First, I want to start off by saying I went to this restaurant for lunch with my family October 1 to the fourth and it was amazing. The waitress that we had name was Julio and the bartender that we had was Juan both of them were very professional hard-working and their customer service is beyond’s amazing. they made us feel very welcome and comfortable. I love this restaurant so much that two weeks later I came back and brought a different group of people and also shop our support. we had amazing time once again. we came October 17 to the 20th. I want to truly think this restaurant and the staff for making our day special. and I hope that when we do decide to come this restaurant is my favorite and I will always remember it. I appreciate the bartender and our waitress so much. Specify but the restaurants and the Magee all the way around is good We love it!

We are staying in hotel and will be back to the bar to see Julio! We got the vanilla expresso, Norwegian Benedict and the avocado toast! Both delicious! The mojitos are perfect! What an awesome experience today. I wish I took more pictures this is such a lovely space! Decorations are beautiful. My husband and I were actually out spreading word about a local brewery that we work for. And we happen to stay for a drink because of the greeting that we receive from manager Pauliho. The bartender was great as was our server Wilson. The food looked amazing will definitely be back to try it!

Excellent early breakfast spot after the morning run! We came back here twice! FOOD: We got a variety of food here, but I personally tried their smoked salmon bagel, which was fresh, well balanced, with great capers and a spinach, feta omelette, which was filling and very tasty. My partner tried their healthy bowl and was also very satisfied. SERVICE: The service was decent with friendly staff and good atmosphere. That said, I expected a little more attention here. We had to wait for a while to ask for the bill. ATMO: What can I say, it’s Miami Beach and getting a morning breeze while having a cup of coffee on a porch is incredible. What else can you ask for?!

Pelican restaurant for breakfast this Sunday morning was beyond excellent in multiple ways. First, from the getgo, the service was impeccable. From greeting us, to bringing us inside (with our dogs), to seating us, throughout the entire meal, it was way beyond the norm. Each of the staff made us feel comfortable. They are warm, genuine, extra helpful, sweet, and hold a beautiful feminine nature (among the woman) and warm masculine gentleman touch from the men. It's truly a wonderful presence to be part of. The music was perfect for us. Simply loved it. What a great vibe of quality throughout as well. They did not go cheap anywhere here. The good was a 10. Everyone was happy; even the dogs ha ha. Thank you for such a great experience.

Even though it was cool outside we decided to eat indoors…. Great idea because the wind picked up! OMG! The Salmon was amazing! …. Accompanied with steamed broccoli and asparagus and a Dijon mustard sauce…. Yummy 😋 The absolutely best mojito in town!! The staff was friendly, so efficient and attentive. Wonderful suggestion for tiramisu… but we had to decide to come back later. We were so delighted with the atmosphere. Thank you Pelican!!

What a great experience we had at the Pelican cafe! Our server was Santiago and he could not have been more accommodating. We shared the Angus Ribeye which was absolutely delicious and the accompanying dishes (asparagus, salad and mashed potatoes were prepared to perfection. The meal was pricey but well worth it. Five stars for sure!

I made a quick visit to Miami due to a friend from London wanting to see south beach. As I walking down the ocean drive strip the host kindly greeted us and invited me to look at the menu. She was so nice I took a quick look at the drink menu and decided to have a quick drink. She sat me down and I took my order, soon after what appeared to be either the manager or owner came up to me and confirmed my order which I promptly asked for him to make the drink strong. He later returned with the drink and it far exceeded my expectations. He checked with to confirm if it was to my liking and told me he didn't charge me extra. I made sure to tip $10 on my $15 drink so show my appreciation. I will definitely be back in a couple weeks with a group to try out the food.

The food here was phenomenal and mouth watering to say the least. I had the homemade lasagna which was to die for. My brother had the skirt steak cooked medium rare with garlic mashed potatoes & asparagus which was cooked to exact perfection. We were blown away at the finishing touch which was my mother having the Chilean Sea Bass. Julio was a great person and he is the one to explain the dishes in a way that will leave you wanting more. The beef carpaccio to start off with was excellent as well with the free complementary bread. What a great price, for a great place, for a great experience! One of the things that stood out is that the chicken bites for the kids was made out of real organic chicken. And they were delicious. I would have ate them. Visiting in South beach, I've stumbled upon Pelican Restcafe. It wasn't as crowded as other places are on the strip of Ocean drive. The hostesses were friendly and sweet. The outdoor seating and indoor seating had a nice ambience touch. Facing towards Ocean Drive. Steps away to the beach. Stylish decor. Pillows on the seats for comfort. The customer service was impeccable. For dinner I had ordered a Bruschetta appetizer and Alaskan King Salmon. The bruschetta came with 4 pieces of toasts. It was perfectly cooked toasted right with a nice crunch. It wasn't soggy. First bite, you taste the crunch and in the middle of the toast it was fresh and soft. For a party of 1, I had eaten only 2. The portion was big for me. I couldn't finish all that. The Alaskan King Salmon paired with asparagus and mixed salad. Soon as I took my first bite, the flavors were lemon and buttery. Can't go wrong with lemon butter! The king salmon grilled cooked to perfection. The skin wasn't soft. It had its slight crunch. I can't get over the flavors! It was so banging. Those flavors were married together. You know when your palates are dancing you are having a good food orgasm in your mouth. Most places can't cook a good salmon. It's either over or under cooked. But for this meal I had it was the best plate ever! Flavors and presentation are key! Kudos to the chef on the plating!

My bestie and I were treated like queens for my birthday dinner. I am a chef and dining out is a treat, however the experience at the Pelican was beyond exceptional. Finest service I have ever received. The food was expertly prepared and presented….perfect timing as well. The front end manager made us feel like family and surprised us with the most delightful desserts! I cannot recommend this restaurant enough….bravo!

How do you describe perfection!!!! The food is as fresh as it could be. Chef Gianluca came to our table because we asked to finally meet an Italian chef in the area that can cook. Being from Italian , it is very hard to find a good authentic Italian restaurant! Chef Gianluca brought me back to my roots. From his eggplant and burrata appetizers to perfectly al dente rigatoni al pomodoro to a light and refreshing tiramisu. The only disappointment was that we wanted to try the pistachio cake, and they were out. The staff from the hostess Monica to our waiter Damien and the other staff impeccable service!!! Grazie e complimenti Chef Gianluca!

We stopped by for their buy 2 get 50% off happy hour. I ordered a Pina colada and Bahama mama. I thought the Pina colada was just ok but the Bahama mama was excellent! Our server was also very kind and let us spread out our drink order even though the 2nd drink would be ordered technically after their happy hour ended.

Went during happy hour and all drinks were 2 for 1 and 30% all food menu items. The outdoor seating made it nice to enjoy the scenery of the beach. Only complaint would be the service, we would have to wait a bit to get our water refilled since.

If you’re sensitive to oil, I don’t think their oil is the best. Stomach ache after having the linguine and friend had a burger. Most likely seed oils or low quality olive oil. It’s a shame because the food was good and the service/atmosphere amazing.

Nice view, bland food. Like nearly every hotel cafe on Ocean Drive, the view is nice but the food is bland. However, unlike most, this place actually provided good service. The waitress was very attentive and polite, a blonde European girl. I guess you could do much worse compared to the typical spot on Ocean Dr.

This was our first time visiting the cafe , specifically for their rooftop seating. You can't beat the view. Came in for breakfast. Drinks and coffees were good. Food not so much. Got Lobster Bennedict and Steak Benedict and American bfast. American bfast (which is hard to mess up anyway) was good. Both benedicts were terrible. Lobster one in particular was very salty and very fishy tasting and smelling . Tasted like an old frozen Lobster meat was served . Service was excellent and so was the ambience. We will be back to try lunch or the other blast options, only giving it another go because of the rooftop seating on ocean drive, you can't beat that .

The food is extremely overpriced and the service is slow and lacking. The food is ok, but not worth your time. Not recommended in the slightest. Oh, and avoid the restrooms at all costs. Absolutely disgusting.

Service is nonexistent. The waiter listened to half of the order and decided it was enough for him to leave. Drinks were never brought out.

Would be zero stars if I could, got charged $72 for 2 daiquiris during there 2 for 1 happy hour after asking what frozen drinks were included in the deal and after asking why we were charged they couldn't explain why. terrible service

Ate here a few times, food average but it was convenient for us. Some staff really nice, one awful waitress though - Franciesca - who served a table who sat down after us, and then went off on one when I pointed out we’d let three people know we’d like to order and still she was ignoring us. Incredibly rude, unprofessional and even aggressive. Just no need for it however busy someone is. Wouldn’t go back.

They charged us 20% of the service charge and saying it is mandatory. No one bring us water as we asked and when i asked to call the manager, he was really disappointed. And literally didn’t want to listen me. The food was awful, we was after flight, tired and hungry. I don’t think this fair to charge 20% for doing literally nothing. I won’t recommend this restaurant no anyone.

We visited this restaurant twice, and both times we had unpleasant situations regarding promotions and billing. During our first visit, the hostess told us there was a 20% discount on food. However, when we received the bill, the discount was not applied. Only after the waiter checked with the hostess was the discount added. Also, the service charge during our first visit was 10%. On our second visit, the hostess told us there was a “buy one, get one free” promotion on food. After we were seated, we decided to confirm this with the waiter, and he told us that the promotion applied only to cocktails. We agreed. I ordered a non-alcoholic mojito, and the second one was supposed to be complimentary. Logically, a non-alcoholic cocktail should not cost $24 and should be cheaper. First, the waiter brought a bill where the mojito was listed as $12. A few minutes later, he brought another bill where the non-alcoholic mojito was listed as $24, and he quickly folded that check and put it in his pocket so we could not photograph it. In addition, during our second visit, we were not even served water, and no napkins were brought to the table. Additionally, during our first visit the service charge was 10%, but during the second visit it was 20%. This raises a question -what does it depend on? It creates the impression that the service charge is adjusted based on how the staff evaluate the guests and whether they think they will leave a tip. This feels very unprofessional and discriminatory. During our first visit, we even left an additional tip on top of the service charge. This time, with such treatment, there is absolutely no desire to leave a tip or recommend this restaurant. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this place to my friends or in my blog. I suggest that guests be very careful and clarify all promotions and charges in advance.
