Mr. Sun’s Boba has been my FAVORITE café in the Bay Area since December 2023. I love Mr. Sun Tea because (1) the ambiance is welcoming and perfect for both reading and working (2) the boba is healthy. The tapioca pearls are made FRESH in-house daily, without any chemicals or artificial additives. My go-to order is the RAINBOW Boba Milk Tea with three flavors of boba. I love it so much that I also order Mr. Sun for my gatherings and catering needs.

I LOVE THIS PLACE 😍💗 the boba is so chewy, delicious and it's handcrafted right in store! fresh boba and all the drinks are so good with customization for ice and sweetness. a bit pricy ($5-7) but if u have time it's so worth it. wish i could come here everyday and bring all my friends because omg, what a hidden gem. definitely visit if you can. 🤩

I like this place, but every time I come here, I notice they’re greatly understaffed. You can easily spend 30 mins waiting for your offer. — This place has the best boba/tapioca pearls. Tea is not the best in the Bay Area but is decent. We also really like their Mr Sun Egg Pancakes. The shape is boba. How cute! I appreciate the pinball game. It’s a delightful experience.

Oh sweet sweet boba how do I love you so?... This is my favorite boba place next to where I live. Grabbed one on the way back from the dentist cleaning this morning. They make their own boba from scratch and you can see them make it super cool! Been here about a dozen times before. How did I not notice this. Super clean building with bathrooms. Never busy. They have specialties. My favorite is the Mr. Sun passion fruit green tea with boba and coconut jelly 25% sugar and less ice. You can customize it how you want. I actually like this place better than the options downtown. Nothing much to complain about here. Except the girl taking my order today was so soft-spoken I could hardly hear what she was asking. Recommend if you're dropping by or going past to grab a cold or hot drink. Or if you just need a home away from home to work or just chill.

Bought 9 bottles for a Christmas party and everyone loved it! Especially the bobas are sepecially made with low calories. Order them from their official websites otherwise the platforms such as UberEats or Chowbus will charge a lot of premium!

This place has hands down the best boba, they make their bobas by hand and you can really taste it. The drinks are good, and they have a lot of seating. Its a great place to catch up with friends here. The parking can be pretty bad but there is public parking in the back side with an underground garage and it feels pretty safe.

Mr. Sun Tea in Mountain View is hands down the best place to get boba in town. The quality of their boba is top-notch, with perfectly chewy tapioca pearls and a wide variety of delicious tea flavors to choose from. Not only is the boba amazing, but the service at Mr. Sun Tea is always friendly and efficient. The staff there are quick to take your order and make your drink exactly how you like it, ensuring that you never have to wait too long for your tasty treat. Overall, the combination of high-quality boba and excellent service makes Mr. Sun Tea a must-visit spot for any boba lover - or coffee too. I absolutely love their brand new Mountain View location — very spacious, lots of plugs, and lots of tables to do your studying at! It’s also conveniently located right next to an International Grocery Store as well.

The lady at the counter was very nice and gave us samples of the blueberry boba. It was so good, I added it on my drink that I already ordered. I think if adding flavored boba, best to do 0 or 25% sugar since it’s already pretty sweet.

I love this boba place! Staff is meh, could be better, but the drinks came out in about 5 minutes which isn't bad! The drinks are great! I got the mango smoothie with crystal balls. The smoothie is perfectly blended, and their aren't any ice chunks like other places. The crystal balls are a good alternative to actual brown sugar boba or honey boba. Just so you know, they can't add the regular brown sugar boba to smoothies because it will become tough. I recommend this place! 5/5 stars!

Wonderful open area and ambience at this Mr. Sun Tea location. I got the Mr. Sun Special w/ Strawberry Boba and it was delicious--the flavored pearls weren't overwhelming and complimented the drink well. There's one-hour free parking right outside, and the underground lot next to it has free parking for longer as well.

Great variety of drinks and some attractive snack. I love the decor of the cafe. The location, next to a grocery market, also make it convenient to get some grocery and then a drink to reward.

Their golden colored brown sugar boba is really unique and tasty compared to other stores.

I had never been here, I got fast service and yummy drink. The environment is nice, and there is seating: I will be back with friends

Come by once a week. Really love Rose black tea latte, taro green milk tea, mango green milk tea earl grey milk tea. Especially their rainbow and mango boba. Highly recommended!! I loooooooove!

Mr. Sun's stashe aesthetic was really what inspired me to visit this shop on an absolutely hot day here in Mountain View. I was so ready for another boba drink and they delivered. The interior was quite large for a boba shop. There aren't a lot of tables but definitely standing areas where you can watch the outside world go by. If weather permits, you can enjoy your drink at a table outside the shop. Everything is ordered through the kiosk. However, there was no way to substitute or remove an item such as the boba cream for my drink, so I made sure to inform the staff once the order went through. I went with an Early Grey Milk Tea with Soy Milk, Boba, and less sugar. The drink was well blended and I could taste the tea over simply just sugar. I was happy they included non-dairy milk! Drinks came in compostable paper cups making it easier on the earth. Definitely would come back the next time I'm in the area.

Although there's only street parking next to a main stoplight/intersection, the inside is really spacious. We were pretty much the only customers when we arrived late in the evening so service was fast and timely. The girls working were nice. We ordered the Jasmine Green Milk Tea with boba and Strawberry Boba Milk Tea at both 50% sugar and less ice. The drinks were really good, just the right amount of sweetness. The boba consistency was nice and chewy. I thoroughly enjoyed the drinks, I'd come back again.

Not sure why this place doesn't have higher reviews. I had a pleasant experience; fast, friendly and easy...and my drink was tasty as well. The lady helping us (the owner...I think) was very friendly and gave us samples of various Boba to try. Mr. Sun was in the middle of getting remodeled when I came here. The exit/second entrance was being worked on, and the inside was closed. Liquid Sugar: ~ Matcha Red Bean Smoothie w/ Matcha Jelly - 4/5 Solid Matcha smoothie, not too sweet or too bitter. Very well balanced with a decent amount of Matcha Jelly. Matcha on Matcha time! ~ Cheese Milk Foam w/ Oolong Tea - 4/5 Cream Salty Cheesy goodness. Tasty blend that just works well. No issues with stopping by again...

TLDR; mr. sun has a good assortment of milk teas and fruit teas. they make their boba in-house (you can see them kneading the tapioca and putting it into the machine). their drinks are pretty creamy too and run a little sweet. i've been to the mr. sun in cupertino and mountain view. i know there's one opening in palo alto too. // jasmine milk tea with brown sugar boba (25% ice, 25% sweet) their boba is nice and chewy with brown sugar flavor (was on the softer side this time). their milk tea is pretty creamy, definitely more milky vs. a tea flavor but i like it like that. mr. sun drinks do run sweet so i'd recommend getting a sugar level down than normal since the boba already has brown sugar too. ordering was quick and easy. would come back.

Very disappointing experience. Waited for a simple boba drink for 17 min ( non-rush hour) and then wanted to cancel the order, and they were unable to refund me. Ended up waiting for my drink for total 25 min.

Cute place, huge with plenty of indoor seating and various nooks. That being said, the service here was awful. The menu purports to offer drink customization, but the kiosk does NOT provide such options especially for the smoothies. I asked to sub out the crystal bobas with brown sugar boba, even willing to pay any price differential (which there shouldn’t be), and the female employee with a ponytail literally said “no”. I indicated that I prefer my drink with the brown sugar boba, and she said that those aren’t for smoothies. Definitely a place to which not to return — most unfortunate given the Cupertino location was great and sadly now closed. Ugh, edited this because the smoothie/blended drink was quite good - giving this place three stars.
