We celebrated a birthday party at Serendipity Café & Bar, and it couldn’t have been better! The atmosphere was amazing, the food and drinks were delicious, and the service was outstanding. A special thanks to the manager, who was incredibly helpful and made sure everything went perfectly. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the music set the perfect vibe for our celebration. Highly recommend this place for any special occasion or a fun night out — we’ll definitely be back! 🎉🍸
I had a great time here! We were well taken care of and Gus was a great server, I would ask for him if you come visit! We came from out of state and he was so welcoming!!! I am definitely coming again next time!
We went there for a brunch and really enjoyed our food! The Brisket Omelette was really tasty; ask for fajitas with your house potatoes, very delicious! Spicy Bloody Mary was good too. Overall, great food and highly recommended, we will be definitely back next time we visit friends in Moorpark, CA!
The host was amazing! The food was good, and I suspect the atmosphere was super quiet because I went on a weekday, midday. Sports games were on, so weekends are probably the best times to go if you want some excitement! Definitely will visit again but with a group so we can try the monster margarita. I got the bottomless mimosas, and the best one was the strawberry, hands down!!!
What an amazing family owned business! Not only was the food perfect for a picky eater like myself but the staff was so kind and welcoming. Today I ordered a very basic breakfast that is easy to mess up. I ordered eggs scrambled well with hash browns and pancakes with a side of fruit. I'm very picky when it come to eggs... the eggs were perfect! Not stiff or watery, just perfect fluffy and delicious I did not have to season! The hash browns were crunchy on the outside without being burnt and moist and buttery in the middle. The pancakes!!!! Bah were delicious, first I tried them without syrup or butter and the batter was so fulfilling. Being firm on the outside and soft in the middle these absolutely hit the spot. After I added butter and syrup..... oh geez everything just got better. The fruit tasted fresh. The coffee was fresh Not burnt even without sugar. They offer French vanilla and half and half if you need it. The ice tea hit the spot! I'm definitely a tea drinker and this tea is top two for me. Now to the service... my main server was Jazz. Jazz was more than kind and accommodating. They were absolutely willing to tell me about the restaurants history and how they love working for this family. The other servers were super kind as well. I didn't go without a drink the entire time. Everyone smiled and looked very clean! Then entire place is very clean. They offer alot of mimosa combinations for those who want a breakfast with friends . All in all this place is definitely a place I recommend to families, friends or single riders lol. They will make you feel welcomed and will accommodate and become creative to make sure your visit is the best. Oh and if you have allergies... they have a second kitchen to prepare the food. I loved it!
Decided to try this location for lunch. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. The prices are comparable to other restaurants and the portions were generous. The waitress was knowledgeable of the menu and offered suggestions. We sat near the bar area and it was not crowded at all. Overall.... it was a nice experience.
Serendipity Cafe is a nice restaurant nestled in Moorpark. The atmosphere is very minimalist. Open space. Clean lines. Modern atmosphere. Very Posh for an area in Moorpark, where most of the restaurants carry a more hometown feel. The upscale environment isn't a bad thing. The prices on their food are what's to be expected. Fair portions. It's very tasty. The Chilaquiles were delicious, as well as the Serendipity combo. My only criticism is that the pancakes were a tad on the dry side. But that is an issue easily rectified by adding more syrup to the plate. All in all, it is a very decent place to enjoy breakfast, brunch, or any other meal that you might fancy.
I went here for brunch with three other people. The staff was friendly, helpful, and service oriented. The food was really good and that mimosa...WOW! We had an awesome time and if you don't drink the entire mimosa, they put it in to go containers. It was a great experience.
Food was tastely a lot of flavor, restaurant was clean and service was really friendly. Everything tasted fresh. Servers were really nice. We sat at the bar area but both sides of the restaurant looked really nice.
This place has definitely become an Instagram destination. Famous for huge mimosas, bottomless drinks, and dry aged steaks. I had the poke salad…way too much mayo dressing for my taste but looked very impressive and my wife had the two eggs with turkey bacon which was good also. Great service and cool vibe for Moorpark. Go check it out.

We had an absolute amazing time at serendipity this morning. We have the joy of having CHER As our waitress. She was phenomenal. We will definitely be back because of her. 10. Stars for Cher!!

Took my wife here for her birthday recently; great staff very attentive and kind. While the atmosphere was welcoming and clean. The food had something to desire, thou the look was nice the taste didn't deliver. Also had the monster mimosa definitely a crowd pleaser.
Had dinner at the Bar side this past Friday (7/15/22). Pleasantly surprised that a talented Live band (a trio) was playing…an awesome selection of music. This side of the restaurant was lively but not too overwhelming…loud but not too distracting. Our server was kind, friendly and efficient. The restaurant manager (I think) was very friendly and checked on us frequently asking for feedback. This means the world to us because it shows they care and are aiming for a great experience for EVERYONE! Food was good. Had the calamari to start. Calamari rings were crispy not as meaty as we’d hoped for…rings were pretty thin. The sauce that accompanied it made up for it! Hopefully they’ll consider getting a more meaty style of calamari. My fiancé had the slider trio made up of a pork belly, burger and a meatball slider. The pork belly melts in your mouth, the burger hit the spot and the meatball was juicy and flavorful. The grand finale for us was my Cheesesteak Sandwich served with Curley flat fries (and we also had beer battered onion rings). The cheesesteak was seasoned and perfectly cooked with onions and bell peppers then topped with cheese (ask for jalapeños and a side of lemon wedge…you’re welcome!). Will definitely be returning…
$ Really good foods (we've had breakfast and lunch only). Service is awesome. Bar area is really cool (15 tv's?). Highly recommend. We will continue to return.
Good all day breakfast place, good size happy hour poke nachos, we found "make it combo" a good choice with both savory and sweet options included, food is ok usual american style with crepes.
This is a great place with great food and drinks, but I am disappointed because the lady who was we served she brought the check when we were eating, we were not finished yet, please guys, next time wait a little more to the costumers that is no fair for us, we are like take we time and join the food ok, please check it out. Thank you, guys.

We had a great time. Food was good. Drinks were good. The only downside is for the mimosas there was a delay in ordering more since the waiters were busy. Their pomegranate martini is chefs kiss! Different food options which is great for family.
Goof food. Service was a tad slow. And they can only split checks 3 ways. So don’t have a large group that want separate checks. But really good food.

This is what a $16 Pulled pork sandwich looks like, more coleslaw than pork. Definitely not the best or worst pulled pork but DEFINITELY not worth the price! I will definitely not be a returning customer. Staff was nice. That’s the only reason for the 2 stars.
This place is not good. Chicken and waffles are awful and it’s $19. Their cocktail list has $9 drinks but their mimosas are $12. Bar never seems to be open. I'm amazed this place is still open. Seriously, just go to McDonald’s because this is not good food. I’d be embarrassed to tell people I owned this place.

Went for a Mother's Day brunch yesterday and expected the place to busy and it was. There was so much noise and distraction in the place you couldn't enjoy the company of those with whom you went. I could hardly hear the server (she spoke in almost a whisper) and when my order came it was NOT what I ordered even though I repeated it to her and she repeated it back. Additionally, others in our party did not get what they ordered. The pancakes I did get were awful...so tough and chewy I couldn't even cut them with a knife much less my fork..tasted more like i was eating a loaf of bread than a light fluffy pancake, or more realistically like trying to eat a wet sponge! My Pearl Milling ("Aunt Jemima") pancakes are far and above better than what I was served. We took most of these "pancakes" home hoping that adding some syrup or peanut or something would help them. After my wife tried to eat them and couldn't stomach the awful texture, lack of flavor and toughness, we threw them away. The prices are well out of bounds for the quality of the food they serve... and I was always suspicious of what the offering was like having reviewed the pricing for the type of food described online. I went because I was invited to go otherwise I would not have ever gone to this restaurant. My impression price-wise was they are pretending to be a high quality fine food restaurant, extensively overcharging for mediocre food. Having now been there, I can say I was correct--they were pretending!. I do not recommend you go "Serendipity"...you can get better food elsewhere.
Thank you for sharing your experience, Yvette. Here’s a polished version of your review that clearly communicates your feedback and reasoning for the 1-star rating: --- ⭐️ I was disappointed with my recent visit to Serendipity Restaurant & Bakery. I ordered a pastrami Reuben sandwich, but there wasn’t much meat and it came with no sauce—it was very dry. I also ordered an Old Fashioned, but the server didn’t know how to make it, so I had to explain the recipe. We came to enjoy lunch with my sister, but it was so uncomfortable because they turned off the A/C and it became stifling; we had to leave early because of the heat. The employee acknowledged they turned off the A/C because we were the only group there. To top it off, we had to hunt down an employee just to pay and leave. Overall, not a good experience. ---
