I would like to say for the first time ever going to outback. Our server by the name Adyla, was the best server ever!! 😊 she as great customer service as a waitress. My husband and I are definitely going back soon.
Was e where there 2 nights ago at about 730, and were sat in a timely manner and everything came out on time. Our daughter (toddler) had a meltdown and we thought we were going to have to leave but the manager (whose name escapes me) came over tells us it's ok he has a child around the same age and he keeps toys on had just for this purpose. He brings her a box of toys and just like that, meltdown averted. He didn't have to help but he went out of his way to make sure our experience was great. Outback he needs a raise.
The food was good, but the service was great...I really appreciate the servers there...very friendly n attentive.....
Coming into Outback we didn't know what to expect but out server Maisa was absolutely exceptional. Refilled our drinks at the perfect times and our steaks were done EXACTLY how we wanted them cooked and not to many places can achieve that . And for the managers Juan and Elliot asking about our experience made it all even better. We will definitely recommend to anyone wanting great experience and great food to come here to Outback in Modesto and we know we will be back again for sure!
Our waitress Marie took very good care of us. Very attentive and on top of everything!
Hispanic Julia killed it tonight! She had the best attitude and was super funny. She made sure all the orders were perfect and checked in to make sure we had everything we needed. I wish more restaurants had service as good as She provided. We will definitely be back! Also the food and drinks were great so props to the kitchen as well. Overall very nice dinner experience!
Great location. I went in during the Vetrans deal and they were very understaffed but it was amazing to see they all handled the stress so well. I sat at the bar and the bartender was running insane. The other waiters and waitresses appeared to be so understanding and willing to help. This is very unusual and was so nice to see. I see so often waiters and waitresses complain and have bad attitudes when the bartender falls behind, but this did not appear to be the case. I saw several jump in and help her. I witnessed the hostess clear spots and assist in bussing. I saw other waiters mixing drinks and waitresses getting their drinks. All were stressed obviously yet none pitched attitude. Unfortunately the only person I did not see was a manager. I hope the manager knows and knew what an amazing staff they have. I absolutely hope they were in the back helping there since they are the one that didn't schedule properly. Good job and THANK YOU!!
Excellent food today. Sometimes it's hit and miss, but the last couple of times we've been here, the food has been excellent. Nobody does a "bloomin" onion like Outback. The Coconut shrimp are amazing, and tonight I tried the Blooming Fried Chicken and was very happy with it. I will also say that my side dishes were also excellent tonight (rice pilaf and green beans). And our server was excellent. All around very good experience.
I've been going to Outback for years now. Not sure why I never remember to leave a review. They're food is always delicious! I love the free bread. Idc what anyone says, but I love Outback's bread & butter better than Texas Roadhouse's bread & butter. The chef cooks the steaks perfectly everytime. When they have the prime rib available it is absolutely delectable. 🧑🏻🍳💋 If you go to Outback you need to get the Bloomin' Onions - great appetizer. The atmosphere is nice. It isn't extremely loud like Texas Roadhouse. The customer service is always great. 5 out of 5 stars.
First time here, came to the bar was greeted with a very cheer ful warm smile , by Hailey. I sat at the bar and she guided me thru the drink menu and ended getting a very refreshing Paloma. David took over and was great kept service going and helped me with a “cherry” coke ! Made one for me to go ! Thank you I’ll definitely be back
Food was delicious. The complimentary bread and butter is so good. We ordered the bone in Rib-eye plate, Bloomin Fried Chicken plate and the Chicken on the barbie plate. All we extremely delicious and juicy. Definitely a a favorite go to spot. Service is hit and miss you have good waiters and some amazing ones. Environment is kid friendly and the kids fudge sundae is soooo good! If you haven't tried this place out you can't go wrong with any of these options.
The food was good, I feel like the sweet potato didn’t have too much flavor. The sirloin steak I ordered was perfect. I did not really care for the coconut shrimp. I would eat here again. 7/10
Had a great dinner here, we had the blooming onion and two items off the weekday 4pm-6pm menu where items are about $13, which is a few bucks saved off regular price. We had the 6oz sirloin +2 sides and the Cobb salad with grilled chicken and they were both made well and worth the sale price at the very least. The only thing I would say is be aware of just how small a 6oz piece of steak is

Our group had 7 people and our wait was 40 minutes. We were able to wait in our car and get a text when our table was ready. They were very busy. I had the salmon, it was cooked really well. Nice flavor. I got the veggies and sweet potato as sides. My husband got steak with mushrooms. The mushrooms had a nice flavor to them. The kids got sliders. I got the strawberry cucumber mocktail, it was delicious. Not too sweet and refreshing. Our server was Josh, he was really kind and helped me decide on which mocktail to get. The young lady who sat us down was sweet as well but I didn't get het name.
Service was ok but my $38 steak was half fat. There just isn't any good steak houses in Modesto. Wouldn't go back
Nice place to eat and very good food. The service was exquisite. It was noisy but it was full of patrons. Originally we were told we would have to wait a half an hour for a table, however we sat at the bar and we're waiting on there.
Service was great. My steak was a little bit over cooked for medium and the shrimp was heavily salted for my taste. Overall a decent experience of 4 stars.
We hadn't been to an Outback since moving to Modesto over a decade ago. All we remembered is how much we liked the Bloomin' Onion. It was good, but this time very greasy. Our entrees were all quite good and compared to some other places we've been to recently, the prices seemed reasonable. We got enough to eat that we took some home for a leftover lunch.
We came here for dinner tonight and as usual very pleased with the food. We have been here many times in the last 25 years. We had great service! My only complaint is that the restaurant is in need of a makeover. The booths are extremely uncomfortable!

Service great, food mid. The strawberry lemonade taste to be made with bad sink water. The blooming onion tatsted like it was fried in old oil. The mac-n-cheese was really good though!
Service the worst , we went this past weekend, and the waitress never came to us after like 15 minutes wait , the drinks take forever to arrive , and only one piece of breed for 5 people seriously? The wings were good the soup was great just a shame they came out same time with our entrees. My prime rib was good but not even warm. They took back then returned it extremely well done. To make it right they took off $5.00.
We always come to this location. Never had any issues until this evening 10/18/25 . We walked in at 5:00 pm and it was 5:27 and me and my family were still sitting there like idiots. Two other families walked in and they were served! Me and my husband kept looking at each other confused! We literally were ignored! For 27 mins nobody came to ask what we wanted to drink or eat! Also, when we were given the silverware we only got two instead of 5 ?? Management really needs to handle this because it’s NOT cool we wasted 25 mins on my husband's birthday and maybe even more trying to find management to let him know what had happened. DO BETTER OUTBACK! And maybe talk to your employees not to look so bitter.
