Really great service and the food is piping hot. We ordered about 8 dishes and everything came out of the kitchen in about 10-15 minutes. Prices are great and portions are huge! Will be coming back!!!
I don’t know why we haven’t been here for so long! We used to come often but with all these new places and so many options we kind of forgot about this place. Food was delicious!! We ordered some of our regular items and this places is so far really really good! I need to just remember to suggest this place the next time the fam wants to go out for dinner
My family has been ordering from them for Lunar New Year for many years now. They offer a lot of good Chinese dishes for a reasonable price. I took off a few stars because we tried to order over the phone in advance on CNY eve, and they said they don't take pre orders. That's fine, we called like they recommended about 1-2 hours before our desired time. We called so many times and no one picked up because their lines were so busy. I wished they would just take orders earlier in the day so we don't have to physically go in person to order and wait. When we got there in person, we were informed it'll take about 30 min to an hr. Sure, that's fine as well. We waited and waited and saw people who came after us, leave with food. I checked with the staff and it turns out, they left our food on the table without informing us, despite them taking down my number and telling me they'll give me a call when it's ready. I wished the service would be better or they have a better system on peak holidays. Parking: sucks on holidays. But that's expected. So park on the street and walk in if you can.
We came here for the house special fried crab with the garlic and that was great but we were very impressed with everything on the menu. The standouts were the beef dry chow fun and the house special spare ribs. For a family style situation, it’s excellent. And for a solo experience I would get that chow fun again!
We ordered Garlic Fried Crab, Spicy/Salty Pork Chop, Deep Fried Fish and BBQ Pork Fried Rice. 10 out of 10! Nice clean restaurant and service was excellent! They kept changing our dirty dishes and kept our pot of tea full. Even gave us an extra box of rice to go. Price as expected for 2023. Try and see for urself!
Food is delicious. Difficult find the parking space.
Haven’t been here in a long while and kinda forgot about it. But my parents wanted to go specifically for some garlic crab. And it did not disappoint! One of the better Cantonese style Chinese restaurants in the SGV! I would absolutely come more often now. Whoever cooked on 8/15 dinner time, chefs kiss. Garlic crab was delicious. Although crab is so tedious to eat like this, it was really good. Beef filet cubes were super flavorful and so tender. Not chewy at all like other Chinese restaurants make it. The lobster was my favorite. Black pepper seasoning was not too overpowering and the basil added such a nice aroma. Green beans were amazing. Perfect amount of wok char flavor and spice. Salt and pepper squid was fried perfectly, not chewy or tough at all. Clams were tasty but for this one you gotta enjoy bittermelon. If you don’t, stick with the clams and black bean sauce. Fried tofu was good, soy sauce with it just needed some chili. Beef chow fun was delicious, you can taste the wok char, noodles were perfect texture, we said no bean sprouts so they kindly added Chinese broccoli for us. The fried rice was good but lacking on something. I would definitely try a different fried rice next time. Service - keeping in mind it’s a Chinese restaurant, they were still sooooo nice! Attentive with tea and switching plates. Food came out quick. They brought napkins and checked on us. We enjoyed our dining experience. Parking - free small lot in this little plaza. Didn’t have an issue with parking at all. I’m sure if they got busy, parking might be a smidge difficult. But we had no issues with 3 cars.
Delicious food. Unbelievable Garlic Crab. Lightly fried, delicious crunchy garlic. Braised string beans. French style steak. Salt and Pepper Squid. And complimentary red bean soup for dessert after dinner.
I did not have a big appetite today , so I just ordered the House Special Fried Rice. Crab is their specialty - it was $59 today, but I felt it was too big for myself. House Special Fried Rice - had crab meat and dried scallops. It was quite good with that authentic wok hey flavor.
My wife’s family and I come here at least 1-2 a month. I love coming here. Typically I’ll order their salt and pepper pork, but I’ve yet to order something I didn’t like on their menu. Service is always extremely friendly and the food usually comes out promptly.
Parking can be rough but sometimes you might find a spot right in front like we did today! Or there is plenty of street parking. They take credit card. Plenty of tables and no reservations are taken. Service can be a little hard to get their attention but the waiter who helped us was really friendly. You will have to order rice separately but the tea is free and has a good roasty taste. We ordered the infamous shredded taro and chives (SO delicious) and the amazing beef dish (forgot the name but it’s one of their house specials). There were other dishes as well but these two are my favorite! Both pretty expensive at $22 or $25 per a dish. But it is tasty and my parents love this place!!
On a visit to Monterey park, we were in the mood for Chinese food, our friends recommended seafood palace, located on Garvey ave. Took forever to find an empty parking spot, as it’s very busy place. We were party of five, so we had the chance to order multiple different dishes to share. The house special crabs, kind of spicy with lots of minced roasted garlic, looks and taste great, The house special pork hock, deep fried skins and also was very delicious. My favorite was the diced steak French style it was fabulous! We also ordered some vegetables shredded taro with chives very good. The house special giant prawns has great taste and spices. All in all it was good experience, it came to around $35 pp. I will definitely come back to try other dishes.
Consistent delivery of high quality Cantonese food over years! We were here 15 years ago, liked it so much that we went twice in our week-long vacation. We came a couple of times this year after we moved here and are impressed with the consistent great flavor in the food. What makes this place great is there is no bad dish (of what we tried), which isn’t common even among LA’s great Chinese restaurants. Quick service both times recently, the servers could smile more. :-)
Top tier Chinese restaurant with excellent consistency. I’ve visited this restaurant twice now, and both times every dish has been amazing (except for fish pot). The house special crab is delicious though difficult to eat. The fried cod is wonderful as well. It’s very crispy on the outside and so tender on the inside. Best fried fish I’ve had. Squab was interesting to try. Flavor and texture were both pretty good, but not worth the price in my opinion due to the small portion and similarity to duck/chicken. Mushroom beef stir fry is a hidden gem in this restaurant. It’s not featured as a house special in the images on the walls, but achieves restaurant level stir fry with its glistening and tender mushrooms, flavorful beef, without excess oil/grease underneath. A dish very difficult to make at home. The string beans also exceed expectations; they have just the right consistency with the outer layer of skin slightly wrinkling, but a cooked crunchy interior. Friendly suggestion to this restaurant would be to consider making a house special fried fish! The fish was quite good but I don’t like the sweet and sour sauce it came with, and I think it could be improved by adding the fried garlic bits that are the hallmark of a bi Feng tang dish. Would love this place even more with a bi Feng tang fish! Service was also great. Plates were switched out frequently because we were eating the crab, and when I dropped a chopstick someone noticed immediately and brought me a new pair. Appreciate it!
We had lunch on Chinese New Year day. The live crab was delicious and fresh. Other dishes were tasty as well. We came with friends for dinner for different occasions. Some of the dinner selections were unique. If you order any dishes that were in photos on the wall, you can't go wrong. Those signature dishes were an excellent choice.
Fresh seafood with great tasting. I ordered the pan fried oyster pancake and garlic shrimp. Both were great. Worth a try
I feel to be there with a old school way due to they don’t have digital payment method ( apply pay / google pay ) Very nice, very polite service, they know how to make customers enjoy the time. We laughed we talked. Food is really good as well
Came here for a birthday dinner. The food is SO GOOD! Stand outs were the lobster noodles, Szechuan beef, clams, house special crab, and fish. Definitely coming back to try the rest of the menu
It's a nice place. . If you want to tried Chinese seafood this is the best place... you can choose different dishes and then share with all your family it's really nice, the attention it's good too..
Best crab I have had in the US. It is certainly not cheap but definitely more than enough for your party. Trust me, I have an 18 year old son who eats a lot and we didn’t finish the dish.
First time dining this Guangdong style restaurant here in LA during my vacation time! The food is so tasty we ordered, definitely will come again if next time travelling here!
This place has a giant menu, but the portions are so big that I would probably be conservative with orders. Staff speaks Cantonese - they generally move quick and efficiently so don't mistaken interactions for being rude
Love this place for family style Chinese food. Super authentic and extremely delicious dishes. Their house special garlic crabs is a must.

Expensive, tasty, good service. Friendly
Came here to celebrate Father's day early. Food were great and portion was good, we got several boxes of food to pack lunch. Took reservations and servers were attentive. Only complaint is the parking, which is very insufficient.
Seafood was fresh, servers were friendly and very attentive. Came here with friends since we were in LA for a few days. A tad salty but still good! Def a try if your in LA and want some good Chinese Seafoood.
The Chinese cuisine make the food so tasty 😋. Price was reasonable. Two person we ordered fish special soup (very good, I don't think you can cook in you home kitchen.) Seafood with bitters melon(taste not bitter at all, they make it natural light sweet for me.) Koh pot chicken.(cook by chef's not from the assistant.) Totally about $80.00 with the taste it worth every single dollars.
The house special garlic fried crab is still the bomb although prices have sadly gone up to $70+. Even though there’s not that much meat, the taste makes it worth it for a special treat. Other dishes were just ok, and wait staff were all right (for a Chinese place).
Loved the sweet and sour pork. The crab a bit pricey but delicious 😋.
It has three price options. We selected the lowest price option which was about $33 with limited meat selection. The quality of meat was good still.
I've been in this restaurant for over a decade and I still quite like it. But to be honest, the taste isn't as good as before. Maybe it's because a few chefs have changed, or the restaurant has been in operation for too long and the owner isn't as dedicated as before. The other food is okay, but the signature dish, stir-fried crab in Typhoon Shelter, is a bit expensive. The three of us had three dishes and one soup, and we spent a total of 200 US dollars. The only thing we couldn't accept was They will charge your tip on your credit card without notifying you, which led me to tip twice. Although I might come back here for meals again in the future, I'm sure I will never tip them again. I think it's my right, right?
Every year I go there when I’m down there, have the day the food is pretty good 8/10
Came for dinner with family for a casual dine-in. The staff is friendly and you can totally speak to them in ToiSan/Canto if you wish to feel like you're right at home. Food is typical of these restaurants - some dishes like the SALTED FISH WITH EGGPLANT is delicious but oily, and other dishes can be overly salty and overly oily. Their SOUPS are absolutely delicious and steal the show but there's always too much stuff and not enough liquid. It's got a good variety of dishes to choose from and prices are pretty much on par for the area. At the end of the meal you'll get a warm blend of sweet taro dessert (not the the red bean thankfully). Parking is shared lot so during busy hours you might just have to park on the street.

They have this picture of their house chicken dish on the wall looked great so we ordered it, WHAT we didn't know was that the dish is A COLD dish, we sent it back to get it warmer A LOT WARMER instead we got the same COLD chicken back. We just took it to go(we'll put it in the steamer at home)because the chicken was still bloody around the joints. The other things we ordered were all pretty good.
Came here for dinner on a Saturday night. Recommend to make reservations as it gets busy during peak dinner time. We ordered 7 dishes and a soup for our group. All of the food items we ordered tasted average as nothing stood out. Portions are on the larger side. Service was typical for a Chinese restaurant meaning spotty service. Restaurant is super loud so it's hard to have a conversation at the table. Small parking lot in front but had to park on the street.
I felt that there were two servers (older) that came across somewhat rude. One took our order, but was displaying impatience. The other, when requesting, items such as forks or extra napkins came across as flippant.
Nothing was bad but had more underwhelming dishes than hits. Best dishes: crab, shrimp/meat pieces Wouldn't get again: vermicelli with meat, omelette with preserved turnip Overall nothing was bad but nothing was amazing except for the crab

Really good but too noisy. The waiters drop the plates, bowls and spoon and undo the tables with so much noise. It was really annoying. Please be more delicate. Very expensive.

We ordered House Special Crab to go, the staff said it was 2.5 lb of crab but when we got the order, it was definitely less than 2.5 lb and both craws were missing. There were almost no meat on the crab, the price was not cheap with more than $75.00, it was a rip off. It was not worth the money.
We had lunch at this restaurant today and this became a nightmare to us and my friend. First, the restaurant sanitation is bad. We understand it is common that the tableware in a Chinese restaurant will have some water drop and dust. However, I did not expect to have a giant insect in my soup. Secondly, the waiter's attitude is extreme bad. After he found out the insect in the soup, he try to convince us it is normal to have a big bug in the vegetable; I assume he believes that having a bug in the vegetable will proof the fresh of the vegetable since their crops don't contain pesticide. The waiter told us you can go see a doctor if you feel uncomfortable later and went away without even apologize. Next time, please apologize if the same thing happened to another customers. In the end, I will not recommend this restaurant to my friends and family.
I used to visit here once a while for the crab but NEVER AGAIN! The only dish good here is the house special crab. Others are just meh and overpriced. I suggest you guys to go new lucky seafood right across the street for better food , better service and the price is more reasonable over there as well. Here is my horrible experience at seafood palace that I have to share. I made a call in the morning to make a reservation for party of 7 @ 7:30pm. The lady on the phone said it is not busy today so just come here by that time and she told me she has made the reservation for me. I repeated myself couple times to her it is 7:30 for party of 7. Once we arrived at 7:28 it seems like every table was full. I asked them I had made reservation why didn't you guys reserve my table. The lady yelled at us "You guys are late! Your reservation was 7:00. " I told them I am pretty sure I repeated on phone a couple times the reservation I made was 7:30 not 7:00. I expected an apology from them. But they chose to blame the customer when THEY were wrong! I'm also glad I left there immediately with my family and friend cause the food and service was far better at New Lucky Seafood a couple blocks away.
