Locale elegante ed anche particolare, curato in ogni dettaglio. Servizio super, con cameriera sempre sorridente, propositiva ed attenta alle esigenze delle mie bambine. Un bel clima davvero. Piatti ricercati e proposte interessanti, non scontate e con ingredienti di ottima qualità. Noi ci siamo trovati benissimo!
5 stelle per questo ristorante, ottimo il cibo, bellissima l'atmosfera con una vetrata che affaccia su una tipica corte lombarda. La cameriera gentilissima e pronta a esaudire ogni nostra richiesta (con un bellissimo tatuaggio sulla mano) e il proprietario che in fatto di ristorazione e cultura culinaria sà decisamente il fatto suo. Ottimo, consigliatissimo e il liquore alla liquirizia fatto dal proprietario....tanta roba!!! Il risotto alla monzese, TOP!!
UNA BELLISSIMA E BUONISSIMA ESPERIENZA. 😋🔝🤗 Sabato sera presso La Cantina della Monaca. In una location elegante, intima e curata ai piedi del campanile del Duomo di Monza. L'apericena con il tagliere della monaca ed una signora tartare, accompagnati da una buonissima bottiglia dalla fornitissima cantina hanno soddisfatto pienamente le nostre aspettative. Grazie a tutto lo staff per un servizio impeccabile. In particolare alla simpaticissima Serena che ha dimostrato passione e professionalità nel servirci e nel raccontarci i piatti. Questi sono I locali che ci piacciono!!! ❤️
Un ristorante posto dietro al Duomo, non molto grande (consiglio la prenotazione) che merita davvero! Abbiamo preso la paella rivisitata ed era estremamente gustosa: il rapporto qualità - quantità - prezzo è ottimo, è pensata per 2 persone e si esce dal ristoranti sazi. Offrono birre artigianali dai retrogusti particolari (noi abbiamo preso la Scura con retrogusto di caffè e la Tei che con retrogusto di banana). Prima di portarci i piatti ci hanno offerto un antipasto della casa (vellutata di patate con granella di pistacchio) La cameriera molto disponibile e simpatica, all'inizio del pasto spiegherà la preparazione dei piatti che si scelgono. Il proprietario gentilissimo, ci ha offerto anche il digestivo e ci ha parlato della storia del Risotto alla monzese. Davvero consigliatissimo. In zona non ci sono parcheggi essendo in centro (ZTL), però se si parcheggia verso il duomo parking si raggiunge facilmente a piedi.
Buongiorno. Sono venuto a mangiare presso questo ristorante domenica 17 marzo 2024. Qui ho mangiato bene in centro storico a Monza: qualità del cibo è eccellente, il servizio è accettabile e il conto è un po’ caro!!
Quella di venerdì è stata la mia quarta volta in questo locale e ora mi sembra corretto fare una recensione. Ambiente molto bello, super pulito ,personale competente, capace ed estremamente gentile così come il titolare. Per la prima volta ho provato la loro famosa paella rivisitata e ne è valsa davvero la pena, buonissima e abbondante. Anche la carta dei vini è ben fornita di ottime scelte
Bel locale, personale molto preparato, simpatico e allegro. Piatti molto buoni, ben presentati e non banali. Prezzi medi ma corretti considerando la qualità è la posizione. Forse un pochino scuro, qualche luce in più non mi sarebbe dispiaciuta ma sicuramente fa atmosfera.
My partner and I arrived on Saturday evening without a reservation, and the staff immediately welcomed us as if we were family. They seated us right away and then let us arrange our seating as we pleased. Meanwhile, we were served with the utmost professionalism, kindness, and a wonderful smile, and we were treated to a crostini in the chef's sweet and sour sauce. Besides the truly beautiful and elegant atmosphere, there was a positive and positive energy. What can we say about the dishes? The meat was tender and delicious, and the traditional risotto really wowed us. It was a truly magical experience, thank you!
We're from Puglia and discovered this welcoming place by chance last year on vacation, and it had already lived up to our expectations. Today we returned to Monza and sought it out, eager to try that wonderful saffron risotto again... and it was confirmed! We recommend a lovely dinner here, especially because the owner and staff are super professional and courteous. ☺️ Credit where credit is due 💪

This is a beautiful place, because it is extremely romantic. Just around the corner of the Duomo but away from big restaurants and a lot of people. My family had lunch and diner twice because of the lovely people, service and beautiful location.
A very warm and welcoming place, and above all, not noisy, making it ideal for conversation. The dishes are very carefully prepared and of good quality. The menu is varied and not fixed. The staff is welcoming and attentive. The location is central, on a street away from the busy Monza nightlife. A decent selection of wines and beers.

Real good place! Very nice ambiance and superb Italian quality food!! Very friendly but rather new serving. Suggestion to add some kids menu. Go here instead of choosing the popular places!! With my next Monza visit I will for sure come back here!!

Mi sono fermato per un pranzo lavorativo veloce. Primo + coperto + acqua 10€. Buon rapporto qualità prezzo. Unico consiglio aggiungere una foglia di basilico sulla lasagna!
Trovandoci a Monza per un evento e non sapendo dove pranzare ci affidiamo totalmente alle recensioni e foto dei vari locali e optiamo di fermarci a La cantina della Monaca. Location moderna, arredamento studiato e personale giovane e dinamico. Un mix sicuramente vincente. Il tutto condito da una cucina tradizionale con un pizzico di modernità. Il risotto con l'osso buco non me lo dimenticherò facilmente...squisito!!

Bel locale praticamente in piazza duomo a Monza. Servizio giovane e simpatico. Molto lento il servizio verso la fine. 45 minuti di attesa circa per il dolce. Cmq mi sono trovato bene. Menù degustazione asparagi non male.. Prezzo in linea con l'offerta.
Dinner with friends in downtown Monza, a table of eight of us. We had a mixed appetizer: the veal with tuna sauce was truly delicious, one of the best dishes of the evening, while the cured meats were average, nothing special. For my first course, I had a risotto, which was good but average, and the other dishes weren't particularly impressive either. We had two or three bottles of wine and still had a great time. The staff was incredibly kind; they let us stay until closing without rushing us, always with a smile. Overall, a lovely evening, more for the company and the atmosphere than the food, but overall, a pleasant place in the heart of Monza.
Pranzo di famiglia un po‘ deludente. Personale cordiale, locale accogliente. Alcuni piatti buoni ma piatto del giorno, pappardelle al ragù di cinghiale, veramente cattive, scotte e senza sapore. Il cuoco ha proposto una mousse con granella di pistacchio sia sul crostino di benvenuto, sia sulla tartare e ancora su un altro piatto. Pietanze comunque ben presentate. Non ho elementi per consigliarlo né per tornare ancora, peccato…
Il locale si presenta in una situazione di eccessivo buio, però tenuto presente che si chiama "Cantina" direi che si possa considerare consono. Il cibo non è eccezionale: senza lode e senza infamia. I camerieri sono gentili, ma non professionali, i prezzi potrebbero essere leggermente più bassi vista la non eccellenza dei piatti.
Locale accogliente e personale gentile. Abbiamo preso solo degli antipasti che non hanno soddisfatto a pieno le nostre aspettative per qualità/ prezzo. Un po caro per quello che abbiamo mangiato.

We're passing through Monza for lunch, and we read a "charcuterie and cheese platter for €7.50" outside a restaurant. We decide that for a quick lunch, that's what we want. Only once seated do we discover that the platter is either charcuterie or cheese platter only, with a minimum of two servings at €8.50/€9.50 each. Once we're seated, it seems rude to leave, so we order just the charcuterie, so two, hoping it'll be plenty. Bottom line: we pay €17 for a plate of 10 slices of mixed charcuterie. With a glass of wine and a spritz, we're shocked to reach €40. The owner at the cashier tells us that it's complicated for them to make mixed platters. Lord, they make them everywhere in Italy! If you don't know how to manage a mixed platter, it means, as we've seen, that you're really trying to rip off and make money on these things. We won't be back; I hope others don't get ripped off like we did.

A beautiful dining room with a large picture window gives the place a distinctly special, almost romantic atmosphere, just a short walk from Monza’s Duomo. Unfortunately, this charm was overshadowed by the owner’s handling of our booking and the bill, which felt anything but transparent. He had clearly talked about a fixed price of €15–20 per person for an "aperitivo" for 11 people; at his request, I even tried to bring more guests, and we ultimately arrived in 16 – not easy to confirm ahead of time in the hectic days before Christmas. When the bill arrived, however, the agreed-forfait had vanished: every single slice of cheese and bite of food was itemised, bringing the total to €30 per person. It is the kind of experience that leaves one feeling politely cheated, and it is enough for us to decide not to return. Pity!
We had a very nice evening. Nice staff. I tm sure they trick tourist - we had a bill over €177, the beef was €46 and risotto the same. Since it was per Gramm - didn’t make sense. Don’t go if - there are better places in Monza.
