The Local House is a charming boutique hotel, and our stay was truly wonderful. The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home. The location is ideal—peaceful yet just steps from the beach. The hotel provides convenient beach amenities, including towels, two chairs, and an umbrella. There’s also a restaurant on the ground floor and a rooftop lounge where we enjoyed relaxing in the evenings with a pleasant breeze. The surrounding area is very convenient, with numerous restaurants, a Starbucks, a small market, and a Walgreens just next door. Overall, The Local House offers both comfort and convenience in a beautiful setting.
Great place for breakfast or brunch, what we had was very delicious!
Visiting South Beach for a few days. Our first morning searching for a breakfast spot and we tried this spot. The food is delicious and the service is superb. The waitstaff is so friendly and sweet. Putting this spot on my favorite’s list.
Had such a fantastic brunch that we decided to come back for dinner. The food was amazing (french toast for brunch and the snapper at dinner) and the drinks (kiwi crush and wake me up) were even better! The waitstaff was super friendly too! Loved The Local House restaurant!!
As self-professed foodies, the “perfect meal” has proven rare indeed for my wife and I….but last night’s dinner at Local House would absolutely be in that discussion. The ambiance was very comfortable given the lighting, music playlist, furniture & overall aesthetics. Our meal included the pink shrimp appetizer, mussels w/linguine, and snapper with curry sauce. Each dish was so well prepared that the main ingredients truly shined bright: the shrimp, mussels & snapper were all fresh and flavorful, and the kitchen’s vision for each dish was delightful. And while every staff member we encountered was outstanding…your experience will be heightened if you’re fortunate enough to be served by Jacob, whose experience, knowledge and ever respectful personality added so much to our meal. We’re in South Beach for a week and this was only our first dinner: we are already considering another meal here before we leave.
It was an outstanding Experience in this Beautiful Café. Not just the Quality of the food was amaizing but the whole Team working here is more than lovely. We went here for Lunch First and came back the day after for breakfast. It is more quieter than in other places but 100% worth the Trip. Highlight : fresh made pinapple juice 😍 Inside the Ambiente with fresh flowers on the tables is worth exploring. 🥰
A top pick for food and it is true that they are best breakfast in Miami Beach. The Egg Lobster 🦞 N Blue Crab breakfast was amazing !!!!! So good. My wife had a very tasty wrap so thank-you to thr very professional staff for amazing experience.
The quality of food and service at Local House is always top notch. Bruno provided exceptional service. The Wake Me Up (expresso martini with lil mini panckakes) was delicious. The Breakfast Smash Burger is the best burger at the beach. My wife always gets the Lobster Benedict and I always have a few bites. It is perfectly cooked and always a treat.
Wow! Wow! Wow! This place was sooo good! The goat cheese croquettes with guava were spectacular! I'm going to be dreaming of those for awhile. The snapper with coconut cream curry and baby squash were delicious. And the key lime pie was the perfect way to end the meal. The staff were extremely kind and helpful. I sat outside and enjoyed a breezy evening, but they have interior seating as well. Highly recommend this spot if you're enjoying the beach or just visiting the area.
Absolutely fantastic breakfast! We decided to come here on a whim, and it didn’t disappoint. The only downside I’ll mention is that the drinks are a bit pricey in my opinion. Aside from that, the atmosphere was fantastic, and the waitress was very good. I would definitely come back and eat here again.
Great location, close to the beach. A fantastic place for a delicious breakfast. Very good coffee, the tropical salad with shrimp is first-rate, and the lobster roll is pure poetry. Wow, wow, I recommend it!
Just a great place to sit outside and visit with your people. Bruno is a great server. He was so attentive yet knew when to let us have great conversations too…
Great spot for lunch in Miami Beach. The food was excellent and clearly made with quality ingredients, and the service was friendly and attentive without being overbearing. The location is perfect — easy to get to and a great place to relax and enjoy a meal. Would definitely come back and recommend it to anyone in the area.
Love this place!! We stopped by to grab a lunch before we left Miami. I feel so good getting a healthy boost meal… after all the heavy carbs
We LOVED this spot. Got to sit outside in comfy chairs with the ocean breeze and enjoy some really fanatic crab brunch options. The lobster eggs benefit and lobster roll were both fantastic. We really enjoyed the quality and taste of the food. The atmosphere was probably our favorite part — the outdoor seating makes for the perfect Miami Beach brunch.
I love this place. The Local House doesn’t only bring back memories of my beautiful wedding but also is a place I always live to return. Macarena's service and attention is excellent, always so attentive, helpful and with such good energy that you actually feel at home. Come and visit this beautiful place and with this wonderful decoration; elegant , refined and with a tasteful beach atmosphere!
The Local House never disappoints. I’ve been coming here for years every time I visit Miami. The breakfast is always consistently good. I ordered the lobster Benedict. It came with home fries. I opted to have my egg scrambled instead Of poached. It was really delicious. The lobster was cooked perfectly. The home fries were seasoned just right. We also ordered a carafe of mimosa. That too was mixed well. Local House itself is a very cute spot inside and out. Clean and staff is very attentive and friendly. It’s located in the quieter part of the beach on 4th and Ocean. The food is always quality and I will continue to return. Highly suggest a visit here.
Staying in the area for work, stumbled in because it looked busy! Grabbed dinner and a few cocktails. Andrii, one the servers immediately recommended the Duck dish they have. It was duck, with fresh farm to table mushrooms over glass noodles Asian style. It was so good that It will be a dish I think about for awhile. The cocktails were made to perfection and best of all the staff was super friendly. Shout out to Mila, Tatiana, Mina, and Andrii- thank you for your welcoming hospitality. They were so nice I came back a few more times during my visit to hang out.
When you walk into your favorite brunch spot and your Cortado’s already waiting for you, you know you’re in the right place. That’s how Ama treats me every single time. The warmth, the consistency, the attention to detail, its perfection. Couldn’t give a better recommendation if I tried. Everyone is so nice and attentive. Thank you!
It has been a pleasure to be here. All people working here have been so kind and helpful to us. Mila and LJ gave us a fantastic service at the restaurant, with their sympathy and great conversations. However, I wouldn’t like to forget the rest of waitresses, concierge and housekeepers. The beach is around the corner, the umbrella and the deckchair service is a plus if you want to enjoy a relaxing time there. The little swimming pool at the rooftop it’s a catchy area to refresh again, bring some drinks and reset. Me and my friend definitely would come back to Local House Miami
The restaurant is quite modern yet cozy! We were initially skeptical of the food but were absolutely blown away by how beautiful and tasty everything was! We highly recommend the lobster mac & cheese (really truffle squid ink pasta), the crab cake, the Brussels sprouts and the creamed spinach! The smoked chicken was delicious too!
Well, I drove 4 hours just to have their Lobster 🦞Benedict 🍳and Lobster Bites. It was my 4th day trying to make it here on my bday trip. And when I finally made it, they were all out of lobster. 🥺😩 So the waitress suggested the crab 🦀cakes. They were actually awesome! 🤤 (I still preferred to have tried the lobster). Also tried the keylime French toast (minus the coconuts, because I hate them 🤢), they too were amazeballs! The Truffle hollandaise and salmon was 😋! The avocado🥑 toast wasn't the best, but not the worst. My friend felt the toast was too soggy. But she overly loved the Coradito. ☕ Cute atmosphere. Busy foot traffic 👣, but not too busy. Overall, I'd go back. 😏
Great service. Lobster beni is really good. The mimosa pitcher is a great deal and is the equivalent of ~6 glasses.
Very pleasant timing for Saturday brunch. Amazing experience. Food arrived really quick, literally 10 mins and it was delicious. Usually pancakes are dry, this one was omg ! Amazing ! You have to try it. We had 3 dishes and one pitcher of mimosa for $114 including tip. I’m happy and will come back.
Six of us stayed here after a cruise last August and we absolutely loved it! Such a cool property and in a great location. Steps from the beach & nightlife but not affected noise. Rooms are a good size and there are handy beach chairs and also a parasol. Great idea and very useful. We really enjoyed the rooftop area and small pool which is great to cool off. Food in the restaurant is amazing especially breakfast or brunch. Will definitely stay here again if in Miami.
Fantastic service and delicious food. Bruno took care of our table and was so attentive making sure service was prompt and high quality so we could enjoy our food.
The location is perfect and staff is amazing. We arrived very early from cruise and they were able to get us into a room! Rooms are beautiful and very well appointed. Food was good and drinks were amazing especially the nonalcoholic one made with homemade watermelon juice.
Quant little corner restaurant with very eclectic drink and food menu. The service was great and the bartender even came over to talk to us about our cocktails, a very nice level of attention you don't get very often. Highly recommend the smash burger!
I normally don’t do reviews but I had to give this place credit. Normally beach restaurants are skimpy on the portions. The Local House did not have that problem. I would highly recommend the lobster Benedict. The portion was massive and the flavor was on point. I would definitely go back. Plus it is away from the high traffic areas on south beach.
Amazing food, very friendly and attentive staff. We didn’t know the operating hours and we went to this restaurant early in the morning. They were not even opened, the staff was busy with prep. and setting up as they noticed we were waiting outside, one of the staff member left everything behind and setup a table for us first. How gentle and friendly could be someone who just started his/her shift (right person for this profession). I ordered Skirt Steak for my breakfast (Lol) do yourself a favor and try it. And my wife ordered French toast. The food was delicious. We revisit this place to try Benedict’s Eggs which were delicious too. Our favorite place in South Beach Miami. Thank you guys.
Super nice relaxing brunch before the beach. Our waiter Bruno was attentive and nice. We enjoyed the lobster Benedict, the breakfast smash burger, and avacado toast. All was delicious.
We’ve had such a wonderful experience staying at this hotel for our honeymoon. The staff has been incredibly friendly and welcoming from the moment we arrived. They had everything ready for us during the first four nights before our cruise—including special decorations in our room that really made us feel celebrated. We came back for one more night after the cruise, and the service and atmosphere were just as great. The on-site restaurant has been a go-to for us—the food is consistently delicious, and we found ourselves choosing to eat there multiple times. Also, the rooftop pool is a hidden gem! It’s quiet, relaxing, and has such a great vibe—we’re surprised more people don’t take advantage of it. The location is perfect. It’s in a quieter part of the South Beach strip but still within easy walking distance to the beach, shops, and restaurants. Overall, we couldn’t be happier with our stay. This place went above and beyond, and we’re so glad we chose it for our honeymoon. Thank you!
Stumbled across this place on a Tuesday around lunch after getting back from the airport. The outside seating was great with the weather, and the inside was very nicely decorated. My friend and I both got the Espresso Martinis - the little pancakes were a nice touch! I ordered the Mahi sandwich which I thought was good, and my friend got the scrambled eggs with lobster and crab - nice large chunks of seafood.
We chose to sit outside and it was so nice. I got a blueberry drink (forgot the name of it but it was delicious and recommended by the server) and my fiancé got a fresh pressed pineapple juice. He got the Lobster Benedict, per our servers recommendation.. and I got the prosciutto pesto croissant sandwich. I didn’t want anything too heavy so that’s all I got, though the server did let me know that it wouldn’t be enough for him if he were to eat it so that I could decide on if I wanted to add any sides or not. I figured I didn’t want to walk around with a full stomach. We were satisfied with our visit, the food, and the service. Easy place to stop by and grab a brunch/bite!
Amazing brunch place! The staff is very nice and they’re quick too. We went on a Saturday and even though there were a lot of people, we were seated within 25 minutes. The two hosts are really nice. The food is PHENOMENAL! We had the Local Breakfast, the blueberry pancakes, and the key lime French toast. The key lime French toast isn’t like anything I’ve had before; it’s truly one of the best French toasts I’ve ever had. It truly tastes like key lime without taking away the flavor of the toast. It’s also topped with strawberries which gives it a nice sweet touch! The orange juice tastes AMAZING! It’s natural and refreshing. It’s not sour at all. It’s the right amount of sweet. The ambiance of the place is nice too. Very beachy and peaceful. It makes you want to stay and come back. They also have hand sanitizer in very cute bottles at the tables. Very thoughtful! Overall this place is amazing! Definitely coming back soon.
The key lime french toast was delicious! It felt like I was eating dessert for breakfast which I can't complain about. I've eaten a lot of french toast and normally I don't even like key lime but this was seriously good. The service was great, my side of sausages were delicious, no complaints! 🍞
Just came here for a fabulous dinner date. The atmosphere is so cute and cozy (we sat inside but the patio on a nice night is dreamy). The Kiwi Crush cocktail was delicious and fresh. Jakob was the sweetest server - perfectly charming and checking in, but never intrusive. Try the mushrooms!!
Brunch at The Local House – South Beach, Ocean Drive We had a wonderful brunch at The Local House in South Beach, located on Ocean Drive near Fourth Street. This charming café, nestled below a boutique hotel, offers a cozy and inviting atmosphere that made our experience even more enjoyable. Our server, Ama, was an absolute delight! She was incredibly sweet, attentive, and provided great recommendations for our meal. Her friendly service truly enhanced our visit. For brunch, we enjoyed the Ocean Benedict, a single blueberry pancake à la carte (just to try it), and the tuna tartare, which we shared. Each dish was fresh, flavorful, and satisfying—a perfect balance of savory and sweet. The setting of The Local House is simply adorable, making it a great spot for a relaxing meal by the beach. If you’re in South Beach and looking for a delicious brunch with excellent service, this is definitely a place worth visiting! We’ll be back for sure.
This restaurant was the first one we walked by as we exited our airbnb. One look at the menu and we were sold! The food exceeded our expectations — fresh and decadent. The serving sizes were perfect for both lunch and breakfast. We sat outside and enjoyed the breeze as we sipped on a couple cocktails. The waiters were all so caring and we never had our water glasses empty, which was very much appreciated in the Miami heat.
Very cute place in south beach. Food is good, I like their eggs Benedict with lobster and also crabcakes. Green salad appetizer is huge and delicious. They have indoor and outdoor seating, both are cute. Coffee is good and they offer several fresh juices. Seafood scrumble is also really good.
We make it a point to eat at different places, but this is one place we would gladly go back to. The food was absolutely delicious! Service was friendly! Inside is smaller, so recommend making a reservation. Outside seating is ample and allows you to take in the vibes. Try the Breakfast Pinsa. My leftovers were just as good the next morning 😋.
To start with, there is no front desk. The staff was sitting on a small couch when we entered and stood immediately to warmly welcome us. Everything was just perfect from the staff to the hotel, to the location - less than a block from the beach, with complimentary lounge and umbrella at the beach - to the roof deck pool and party area. The small balcony over looking ocean ave was very nice. The street noise was cut off as soon as the patio door was closed. Overall, an excellent hotel.
We stayed at the hotel but did not eat here. The hotel is adorable. The atmosphere is calm and relaxing. The staff is attentive and friendly. The beds are like sleeping on a cloud. Walking distance to so many things to do. Our only complaint is that the shower floor is extremely slippery. Other than that, we will definitely be back!
Here’s a polished, enthusiastic version you can post as a review while keeping your voice and energy: Why waste your time going anywhere else? If you’re in South Beach and want the best food, best service, and best prices, this is the place. I’m seriously considering buying a condo in this neighborhood just to be close to this restaurant. You have to try the steak and the white burrito—who puts filet mignon in a burrito?! That’s not even profitable… yet these guys do it, and they do it incredibly well. Absolutely amazing. Did I mention I might buy a condo next door just to eat here more often? Thank you!
I had a fantastic time at this restaurant! The atmosphere was lovely, and dining at 4pm provided a perfect opportunity to enjoy the cool ambiance. I especially enjoyed the delicious Sister Margarita, Tropical Garden, and Roasted Red Pepper Hummus - they were all fantastic! While the Crab Cake Benedict was good, it didn't quite match up to the amazing drinks and appetizers. Definitely, I plan to go back to try their breakfast and other meals, as the menu offers a great selection of options. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant for its wonderful atmosphere and delicious menu options.
This place definitely has a relaxed and fun vibe! Love the decor, the kindness of the employees, the drink menu is full of tasty drinks. They have a delicious kiwi drink. The food is superb. One of those restaurants where you are savoring the food on your plate but still envy the plates being served around you. Wish I had not been on vacation as I would eat here often!
Nos encantó The Local House!!
Overall it was a nice experience. Service is friendly and professional, but as often in USA, food is just over salty, over saucy, overly spicy. But big portions. I did not like my Eggs Benedict sparkled with so much different spices and unnecessary thick Canadian bacon. Especially home fries! Look at it! Paprika and various spices all over. Can’t understand whether you eat tikka masala or potatoes.
The egg lobster (Even glutenfree bread) and the Salmon Bowl had been good. Loud music at Lunch time, but some people enjoy. Not cheap, after +20% service + tax.
This was my second time visiting The Local House but first time staying at the hotel and it did not disappoint! My friend and I are travel bloggers and came to shoot some content to entice people to come to Miami for their vacations. We were able to share the spacious rooms with private balconies, the rooftop pool + the delicious brunch specials and happy hour drinks. We felt right at home and the best part is that it's right in the middle of all the hot spots in South Beach. Everything was within walking distance including the beach (just 2 minutes away) and all the popular restaurant and bars. Perfect location and place to stay for an intimate and authentic getaway in Miami!
Food was delicious, service was great... the only bad thing is that our server said that they had a coconut dessert... 30 minutes later no dessert, so I asked again... he apologized saying he forgot about my request... I was celebrating a friends birthday... another 39 minutes passed. He finally came back apologizing again saying that they ruined out of the coconut dessert... so... I didnt had the chance to sing Happy Birthday to my friend but we all enjoyed a nice breeze and yummy brunch... will come back and try again sometime soon.
The Local house is a super cute place, from the design of the place to the presentation of the food. The flavors however weren't mouth watering, they were good but not great. I would definitely still recommend the place, it is super fresh and they have a lot of great options to choose from. I did not try their eggs Benedict which is their specialty, so maybe that is the secret!!
Was feeling adventurous for breakfast a few days ago and decided to try something a little more upscale. The lobster Benedict looked interesting so I stopped by. The place itself is nicely located, I ate outside so didn't see the interior but was far enough away from the traffic to be quiet. They had some very nice larger tables and bench seating with plants around them that almost looked like a private space while still being in the outside seating. There were some very productive construction crews working on the building across the street but you can't knock a business for that. My server was quick, attentive and friendly and refilled my water several times. Two big thumbs up! I got the lobster Benedict with the truffle sauce and an orange juice. Overall it was pretty bland in my eyes. The lobster wasn't particularly flavorful but really the whole dish wasnt. The English muffin was a little over crispy as well. The potato pieces that came with it were very good. It wasn't bad by any means, but when the bills over 40 bucks for breakfast I'd kinda expect the socks I wasn't wearing to get knocked off. Maybe just wasn't for me, but considering my experience I'd try it again.
Started this Miami morning at The Local House. Lobster Benedict, parmesan fries, and a side of sunshine. Egg was maybe a little too dominant, but the lobster still had its moment. Fries—easily addictive. Filmed some of it for our Miami food vlog, dropping soon 👀. More on IG & YouTube: @oneberkofficial
Muy lindo lugar, muy bien ambientado, muy bien atendido, hemos comido reiteradas veces y muy rico , variedad de platos y de tragos
My travel companion selected and paid for the room, so it was fine. But if I had paid the $500/night I would have been annoyed by the scratchy TP and Kleenex and the teeny-tiny non-absorbant bath towels that I'm pretty sure are the same brand used by motel 6. No hooks in the bathroom to hang things. If you're a large person you may not be able to get into the shower because the door opens to the wall and is blocked by the counter, rather than opening into the room. 6' tall and 200# was cutting it close. There's one run down rusty chair in the room that is difficult to move and leans forward so you slide out of it. The bathroom light has a mind of its own and turns on and off randomly throughout the day and night, illuminating the bedroom because there's window from the bathroom to the bedroom. Staff was lovely, food was good.
I used to go to The Local House quite often and always enjoyed the great food and excellent service. Unfortunately, on my last visit, I noticed the quality of the food has gone down while the prices have gone up. It’s disappointing because this used to be one of my favorite spots in the area. I hope they bring back the same quality and consistency they had before.
★★★ The service at Local House Miami Beach was phenomenal. Our server was incredibly attentive and a pleasure to interact with; I even left an extra tip for him above the 20% thats automatically added. Unfortunately, I don’t recall his name, but he definitely enhanced our experience. The cappuccino was excellent, and the fried calamari was delicious. However, the Ocean Benedict was a letdown. It barely had any salmon, the tomatoes were in giant chunks and tasted old, and the spinach was bland and unseasoned. The poached eggs were overcooked, which didn’t help the dish. The venue itself is stunning, and the ambiance is top-notch, but for a $70+ bill, I expected better food quality. I’d return for the service and certain items, but the kitchen needs some improvement.
Nice restaurant off the strip with good food and average customer service. We were informed of things the kitchen did not have before we ordered, which we appreciated. We didn’t like the banana pancakes…neither the cakes nor the banana syrup were sweet. The dish was barely touched. We brought this to the attention of our server, but he took no action, which was disappointing.
It was pretty neat to sit in the very spot Versace used to frequent. Great service, but unfortunately we would not recommend this place for breakfast. Neither the breakfast wrap or sandwich we ordered were good and we left hungry after not being able to eat them. I since learned it's changed hands and the menu isn't what it was. But worth stopping in for a coffee, and check out the historical pictures inside!
The food was okay. They sat us outside to a table, then the server told us to move because it’s going to start raining. They seated us by the door to a very small table. It never rained and they sat another party at our first table
We stopped there for a dinner. The food was mediocre at best. The service was slow and not particularly friendly. No personnel was proficient in English and communication was difficult. Finally, they charged 20% service fee without mentioning it, and anticipated tips on top of that. Some dishes came out significantly more expensive than indicated in the menu. Overall, awful experience. Bad food, bad service -- all this for inflated prices and hidden charges. I hope ICE pays them a visit in the near future.
The brunch was super-good and just due to the quality of the food I would like to give a five stars review. But unfortunately the team has no coordination and they do not communicate with each other. I expect when I am told by one of the team that we can leave our suitcases at their guesthouse/lockers (...) even if we are not guests (we said that many times!) that the team is reliable enough that they tell their coworkers so this is gonna working out when we are coming to the place the next they to leave our luggage. They did not make any effirt to help us, they were super rude - even if we ate many times at their place during our stay - and we had to take our luggage to the beach. wow worst experience in this fantastic trip!
