Good option in the mall food court. Kids meals are a great value - burger is simple and well seasoned, fries have always been crispy. Takes a bit to come out but assume that’s because they cook to order - always come out great. Other options in the food court are nice too - Sarku, Chipotle, etc.
I love me a good burger and boy did this place deliver! My gosh the burger was on point! The patty was full of flavour and a little crispy. The buns were spongey and soaking with saucy goodness. Even the veggies stood out which is p rare for a fast food burger join ngl. Also being located in the mall it’s great for a quick meal or way to full up if your group is on a shopping binge and ya need a break. Highly recommend this spot! Also staff is polite and helpful. Def prefer this over other fast food or fast casual options.
With burgers at all of these other restaurants over $15, getting a smash burger and fries for under $10 that is this good is the best. It’s in the food court of the Mission Viejo mall. Quick and convenient on a shopping trip to the shops. And it’s fast service.
Outstanding burgers and great service. Lucia was a great help during our first visit. She got us hooked up on the rewards app and helped us make a great choice on food. Tadder Tots where awesome, beef was fresh and perfectly seasoned. We will be back.
Smash Burgers are the definition of mediocrity. There is nothing wrong with being average either, lots of places are average because most people can’t afford 5 star dining for everything. I think smash brothers mediocrity should be celebrated instead of bashed. They make decent burgers at a decent price, so as long as you know that’s what you should be expecting here I really don’t think theres any reason for all of the negative reviews.

Great menu with many different signature burgers! The first time I came to smash burger I was very excited to try out the Avocado bacon club burger. I was very impressed by the food here along with the drinks & shakes they had! This is a nice place to go during the day when you want to hang out with family, friends or even with yourself ! I recommend this place highly !
My sister and I were at the food court at The Shoppes at Mission Viejo and spotted Smashburger! We were so excited as we Love Smashburger! I had a regular smashburger and she had the smashturkey burger. We chose the organic lemonade for our beverage. Our lunch was delicious.
SmashBurger goes above and beyond with the quality of their food! Everything is so freshly made and definitely have the best fries! I go every Sunday with my son after the swap meet and we never get tired of the food.😋 I recommend this place and the workers are always welcoming!

SmashBurger is the best burger place I have ever been to. The balance between the meat and condiments is perfect. Their fries are the best! The service and workers are amazing, they are so friendly and understanding!

The Chicken sandwich Colorado style tasted very good. Perfectly cooked. Generous amount of jalapeños. The haystack onions were good as well. The other only issue was that the bun was dry and cracked apart as I was eating

The food here at the Mission Viejo location is very good in my opinion. The chain uses quality ingredients and they prepare the food carefully. I would have given them 5 stars if they had been a little more generous with the frys. I've eaten here a few times and always feel like they should give you a just a little more frys for the money. I like the "Smash Frys" with rosemary and garlic. This location is in a food court and so it is often busy and a bit noisy other than that it's not a bad atmosphere. They keep it clean and tidy. Overall I like it enough to go back to this location. There was another location I liked better in Aliso Viejo but it closed.

The atmosphere loses 2 stars for being in a food court which is not a great dining experience.

Good food. Unfortunately they seem to be bent on driving themselves out of business. Can't even add stuff to a kids burger? Even if you pay? No substitutions on anything? I get that costs are high in CA, but if I'm willing to pay for things then I'm predicting failure. Sad, as I hate seeing small owners fail.
I went to get takeout and when I got home saw hair in my food. I feel like if you're paying $15 just for a burger alone and nothing else this shouldn't happen. Ended up throwing this away and don't feel like driving all the way back to get this fixed. I hate leaving bad reviews but feel like the staff should be a lot more careful to prevent this from happening.

The food tastes good. That’s if your Oder is right and not missing most of its contents! Each time I order from the Mission Viejo store, I only receive half of the fries or haystack onions. Watch your orders people. Not to mention the price of delivery. This fee that fee. We only want our food and to stay safe.

Obviously the food was good it’s smash burgers and has sustained itself in a mall but geez louise was the service terrible both of the girls working the counter were just rude and obviously lazy and then they proceeded to take 23 minutes to make 2 burgers i also watched them make several to go orders while no one was there to pick it up and i had stood there the whole 23 minutes waiting for the food also they forgot the shake i ordered. anyways foods good just needs new employees at least the ones workin 5pm on saturdays
