Stopped by on a Sunday for breakfast and the place was busy. Waited for just 5 minutes to get a table and immediately our server was there. My wife ordered the Belgian waffle with scrambled eggs while I got the 50-50 which comes with 2 pieces bacon, 2 pieces of sausage and 3 eggs with toast. We noticed the servers here helps each other regardless of whose customer. We had 3 different servers helped us with coffee refills Overall, this place to me deserves a 5-star rating for excellence, great food and fast service. We would definitely come back again if we were in this area.

Old outside but golden inside 🎊 This place is amazing, the interior is nice and clean. The service is good, everyone is lively and friendly here. The food is excellent and nicely prepared, with all kinds of breakfast. The griddle is clean (unlike iHop that you can taste the mix of burnt foods in your mouth). The portion is reasonably big, a lady can share her dish with a kid. The price is good as well. They're definitely proud to serve good foods for you. I don't know why we even go to iHop when we have such a good place like Mil's Diner here 💘

Great service with a wide and reasonably priced menu. Parking can be spotty during peak hours but the square is large enough to find a spot somewhere. Bathrooms are clean, 2 located in the back. Lots of booth seating, some bar stools also available.

Looking for a laid-back breakfast spot with awesome service? This place is a gem! It's got a great location with plenty of parking, making it super convenient. You’ll find a mix of locals and the older crowd enjoying a relaxing start to their day. The food comes out fast and holds its own against the competition – nothing fancy, but it hits the spot. What really shines here is the fast, efficient, and super friendly service. The décor might need a refresh in the next few years, but don't let that stop you. Highly recommended for a chill breakfast experience!

I came here because it’s a very popular diner in Milpitas and one of my friends been here. So I decided to give it a go. I like how classical the restaurant is to give it an old-style American vibe. I think that it’s best to not modernize it so that those type of diners don’t die out. It was packed when I got here and seems that they serve good food here. The place seems to be quite small here. I like how we get to see servers get food from the cookers when we sit at the counter. I haven’t had French toast for a while and so I decided to order it. It is not too sweat and like how the butter floats. Even the taste is top notch. Eggs and sausages are decent, but that’s good though. Also, the service is fast knowing that they get the food done on time and that they know their customers since they don’t forget to bring the check. Looking forward to come here again!

First things first, the service is top-notch. The staff are so friendly and efficient, you might start to wonder if they have a secret stash of caffeine hidden in the kitchen. And let's talk about the food. I mean, who doesn't love a good breakfast? My personal favorite is the crab cake Benedict. I do have to admit that the hash browns were just okay. I mean, they weren't terrible or anything, but they didn't quite live up to the rest of the meal. But that's okay, because my girlfriend had the waffles and they were pretty dang good. And let's not forget about the pricing. It's more than fair for the amount of food you get, and I promise you won't be leaving hungry. Mel's Diner is a great spot for anyone who wants to experience an old-fashioned diner with amazing food and friendly service.

We went got a Sunday brunch around noon and there was a 26 minute waiting. We waited and got in. Loved the crab cake Benedict. It was very crispy and delicious. Hash browns were okay as I could taste the old oil thing. Blueberry pancakes were amazing except we forgot to mention don’t put the frosting but that’s our bad. Overall good experience and food was heavy. The staff was also very friendly and sweet. Would love to go there again!

Chicken and waffle was great. Chicken was a little under seasoned, but still cooked really well. My gal got the veggie omelette and home potatoes. Those were fantastic! Great service!

Tasty breakfast diner, everyrhing was delicious and plentiful. Gravy was ok, could of used more meats in it. Classic setting and polite staff. Ill be coming back for more. Update: about the 5th time and gets better everytime. Omletes are so filling and healthy.

Food: The portion and the flavor is out of expectedly good! We came after a long walk in the morning and very lucky to be on the wait list earlier. The honey glaze on the chicken is good but their waffle was just okay comparing to other savory breakfast options like omelette and 3-egg breakfast. Service: you need to put your name on the waitlist in person and wait there since it’s not online. The restaurant is busy but the staff is very helpful and check on you all the time if any needs. Ambiance: traditional American retro vibe. Good for a casual nice brunch on weekends!

We had seen Mil's diner many times in passing and decided it was time to try it. The food was just average if I was to compare to other breakfast establishments. I ordered the chicken fried steak and eggs with pancakes and although it wasn't bad, it wasn't great either. The prices are good, and the service is excellent which is why I still gave it a 4 star, but the food lacked and the coffee (which is very important) was not very good. Would I go here again? Probably not, its time to move in to the next.

Good diner place. We tried their four eggs low cal vegetarian omelette with country side potatoes and sourdough bread on the side. The omelette was great but mild in taste, potatoes were nice and crispy. We also ordered a bagel with cream cheese and they gave us butter on the side too, bagel was good in taste. If you order regular coffee, they will continue to refill. Also, they have plenty of menu options to choose from which is good, the staff is nice and friendly.

Friendly people; fun red booths and counter chairs. Generous portions, but the food itself was so-so, apart from the California benedict, which was great.

Rude staff. Spoke very rudely with our companion who was at the table having coffee and orange juice while we stepped out to the car for a quick minute to get something. The waitress overheard our companion tell us that she was asking us to leave because we were not at the table and she came up to our table with a confrontation attitude asking if we had a problem, I am guessing wanting a fight and instagram moment. We told her and the manger who also spoke with attitude that we were just going to pay for the juice and coffee, which we did and left. If this is how they treat paying customers who waited over 40 mins to get a table, they don’t deserve our business, ever!
