So far my dining experience here has been great! I always get the steak dinner and it's cooked they way I ask for it except for maybe once, I got well done instead of med well and my beans were super hot. Maybe that was a slip up that day. It has not stopped me from enjoying this place, from the chips and salsa to the freshly carbonated soda. I live about 26 miles away but will take a drive out here anytime for this place. I have yet to try there other dishes, but am looking forward to what else this place has to offer. Oh, the receptionist are sweet, attentive, servers try there best to check up on you in case there is a need.

An update here: I celebrated a family birthday here and the food, the service and the vibe are all still perfect, the gold standard in every way. I had the Carnitas Enchaladas. So delicious! If you haven't tried Joselito's Montrose yet please do. It's a sure thing that you will be coming back. Delicious food, friendly service and a cozy atmosphere make Joselitos a treasure. There are many restaurants on Honolulu in Montrose, put Joselitos at the top of your list.

What a wonderful experience at this restaurant! The food was tasty, and fresh. Our server Lalo was warm and attentive. The younger gentleman that got our water and table set up initially was very kind. They have great outdoor seating patios, and are very kind and dog friendly. We enjoyed our experience, and felt like the food was delicious. We hope to come back on a regular. There seem to be many regulars there, and we can see why! Right in the heart of Montrose Honolulu, parking can be found with a little effort! There is street metered parking, and a few public lots south of the street. Update - 1.2025 continues to be our go to neighborhood Mexican spot. Lalo is wonderful, and we always love being in his section!

Beautiful restaurant. First time for me and my girlfriend. We both loved the atmosphere. The decorations around the restaurant were very nice. I had the burrito, and it was huge. 1lb. She had the Tostada. Huge as well. Neither of us finished our meals. The waiter was very friendly. All the staff we encountered were friendly. Affordable prices as well.

This is one of my favorite spots for Mexican food. I came here with my husband on a Monday night for dinner at around 6 p.m. There weren't a lot of people at that time, but after about 30 minutes, it began milling with people. The restaurant has a downstairs and upstairs portion, so though it might look small/narrow, it does have some space. If you've been to the Joselitos in Tujunga, this one seems a little smaller, less decorative, and not as extensive (or festive) menu wise. You still get your chips and salsa. The menu isn't pages long (like the Tujunga one), but rather a long double-sided menu. The prices felt comparable to me with both places. Another thing to note, I usually am on the lookout for deals (like margarita mondays or taco tuesdays), which the Tujunga location has and which is displayed on their sign when you enter. I didn't ask at this location, but i didn't see any such similar signage. You might want to ask when you go. :) I got the traditional tostada with chicken. the chicken is shredded. It's a corn tortilla on the bottom of the plate, topped with beans, cheese, shredded chicken, shredded lettuce, guac, and sour cream. The tostada is huge. I opted for this instead of a salad since I wanted it to be more open faced (than a tostada bowl salad), plus I like shredded lettuce. This thing made me incredibly full! My husband got the machaca con huevos. basically, shredded beef with eggs and peppers. This was also good, but kind of felt like any other omelette. We shared a bowl of the albondigas soup. Basically a light tomato broth w veggies and 2 meatballs. Ask for the habanero sauce.
