We went for our anniversary. It was a surprise for me since I love history, and the restaurant is themed around the Middle Ages or medieval style. As soon as you enter, the windows are like stained glass, and there are coats of arms, chandeliers, swords, and even a full suit of armor. For lunch, they have set menus for 10 euros during the week and 15 euros on weekends. We ordered two half-menus of lamb (15 euros), which were incredibly flavorful, and we could watch them cook it since the oven was right in front of us. We also had cuttlefish as a first course (the price depends on the market and the size) and some appetizers. We were served house wine, dessert, and coffee, and they gave us two complimentary shots of Orujo Cream. We had a wonderful meal, and thanks to the excellent service from Antonio and Cristian, the waiters, we wanted for nothing. Highly recommended. We'll definitely be back ☺️☺️

We celebrated a birthday today, Sunday, and everyone was delighted. The different grilled meats they served were so good, I couldn't say which one was the best. A very complete set menu for €13. We'll definitely be back.

Tiempo de espera largo. La comida bastante buena. La decoración no deja indiferente a nadie. Estaba bastante lleno, y en comparación con los sitios de la zona, es un buen lugar para comer de menú del día. Nos hubiera gustado mucho compartirlo con nuestra compañera Marina, a la cual mandamos un beso covidfree. Damos de, de que la carne, era a la brasa.

Un lugar idílico, precioso, muy bien ambientado. La comida excelente de calidad muy sabrosa. Mucho tiempo de espera entre plato y plato. Un lugar amplio para celebraciones. Le doy un 4 sobre 5.

An exquisite spot in the Vinalopó region, after a hike and it started to rain. I was looking for a place to eat something warm and local. It was a great discovery for me, since I live in another nearby town. I'll be back with family and friends. Thank you.

A very pretty place set in a medieval hall with swords, shields, and lamps simulating those of the era... They have good grills and a weekend menu for €20 that, in our case, includes the best broth with meatballs we've ever tried. In the center, we ordered toasted bread with oil accompanied by garlic and tomato, which is spectacular as an appetizer. Regarding the grilled meats, I recommend the secret or the chicken, as they are more tender than the lamb. The only drawback is to order the meat with the sauce on the side because it comes out of the kitchen already covered in chimichurri, and some people might not like it. We'll definitely return.

Restaurant-brasserie easily accessible from the highway. It has a fairly good and affordable daily menu, as well as an à la carte menu. The staff is very friendly. The dining room is spacious and parking is easy. The Russian salad is delicious. The owner is very attentive to everything.

Good food, good service, medieval decor, all the usual courses for menu del dia for 10€. Very Spanish and very noisy. Open fire grill at the end of the room gives a unique atmosphere to the restaurant. Plenty of wide street parking. Best to reserve a table for the 2pm meal as it gets very busy.

We ate at this medieval-themed restaurant in Monforte del Cid. I ordered from the €10 set menu and this time I had two starters of beans, and a main course of rice with vegetables. Of the two dishes, the beans were quite decent; the main course, the rice with vegetables, was rather bland in my opinion. For dessert, we had pan de Calatrava (a type of bread pudding).

Service was a bit slow, but at 10 euros for a menu del dia including coffee. Not bad...have to say Maykas on the green is better, not as noisy either and the waiters are a lot more personable for the English.....

Sitio que ha bajado mucho en los últimos 3 años en general en todos los aspectos. En su día los almuerzos de plato combinado eran espectaculares y baratos. Ahora son bastante mejorables

La comida escasa hemos pedido menu y no es real. pues luego la mala información de la camarera el precio del menú nos lo han subido. yo no volveré más y no lo recomiendo

Nefasta experiencia en este lugar, llegamos para comer dos personas y el chico que nos atendió nos dijo que se podía pedir medio menú, el menú valía 20€ por persona por lo que decidimos pedir medio menú (1 menú completo) para dos personas. Pedimos un plato de arroz, uno de gazpacho+ 2 refrescos, nos cobraron 30€ por eso que son platos principales y ninguno de segundo. Ni postre, ni café ni nada, pésimo lugar para parar a comer. Nada recomendable (la comida son raciones pequeñas y no son nada sabrosas) Ambiente muy frío a pesar de tener 'chimenea', personal poco serio y servicio engañoso.

We won't be back. We went on a Sunday in early July and there was hardly anyone there. There were three of us: two adults and a teenager. We were immediately given a table with a tablecloth and paper napkins (an important detail, even if it doesn't seem so, considering the price/quality ratio). They didn't give us a paper menu: MISTAKE. The person serving us offered us several starters (patatas bravas, ham croquettes, boletus mushrooms, and shrimp, I think I remember. Also grilled shrimp, grilled cuttlefish and squid, and bread with tomato and aioli). We chose the patatas bravas, six ham croquettes, and bread with tomato and aioli. A pretty average appetizer. After a starter, we had rice with rabbit and snails, salpicón, and something else (we chose the rice with rabbit), and for the main course, we chose Iberian secret (quite dry that it felt like a ball). Then, desserts (ice cream, whisky cake, and another one), we had ice cream, a whisky cake, and a black coffee. And the drinks, of course. Well, considering that each menu SUPPOSEDLY costs €21 per person, the ENTIRE THING cost us a whopping €93 (€92.70). At no point did ANYONE tell us what was on the menu and what wasn't. Because, I repeat, it wasn't given to us on paper. We've lived our entire lives in coastal areas, and we've never been charged such a fortune, eating fish and seafood from the Bay of Santa Pola. We didn't eat anything special, as you can see in the photos. So we felt ripped off. And that's why we'll never return or recommend it; quite the opposite. Anyway, the way things are, you have to think that when new customers arrive at a place, you have to try to build loyalty. I'm not saying they'll give me anything for free, BUT it doesn't hurt to clearly explain what's on the menu and what's not, or at least have a menu available, even if it's a QR code.

Terrible service. The special Christmas menu is nothing more than a regular menu at an exorbitant price (€33 excluding drinks): The cheese wasn't Manchego, the ham was pre-packaged, the potatoes were frozen, the bread was frozen too (and served cold inside, barely defrosted), the soda was the cheapest brand... The service and attention to our table was nonexistent (we had to constantly ask for everything because they weren't paying attention to our table) and very slow: our reservation was for 2:30 pm (we were a party of six) and we didn't leave until 5:00 pm. And the bathrooms couldn't have been dirtier and more neglected. A huge disappointment and we certainly won't be back.

I didn't like it at all. We stopped for lunch on our way to Alicante. Upon entering, the decor is striking, and the "warm" table and counter are inviting. The portions were huge and looked good. We tried a chicken liver and onion sandwich. It wasn't bad, but it was nothing special. The other thing we ordered was a dish with lamb, potatoes, dried red peppers, and rabbit. A sort of hodgepodge recommended by the waiter. It's a shame that everything was cold and of poor quality. The staff was very curt and seemed unmotivated. One thing I really disliked and want to mention is this: I asked for water and they gave me a large bottle. I got up to go to the bathroom and asked them not to take it away. They ignored me, and when I returned, it was gone. I asked them to bring it back and accompanied the waiter. When we got to the kitchen door, without realizing I was watching, he took it from the trash and didn't even bother to clean the stains and crumbs. A real disgrace. Please, you need to pay more attention to certain details. At least the coffee was good.
