Molcajete was the best! The service was excellent, Marco did an amazing job at being attentive and is really nice, this guy deserves a raise 👏. Fajitas and burrito mojado was great 👍 👌 Visiting approximately a year later and the quality is consistent. Great establishment. I always come through every time I am in the area. Tastes great every time 😋.

I took my family there for breakfast. My family and I had a good time. They had just opened doors for that day and it was perfect. Not a lot of people inside the restaurant due to the time but it was quiet and their service was great. The staff is friendly and welcoming. I truly recommend this place.

Great food and good staff! Everyone was friendly and the food was excellent! Our wait staff was good but could have checked up on us more frequently. I ordered the Enchiladas Caseras; very unique plate with some good flavors. A little on the dry side for my taste but that's all preference. Looking forward to trying more dishes in the future!

There’s better Mexican food around the area, but this is a decent place. I preferred the green sauce over the red sauce.

Second time here. I went with the taco truck burrito. I failed to get a pic. It was good for and I would get it again. We also had the shrimp fajitas which I was told was good. If anything as lagging here it was just feeling like our waitress didn’t have time. She seemed rushed and forgetful. I think she was overwhelmed. That can happen in the food industry.

I got chicken taco salad and chips to go and it was a solid 5/10, average meal. The shell was a nice airy crispness and the shredded chicken was pretty average. The guacamole was fairly bitter but that might just be an expectation for takeout. The chips were pretty overcooked and old tasting, I've had better tortilla chips from the grocery store. Their other items look better to be honest but I can't rate it without trying it first. Update: 11/21/23 I got food again and am much much more pleased. I got the choose 2 combo of steak mini burrito, which is pure meat, a carnitas green enchilada, beans and rice. Between the two meats I prefer the steak although they are honestly both very good. Beans and rice are a bit worse than the average Mexican restaurant to be honest but not terrible. The chips are a bit better than last time but I've still had much better chips at your average taco truck. A good 4/5 but I'll round up

4.5 stars on service. And fair prices. Enjoyed the decor of the place. Good quality food like the original at Oakdale , with a way nicer locale. As always post wherever u end up.

the server is very nice and she let eat in peace at the same would check on us if we anything. We got the la parilla mocajete it has beef chicken and shrimp. The meat are good except for the steak it's hard to cut and chew. otherwise the food is good. We also had fried ice cream for dessert it's not bad it's ok.

I got my food to go. It was ice cold. I asked the girl at the pick up counter is there chips and salsa. She said yes. I asked before ordering and when I went to pick up. Nope! Got nothing. Very upsetting.

Food was great but the service was a bit downgrading, our server dulce wasn't even attending us properly, if it wasn't for the young man who noticed and started attending us properly my family of 6 and i were about to get up and leave . Love the atmosphere and great food but not really the first experience I was hoping for

Terrible service - Waited over an hour for our food. When we got our food it took about 15 minutes for all of our dinners to actually come out to the table. We also sat with our drinks empty for about 20 minutes before someone (not our waiter) came over to ask if we needed refills. Food was okay. Nothing to go crazy about, but not horrible. We did ask for a side of their Diablo sauce, but they brought us some weird spicy ketchup. Gross. Atmosphere sucked. We sat in the lounge area. We sat next to a table with people who were clearly drunk (they were falling asleep and unable to sit up straight) and the servers at La Parilla continued to serve them alcohol. Definitely not a good look, but hey.. money is money I guess. All of this to say, there are much better Mexican spots in Modesto. I would recommend finding those places before stepping foot in a La Parilla.

I come here a lot and the food is good but I recently noticed that they made the fried ice cream basically half the size and literally double the price. Definitely won't be ordering that ever again. I could also hear the servers talking crap about customers
