A pleasant discovery! This tropical-themed restaurant features a pirate theme. The interior is truly meticulously designed and charming. There's a separate children's play area. The food is excellent, with a focus on seafood, and very tasty! The service is friendly and helpful. (The restaurant is located inside the Merlata Bloom shopping center - with on-site parking. The restaurant is a bit hidden.) PS: My salmon fillet was truly delicious! We'll be back soon. Thank you ♡
A truly positive experience. Excellent food, well-prepared, and with absolutely fair prices for the quality offered. The atmosphere is one of the strong points: a very unique and successful Caribbean theme. The bathrooms are clean, a detail that's not a given and always appreciated. The service is friendly and informal, with young but knowledgeable and attentive staff. The water is also a positive note (I'm not sure if it's free or just a small addition to the bill). I would definitely return.
A little difficult to get to, but definitely worth a try! Park inside Merlata Bloom as if you were going to Esselunga (west parking lot), then near McDonald's you have to go outside to enter the restaurant. Caribbean-style, with very clean bathrooms too. We ate Plantain fritters with tuna ceviche, plantain fritters with pulled beef, and lobster spaghetti, wine, and water for €23 each. I, who suffer from reflux, slept great!! There are a lot of children, but they stay in the play area, so it's a suitable place for parents too.
Caribbean experience at a shopping centre in Milan, Italy. Not a common find in Italy, but we enjoyed the food, especially the starters (tostones). We had a Halloween themed dinner with the family, so the play area was a great distraction. Service was consistently kind and aside from a misunderstanding, reliable. Reasonably priced cocktails - I particularly liked the Dark & Stormy - and spicy flavours set us up for a better than expected evening with kids and adults being equally satisfied. Overall this is probably more of a 4 to 4.5 then a 5, but we had a lovely evening and appreciate the effort to make this family friendly and provide a carribean option in the middle of Lombardy.
An impromptu dinner to sample Caribbean dishes, truly excellent! We ordered tostones (fried plantains, if I'm not mistaken) with guacamole as an appetizer, followed by Jambalaya and Cuban-style pulled beef. The Jambalaya looked good, even though it was full of shrimp and prawns; however, I think my dish was much better: from the coconut-flavored rice to the beans and the pulled beef with tostones...it had it all. The only "flaw" for me was the large number of children, but they had a dedicated area with slides and other challenging activities. This is definitely another plus. Another plus was the staff, who were very kind and helpful. Go there if you want to eat really well. Preferably with friends!
Fantastic experience! Pirates Bay is located inside the Merlata Bloom shopping center and is easily accessible by both the red metro line and the 35 bus. We showed up around 9:30 PM without a reservation, but despite the time, we were greeted with a smile: the staff was immediately friendly, helpful, and polite. One comment: a little more attention to the table would have been appreciated during the meal, but overall, the service was prompt and efficient. The atmosphere is very refined and pleasant: everything is Caribbean-themed, from the decorations to the warm lighting, with pleasant background music that contributes to the welcoming atmosphere. Perfect for a relaxed evening. We ordered a mixed fried fish appetizer, which was a bit small in portions but really good. I then had a fried shrimp and chips sandwich, while my fiancée chose a salmon dish with rice, peppers, and corn on the cob. Everything was delicious, both visually and in taste, clearly inspired by the flavors of the sea and the Caribbean. The quality/price ratio is very good, especially considering the unique menu and setting. All in all, I would recommend this place to anyone: whether it's a dinner with friends, a romantic evening, or even a tasty family break. A great find in the mall!
Visited on Monday, the service has been fantastic, the food very good. The chance to pay directly from the table, also splitting the bill between all the people is really awesome! The lady that served me has been really kind and professional!
Loved the place🤍 Best ambient i have seen in a

I'd already been to their restaurant in Olgiate, and after seeing good reviews on social media, I wanted to try the one inside the new Milan shopping center. The atmosphere is always very refined, but extremely small for this type of restaurant. The tables are too close together and take away some of the atmosphere. The children's area is really small. It's a shame because the food didn't disappoint. Excellent, and the staff was also great. Next time I'll probably return to the one in the province of Varese for the atmosphere, but if you can go on a day with fewer people, you'll truly enjoy the food.

Would I recommend it to a friend? Yes, but with some reservations. Unfortunately, I didn't know it was so popular with families with children. Nothing against children per se, but for the entire hour and a half we were there, several were running between tables, bumping into chairs and other diners; at one point, my phone even fell off the table. In short, a bit chaotic. We arrived at 8:45 PM and were initially seated at a table literally surrounded by running children. The problem, as often happens, wasn't the children, but the parents, who seemed to be paying no attention, as if they were at home. After moving just one table (the one immediately behind), the situation significantly improved: we were still close together, but with a little more peace and quiet. A little more preventive attention from the wait staff would have made a difference. Food: The tostones were good. The sandwich was good, but nothing exceptional. I wouldn't recommend the lobster rolls: they had very little toppings. The rice my companion ordered was the most popular dish, even if the single shrimp was a bit meager. Drinks: very good. Location: very nice, we liked it. Staff: if it weren't for the table they left for us and the attention they could have shown, I actually have a very good opinion of them; they were always present and kind. Tip: Make a reservation after 9:30 PM, when it's definitely less crowded (and fewer children). We'll be back to try other dishes and see if it can become one of our go-to restaurants at Merlata Bloom. PS: The entrance is outside the shopping center, on the ground floor, on the right near Signorvino.
I wouldn't have written this review if it weren't for the last sentence uttered by the person who handled the bill. Two adults and two children. We ordered four main courses and an appetizer. After about 40-45 minutes of waiting, all the dishes arrived, in no particular order, along with the appetizer. However, of the four main courses, only one was correct, while the other three were completely different from what we had ordered. Given the long wait, we decided not to reorder the two adults' main courses (both incorrect) and to "make do" by sharing the appetizer. During the meal, we were offered a coffee or dessert as an apology for the mix-up, a proposal we declined, having already decided to grab something quick elsewhere. When paying, the girl told us—and this is the sentence that particularly bothered me—that "to make up for the inconvenience, we've deducted some dishes from the bill." Upon checking the bill, however, I realized that in reality, nothing of the amount consumed had been deducted. After pointing this out, the response was a simple "Oh yes, that's true," without any real attention to the discomfort she'd experienced. The only positive note was the pleasant atmosphere and the dedicated space for children.
