The food was excellent! The staff were very friendly. Great place to have dinner outside on the patio. Will be returning without a doubt!
Awesome wine bar with wide selection. They provided light snacks with our beverage orders. Seemed like a locals hangout. We drank outside, which was upstairs near the church entrance.

We loved this simple wine bar, with its warm soul and delicious plates of local food. Thank you to our hostess who looked after us all evening. We came just for a drink and ended up cancelling our dinner elsewhere to stay in the welcoming environment of the Barolo Bar. Thank you for the generous apéritivo snacks, excellent Vitello Tonnato and linguine with meat sauce, just what we were craving. At the end, you introduced us to Amaro di Lange and we bought a bottle to bring home! Monteforte d’Alba is the most authentic village in the Barolo area, still with an old fashioned Italian way of life and not invaded by tourism. The Barolo Bar was a perfect example of this. Grazie!
Very friendly spot with accommodating service, an amazing wine list, and delicious food.
"bar" in Italy often translates to cafe or coffee shop -- but this place isn't that, it's a bar, serving wine, beer, and mixed drinks. The night we were there, there was live music, a folk musician singing songs in both Italian and English. Our Italian guide described the menu as "bar food," which if you think of a huge plate of burrata and proscutto as bar food, well you have better bars than I do around here. This place is a lot of fun, although there's a noise level to match the fun.
The owner was extremely pleasant and welcoming on our recent visit. It's places like this that make a trip memorable and enjoyable! Great wines and food (special thanks for having culatello di zibello).

Very welcoming staff. We ordered white and red Langhe wines, they were amazing. Some food is offered with each glass of wine. I strongly recommend !!

Very honest price-quality wise choices of wines and food.
My boyfriend and I had an amazing experience in the terrace of Barolo Bar. We went a wednesday in july and it turned out that there where live music that night. We had a portion of very delicious ravioli and charcuterie, and the band was amazing. The staff was also great, and a lot of people were dancing and having a blast!

On our trip to see the vineyards of Barolo and surroundings we were told to stop over at this beautiful mountain top town with the majestic view of the low lands and hills. This little bar with 2 separate buildings was one of the view places on this day. We stopped for a glass of wine and a small bite to eat. Service: 9/10 fast and efficient and with a smile. The waitress and the colleague from the downstairs bar worked effectively and quickly as a team. Food: simple menu and simple food, but with good solid flavours. Nothing fancy but tasty. Only the chicken salad was found to be boring and uninteresting in appearance and flavor. Wines; say no more. Very extensive menus of several pages so you have the whole day to enjoy. I believe the enoteca and the bar are one so wines can be purchased to take home. Overall a solid 8,4/10 for an afternoon lunch and wine. View is pretty reasonable from the terrace but not wow.

This address was recommended by our B&B. We found the wines good but food was very simple and pricey. Not a bad place but in our opinion, food could be improved.
A very good place that offers many options of wine. They have good options of starters as well. Good place to chill out. I recommend.
Great nebbiolo and roero arneis wine, best served at the table on the terrace above the bar. Watch out for heavy smokers, who can ruin the experience if down wind and the cheese selection is a bit international rather than local.

The food was delicious but the service horrible. We waited 1.5 hours to get the food which was NOT difficult to prepare (caprese salad, vitello tonato, bruschette and carpaccio). If the bar is not able to handle that amount of people they don’t have to open the terrace as well. Maybe we had bad luck but this review is a snapshot. I would not go again.
