Avis sur Thorn Miami
This spot is tucked away between a parking garage and a complex apartment building. Really nice spot to come hangout and grab a few drinks. We came by on a Friday and paid 5 bucks for parking for 3 hours at the parking garage next door. I didn't really check around if there was free parking. But we walking a short walk from the parking garage and the spot is very cool looking. They offer indoor sitting or outdoor sitting on both sides or along the side where they have like a bench sitting overlooking the walkway path. It is in priced on the higher end but it's a nice spot to go on a date or to catch up. I did see a family with a child inside. They also had a live DJ playing which was fun. My bestie had the Avicii and I had two ham croquetta. The croquetta was really good. I also had two tito and red bull.
Excellent bartender and drinks! The bartender is extremely professional and very precise in how he prepares the specialty and unique cocktails and drinks on the menu. He is calm and measured. This leads to a very consistent drink quality and taste. This may sound like a small detail, but in my opinion this separates an excellent bar and bartender from the herd of plain and heartless bars with no soul or class. Seeing professionalism, precision, discipline and focus in a bartender and the product he puts out is unique and very special. This is why I have visited this bar and was very happy with the product they serve. I found the food and environment very comfortable and friendly. It's in a beautiful and very safe area. This is a unique one off concept. I will definitely visit this bar again. I found the prices of the drinks and food to be extremely fair. I say this in light of the high quality and consistency of the excellent drinks they pour. Consistency and quality is everything. They provide both and the taste and class of the product shows the discipline in pouring the drinks. 👍👍
Food & drinks were great! Service was the cherry on top. Sam, our waiter was super accommodating and fast. Will definitely come back
If you're looking to try some delicious fried OLIVES, yes, olives, check out Thorn on Ladies Night Thursdays! I was extremely lucky to have been able to taste fried olives for the first time during the unveiling photo shoot! Right place, right time, delicious first time and I am definitely going back for more! These one of a kind fried olives were tasty, perfectly crisp and impossible to just have one!! If you're an olives fan, these are a must try! I was extremely impressed as the thought of fried olives never crossed my mind, but now they are my new favorite. Live music, great ambiance, friendly staff, perfectly priced happy hour menu items from 4-7PM M-F, and must try fried olives!
I absolutely loved the atmosphere and music of this place. It’s ideal for a date night with your special one. The drinks were very original and felt very refreshing and balanced. The food was also delicious, with the wagyu meatballs being the highlight for me. But what took the crown was the bread pudding. The combination of flavors really made for a special experience and I highly recommend it. Lastly, the service was great! Both our servers were attentive and chill, and gave us great recommendations both on food and drinks. Overall, this place left a really good impression and I will definitely be coming back again.
Jolene took care of us as if we were regulars!! And we definitely plan to be. I'm always down for a good burger, and this spot just moved to the top of my list 🤤 the drinks were delicious and packed their punch, and the environment was very cozy and casual. We seriously can't wait to go back with our friends!
Great hidden gem. Been wanting to try place out for sometime, glad we did. Came in for HH. Great food, TV for games everywhere. Server were friendly n patient. Food was good. We had the meatballs, osters, n pizza. Strong drinks n Great craft beer selection. Feels like a mini wynwood/coco walk. Live DJ at night. Pet friendly.
Thorn exceeded my expectations! The drinks, including the fantastic mocktails, were exceptional, crafted with precision and creativity. Each sip was a delight! 🤤 The food was divine; every dish was expertly prepared. Our waiter, Alan, provided impeccable service. He was welcoming, attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. I wholeheartedly recommend Thorn to anyone looking for an unforgettable dining experience. This place is a gem!! 💎

The experience was unparalleled thanks to Fiona. She handled all kinds of rowdy customers with grace and didn’t allow it to damper her mood with us. I’ll be back, not because of the food, music, etc. Fiona killed it.
Food, drinks, service, atmosphere all top notch. Our server Uly was amazing and the manager AD makes sure that guests feel at home and are taken care of. If I could rate this place a thousand stars I would.
Wonderful service and food. The chef came out and asked how it was and gave some recs. Portions are large and it’s reasonably priced in such a cool atmosphere. Will repeat when I’m in miami!
A great little hidden gem of a place, good food and drinks and the service was friendly
service at thorn is amazing! Larry is an amazing host! makes sure you feel welcome and everything is on point! if you ever want to spend an good time with friends THIS IS THE SPOT!!! always!
My new favorite bar!!!! Their HH is the best. I love sitting at the bar getting a drinking listening to the dj and watching the heat game. Such a great vibe. Love love love
Alan, who I thought was the owner, turn out to be our server. He explained all the nuance of the menu, which lead to the best dining experience. Guys I recommend to go to Thorn and request Alan as your server.
The worst thing is the parking Drinks 👍 Food👍 Ambience 👍
Let me tell yaa! OMGGGGGGG the food is DELICIOUS but in another level! Wow! I am super impressed. We ordered the Octopus, the burger and the steak frites. Amazing
Amazing wings! Great service. In general all the food is awesome. I definitely recommend.
hidden gem good good, great music. just between westchester and Coral Gables. Had the margarita pizza and meatball dish definitely a great destination.
This Place is Amazing, Patty was awesome, her Service was so Helpfull Thank you so Much.
This was my first time here, and my friends had been here before. Fiona was awesome! She was super friendly & gave us great suggestions. She also told us about happy hour so we could really get the biggest “bang for our buck”… will definitely be returning!! Love the vibe, the food, and the drinks. A hidden gem for real!
Great place to hang out hand good drinks, yummy food and cool atmosphere. The wings were fire! Totally recommend and look forward to going back. Depending on the time you go parking can be a challenge.
My first time here. Excellent (excellent) service, really nice atmosphere and the food and drinks are great. Private parking service, (via parking app), attached to the property, is the only issue, but Thorn will validate your parking, so it should be fine. I will definitely be back, there are a lot of dishes and drinks on the menu that I want to try.
Super welcome for the neighborhood. Friendly, decent prices and great staff. Drinks are solid, food is great. Music is cool and at a normal volume so you can actually hear the people you are with. If you can take an Uber as parking can be challenging. Great place. Happy to have it in the hood.
Great service. Evan and Jolene were amazing. Drinks were so good. The food yummy. And the vibe was chill. Adding chablis and patty . 100 stars for thorn!
Coziest neighborhood bar with outdoor seating for those cool Miami evenings.
i come here pretty often and it has always been a fun time, a lovely bar thats a hidden gem. they have amazing food, vegan options and the vibes are always high i came here last night and kelly was great and witty! thank you!
This place is a must go! The staff are great people and always provide the best service! Food is amazing and the happy hour prices are ridiculously low. Don’t wait , if you are local get in your car and check it out! Trust me lol
Best happy hour in town! $1 oysters and they were EXCELLENT. Everything we tried was delicious and the drinks were just as good. Great music and ambiance. Service was outstanding as well . Can’t wait to go back !
Thorn is an actual gem for the area. It's a chill spot that's got a strong bar, amazing food, vibes, and even an ice cream bar. Bulgogi fries are awesome, and almost everything they serve is great.
Had the funnest night at Trivia! So fun and great service! Will definitely be back.
I’ve been here before but the food today was on point. Compliments to the kitchen crew. Bar service was amazing. The music selection was not one i would select but nice crowd..
Daniel and Madeline and Bianca, Fiona, Chibs are the best. My favorite bar! #teamthorn
Good place for happy hour.
Thorn is a standout local cocktail bar lounge in the Bird Road Arts District. The food is delicious, and the drinks are exceptional, crafted by skilled mixologists—a rarity in the area. The venue boasts a light, open, and airy atmosphere with various seating options surrounding the centerpiece bar, adorned with tasteful eclectic furniture. The option of homemade Cry Baby Creamery for dessert adds an extra layer of charm to the experience. Overall, Thorn offers a delightful combination of great food, outstanding drinks, and inviting ambiance, making it a must-visit spot for cocktail enthusiasts.
I live nearby and finally had the chance to visit. Had fun coming here for lunch. Loved the vibe of the music. Had the hummus plate and Caesar salad and the Reset Button mock tail. My Dad had the lemon pepper chicken wings and claims they’re the best he’s ever had! So glad to see this place doing well, and I’m very excited for the future of the Ludlam Trail development. This place will be a stellar stop! I’ll be back to actually try the drinks soon! ✨
Always order a ride here, have never found parking. Outside seating has nice breeze but indoors is ideal if you want freezing cool temperature. Hard to find hard liquor unless you’re at a sports bar in West Miami so this place is an easy pick every time if you want a classier/upscale vibe without going to Doral, Dadeland or The Palms T&C. Still a super relaxed place nonetheless Split a Thorn burger, oysters and 8 house cocktails for under $200 ; pretty hard to beat and have heard happy hour prices are even better
Thorn exceeded my expectations in every way. The steak dish was cooked to perfection, tender and bursting with flavor. Surprisingly, the cauliflower dish stole the show, turning a simple vegetable into a culinary masterpiece. The drinks were on point, with a wide variety of brews to choose from. The comfortable seating and cozy fire pit added to the inviting ambiance. The service was exceptional, with friendly staff going above and beyond. Whether you’re a food lover or beer enthusiast, Thorn is a must-visit destination for a delightful dining experience.
Honestly this place is a a whole vibe. It's like Cheers but younger lol. The pizza is AMAZING! But seriously I've never tasted anything there I didn't like. They have the best happy hour from 3-7. They also have a live DJ some nights. A cool place to go on a first date or even a fun night out with your hubby or friends. The best part is the staff though. Lo, Fiona, Allen, Azarie, Ari, Larry and Yuli just to name a few. Okay I know I sound like I was paid to write this review. But I swear I wasn't. I just live nearby and can't stay away! Lol. Trust me on this one, you won't regret it.
Great food and service and the atmosphere is usually very laid back. I also recommend asking Bianca to be your server, she’s amazing! As a regular, my only complaint would be that whenever a DJ is at the restaurant, the volume is honestly unbearable as my friends and I could barely hear each other.
Great vibe, great food and drink selections but the best part is the customer service. I had an issue with a broken glass my beer was brought to me with and they're was no back and forth or questioning. The waiter took amazing care of us and was very apologetic. That did not spoil the night thought. The live band was on point and played awesome!! With the combo of food, drinks, service and a live band, you can never go wrong. Visit this place you won't regret it!!
Went for the first time last night. The DJ had the best mixes I’ve heard in years (no exaggeration). He did not miss once!!! Alan waited on my friends and me and was super attentive. The food was really good too, but honestly, I’m coming back for Alan and the fire music. Cheers!
The cocktails were great! Colorful, balanced and presentation is nice. Burger portion was small but it did taste good! Honey truffle sriracha wings were bomb and a must try if you have a tolerance for spicy. This place has a fair happy hour that includes some food items. Parking here isn’t great but if you can find a spot you should check it out!
The drinks were delightful, the food delicious, but the service is what made the experience top notch! Alan ( Allen?) was absolutely incredible at taking care of us with warmth and kindness. He was working so hard serving the whole floor on his own. The bar staff, runners and kitchen team were delightful too, just didn't catch their names.
Went on a date here. Very vibrant and alive atmosphere. Great service.
We hosted an event with Thorn. Erika and the whole team was so helpful and easy to work with and they went above and beyond to ensure our event went great. Will definitely be back for happy hour. Drinks and food were good!!!! And love the spot. Parking is a little hard at peak times, but where isn’t in Miami. still love the location.
Alan was the best part of this place! Happy hour food is decent, to be expected for a HH menu. The pizza was surprisingly delicious though! The cocktails were so tasty and very appealing to the eye. I really loved that the DJ started early, not at some ungodly hour in the wee hours of the morning.
Great vibe, excellent live performances on weekends. Good cocktails, food and service.
Nestled hidden gem kinda off the grid hidden south of Bird Road. Thorn is a vibe - table seating as well as bar top. Beautifully curated cocktails and a well put together menu. It’s nice having great food without the further drive to coral gables or downtown. Staff is absolutely awesome - bartender was the sweetest and management is awesome. You won’t be disappointed - will definitely be back!
Last night we celebrated our companies Holiday party at Thorn. WOW, what an amazing time. Food was 10 out of 10, Music was on point and Karaoke was spectacular. The topper of the night was the staff everyone was on top of every detail. Big thanks to Evan for making the night extra special and highly promoting his co-workers and management. Look forward to coming back.
The review posted below is false (posted a few minutes ago). The reviewer intentionally hid from others to take a table. She never waited in line or spoke to any employee. She stole the table. Take a look at this reviewer’s comment history, it speaks for itself. I personally saw her sit down right away and then submit a false review. Thorn is a great place.
Had a great time here with some friends and acquaintances. I had the burger and it hit the spot. Happy hour was excellent and the music is great, will definitely return.
Great venue. The house old fashioned tastes like an old fashioned crossed with banana pudding which is delicious. Solid smash burger which is all I ask for. Nothing gimmicky about this place which is refreshing. If I lived closer I would eat and drink here every couple of weeks.

Thorn is a nice hidden gem on bird road. The drinks here are always good. This time I had the spicy margarita and it was refreshing. To eat, I had the oysters, which were fresh, and the sriracha truffle wings. The wings were okay. They could have been cooked better and you couldn’t really taste the truffle. The happy hour menu is decent. The ambiance is relaxing and the staff is nice. Now they validate parking which is a plus. Cry baby is no longer there but Thorn has deserts of its own. I would return here for happy hour.
Holy happy hour! (Which takes place from 3:30-7.) This cute bar is situated among what looks like residential buildings. It is pay for parking, but if you are dining with the restaurant they validate. So, it turns out free. The establishment itself reminds me of an upscale dive bar (if such a thing exists). There's plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. All the staff we encountered were very accommodating. We started with beer (the draft were all locals) and they were bogo. And we were pleasantly surprised when we could mix and match them. Then we ordered their apps from the Happy Hour menu, all fairly priced with good portions and flavor. We ordered the burger, a pizza, and wings. Between the 3 of us we were all able to eat well and still had leftovers. The real stars of the show here, were the cocktails and the vibe. As the drinks flowed the DJ played great music and a wide variety, which made for a really fun Friday night out.

It's attached to an apartment complex, which made it feel more like a resident amenity than a standalone business. A lot of the apartment's children running around. Wasn't really the vibe I wanted while I drank. I think this place is also an ice cream shop?
Great spot with a small but varied drink selection and excellent food. Servers are also very friendly and they offer an outside seating area as well.
Great food. Great service. Natty burger was fresh and flavorful. For an extra kicker ask for a side of the garlic aoli sauce. Meatballs are probably the best in Miami. Don't forget to validate your parking!
The food was seriously delicious. We had a very pleasant time. The habanero cocktail was undrinkable without diluting it a bit with some water. It also might make sense for Thorn to invest in a solution for their fly problem outside. Other than that service was lovely. Sadly though, I got a $55 parking ticket… 😅
Amazing. Have even met the owner, sitting next to me. Falco is amazing, and all his staff as the same vibe
The atmosphere is lovely, they really nailed the lighting and ambiance. We had high hopes for the food and drinks. We left satisfied, but a little disappointed. The wagyu meatballs were a bit dry, but the sauce was delightful. The burrata salad caught us off guard. It’s a deconstructed salad. We wished it had more cucumbers and smaller croutons. Made it a bit weird to share. My partner suggested instead of plating it as they did, they should have served little pre-stacked bites. Or maybe used plantain chips. Our table enjoyed the Banh Mi pizza a lot! I felt like it needed more sauce though. The Bulgogi fries were my favorite! Only feedback is more meat would have been appreciated. Sooo yummy. The wings skin and sauce were delicious and full of flavor. The inside lacked flavor though. As for the cocktails, they were solid! This would be a perfect date night spot to enjoy some drinks and share a plate or two. They also have Cry Baby ice cream in the restaurant, which was a highlight for me! Overall, the food, drinks, and atmosphere were good. A couple small improvements would take this place to 5 stars.
Maybe I’m just TOO OLD for this environment (look at my attached photo). The “smashed burgers” …are NOT real “smashed burgers”, you can tell they were cheap, processed “meat” patties. The wings, event though I did want them well done—they went to an extreme. It was like eating “hard crackers”. The BEER 🍺 was Cold, so that’s a “+”. Fries were “meh”. Come try and judge for yourself, it’s not worth it for me to come back. I wish them well and LOTS of SUCCESS with their type of crowd. Music was just wayyy TOO LOUD for Me. To the point that it hurt my ears. Again, maybe I’m just TOO OLD for this environment (look at my attached photo).
Thron is a really cool place. Service was fantastic and food and drinks came out very fast. The food selection is good, it offers wings, pizza and burgers. The had the Thron burger and it was really good and cooked to perfection. I would suggest that music needs to definitely be played at a lower volume. The day I went there was a DJ playing and I couldn’t talk at all. It was so loud that my Apple Watch was going off withe noise alerts, and I was screaming to talk to my friend. We ended up asking to move to an outdoor table.
Food was good but overpriced and a limited selection. The servers were good but they’re understaffed. The bartender was only ok for customer service. Spent a lot of time chatting. The view is great.
LOVED the overall vibe and design here! The drink menu is fun and different, and the food is also well thought out, and although not gourmet lol, better than average, & more creative for "bar food". Both are good values. Had the Margherita Pizza and Natty Jack Burger, and very tasty craft cocktails Sunset Dreams & They Call Her Lola! As a Wedding and Event DJ in Miami, and having worked at many high volume bars & clubs, I especially know good service, and here it was indifferent. They were kinda nice, but didn't check in with me at all like ask typical questions like "you need anything, how is everything tasting, need another round" etc. This is an area they can definitely improve on. I would've rated it 5 if this and the parking was better. You have to be careful with the parking around here. IF you park in the garage, your parking is NOT validated, and you pay by app, but have to be on top of how much time you have left. We actually got a $55 parking ticket by missing the meter time by 15 minutes. Seems to me the meter person is watching like a hawk. Was here to catch the cool live band @tremora. Nice lookin, cool crowd! I loved 😍 the overall experience with the exception of the service & parking, and would recommend if you're careful about the parking and maybe you'll get better service. They validate your parking only in the adjacent lots, not the nearby garage. Get informed beforehand. There's also nice outdoor seating, which is more ideal for the non summer months. An added plus is that they're near other cool "brewery" and other entertainment venues, so you can easily do a pub crawl. If you come, hope your service is more attentive and you're careful about the parking.
The ambiance was great, the music was great, the outside seating id great to bring your dogs, but there were some issues with the service. My waitress seemed very preoccupied with everything else but her job. She was too busy socializing and being on her phone. I had another employee who was kind enough to check up on me. Make sure you get the parking validation prior to paying. Regarding the food: The chicken wings were great! The Bleu cheese was different, but in a good way, I can compare it to a seasoned Bleu cheese, but it's worth trying out. The meatballs: The marinara sauce was great, and so was bread. The meatballs gave me dog food vibes. They need work. The Douglas old fashioned was just ok. They need figure out how to better present that, it seemed very thrown together. (Made by the preoccupied waitress). I did try a specialty drink they had on the chalkboard ("she's so sweet") still had the bourbon I was looking for but this time better presentation. (Made by someone else). Over all, if you go with a group or even by yourself, you'll have an enjoyable time. Just hope you get a serve who's attentive.
The ambiance is gorgeous, the drinks divine and our server was attentive but the food was mediocre at best.

Been there for happy hours, took two cocktails with my wife, her very watery, my super spicy and the lime juice tasted off, waited more than 30min for half doz oysters and a plate of wings.
Pricey, ordering online is a nightmare, no menu. Ordered a medium rare burger and got black and blue. Would have taken another 30+ mins to fix order and had go back to work!! Might try again one day, but eat it there encase there hey my order wrong again. Not in my top 6 places to try!!
Food was really good! The service was bad sadly. Waited forever for a check at the end. Good atmosphere and solid food despite the bad service and lengthy wait at the end.
Good ambiance, music and food but it took about 50 minutes to get a cocktail. When we asked the waitress and hostess they said the bar was backed up and there was only one bartender. There were very clearly multiple people behind the bar and it was not busy.
Had the Bulogi Fries, and Maxwell Burger. Bulging Fries were good. No complaints. Maxwell burger was dry. Got it medium-rare but received well done. It's missing something though. It's just bread, butter, burger, fried-cheese, honey. It needed a sauce or something to get rid of the dryness. Maybe some onions, bacon, or just your standard lettuce and tomato. It was missing a "crunch". Maybe make the brisket burgers 1/4 lbs instead and make a combined 1/2 lb smash burger with a smaller fried cheese bites inside with honey. This way you don't get a dry honey taste on just one side of bread with that huge fried cheese that takes away from the flavor of the meat. Service wasn't great. Bartender tried to help but she was too busy. The wait staff came in around 330 and we got service. Took awhile to get an order in when we arrived at 3 PM. Which may also be my fault for coming early and not going to the bar first. The regulars seemed to know to hit the bar up for food as it was full and the tables were pretty empty 🤔 Maybe I came at the wrong time but all in all the food wasn't great. Could just be that burger specifically for me. I'll come back another day and try different items.
Seated at the bar and drinks were empty... one of the servers looked at us turned around and continued to prep the bar. Servers were very friendly but seemed to be more about socializing than serving. Can't speak about the food because we left after the first (only) drink. Oh and parking is an issue
After wanting to come for a long time, we finally made it. Left a lot to be desired. They were out of wings, croquettes and other items. Service can use help although all ladies we encountered were very polite. The place is in a cute cozy spot, but really doubt Ill be going back.
Parking is the worst . I was late to my parking 10 mins and got a 55$ ticket. Was literally checking out at the bar. Doesn't have to be that serious. But that's the "resident parking" but it's the parking lot directly next to the restaurant. Menu wasn't my favorite. The drinks are different. Server described it as big girl drinks. I'm 33 so not sure what she meant. Although I don't think she meant harm .
Stylish ambiance with some non conventional table seating options. Much needed upscale-ish restaurant for this area. I went on a Saturday night it was pretty busy but no issues with service. Menu is kind of all over the place from artisan pizza, wings, pasta, wagyu meatballs, brisket burgers, bulgogi fries, you name it. I had the Thorn brisket burger and fries, good solid burger with quality tasty bun and hot crispy fries. They had a selection of four local craft beers. I wasn’t a fan of their blonde ale, Morning Glory but their Belgian brew, Chet was amazing. I seen some pretty interesting looking cocktails being served. Overall I’d probably come back just to have some drinks and enjoy the ambience. Suggestions: serve beer in actual beer glasses especially for local craft beers. Ask customers how’d they like their burgers prepared.
Only had one waitress for service to all. During lunch hour. She was the waitress and bartender. The kitchen staff was seen sitting on the counter inside of the kitchen with their legs crossed, while eating lunch. Wouldn’t go again.
The server was pleasant and professional. However, the service was rather slow, in addition to the meals not being brought out at the same time. Even though the French toast is tasty, it is in the brunch menu as a $15 meal, when in reality it is not even enough for one person, and I don't eat very much. The order is one thick brioche toast. If it is a brunch meal item, it should come out with at least two toasts and perhaps one side of fruit or bacon. What we were served is a side of French toast.

My 2nd time here bcuz my husband liked the burger. I didn't like the fact that the menu was so limited but we came back out for a second try anyways. The service was slow despite the fact that it was 12 on a sunday and there were 8 customers. They open at 11:30. Our table of 6 was served 30 minutes before my son and i got our pizza. Everyone was done before we got our food. After an eye roll we are told that they only have 1 pizza oven. The pizza was dripping in fat and was mostly crust. Super expensive meal for a cheap experience. Finally. According to my mom, her steak was perfect for the dog, and she told the server. Sorry, she's 85 but not a fool.
The food was delicious. The parking was an utter nightmare. It was my first time visiting this restaurant- and I’m furious that I was charged a $55 dollar parking ticket because none of the staff bothered to mention that you need to validate parking BEFORE you sit down. It was confusing and unclear, and immediately soured any desire to return to this place. In that one lot; about 10 cars were ticketed. It’s a money trap and I advise any newcomers to be very careful where you park.
Been here twice and both times I had the same issue. Both times we were served by the same bartender (she’s the shortest one) Horrible attitude, as a bartender you should be making eye contact and smile for your customers and not look like you’re being forced to be there or looking like you’re hating life. It made the whole experience pretty sour to the point that it made our stay shorter than hoped. Aside from the horrible service from this bartender, drinks are good and food is ok. We also liked the DJ playing some old school tunes and was very accommodating to our requests. Better service from the staff and this place will be a hit
Honestly the vibes were fine but the absolute worst part of this place was how long it takes to make a drink. Like it does not take 40 minutes to make one cocktail, even if there are “30 tickets ahead”, efficiency is important and this place is just not that. The drink tasted good but for 40 minutes it is not worth it. Adriana was great though and she was very patient as well as efficient regardless of no management present.
My husband and I came to enjoy ourselves but the 2 young girls in front had no idea what they were doing. They rejected us and said they couldn’t sit us. I have learn in the service business to never reject customers to sit inside. I Will never go back there. This is what happen when you hire young people who has no idea how to give good customer service. If they had a 0 I would give 0. Do not go there.
This place is grunge and plays music so loud you can’t hear who youre sitting next to. My cocktail was delivered with lipstick marks on the rim of the glass, literally TWICE. They play over-played out-dated music that reminds you of how terrible middle school was and is so loud you can’t hear yourself think. Not enough seating. 10/10 would NOT recommend
I walked in to the bar for the first time and the sign said wait to be seated , I couldn't find a free seat at the bar , I returned to the hostess stand , the hostess looked at me disgusted , slammed the cabinet drawer closed she was looking through , and ran swiftly away .
Absolute hole parking ticket was even higher than their overpriced menu A thorn in anyone's side who's not a rich yuppie
I've been a loyal customer of Thorn's for quite some time and have spent a significant amount of money dining and enjoying drinks there. Last Sunday, I visited with my sister for a drink and an appetizer. There was a drag brunch event happening, which is not the issue - you do you. However, the problem arose when I needed to use the restroom. They had converted the men's and women's restrooms (which have multiple stalls) into a single unisex bathroom to accommodate the performers in the other restroom. Being a woman, I found it inappropriate that I had to use the stall next to a man, simply because their performers were given priority. These stalls are not the private, fully enclosed ones but have gaps at the bottom and gaps in the panels, typical of standard stalls. This setup raises obvious safety concerns. When I mentioned it to the manager, the answer was "okay" - literally, that's all she said to me. This decision made me feel that the comfort of their customers was secondary, even though it's the patrons who ultimately support these events. I was quite disappointed and I will likely not return.
We happened to be in the area, so decided to visit for the first time yesterday. It was a Wednesday afternoon between lunch and dinner, when the restaurant was mostly empty. The food was very good—fresh and flavorful, but the service was shockingly poor. • Our server dropped the food and never checked in until we were completely finished. • We had to get up ourselves to grab napkins, straws, and extra plates from the server station. • The most appalling was when I asked for lemon for my water, and the server brought two lemon slices in her bare hands and handed them directly to me—something I’ve never experienced in decades of dining out. • At the end, we asked for to-go boxes, and she dropped them off with no bag. With three boxes to carry, my husband actually had to go up to the bar himself to ask for a bag. Afterward I checked other reviews and saw we’re not alone—poor service seems to be a recurring theme here. That’s unfortunate, because the food deserves better. Until management addresses service standards and basic hygiene, we won’t be returning.
