Lily was amazing and very attentive. Great customer service
Very nice clean atmosphere, not too pricy and the bartender Lily was fun, beautiful and nice . TVs to watch sports and great music . enjoyed celebrating our loved one’s birthday 10/10
The Food waa so good I highly recommend this place. I had the tacos de Birria, and camarones en crema. The waitress was very friendly and kept coming by our table to ask if we needed anything else. The price of the food was lower then what I expected since the quality was excellent.
Was passing through Modesto and stopped for food. Luckily, stopped in on CasaMaestros. Food was delicious and authentic. We had the Molcajete and Mojarra fritta along with the BBQ wings as an appetizer. Great flavor. Jose was welcoming and knowledgeable about the menu. The ambience was simultaneously bright and still tempered. Music was a little loud for 5pm but would been great after 8. The large table of home health nurses were all laughter while drinking colorful cocktails. FUN times.
Thank you, Lili!!!! Great food and awesome service!
Good food and drinks. I like how they had the music in line with the concert tonight. Lily did a great job for us
Great service and great drinks!!!
When you can celebrate your girl's birthday with great food and great service!!! Enjoyed Casa Maestros and Lily was really a whole vibe!
Highly recommend the tacos and fajitas. Staff was pretty quick and pretty awesome to talk to you as well specially the bar back. Their specialty drinks were pretty amazing never had before and I would actually go back To have those again pretty amazing. Keep up the good work fellas
Ordered burrito bowl with steak, super good. Meat was nice and tender. The service was great. Went on a sunday during the afternoon so service was very quick. Will definitely come back
Pricey but worth it. They've specials. Me and my friends split the fajitas. Lili was the bomb. The Giant Margarita was Amazing and strong
Lunch at Casa Maestros was delicious! I had the steak taco salad and my friend had the three Taco plate. Presentation was beautiful and the food was very tasty. Our server, Lily was awesome!
A friend came and visited from out of town and we decided to give this place a try for lunch. The drinks were delicious and the enchiladas were pretty good too! Our server Lily was super sweet and attentive. We will definitely be coming here again🙂
We - family of 4 - 2 adults and 2 kids went to Modesto to visit museums, check out the buildings and try local kitchen. After looking at different cafes landed in this one. We ordered food and then decided to check the reviews and found that the rating of this place is so low! I was a bit confused, but order was made and we decided to check what happens next... After ~10 minutes our order was ready and it was brought to us on clean and nice plates! Me and my wife shared a Molcajete and kids took burger and pancakes. Everything was fresh and delicious! And so far to my kinda european taste that was the best Mexican restaurant I visited in the US in the last 12 years! I really enjoyed the place, food and service and highly recommend it to everyone.
We enjoyed the food. My rib eye and shrimp was good! The servers didn't know what a Roy Rogers was lol. We kept having to explain to them it's Coke and grenadine. But they did make it and it was really good. The sodas though are served in really small cups. My spicy Margarita was really good. My husband loved his carne asada tacos. They were really busy and didn't bring my husband his Roy Rogers for about 10 to 15 minutes after he asked for more. and they dropped the ball on bringing me my second spicy margarita, after they had asked me if I wanted another one. But it was fine, I don't usually drink so it doesn't matter. Overall, my husband said that he would go back there. The music honestly was too loud for me. It kind of makes me feel overstimulated and anxious. They should definitely turn it down.
Rudy has exceptional customer service. My husband and I come here often for date nights and the atmosphere always reels us back. The tacos and drinks are so good! Definitely recommend this restaurant for your next date night or even girls night!
This place is Beautiful inside and the service by Faithy was awesome! She’s was very pleasant, keeping up with the service and the was always smiling and was checking on us constantly and also the food was amazing and had a nice big portion. Can’t wait to take hubby there next time and I hope I get the same waitress Faithy!!! I added the Chicken Fajitas photo of my large serving and was very sizzling.

We stopped by for a quick drink. The staff were very friendly, and the establishment is beautiful! The pink margarita is delicious!
Attractive, fresh, and pleasant environment. Great service, dish presentation.
Cannot believe we hadn't tried this wonderful restaurant earlier. Went after a Gallo Center show on a Sunday evening. Friendly greeting by a nice hostess and wonderful service throughout (there weren't many people there, so no idea what it's like when full). Atmosphere is fine--liked the contemporary interior design. Only negative for us were the lack of full booths (several half-booths but mostly tables) and the window was open so it was cold. The server was kind enough to close it for us. Lots of TVs for sports fans but music was not too loud; no problem having a conversation (again, no idea of loudness when crowded). Food was excellent and unique (wife had enchiladas and said they were among the best she's had; I had José's Quesadilla and that was great--both were not like every other Mexican place we've been to in town). Chips were too salty for us but they're free, so can't complain. Great location on the corner facing the Gallo Center, well-lit and lots of windows. Highly recommended--looking forward to eating there again!
Lily was super nice helped us out and recommended very good drink.
Very good service. Lili was amazing. Drinks and food were very good
Lily was so friendly and inviting! Greeting us and attending to us with a smile the whole time! 🙌🏻
Lilly was Awesome!!!! Made our girls day amazing
Lily was amazing. Thank you for a great Sunday afternoon
Been coming here for about a year and have always had the best experience from the food , drinks, and the friendly staff. Lily is one of the waitresses at this restaurant and she is super friendly and quick . I highly recommend coming here to check out the food and ambiance . At night they have a DJ.
The food was delicious and the service was amazing, our server Lily did a great job attending us. We ordered the mole and I would recommend 10/10. Great experience, would go again.
Food was mmmmm…. Good. LiLi are server was excellent, when you visit make sure you get a salad, that’s all I got to say..
Lili was the best bartender!!! We loved her!! She was very attentive and very friendly!! 5 stars!!!
Lili was super attentive. Drinks were great !! Had the pink Margarita and it was yummy.

Stopped in for a meal before attending a concert at the Gallo Center. Service was acceptable though not as attentive as it could have been. Towards the end of our meal we were concerned about setting the check in a timely manner to attend the concert, as the server was not to be found. Food came out in a decent amount of time. Plating was beautiful, colorful and plentiful. Flavor could have been more flavorful. As with many restaurants, music was on the loud side, almost too loud and uncomfortable.
I gave it a 4 because of the amazing drinks (I had a drink called Labios Compartidos), the overall vibe of the place, and the super nice waiters! I got some shrimp enchiladas, which were pretty good, but the rice needed some more flavor as well as the beans (in my opinion). Overall great experience!
Just had beer and salsa - the salsa was excellent! Friendly staff. New owners/management December 2022 so older reviews reflect the old owner.

Ate there on a Saturday night. Our table (reservation) wasn't ready and took 20 minutes of waiting until it was. It was very loud, more like a club than a restaurant: laser lights, smoke, and music. I did not expect that over dinner, particularly the volume. Service was very slow with frequent mistakes on our orders. The one saving grace - I didn't expect the food to be so good! Best mexican food I've had in Modesto in 1.5 years of living here, eating out 4-6 times per month. I'd try this place again for lunch, but not dinner.

Food was ok, service was good though. They overcharged us on happy hour drinks $12 instead of $8 waiting for response to that. Atmosphere was actually really nice, with some cool accents. Drinks were not the best, more of the cheap tequila mixed with mixers/fresh fruits and tajin, but they can get the job done...lol
This was my second visit to the restaurant. We chose it because it was across the street from the Gallo center. The food is delicious except our guacamole was intensely citrus flavored you could not even taste the avocado. The vibe is nice, but I will add the floors and table tops were very sticky. I have to say, though, the service was terrible. Besides our table of five, there were two other tables of customers and two people at the bar at 5 o’clock on a Thursday night. It took forever to get our drinks and they weren’t correct when they were brought to the table. Every time we asked for something even if it was silverware, it would take 15 to 20 minutes. No excuse, cause there was hardly any customers in the place. My friend had three margaritas and asked for salt on the rim every time and never got it. I had the Carne Asada and it was delicious. When wrapping up half of it to take home, I asked for extra flour tortillas. They wanted to charge me for them even though we had already spent $250 on the bill.If this restaurant could get their service up to par, it would be a great place. But I will not be back until that happens.
Food is tasty but service is severely lacking. Friendly waitress but incredibly slow and inefficient. Place was less than half full and it took 40 min for our full order to get to the table. Each plate arrived with a 5 minute difference and by the time the last one arrived the first one was already cold. Had to ask for silverware and a side of limes multiple times. Ended up getting them myself from the bar.

Go some place else. This place could be so much better. There were a total of 5 tables and they couldn't manage that with 3 employees. We ordered drinks that they attempted to over charge us for ($30 dollars for just a cheese quesadilla and "margarita" is ridiculous. There wasnt even beans and rice with it). Most of the time, the woman and man sat around on their phones while one of the employees did his best. Our waiter appeared to have no idea what he was doing and couldn't answer any questions, though he was nice/friendly. Our drinks were sent to another table and the female was basically having a whole conversation with the table about who ordered them. It took forever for us to get our food ( cheese quesadillas and tacos). My friends tacos came with rice and beans, which came out before her tacos AND THEY TRIED TO CHANGE HER FOR THEM separately. As others have said, the drinks are watered down. Pretty sure they didnt put alcohol in the margaritas and the michelada tasted like just tomato juice. Observing the other tables, they kept giving food to the wrong tables even when they were told "we didn't order that" they still tried to give food to them. After supposedly being "open" for a year and a half, they shouldn't be making these kinds of mistakes.
Unfortunately we can only give 2 stars. We love the environment. The staff was friendly. The first app was really good and I’d recommend getting it if you ever come here. It was the CasaMaestros Choriqueso. Amazing! We then ordered the Molcajete with Shrimp and Steak. The steak was so over cooked it resembled shoe leather more than it did steak. The shrimp was so tough from being over cooked. It was so disappointing. It very well may have been the worst meal I’ve had in a very long time. The drinks were very small and full of ice. It was over priced for what you get. Again, nice people, beautiful place, very stylish. I so wanted to love this place. I strongly recommend they get a better chef and make some changes! I don’t see the owner ever replies to these google reviews which is disappointing. It means they don’t really listen to feedback. Sad.
Drinks were well balanced and beautifully presented, but the service here is terrible. We were one of the only tables here and the server never came back to refill drinks and it took us coming to find her to get the bill. With many options for food and drinks in downtown I would definitely avoid here.

Waitress/ bartender was amazing ! Beautiful location…. The food made me sicker than a dog . Just had the chicken enchiladas…
I recently visited Casa Maestros Cocktail Bar, and it was an absolute disaster from start to finish. First off, the atmosphere was anything but inviting. The decor looked like it was straight out of a bargain basement sale, with mismatched furniture and tacky lighting. The music was obnoxiously loud, making it impossible to have a conversation without shouting. The service was painfully slow and indifferent. Our server took forever to take our order and even longer to bring our drinks. When the cocktails finally arrived, they were a complete letdown. They tasted like they were made by someone who had never even seen a cocktail recipe before. My mojito was mostly ice and had a weird, artificial aftertaste. My friend’s martini was watery and bland. To make matters worse, the place was filthy. The tables were sticky, and there were crumbs and spills all over the floor. The restrooms were equally disgusting, with overflowing trash bins and broken fixtures. Overall, Casa Maestros is a place I would never recommend to anyone. Save your time and money and go somewhere else where they actually care about their customers and know how to make a decent drink. This place is a complete joke.
Severely understaffed when we arrived. Didn’t even get waters, menus or anything for the first 45 minutes. There was no one in the restaurant when we arrived. An hour and tenth minutes later we still haven’t received food and asked for a check. The servers didn’t check on us or didn’t refill waters while we waited. Disappointed in the service and attentiveness of the staff.
Next time you plan an event here make sure you do a better job of organizing it! Also your guy bartender in the blue button up tonight needs an attitude adjustment. Horrible Valentine event!
I hardly ever write reviews but I was so disappointed that I had to share. I went to this restaurant recently and the experience was not good. First we had a reservation and they didn’t have a table for us. The host asked us if we wanted to sit at the bar. The only reason we said ok was because we had a movie to catch. The drinks were good but I ordered a super burrito wet style for dinner and when my plate arrived it was the wrong order. So one of the employees took the plate back to fix the problem. Then after 15 mins of waiting I never got my new plate. When i asked another employee he said the kitchen is backed up and it will be another 15-20 mins! How does that make any sense when the kitchen messed up my order?! I decided to cancel the order. I couldn’t wait another 15-20 mins on top of the 15 I already waited. Definitely not going back and I do not recommend them.
I understand this Is a new establishment but communication is key. My mother and I patiently waited at least 30 minutes for just water and our drinks. They weren’t super busy so we politely reminded them and they told us the bar was backed up. We patiently waited again and still was given no communication or acknowledgment about the situation. A family came more than 15+ minutes after we did and got water drinks and chips instantly. We got up and left and was given no apology or acknowledgment for the inconvenience. Most likely won’t be coming back, really really bad first impression.
Walked in sat down at the bar. There was approximately six people at the bar. Bartender seem more interested in socializing and serving. Never greeted me never asked me if I wanted to drink sat for 10 Then proceeded to watch him greet a couple that walked in the door and sat down at the bar he wiped the placemats in front of them gave them and use and asked them where they wanted for a drink. Never even acknowledge my presence won’t be back his loss not mine
Do not come here. Save yourself some time. My second time trying to get service here. No greeters at the door. Hardly any waiters/waitresses and 1 bartender trying their best to service the whole restaurant 🙄. Wow. How do they stay open for business??
The enchilada was hard and the quesadilla was very dry! Took a while to get seated as well as getting chips and salsa. If you want fast dining this is not the place -wouldn’t recommend.
