Avis sur Terra Sushi Mission Viejo
Good service and good food. Got the teriyaki beef bento box with assorted sushi. Very good beef and very good sushi. The miso soup tasted great as did the salad. Gyzoas were a good appetizer starter. A little pricey but worth the cost. Clean restaurant. Google maps will take you onto the wrong street so make sure you enter via the shopping plaza.
Let’s start with excellent service and a clean welcoming environment. Appetizers/ karaage with their sweet and spicy sauce is legit! Sushi: Golden Terra roll is phenomenal, Katsu dinner is great.. look out for Tuesday hand roll specials ($2.50) and salmon Wednesday specials. Take out looks pretty too (see pic)
I love Terra sushi! Their sake selection is fantastic and reasonably priced for sake from Japan. The sushi (nigiri) is my favorite part and all of it is fresh and flavorful. The rice is always fresh and the fish is always fresh. The cut rolls are good too, not anything super special but still delicious and worth trying. I recommend the Caterpillar roll because the fish is fantastic!
Great sushi with an almost overwhelming amount of selection with all the rolls on their menu. Was able to get seated right away on a Saturday night. Service was fast and our order came out promptly. I love to sample teriyaki chicken at every restaurant, this one wasn’t great since it was pan cooked with some watery sauce drizzled over it. Would stick to sushi rolls!
I am new to the area and found this small place on Google map. I brought my wife and daughter on Saturday for dinner. We ordered an assorted tempura, Crunchy Salmon, Firecracker, and Imperial roll. And of course a bottle of beer. We decided keepnthe menu for later to order some more. Tempura and Imperial roll were good. Crunchy salmon was great, and Firecracker had a kick to it, nice and chewy. We thought we were going to order a few more but we were all full. Good portion and my wife and daughter were happy. On my book if my wife is satisfied, it deserves 5 star!
All I can say is Wow. Everything had flavor. I have been to many different places to eat Sushi. However, the sushi, Miso soup, and salad were all delicious and much better than all the other places I have been. I am from Temecula California and will miss this place. But, if I happened to be in the area, I will definitely stop in.
Love this lil place. Service is amazing and love the waitresses -they are always so friendly and welcoming! I really appreciate and am grateful they have a gluten free menu! It’s limited and wish they had more options but it’s so great because I don’t need to worry about getting sick from gluten! Not many sushi places have gluten free menus!
I typically don’t write reviews but I had to give a shout out to the chef at Terra today. We come here often as the sushi is great and the service is always fast and friendly. Kathy welcomes you with hugs like you’re family, but today was beyond. We wanted to watch the Dodger game and asked if they could change the channel. They unfortunately didn’t have the channel so we thanked them anyway and kept eating. The chef pulled up the game on his personal phone and came across the dining room and left his phone with us so we could watch the game. All he asked for was the occasional score, inning, and asked how Ohtani was pitching. It really was the sweetest gesture but not surprising as everyone here is so super friendly.
Nice spot! It’s pretty spacious so there’s a lot of seating. I do like how the booths are separated by a barrier so it’s more private. There is a call button to get the waiters attention and we tried to use it but I’m not sure if it worked lol. There are so many sushi options and other appetizers and such too. The spicy garlic edamame was really good!!! 🫛 The presentation of the sashimi was very pretty and elegant! I haven’t seen that before! 🍣 The crazy boy rolls were super delicious. I really enjoyed those! 🤤 Everything tasted really good. The classic spicy tuna rolls were fat and filling. Would definitely come back here! 👍
By far one of my favorite sushi restaurants ever. Kathy and Edna are amazing waitresses and provide excellent service. The food here is so fresh with good sized portions. A ton of specialty rolls that are all flavorful. This place is top notch
We had a fantastic experience at the restaurant! We arrived at 5:30 PM on a Friday and managed to get one of the last available tables, as it was quite busy. The food was incredibly fresh and delicious, all at reasonable prices. I highly recommend this place!
A nice place in a strip mall. Small intimate atmosphere, well lighted and nice touch was the call button to get service when you needed it. Staff was friendly and the place was clean. Staff was attentive. Food was very good but a bit on the pricey side. Bento boxes were nicely laid out and tasty. We had salmon teriyaki with assorted sushi and beef teriyaki with tempura. Tempura batter was thin and crispy, nicely done. Beef was good and salad greens were fresh. Salmon was cooked perfectly. We got a hand roll which was nice and an imperial roll which was good. Sushi was decent and above average but below excellent.
The sushi was fire! My girls and I ended up coming to this restaurant last minute and we are so happy we found it! Not only was the food great but the service was too and you can tell people love going there, it was a full house with lots of conversations happening around you which u appreciated, great ambiance for sure. I wish I could remember the name of the rolls but they were all delicious! We will be back for sure!
My wife and I went here on Tuesday to celebrate her birthday. We got two hand rolls, two specialty rolls, and moshi. Since it was Tuesday, they had a selection of hand rolls that were $3.50. They did not skimp on the spicy tuna in my hand roll, and it was very filling. Each roll tasted fresh, and it was inexpensive for how much food you receive. The staff was polite and attentive. We look forward to coming back again and trying more of their rolls.
Great place, positive vibe and energy. Unique selection with local favorites. I find this place to be very special and it seems there are great unusual rolls and items. Easy to read menus, the place gets busy so be patient with the staff, they move fast but there is a lot of business going on in there.
Visited this place during the weekday for dinner. It was super crowded and had a lively ambience. The food service is quick and the food is amazing. They also have sushi bar which you can sit on if you like to watch the chefs making sushi. They do not have a lot of vegetarian options. We ordered Tofu with rice, avocado sushi roll and mango lady sushi roll. The food was delicious. The waiter was not able to understand English and so had to run back a couple of times to make sure the request was correctly entered. Overall we had a great experience and will surely visit again.
Decided to try this place out on Friday night and it was packed! The vibe was relaxed and fun. The service was very attentive and friendly. Our food came within a reasonable time and the presentation was gorgeous. I think most of their rolls have a spiciness or little kick to them. We will defintely be coming back.

The Sushi is very yummy and filling. The Volcano roll was rich in taste and well prepared with the baked Salmon. The Rainbow Roll was fresh. They even got me a free dessert for my birthday :-)

Excellent quality. They don't skimp out on their sushi. Just look at my Dragon Roll! I got a whole eel fillet!! It was incredible. Their food is so fresh.
Terra has the best sushi that we've found within the area. We've been coming for years. My favorite is the Alaska Roll. They provide good portions for the price, with quality sushi. Edna always welcomes us like a long lost relative. Ensure to get their loyalty card for occasional savings.
At least once a week i order take out, ordering either the cucumber avocado or California cut roll. Staff is friendly and the food is perfect. I have not yet had the pleasure of dining in but it looks like a fun place to eat. Menu prices are about 10% higher than other sushi restaurants in the area, but their food meets or exceeds that premium. Location is perfect and parking is ample. I really can't think of any other pertinent details.
Great local sushi spot. Not fancy but excellent food. Some of the best sushi rolls I've ever had. Staff was friendly and attentive. Would definitely go back and would recommend.
I'm hesitant to say how much I love Terra Sushi, just because I don't want it to get any popular than it already is. But I also want to give them the props they deserve. We've been going here regularly for several years, it's the absolute best sushi around! Their fish is always fresh, LOTS of unique options, beautiful presentation and soooo delicious!
The freshest sashimi and the hamachi kama was to die for! Excellent staff, appreciated the music played. A bit small so noisy kids were a nuisance, otherwise no complaints. Been several times and will definitely be back

Great little sushi place. Staff is welcoming and friendly. Food is presented well, visually appealing, and tastes great! Lunch special is s great deal. I recommend sitting at the bar so you can watch them make it!
We visited this place on a Saturday early afternoon, and the place was almost empty, so we were able to place our order quickly and received our food in less than 10 minutes. The menu is extensive, which made it a bit challenging to decide what to order. So, we decided to stick with what we knew and ordered a combo and the rainbow sushi set. The food was delicious, and the portions were generous. In fact, we noticed that several other customers were taking leftovers to go. While the prices are on the higher side, we felt the quality and portion size made it worth it. Overall, a great experience, we’d definitely go back.
Rolls are good, fish was fresh, service was friendly. They've got a huge variety of rolls, many uniquely their own. Ordered the spider roll and the Iron monkey roll, both were great! Tempura was crunchy and fresh from the fryer. Great little local place for sushi.
Ventilation was bad in the restaurant. You smelled oil smoke in the air. After you left the restaurant, the oil smell was kept in your hair and clothes. We order sashimi of salmon and Uni which were served in a nice shape. The udon soup didn’t met expectations but like soil sauce soup. I like the baked mussels.
Very good food and service.. however limited hours of business opening as they close at 2:30 pm and the reopen again But the food was good and the Toro was so fresh besides they work on the dishes presentation Definitely worth to try

Do not go here if you're gluten-free. Their rice vinegar has wheat in it, so everything with rice has gluten. Most of the rolls have imitation crab in it (has gluten), but they don't allow you to substitute it with real crab meat. I could literally only eat one roll - the lollipop roll, or sashimi. For what it's worth their fish tastes fresh and the restaurant looks nice. There's a call button on the table for the server to come over, which is nice, but our water never got filled up or brought over until we pressed the button. Kinda seems like they rely on the button so much that common tasks like greeting and refilling water doesn't happen without it. My husband got the karaage. He said the crispy outside was nice, but the chicken was so tough to chew it might've been over cooked. Only reason this isn't 2 stars is because the one roll I could eat was pretty tasty with fresh fish and an edible flower.
Good food , Good service . Atmosphere is OK i guess I didn’t get enough food for the money. I ordered 4 cut rolls no drinks no side dishes with tip. It was 100 bucks ouch. just not worth going out anymore.
We brought our Japanese friends in to try this place and it was not a great experience. The tuna was a very bright red color indicating it was treated with carbon monoxide. In Japan, this practice has been banned due to inability to assess freshness. It is also a sign of low quality tuna. Also, most of the raw fish in rolls on their menu is spicy which means the fish is probably old. Our friends were not impressed and we will not be coming back to this restaurant.
Ordered through Uber Eats. I paid for priority delivery. They took over an hour to prepare and they charged me for cancelling the order and my kids went to bed hungry. They literally stole $81.
My husband got really sick and food poisoning all last night after we had two rolls from here. We were the couple for Jen Z. that sat at the bar last night at 7…imperial roll and love me tender roll. I’m sharing this so the restaurant can review food handling procedures, especially during busy periods.
