for me. Our server was incredibly kind and understanding and offered to swap my dish for the bolognese which was amazing. It was so flavorful and came out hot and steaming. I do not remember our server’s name but both her and her busser were very attentive and made us feel well taken care of the entire time. For drinks we ordered the mango cocktail which was fruity and refreshing and the Volcan which was spicy but still sweet and smoky. Overall such a great experience with amazing service and food. And I loved the little surprise at the end, it truly made my night! I would definitely come back.

My son and I had dinner here while visiting Miami from NY. The food was absolutely terrific. We had the prix fixe menu which was a lovely four course meal that included a nice assortment of core items from the main menu. We had the burrata and seared tuna to start, rigatoni with crispy bacon and angel hair pasta with shrimp as our mains, sea bream and NY strip as our secondi, and tiramisu and vanilla ice cream with warm strawberry sauce for dessert. Everything was absolutely delicious. Portions were perfect. My NY strip was probably 4oz and cooked perfectly. My son’s burrata had incredible flavor consisting of a combination of truffle, pistachios and hazelnuts - one of the best burrata dishes I’ve ever had. So glad we gave Mamo a try - highly recommend for an upscale Italian dinner experience in Brickell. Pacing of dishes and service were terrific as well.

5-Star Hidden Gem in Miami Beach – An Unforgettable Italian Experience I stumbled upon this restaurant purely by chance while searching on Google for something nearby and high-quality. In past visits to the area, it never appeared in my searches, but this time the 4.7/5 rating caught my eye, along with photos of a cozy, inviting interior. I booked easily and quickly through OpenTable—super convenient—and headed over on foot just 15 minutes later. From the outside, it’s almost invisible: no big signage, dark windows, and you have to climb a few steps to peek in. Honestly, I almost turned around thinking it was closed! But once inside, the warm welcome changed everything. I was dining solo and they kindly offered the bar or a two-top table—I chose the table. It was early (just after 6 PM), only a few tables occupied, and it never got more than about 30% full during my visit. The service was exceptional from start to finish—attentive, friendly, and genuinely caring. The menu felt sophisticated yet approachable, with high-end ingredients shining through. I started with the Prosciutto di Parma, focaccia, olives (I skipped the burrata add-on to balance the cheese later). The prosciutto was sublime: abundant, silky, top-quality slices. The focaccia was perfect, and the olives (pitted green and black) had intense flavors that complemented the ham beautifully—a small piece went a long way. For my main, I went with the crispy gnocchi, leeks, gorgonzola fondue. Wow—what a revelation! I’d never had crispy gnocchi before; each piece was delicately crunchy outside, soft and perfect inside, bathed in a rich yet light gorgonzola sauce. Thin leek slices added amazing texture and flavor contrast. To pair, I was torn between a Pinot Noir and something bolder. My server (or sommelier?) graciously let me taste the Pinot Noir and suggested a Super Tuscan Blend (La Chiazza Toscana Rosso)—both excellent, but the blend won with its generous pour (larger than most places) and seamless match for both dishes. Every bite and sip was pure pleasure. I even dropped my fork into the sauce once, and within seconds, one server whisked it away while another handed me a fresh one—no fuss. The attention to detail extended to every table around me. This ranks among the best gastronomic experiences I’ve had. The quality of ingredients, preparation, wine pairing, and heartfelt service made it magical. I paid about $97 including tip. If you’re in Miami and want refined Italian without the hype, seek this Mamo out—you won’t regret it. Easily 5 stars.

My boyfriend and I had a great date night experience at Mamo. It’s a classy Italian restaurant with really great service and upscale atmosphere. We got the 4-course tasting menu for $60 pp, and though the dishes were smaller than normal, we left *very* full. They say the tasting menu goes until 7:30, but our reservation was at 7:30 and they let us order from it. All of the 8 dishes (and 2 drinks) we got were delicious and I would highly recommend this restaurant. Our bill came out to $206 between the tasting menu and one drink per person.

Mamo was fantastic. The staff was warm and attentive and the ambiance felt romantic from the moment we walked in. The food was absolutely amazing and every dish had incredible flavor. It is pricey but worth the splurge. Do not miss the Cacio and Pepe pasta or the Capellini d’Angelo gamberi.

Amazing food. Amazing service. Amazing atmosphere. One of the best meals I’ve had - certainly for lunch. It’s a bit pricey but incredible and worth it. The truffle raviolini is so delicate. Small homemade individual raviolini. Fresh truffles. Yes please!!!

Above & beyond — Truly one of the best dinners we had in Miami! We were in town for a bachelorette dinner & didn’t realize there was a no-shorts dress code — Most of the guys in our group weren’t wearing pants, so we were fully sweating once they initially turned us away 😭 But to our surprise, the team kindly made an exception & welcomed us back in — And seated us in the most elegant candle-lit room. It ended up being perfect for the occasion: Intimate, warm, & honestly one of the most memorable dinners of our whole trip The service was incredible — Everyone was so attentive & accommodating, even with our group’s various dietary needs. & To top it all off, they surprised us with the most special dessert platter plus a side of gummy bears 🥹 It was such a sweet & unexpected gesture that truly made it feel like home Food-wise, the pizza was a little on the oily side, but the gnocchi was absolutely amazing. & Honestly — I’d come back for the service alone Excited to visit their NYC location now that I’m back — But MAJOR kudos to the Miami team 🙌🏽 The people here clearly care about what they do. Can’t wait to return!

Had the driver drop us off for lunch and what a delight of a meal. First off, the ambiance and vibe are great with a wonderful fragrance. Stephanie was outstanding, her recommendations and guidance through the menu was phenomenal. The artichokes were delicious, along with the beef tartare that was prepared so well. The place is giving Italian yet took me to the south region of France at times. The pastas were cooked perfectly Al dente and the au poivre sauce was one of the best I’ve had in a minute. Do not skip the pistachio or tiramisu for dessert. The gummy’s at the end are a Fabulous touch and reminded me of our travels in Spain. So much excitement through the meal. We will definitely be back.

Today I came in for my friends birthday and we enjoyed really great food, in a beautiful , sophisticated atmosphere. Our table ordered a few of their appetizers for their Miami spice. Ivan was our server, went above and beyond, he was very helpful. To start, the fried artichokes were tasty and the tomato mozzarella salad was also a delight. The burrata appetizer wasn’t visually attractive but it was delicious. For main dishes, they were all a delight, la nostra cacio e pepe, rigatoni & the tagliata di manzo were a staple at our table. All rich in flavor and great portions. For dessert we all indulged in their tiramisu. By far one of the best in Miami. Here are some pictures…

We went to MAMO for Miami Spice and had a very good experience. For the starter, I ordered the fried artichokes — tasty with a nice texture, but the portion was quite large and felt a bit heavy by the end. They do serve it with a lemon for some brightness, but I think an additional sauce or something fresher could help balance the dish. For the main course, I had the skirt steak with French fries and it was absolutely outstanding — perfectly cooked meat, well-seasoned, and great flavor balance. I’d definitely go back for that dish. Restaurant is beautiful and service is great

I went to Mamo with my husband last night on a friend’s recommendation, and it exceeded all my expectations. Booking was very easy, and we were warmly welcomed upon arrival. The atmosphere is spectacular: fresh white tones, soft music, dimmed lights, and a stunning central bar that immediately makes you feel relaxed. We tried the Miami Spice four-course menu, and it was truly a journey of flavors. We started with bread served with salami and eggplant (absolutely delicious) followed by an exceptional steak tartare and burrata. Then came the black truffle ravioli, so good we didn’t want to share. My husband had the Milanese, and I had the branzino with quinoa and vegetables, both dishes were flawless in taste and presentation. We ended the evening with a pistachio millefoglie that was simply perfect. What impressed me the most was how every dish achieved a unique balance of contrasts and textures. It’s clear a great chef is behind every detail. The service, the atmosphere, and the food made this an unforgettable experience. Definitely a place I look forward to visiting again and would highly recommend.

Mamo is a fantastic Italian–French fusion restaurant that truly delivers on flavor, service, and atmosphere. We visited during Miami Spice, and the price-to-value ratio was honestly unbeatable for the quality of food and drinks offered. Every course felt carefully crafted, with a balance of creativity and authenticity that made the whole meal memorable. We started with the burrata as an appetizer, which is an absolute must—it was creamy, fresh, and the perfect way to kick things off. For mains, we tried the caccio e pepe pasta and the shrimp with pistachio. Both dishes were outstanding: the pasta was silky and flavorful without being heavy, and the shrimp had such a unique combination of textures and tastes that it really stood out. The drinks were another highlight of the evening. My personal favorite was the Violeta, which was fun, refreshing, and unlike anything I’ve tried before. And then, of course, dessert. The tiramisu deserves a category of its own—light, rich, and easily one of the best versions I’ve had anywhere. The service was exceptional, attentive, and welcoming, while the ambiance was quiet, classic, and sophisticated without feeling pretentious. Overall, Mamo is a must-visit and absolutely a place I’ll be coming back to.

Miami Spice often leaves diners with mixed impressions: while the program is intended to showcase restaurants at an accessible price point, too many participants reduce quality, portion size, and service in the process. MAMO Italian, however, breaks that mold entirely, transforming the experience into a celebration of refined dining that not only meets expectations but surpasses them in every regard. From the outset, MAMO’s Miami Spice menu stood out. Instead of cutting corners, the restaurant curated a four-course experience that was perfectly balanced, abundant, elegant, and memorable—an offering that demonstrated confidence, creativity, and a genuine desire to impress. The meal began with a striking Gamberi Rossi with burrata and mango—a dish that combined freshness, delicacy, and a subtle interplay of flavors. This was followed by a Rigatoni all’Amatriciana, prepared in classic style yet elevated by depth and consistency that spoke to the chef’s mastery. The New York Strip with roasted potato, peppercorn sauce, and rosemary oil proved equally impressive: hearty, savory, and brimming with character. To close, the Millefoglie al pistacchio e lamponi delivered both elegance and indulgence, a dessert that was as visually appealing as it was delicious. The experience was further elevated by an exceptional wine pairing: Ca’Marcanda, Gaja, Promis 2021, a bold and structured Tuscan Merlot that harmonized beautifully with each stage of the meal. Beyond the cuisine, MAMO excelled in ambiance and service. The dining room struck a perfect balance between classical charm and modern sophistication, creating a setting that felt both elegant and welcoming. Service, meanwhile, was impeccable—professional yet warm, attentive without being intrusive, and consistently polished throughout the evening. What truly distinguishes MAMO is its strategic intelligence: where other restaurants use Miami Spice as a marketing tool by scaling back, MAMO does the opposite. They seize the opportunity to present their very best, building trust and loyalty with guests who will gladly return—outside of Miami Spice season—and pay premium prices for premium quality. Verdict: MAMO Italian transforms Miami Spice into an art form. With flawless service, inspired cuisine, and a sophisticated atmosphere, it is a restaurant that delivers not just a meal, but an unforgettable experience. Highly recommended.

Had an amazing lunch at Mamo today for Miami Spice, and it truly exceeded expectations. The food was absolutely incredible both in flavor and in generous portions and it gave us a real feel for what this restaurant is all about. Despite being a full house, the entire team was working seamlessly, from the managers to servers, assistants, and food runners. Nice relaxed ambiance, service attentive, and the experience top-notch from start to finish. We’re so lucky to have this gem right here in the neighborhood. Can’t wait to be back!

We went there for lunch and had the "Miami Spice" menu. We got a greeting from the kitchen which was very nice and tasteful. Later I had the seared tuna which wasn't perfect and overloaded with an orange juice/ sauce. A reduction would have been better in my opinion. The pasta on the other side was incredible. Caccio&Pepe was incredible and the pasta with branzino the same. Service professional, super friendly and respectful. Very nice interior. Expensive but a really cosy place.

I had such a great time dining here with family and friends. The atmosphere was lively and fun, it's the kind of place that immediately puts you in a good mood. Whether it was the music, the energy of the room, or the warm welcome at the door, the vibe made the whole experience feel special. The food was outstanding. Every dish was full of flavor, thoughtfully prepared, and beautifully presented. You can tell the kitchen takes real pride in what they serve. It’s rare to find a spot where every plate hits the mark, but this one absolutely did. AND the pasta was al dente. If you know, you know! The service tied everything together. The staff was friendly, attentive, and genuinely invested in making sure we had a great time. They struck the perfect balance between being helpful and giving us space to enjoy our meal and each other's company for 3 hours! Overall, this restaurant nails it — excellent food, a fun atmosphere, and top‑notch service. I’m already looking forward to going back.

Came here to celebrate my dad’s birthday. Beautiful interior design and aesthetics overall. Lastima that there was a fire drill during our meal but the staff was so attentive to their customers. We ordered the Prix-fixe dinner. See the pictures below for the individual plate reviews. Overall the tiramisù and halibut were our favorites, perfect combination of flavors!

The atmosphere was welcoming and the service was attentive. The food itself wasn’t bad, but I found the flavors to be a bit too strong for my taste. Some dishes felt a little overwhelming rather than balanced. Overall, it’s a decent spot, but if you prefer more subtle or delicate flavors, this might not be the best fit.

Great ambiance/atmosphere, beautiful design. Soft background music, easy to talk. Reservation ahead recommended (did mine through Open Table), though walk-ins seemed available. Nice service, many different staff throughout service. Food was nice but expected much more for the value; good appetizers and entrees, but did not enjoy the tiramisu dessert – way too thick and mushy, not light and fresh as traditionally expected. Not not-recommended, but wouldn't really return.

Attended a luncheon here and thank goodness tab was not on me… beautiful modern decor and great service but food was average… group of 7 and we shared appetizers one of them The eggplant parm I ordered and this was the worst eggplant parm I have had ever.. overcooked and seemed old from the color and no cheese.. entree for me was cacio pepe it was just ok. Where they do shine is the desserts we ordered 5 and all of them were delicious.. tiramisu was delicious..they do have a lunch special for 35 bucks so if you stick to that then You are ok. I would not comeback here !

Food was awful, looks way better than if taste. We ordered the margherita pizza to start, veil chop, and cacio pepe. The pizza was almost inedible, wayyy too much cheese that hardened so quickly. I almost choked on chewing the cheese, it was so undesirable after two bites. It reminded me of a little Caesar’s cheese pizza, we didn’t even want to take the left over home. Margherita pizza should be light and tasty, all we tasted was cheese. The veil chop lacked flavor, it was as if they didn’t season the meat before or during the process of breading. It tastes like nothing but fried chop. The cacio Pepe was overwhelmingly oily, left a film in your mouth from how much oil was used. Casa Tua makes an amazing cacio Pepe, rich and light at the same time (they should try to copy there’s). We ordered a dessert with three scopes of ice cream, it was ok but nothing special for the price you’re better off going to Hagendazz and getting quality ice scream. The only plus this place had is that the service was phenomenal. I’d give them more stars but the food was just so awful and it’s a scam to pay premium prices for mediocre food.
