From the absolute second we stepped through the door, we were welcomed. I’ve been to a lot of restaurants, but the service here left me completely mind-blown. The staff didn't just take our order; they anticipated our needs, and moved with a level of genuine hospitality that you just don't see anymore. The food was the perfect partner to that world-class service. It is deeply authentic—the kind of meal where you can taste the tradition in every spice and the quality in every cut of meat. It’s rare to find a spot that nails the "vibe" and the "menu" simultaneously, but Mediterranean Kebab House is doing exactly that. If you want to feel truly taken care of while eating some of the best food of your life, look no further. 10/10.
The staff were friendly and welcoming from the start. They were able to get our group of 8 seated and catered to very rapidly, everything flowed smoothly if it were a well choreographed orchestral movement. And honestly the food was impeccable, they have some of the best Iskender I've had outside of Türkiye itself. Highly recommend them for the great food, kind staff, and clean environment.
It’s another Turkish based kebab restaurant. Simple atmosphere, many tables indoors. We came as a large party of 20 or so people and had assorted orders of most of everything on the menu It is street parking but corner of the restaurant are residential blocks where you can park Their lahmacun are great and quite filling. But their highlights are their chicken kebab Overall service was great although it would’ve been great to get the order packed up for us as there were a lot. Definitely worth going to and probably making a regular with your family and friends
This is maybe our twentieth time here. It is consistently good, always fresh, never had anything I didn’t like, clean and beautiful. The best customer service. The prices are also great. You get a lot for your money. Feels like you’re with family as soon as you walk in. Needless to say that we will come here many more times.
Talk to Charlie. Very accommodating and friendly. Food is always great and fresh. Reasonably priced. Great lamb chops. Excellent rice pudding, and appetizers Recently stopped including tip on bill. Good move. I drive 20 miles to eat there. Never find the food salty Dennis
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ If you want to experience the feeling of being in Turkey without leaving town, this is the place to be. From the moment you walk in, the warm, inviting ambience instantly transports you the décor, music, and hospitality all come together to create an atmosphere that feels authentic and welcoming. The food? Absolutely phenomenal. You must try the fried beef liver perfectly seasoned, crispy on the outside, and tender on the inside. Pair it with the appetizer sampler so you can enjoy all the dips; every single one bursts with flavor. The shepherd salad is incredibly fresh, and the lentil soup is rich, comforting, and perfectly spiced. For dinner, my go-to is the mixed platter with lamb and chicken juicy, tender, and grilled to perfection. But if you really want to go all out for an unforgettable evening, order the family platter. The kebabs are cooked in a clay pot with fresh bread sealing in all the flavor when they bring it to your table and open it, the aroma alone is worth the trip. This is more than just a meal it’s an experience you’ll want to relive again and again.
Mediterranean Kebab House was a lovely and welcoming stop, even though we came in a bit rushed and couldn’t stay long. The salmon was grilled just right, tender and flavorful, and the salad was fresh, crunchy, and balanced. Everything tasted clean and healthy without sacrificing flavor. The staff was kind and the atmosphere relaxed. I’d definitely come back next time for a slower meal and to try more dishes.
From the moment you walk in, you are greeted. It's beautiful inside. The food is delicious and fresh. Had the beef liver amazing, tender and well cooked. Mixed grill and lamb chops cooked to perfection. The custard topped with cinnamon was amazing!!! Suat was super helpful in describing each dish.
I recently had the pleasure of dining at this amazing restaurant, and it was truly an exceptional experience. The food is absolutely authentic and full of flavor. The kababs were perfectly cooked—juicy, tender, and seasoned to perfection. The staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive, ensuring that every aspect of our dining experience was enjoyable. Their warmth and hospitality added a personal touch that made us feel right at home. Overall, if you’re craving authentic Turkish cuisine and a delightful dining experience, this place is an absolute must-visit. Highly recommended!
This a hidden local gem. Not a ton of reviews when compared to nearby restaurants, but the food is incredible. If you’re ever in the mood for some good Mediterranean/Moroccan food, this place will not disappoint. The bread and olive oil they place on each table is incredible. You can taste just how fresh the olive oil is from one bite. Their wine selection is extremely simple; either red or white. But it pairs very well with their food. Finally, the prices are very reasonable. Just go and try it out yourself!
First, let's talk about the authenticity of this Mediterranean cuisine - chefs kiss! Even from the moment I walked in - the decor brought me to a whole other world! The service was more than amicable and attentive; it felt like family. Only thing I'm really sad about is that we were SO stuffed (and all took doggy bags home) that we didn't have room for dessert! 😫 I kept saying, "we have to save room for baklava!" Only gives me an excuse to go back soon 😁 They did however give us complimentary watermelon. Overall, we had such an amazing time; 8 of us. We had a blast, amazing food and good wine. Thank you so much Mediterranean Kebab House, see you soon!
We recently visited Mediterranean Kabab House for a special occasion, celebrating my sons' birthday. We ordered the usual staples and were pleasantly satisfied with the flavors and presentation. The staff was attentive, warm, and genuinely hospitable, adding to the celebratory atmosphere. However, one point of dissatisfaction was the automatic 18 percent service charge. While we appreciate good service, we believe such charges should be suggested rather than imposed, allowing guests the choice to tip based on their experience.
I’ve been to Mediterranean Kebab House in Westbury twice now, and it’s quickly becoming a favorite. On my first visit, I tried their lunch specials — the Adana Kebab Sandwich and the Grilled Kofte Sandwich (meatballs). Both were excellent — juicy, flavorful, and grilled to perfection. The bread was fresh and the spices really stood out without overpowering the meat. It's a solid spot for authentic Turkish flavors, especially if you’re in the mood for a satisfying lunch. Looking forward to going back and trying more of the menu.
Very cozy & comfortable Turkish restaurant in Westbury. Good food, good service, & amazing baked breads. 👍👍 Really enjoyed our evening here and glad we made the trip. Just the Balon bread baked to order was worth it. The Balon bread was impressively big and still hot to the touch. Just WONDERFUL 🙌🙌 The bottled beer was okay. Venue is Very warm & inviting. Easy to sit here and have good long conversations. 🙏🏻
Yesterday we visited this kebab restaurant again. We have been here before and the service used to be very good. However, this time the experience was completely different. The food was excellent, as always, but the service was very poor and rude. The way we were treated felt unwelcoming and disappointing. We’re not sure if there has been a change in management or staff, but the quality of the service has clearly declined. This needs to change. Great food alone is not enough—good customer service matters just as much.
My boyfriend and I (both African-American) were actively discriminated against at this restaurant. Upon walking inside, we were completely ignored for about five minutes. The staff/waiters treated us as though we were invisible despite looking in our direction multiple times as we were standing right in front of the entrance. However, almost instantaneously, another couple was immediately greeted when they entered the restaurant. The couple even said to the waiter multiple times (referencing us), "they were here before us...they were here before us." The waiter completely ignored this statement, didn't even acknowledge our existence, and then asked the other gentleman if we were together while telling HIM that it would be a 30 minute wait. Inexcusable. My boyfriend and I left right after that as we were completely disgusted. My boyfriend used to order food from here but will be actively boycotting them. They've lost a customer. Beware of this disrespectful place.
