I really enjoyed the food it was prepared to go and I asked many questions at the order register and she answered all my questions throughly. Also I asked for the rice plate for my 1 1/2 year old son and to cut up the beef fine. We didn't wait long and when our food was being put on the to go to be packed the waiter caught my son's food and went back and chopped it up fine like I asked I was super appreciative. Thanks very much ☺️
The food came out fast and it was delicious! I ordered the shrimp spring rolls and large special combo pho. The three cooks in the back and three service in the front were all working hard and fast. They knew what they were doing and did it with intensity. Great experience, clean, and delicious food.
Very good! Loved the Pho and Egg Rolls. The broth was a little too hot for the first little bit but was able to let it cool down to a good eating temperature. Staff is very kind. Their Vietnamese Iced Coffee is delicious, too.
Get the Pho out! This is some of the best but I have ever had. I got the vegan pho and the broth is so flavorful. I also got an order of egg rolls and they were so tasty. If that wasn't enough I also got the Vietnamese Iced Coffee and I have to say chef's kiss. I will definitely be going here again!
In response to the review from “Travel Abroad”!!!!! Claiming that pubic hair is supposedly cooked into the chicken, no it is not! It’s lemongrass, which if they had called and asked, any of the staff could have cleared up the confusion for them. The food is always prepared with the utmost care and the service is top notch!! They are always willing to answer any questions and accommodate their customers.
Best pho in Modesto, hands down. Large portion size, clean restaurant, friendly staff (albeit new and a little busy), fair cost, great location, flavorful beef, and truly delicious, authentic pho that satisfies every craving. We've been waiting for months to try The Pho ever since we heard it was going in, and we hoped it was authentic. I've been on the hunt for a good, strong pho around here, and I can confirm that *this is it!* Hubs and I dined in on opening day and both got the #1 pho combination soup (for free as a promotion for their soft opening!). We waited over an hour in line outside, and it was worth it. The broth is perfectly flavored. The thin-sliced beef was pink when it was delivered to our table, which was a great sign of freshness (cooked just then by the heat of your broth instead of pre-cooked). It came with the traditional toppings on the side: Thai basil, bean sprouts, lime, jalapenos, and an herb we hadn't seen at other pho places that was pretty good. Hubs says the jalapenos are very good and quite strong (and he likes Thai spicy). For new pho fans: There were some larger pieces of cartilage in the soup (you can pick out if you aren't big on the texture). We tried to get Thai teas too, but they only had Vietnamese coffee available for the first day. Fine by us, just means we have to come back soon. ;) Looked like take-out was pretty organized as well. Thank you so much for a delicious lunch. We hope this place is around for a long time!!
**Amazing** Best Pho In Town!! Went in on their soft opening and was greeted by a long line to get inside. Waited about 30minutes and once inside we were sat and our orders were taken quickly. The Pho was absolutely amazing, everything tasted incredibly fresh!! Not to mention that when we went to pay they told us that the meal was free for the soft opening! Be patient when you go in as they are still training their staff and getting the restaurant on its feet!! Absolutely love this new addition to Modesto!! Can’t wait to go back!!
The dude who was working was very nice and respectful. The food was really good and there wasn’t a wait. 10/10 and there was trendy music playing.
This was my first time here and I could not be more glad that I decided to come here for a more casual Valentine's day. Not only did I order the #4 but also ordered a few apps and a "Hershey slush". Will be coming back soon and hope this place lasts a long time!
5/5 for fast service, and for a small town pho place, it is comparable to Houston's mid-tier Bellaire places, if a little more pricey (expected for CA). Large pho was enough for a road trip snack for two. No idea what other reviewers are saying about cleanliness or anything. Place looked spotless when we went after lunch (2PM or so), and as you can see in the photos, all utensils are individually wrapped.
Pho combination is superb, clean restaurant and customer service is excellent! I really like the location too, very clean. Would only eat here for pho when visiting town. I've been to other places and othe towns and their pho is one of the best tasting pho I've had. Definitely recommend this place!
I saw the advertisement on Facebook and then decided to give a try. My husband and I were instantly hooked on the food. The service, taste and presentation was the absolute best. We enjoyed the delicious food two days in a row and plan on visiting again soon.
I don't eat meat very much and definitely no seafood. I wasn't sure what to order, but our waiter was great. He listened to what I was interested in and made the perfect suggestion for me: Vegan Spring Rolls. I've had similar before but these ones were kicked up a notch - they had vegan ham in them which gave a slightly different yet great flavor to these spring rolls. I will definitely go here again!
Came to the soft opening. The pho itself is very well made, broth is flavorful and vermicelli is cooked just right. The small bowl's portion of generous, I was able to finish it all feeling satisfied yet not bloated. The atmosphere is nice, modern and clean decor. Since it was their soft opening, the service was a little chaotic. But the servers were nice and friendly regardless.
One of the best and top best pho soup. If you are from South East Asia you will definitely love it. It is super clean indoor and outside. Located at a shopping center. If I was to rate the restaurant from 1 to 10 I would rate it 10.

Not as good as I thought it was going to be (Pho) lacks flavor. Korean BBQ short rib plate was good. Chicken rice tasted like chicken was boiled and shredded no taste. Shrimp spring rolls tasted very fresh which was is good but their sauce needs improvement. I mean restaurant just barely opened up so I'm sure within time they will improve. Restaurant is very nice and clean with nice customer service.
This place has a 4.6 on Uber Eats not sure why the rating is low on google. I’ve been eating here for the last 5 years. We always get the chicken pho and fried egg rolls. This is the only pho place my daughter will eat at in Modesto 😅
We got 2 well fine flank pho. This was not well done. Besides the meat, the broth was delicious. 5/5. We got one small and one large pho. This if for take out, even though the container for the large was slightly bigger, both bowls had same amount of noodles and meat. Pretty good broth. And the spring rolls were also great
The pho broth here is definitely better than the one on Dale Rd. However, the place only has 2 employees working out front. There are a lot of tables and seating, but since they're understaffed, they don't have time to clean any of the tables. There were more than 5 tables that were not cleared. Also, why would you serve me or any other customers herbs that are wilted??
It's the perfect dish for a cold and rainy day. Love that the pho had plenty of flavor and extras. Nice dining area, nice staff. Reasonable pricing. A place I'd eat at again.

Total disappointment today compared to previous visits. WILL NOT BE BACK! Im not really "Pho" person, as it's just a giant bowl of hot soup. I have in the past order the "Vermicelli Bowl" with chicken here. I ordered today and asked for the chicken & not beef since I don't really eat red meat. Apparently that is no longer an option as I was told, "we don't have an option"? Was shown another dish with chicken.... I don't want a big thigh & leg on a bone... Then I said, I'll just get the Vietnamese Iced coffee and that would be all.... I should have just went to Starbucks and got a Venti drink. This drink was $7... NOT worth that much...
Food is okay definitely a hit or miss. Mostly a quiet spot each I’ve gone. Only real gripe I got is the noodles for the pho aren’t consistent each time I’ve come because they are either congealed or stiff/chewy as hell. Side note after 8:30pm they no longer do dine-in it is to-go only at least what I was told. It is what it is. Overall good meh

I've eaten here plenty of times with my family. My husband did a online order last night and i went to pick it up with my son. We ordered 2 shrimp pho and 2 beef phos. When i got home they were all beef. So i called right back and i told them they had messed up my order. The guy told me to hold on while he talks to the kitchen. Well when he said that he told the staff "do you remember the fat girl that came with the guy to pick up there online order", well she said there all beef. When he got back on the phone he said they can give me a discount on my next visit. I told him i heard his disrespectful comment and i wanted a full refund. This type of service is unacceptable. First they mess up my order then they insult me. So because of this i give them a 2
This location is cute but the food is not as good as the others. Dirty benches at the booths. Go to the oakdale road location is better
I came here today with my friend over the sushi place next door and I regretted my decision. The food was mid at best and pretty pricey I can look past that but the service was wack. We were the only customers in the place and not once did our server check on us or anything. I spilt my drink on accident she didn’t even bat an eye I cleaned it up as much as I could with their napkins. All she did after bringing our food she just stood there talking to the kitchen staff the whole time. Then when I went to pay she gave me attitude and didn’t offer me a box or anything. Awful service will not be returning take your money elsewhere it’s not worth it. Please hire service staff that actually want to do their job smh.
The place was empty and the pho was SO salty and dark. We both took a sip and immediately called over the server because we didn't feel comfortable eating it. It's nice they have vegan pho, but the option to add veggies would be nice, for people who don't want to eat a bunch of soy fake meat. The server was nice, understood our concern, and took care of the bill. We left and don't plan on going back.
Came in around 1pm, out of the entire restaurant there were two tables filled with customers, 80% of the tables in the restaurant were filthy with people’s food scraps left on the table, nobody was cleaning. The way they seated customers was having them take a table that didn’t have people’s food scraps on them. They definitely under staff and neglect the front of the house.
Bro. 14usd for a combination rice and this is all i get?? Nah dude... NOT OK. Havent even tried it yet. The Pho was great and plenty of food but the rice smh
The food was ok however, I didn't like how they leave the shell/tails on the shrimp and it's hard to get the meat out, they even leave the tail shell portion in the egg rolls (why? Just for decoration?). They don't use cabbage they use lettuce and carrot like a salad mix you'd get at the grocery store. The peanut sauce tasted weird and was bland and the fish sauce smelled like stinky feet and tasted like parmesan and rotten fish...idk...yucky. First time and probably last time going there.

I recently dined at The Pho Vietnamese restaurant and unfortunately, I cannot recommend it based on my experience. While the wait staff was great and provided excellent service, the food left a lot to be desired. The broth in the dishes was under-seasoned and watery, lacking the depth and complexity of flavors that are expected from Vietnamese cuisine. The spring roll wrappers were very dry and made the rolls difficult to eat. However, my biggest issue with the restaurant was the behavior of the chef. Throughout my meal, I could hear him yelling in the kitchen, which was not only disruptive but also showed a lack of professionalism. It's clear that he has a poor attitude and was treating the staff in a Indiscreet manner. This behavior is unacceptable and tarnishes the reputation of the restaurant. I also have to say that as someone who recently returned from a month in Vietnam, the poor quality of the food at this restaurant does a disservice to the culture and cuisine of Vietnam. The chef's attitude and lack of skill in the kitchen do not represent the richness and diversity of Vietnamese food. In summary, while the wait staff provided excellent service, the poor quality of the food and the chef's inappropriate behavior make it impossible for me to recommend this restaurant. I would urge the management to take immediate action and reprimand the chef for his unprofessional behavior and lack of culinary skill.
I gave this place a shot this is my first impression, I will change my review once I give it a second chance. I ordered the chicken pho and shrimp spring rolls. First, the chicken pho broth is definitely impacted with too much anise/cloves the entire soup flavor was that specific spice. It kills the soup. Second, the noodles would not separate. That tells me that the broth is not hot enough or the noodles are stored in too much of a cold area. Third, I’m almost sure I was eating dark meat chicken, not chicken breasts. Which totally gives it a huge difference in the soup. I wasn’t too happy about it. Overall, I gave this place a shot because I love eating at pho places. It’s definitely clean and decent in price but not the right flavor I’m looking for. Also they only offered small or large sizes, I need a medium size. The small is too small and a large is too much. Please consider something in between. The spring rolls were good but not cut into halves. I like to share my rolls with my family so that was annoying. Peanut sauce also tasted like a bottle sauce from the stores. Not authentic.
The food was decent I been to other local pho and got better food for the same price. Customer services was horrible I waited 20 minutes to try to get a refill and order more food but the servers rather talk to their friends who were visiting instead of them take their guests. They made my slush drink when I ask to be made at the end of my meal to them already made and liquified. They literally dropped off my food and never came back. My food was spicy so I wanted more water to cool down. My broth become cold waiting for more water. I spent $30. I mind as well went to McDonald’s for the same experience. If you want people to come back focus on customer service.
DO NOT order Pho or any hot item from any delivery service from this restaurant. They give scorching hot broth in a paper bowl. I got my door dash order and the broth ate thru the paper bowl and the broth was all in the bag. This is the first restaurant I’ve come across that serves broth in a paper bowl. This restaurant lacks common sense. Use styrofoam!
If you want to wait for an hour just for your take out that isn't even the whole order this is the place for you 👍
This place has really gone down. Went in on a Sunday and not busy at all. Only two tables were occupied. We took our seats and the gentleman started to clean tables for a good minute. He then proceeded to take phone orders and made sure to take the time to handle those well. At this point we still had not ordered any drinks. After about ten minutes our drinks were finally ordered along with appetizers as well. Five minutes later our appetizers started coming out, still no drinks. Two walk in customers came in and ordered food along with drinks. Their drinks were prepared right away along with their meals and were out in no more than ten minutes. 25 minutes since we have arrived and our drinks were still not out and our food order not yet placed. I understand if the place is busy we can wait although with an empty restaurant it really felt personal when the waiter was pushing us aside.
Usually I’ve liked this place when I have come with my husband but I recently came with my friend and the experience was not good. I got something that I normally get and my friend got it too because she’s never been. When we got our food the smell seemed off than normal and I’m not usually the type of person to say anything but since I’ve come often before I just asked if we could swap it out because it wasn’t smelling good like something had gone bad. But when I asked to swap it the waiter was very rude and literally went to our pho put his face to sniff it and was like no it’s fine but I explained to him I had been there before and that this time coming it smelled bad like something had gone bad. He was very argumentative and argued that since my friend and I weren’t Vietnamese we didn’t know what we were talking about, and refused to swap it out and he brought us to go containers but we didn’t even take it, we paid and left it and ate somewhere else. I wouldn’t have even been writing this review if the customer service was decent with this waiter, because I understand that sometimes you can just have a bad batch of food. but since he was very rude I definitely will not be coming back.
This use to be my favorite spot, came here when they 1st opened. The young kids that are servers were very inexperienced and terrible. BUT I only came when there was a young man I think his name was Jose/Jesus, he was the only 1 that payed attention. But this past Friday 5/16/25 as I was paying for my food after just sitting down with my family, the door to the kitchen was opened and I seen a lady scooping whit rice and putting it on a plate, the bowl fell out of her hand onto the dirty floor without skipping a beat she picked the bowl up and continue to scoop white rice out the pot and put it on a plate....Disgusting....I can only imagine all this time I ate there...OMG.....Never again...Oh and they over charge for their sides..
They never ever answer their phone and you get there and dont gwt served for order taken for 30 mins. They say they ha e vegan option yoi order their soap amd they dont tell you when yheir out of product. You cant mention their lack of service and product they act entitled to serve you poorly if at all!
We found what appears to be pubic hair cooked into the chicken. Definitely DO NOT RECOMMEND

I was really disappointed with the pho here. The broth lacked flavor and tasted watered down, nothing like the rich, aromatic pho I was expecting. The meat was tough and not fresh, and the portions felt small for the price. Service was slow and not very attentive, which made the experience even worse. Overall, I would not recommend this place if you’re looking for authentic, satisfying pho.
Ordered the well done Filet Mignon ONLY Pho and received a cold disgusting bowl of slop. My fiancé and I thought we would try it. Highly do not recommend. Save your money and time dealing with this crap. $40 later and now have to go buy a different dinner somewhere else. Freaking gross. Broth barely had flavor and I feel they threw all the gritty barely edible meats into this bowl of slop.
The quality of vegan pho has significantly gone down over the past couple years. They used to have vegan meatball, tofu, ham, and some other alternative; now, it's dwindled down to 3 pieces of raw tofu and two of the ham. My orders are always inconsistent, maybe the tofu is fried one day and the next raw, despite doordash instructions to fry. I don't blame the workers, I blame the head of kitchen. It is sloppy. But! This used to be vegan supreme and I will talk of the past with honor.
Patrons beware!!!!!! My family and I went to this restaurant and the service was horrible. They took a long time to take our orders when there were hardly any patrons in the restaurant. I did notice the menu stated there's a 18% gratuity added for parties of six or more, but I understood it as per tab not table "This automatic fee is for high end restaurants which this one is not. We split the bill where mine included four people including myself, and the other bill was for my brother in law which included 3 people and himself. Despite splitting checks we were both charged 18% gratuity on top on the tip we already left not knowing the 18% tip was automatically charged. When I questioned it, the staff just said its been our policy for three years." No effort to make it right. The food was not good, the service was even worse. On top of expecting to pay an 18 % additional tip that the service did not justify. There are plenty of other PHO restaurants in Modesto that treat customers better and serve better food.
This was my first time coming to this restaurant and my last. I ordered a large bowl of beef Pho and it was disgusting. The beef bled when I put in the broth and it didn't cook all the way. The broth tasted like blood and I couldn't even enjoy the meal. What a disappointment and waste of money. Two thumbs down for this restaurant
