Called the night before to reserve a table for 10 people. They gladly took our reservation. Everyone was happy with food and service. Great place to celebrate a birthday lunch. Glad my son picked Rudy's. All the best Mexican food choices were on the menu.

Initially stopped by old Town Monrovia to have breakfast at Cafe de Olla but was very busy and glad we did otherwise we would not have found this GEM of a restaurant. We were promptly greeted and taken to a booth where our order was taken in no time at all. The service was amazing and the food was delicious! The 3 of us agreed that the food was prepared authentically by a experienced chef. Usually you find the food is good and the sides not so much but to our delight everything was as my daughter says, "scrumptious." We definitely left w a big smile on our faces and bellies content and will stop by again to try something new on their menu 😋 👍🏽

Rudy’s Mexican Food in the city of Monrovia serves great food and portion size. Got a combination plate of two beef enchiladas and a beef taco with rice and mashed refried beans, the food was good and got full. Met the owner of the restaurant Rudy, very nice welcoming man! I just visited this restaurant for the first time two days ago on Sunday by a friends suggestion, I plan on coming back to this place in the future.

My wife and I like coming here The food is always tasty The staff is friendly.

One of the truly old style Mexican restaurants left and I enjoy it every time I go. It's a little run down, and the floors are uneven, but the food is excellent. Not fancy, just delicious and that will get me in the door every time. Thank you, Rudy's, for sticking around all these years!

Get the green hot sauce if you get a burrito. Beware it's a butt burner though. Also don't forget to checkout the specials right when you walk in. Fun fact difference between a Flouta and Tacquito is that a flouta is made with wheat flour tortilla while a Tacquito is from corn. So Google says at least haha. Not the Best Mexican food I've had though. Oscars in Monrovia is good too. Wish they had a bigger drink selection though. Only has a Margarita

my friend and I came to this restaurant and were seated quite fast. we were given our drinks and both ordered Are meals without an appetizer. My friend had a bloody Mary and said it was pretty good. The chips were good but the salsa was kind of running very chunky. Also the tables don't give a lot of room for bigger people So that was a little uncomfortable. The restaurant is clean and wheelchair accessible. I did enjoy my meal I had shrimp and it was very well done.

Eating here today thought this place was great only to be disappointed. Lazy waiters,poor to no lighting and staff that dont listen. Food was poor with no flavor. Do not suggest this place to anyone. Even saw the waiter clean the tables then refill someone's glass while touching there straw. SALLY thanks for no help!!!

Great food! Bad customer service from Jesus (jesse)! No acknowledgment on my wife's birthday! Even though she was wearing a birthday sash and crown! Never again will be eating there! I guess you have to be different ethnicity to be treated right! by Jesus! Your own kind treats you the worse!

Not really sure what is the best dish. Definitely not the chicken tacos. I got 2 soft tacos for $16 ridiculous price. The chicken was terrible, I picked up the taco and it fell apart. Worst money spent. How do you make a wet soggy taco and the chicken is dry. Ridiculous never coming here again. Not worth a star.. worth -5 stars.

Food was decent, we had a table of 8 and they messed up one of the orders which was ok. There was also a 3% charge if you do not pay with cash which was also ok as we had cash. The part that got me is the handwritten receipt.. you can see here that it is very difficult to read. We didn’t notice at the time but the total was $159 and then it jumped to $185 so the waiter gave himself a $26 tip. This is common for a large party except for he failed to mentioned this and it was not listed anywhere on the messy receipt so we ended up double tipping. When we first got the check, I asked about splitting the bill and the server acted like it was going to be a lot of work (I think so we don’t notice the extra tip portion). We ended up tipping another $33 on top of the $26 tip he gave himself. Server got $59 in tip total, was very slimy. Feel bad because this is the server’s doing, not the restaurant. It just leaves a bad image/taste
