Avis sur Simona Morelia
This is simply a fantastic restaurant that you shouldn't hesitate to visit. We ordered the sopes and the choripan—which my husband declared the best he’s ever had in his life! To drink, we tried the tepache with jamaica, which was unique and absolutely delicious. Highly recommended!
A lovely, very peaceful place with an elegant touch, perfect for couples, families, or groups of friends. The atmosphere is very pleasant, as it's located in an old mansion, typical of the historic center of Morelia, the capital of Michoacán. The food is beautifully presented, the portions are moderate, and the flavor is good. Prices range from mid-range to mid-high.
The establishment has a rustic ambiance in shades of green and dark wood, with soft lighting. It has several areas with varying degrees of privacy, allowing for conversation or a quiet meal. On this occasion, I ordered a combo meal, which included a chorizo taco with seeds and an Arabic-style taco, accompanied by a side salad of red berries—very tasty and beautifully presented. For a little extra, I upgraded the water to bougainvillea, which, while delicious, had a strong cinnamon flavor. The service was extremely friendly throughout, and I found the price-quality ratio to be excellent. I would definitely return whenever I have the chance. I've already returned since that first visit to enjoy unique drinks like the Purple Potion, lemongrass with grapefruit, and the fruit tonic. I also enjoyed delicious bites, perfect for sharing, and a delicious falaffe burger with fries.
The service was top-notch, very attentive. The food was delicious. The atmosphere was pleasant and very relaxed. Plus, if you stay in a room, you get more privacy. The restaurant is very nice. They didn't take long to get me a table since the restaurant wasn't that crowded. Everything was very nice.
This is a great restaurant. Great food and great atmosphere. I had the falafel burger and really enjoyed it. The staff was a little slow in bringing all the food together. One member of our party had to remind the server about her fries twice.
Great service, excellent food with good variety. Breakfast is the most popular.
Nice Place, really Good Service With refill of café de olla. We loved the Food and would definetly come back.
The absolute best meal I had in Morelia during my 5 day visit. I don’t care if you are a local or a tourist, you have to try this place at least once. I had the Aguachile de Atun and it was amazing. Fresh, spicy, tender, sweet, crunchy and perfectly balanced. Every bite was unique depending on the ingredients that made it onto the spoon/chip. You are not supposed to play with you food but I found myself trying to make different combinations in each bite to invent new flavors. They clearly take great care to only use the freshest ingredients and provide the highest quality meal’s possible for a reasonable price. The friendly and professional service staff and the charming dining areas all help to make your experience truly memorable. Treat yourself today !
This is best quality food that I've had in Mexico. The service is fantastic. They were able to tweak the menu due to my intolerances. I had a egg white omelette with vegetables, coffee and juice of the day which was apple and celery, butter and homemade Red jam too. Feels like tea rooms, intimate spaces with lots of room, lovely decor. Outside seating too. Had a gorgeous feisty resident cat which I loved!
Lovely place with good service and good food.
The place, the food and the service is awesome. All their options are not only healthy but also incredibly tasty. Plus they have very nice music.
This is a great spot for a healthy and delicious breakfast in historic downtown Morelia. They use only healthy, local produce of good quality and the make an interesting twist on traditional mexican cuisine. The tea and coffee bar is really good. The ambiance is beautiful, they use the old court yard of a traditional historic house as the restaurant, very good choice when in Morelia.
