We love their food and come often. Their service is very good! Speed of getting food ready is also good. Their sticky mango rice dessert is very good, sweet and ripe mangos. Still many dishes to try!
This actually turns out better than we expected! Guess it's not yet broadly shared on xiaohongshu but already got full house on a Friday evening. Food has 锅气 which is very authentic. Rotti with peanut sauce, papaya salad, spicy basil with ground pork all are very good. Their mild spicy level is probably medium in other American-Thai restaurant, authentic in its way. Prices are reasonable, we got more than we could finish.
While visiting Castro Street we decided to try this Thai restaurant and were very pleased with the quality and taste of the food, the service and the environment. The Mango salad with crispy tofu was exquisite. The spicy eggplant stir fry with prawn was also amazing. We paired it with steamed brown rice and after our first few bites decided we will definitely be back to try other dishes.
The owner was very nice and generous. The food was really good and the service was fast.
Everyone in our group loved their food. I recommend their curry dishes (Mussaman & yellow curry), spring rolls, ginger tea, and roti with cashew sauce appetizer.
We visited this place for team lunch. Great Thai place with excellent food! I loved the authenticity of the food and their service was great and friendly! Great vegetarian options too! Deserts were okayish! Worth a try!
One of the best Thai restaurants I have been. Hot Tom yum soup was made of shrimp, mushrooms and tomatoes and it was very sour. Hoa Mok Fish was tasty and the spice level was pretty good.
Very nice Thai restaurant. We enjoyed large coconut seafood soup and springs rolls and also Sinhga beer. Everything was fresh and tasty.
10/10 experience and food. I used to come to Amarin a lot when I lived nearby. I have not been back in a long time but was able to stop by the new location. I am so grateful that I was able to come back and have the mango cashew chicken & thai tea. Everything was delicious, just like I remembered. The service was great and everyone who helped me was so kind. I will be back when I am in the area again!
Best Thai food experience in Mountain View/Palo Alto. Our months- long search is over. We had chicken satay, soft tofu fresh rolls, and spicy basil tofu fried rice. All really good. Great service, airy, on a busy fun closed street. We will be back!
Best hummus I've ever had. super creamy and tasty. The pita is also excellent, puffy and fresh. Very good quality all around
Wonderful Sunday lunch last week. The fried cauliflower florets starter was great. Nicely fried, not greasy with a good thick pesto labane sauce. We loved the muhamarra with the fried pita strips. Had some the next day and it was still fantastic. The chicken pita sandwich was good. My chickpea salad was tasty, but I wasn’t expecting the chickpeas to be so firm. The chocolate babka was great, not too sweet. The staff was attentive and the service was prompt. Nice atmosphere too, casual and welcoming.
Fantastic experience and absolutely amazing food! Carla our server did an incredible job recommending certain options. We tried pita falafel sandwich, Mahmara dip with chips and then gluten free chcolate mousse along with handmade baklava for desserts. Great food and authentic food, we will be back for sure!!
We celebrated my friend's birthday at this OH location. Their menu is the same as at the Palo Alto restaurant. Unfortunately they had black olives, not green ones which are much tastier with the pickles. Order a combo of small plates and appetizers 2 for $12 or 3 for $15. The rice bowl with veggies was good, however I would prefer more mushrooms on it. We liked that they substituted the pita with cut veggies for the hummus dip. Our server was very nice and helpful, chatty and polite.
Oren’s Hummus on Castro Street is a gem for Mediterranean food lovers! The hummus here is incredibly creamy and flavorful, served with warm, fluffy pita that’s perfect for dipping. They have a great selection of fresh salads, grilled meats, and veggie options, making it easy to find something for everyone. The casual, welcoming atmosphere and friendly staff add to the overall experience, making it a fantastic spot for a quick bite or a relaxed meal. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the Castro area!
a month ago, I told a friend I’m not a fan of hummus, but this completely changed my mind 😩 Oren’s Hummus was the first place my friend took me to after I landed in the bay area! I didn’t have much expectation since it was my first time trying Israeli, but I’ve literally been DREAMING about it since then 😋🍽️ the outdoor seating in downtown mountain view makes it THE location for a cute, casual lunch date ☀️⛱️ the hummus was so creamy and goes perfectly with the pita bread and fries! it needs to expand beyond the bay area!!! what we’ve ordered (very filling for two!): 🥗 comes with salad! (refreshing starter) 🥣 hummus (comes with the softest, fluffiest pita bread, so much comfort in the yumminess) 🍟 garlic fries (5/5! perfect thickness, and the warm fries goes really well with the hummus) 🍸seasonal raspberry lemonade (3.5/5 minty, cold, and refreshing—not too sweet, but also not very special 👀)
Ordered two bowls: 1. Hummus Chicken - It was good. It felt may be some pieces were a bit dry but overall it was good. 4.8/5 2. Hummus Lamb - This was delicious. The meat was tender and tasty. Very well marinated. 5/5 Both bowls comes with Pita plate each. One plate has two pita’s. Got the whole wheat pita Before ordering our food we got a tiny plate of pickled salad.

LOVE LOVE LOVE their hummus and pita!! Oren's hummus always hits the spot. The chicken skewers and the lamb and beef skewers are always grilled to perfection. Service is always nice too.

Trying this place after 10 years. The quality has gone down compared to our last experience. The spring roll was good but the sauce could have been better. It was too salty that it overwhelmed other tastes. Pineapple fried rice was good you can’t go wrong with it. Green curry was delicious. I think this was the only place that I could find spicy Thai curry. Overall, good meal, but kinda overpriced.
We have eaten here for years and this is the first time at the new location. This place is half the size of the old location that was across the street. The food is still very good. Mango cashew chicken is a family favorite. Service has room for improvement. They dropped stacks of plates on the center of our table and had us place them, dropped 4 glasses and left at the side of the table, and brought the wrong appetizer by accident, We will still return and hope service is better next time.
The food was delicious I enjoyed the green curry I ordered and the pan-fried noodles. Service: The server was also really attentive to our friends’ nut allergy so I appreciated how they went back to check if the dishes were nut-free. The service can be slow also. We waited a while for our food and they almost missed the last dish we ordered, so expect to wait after you order. Restaurant: The restaurant has plenty of seatings. They have Thai decorations on the wall which is nice to see. It also looks like they have the tables where you sit on the floor, but those were closed when we came. Parking: Parking around downtown Mountain View’s not bad. We just parked in one of the lots nearby.
The food was really delicious but I am giving four stars because they gave us small dish and it was hard for us to eat in small dish. Apart from this the overall quality of food was awesome and the service was also good. Along with it they also helped us by keeping the cake in refrigerator as went to celebrate one of friends birthday. Fried rice , spring roll, pranthey and chutney and special salad was too good but the quantity was less as per price. I am definitely going there again!!
A great Thai place to eat with friends! The Tom ka soup is pretty good! I ordered with seafood. Curry is a bit salty but I guess you need to eat it with lots of rices, crab fried rice is my favorite! I had it twice but first time is better than second I guess. Still enjoyable
Came for lunch. Tried to skip carb and eat healthier and asked if I can have veggie as replacement. The waitress was flexible and agreed to change it without extra charge. Food came fast. My soup was delicious, although the replaced bean sprouts were scanty. Can't ask for more when they were nice enough to modify for you. Basil chicken and yellow curry chicken were both tasty. Yet the papaya salad was unbearably sour and tasted terrible, it also had fishy smell. I've never had papaya salad this bad. The recipe was a disaster. Service was very nice. Staff was polite and attentive. Would probably come back to try other dishes.
Good authentic Thai food. Friendly staff. Nice ambience. A bit pricey but well worth the tasty fare they serve. Some tables offer great view of the street and you watch the world stroll by.
All of the main entrees are great. Things felt overpriced though. The people were kind and the area around the business felt safe and lively. There's even a parking garage right behind the store. Everybody else seemed to like their food, I only had one demerit. The sweet potato fries were great, so was the chicken, but the rice was a bit hard. I will say the labneh was very tasty too. Other than that the place didn't really leave a lasting impression on me. It's a fine place. Nothing more, nothing less.
The hummus tasted great, so did the Pita bread. The Pita was very filling and felt fresh. I took the chicken skewer plate With felafel and hummus. The chicken was tasty but less of quantity. The vegetarian pita sandwich also tastes great. Next time i am probably going to try something rice based. For the quantity you get, the price seemed too high, at least when i compare the 4 pieces of grilled chicken plate.
Went here for the experience. I'm not used to Mediterranean food so I do not know what to expect. The pita bread and hummus were definitely winners. The pita bread was served hot and very soft. Smells good, too. The hummus is so finely ground that I have not seen anything like it from groceries. I went for the rice bowl with beef kebab. The rice is ok but the beef is dry and a bit salty. The Greek salad is ok with the olives standing out as great. I am not sure if my tounge will acclimate to the taste but I am glad I tried. However, it ended up a bit pricey for me. The staff are nice and service was great so overall, my dining experience was nice.
Liked this place that has a long list of different hummus dishes. I've never seen anything like it. The servings are also pretty hefty so be sure to come in to share your food. There was also a deal during Wednesdays on wine at half price and we took that too. The servers were polite and helpful in giving suggestions and always smile. I recommend this place to folks looking for good hummus and more.
We got food togo and not sure what but seems like it has gone down in taste. Pita bread was dry and tough. Chicken plate was also dry and weirdly spiced. Hummus was just so so, somewhat mediocre. Pri…

Good authentic food mostly, curry etc a bit over seasoned . Also note that extra sauce for ROTI seems like an extra charge of $7. Also the bill was given to me without showing the specific price for each item. Just wishing more honesty on this. The point is mostly deducted for this.
They asked me if it was our first time there. I answered yes. We ordered our food, but wasn't asked if we wanted any condiments. I didn't realize it until I saw them giving people condiments and we were already done with our food. They never asked us how we were doing or if everything was ok. They didn't even ask if we wanted to order another beer. They also did not say thank you or offer us to come back. I'm big on customer service. I was disappointed and I don't think we will be coming back here because of the service.
Good service & atmosphere. Falafel was really great & spicy sauces on tables are really good & actual spicy. There were more take out orders than dine in guest on a friday night. They gave a very nice complimentary small salad to start us with which was delicious. Food we ordered was ok, not something super tasty that i will come back for. We ordered a Falafel pita & rice bowl. I expected a little more from Rice Bowl, was not upto my liking. I have had better rice bowls elsewhere. Less ingredients in general. Falafel pita was as expected & can be recommended. Overall good to try & see if you find something awesome.

I love Orens Hummus in Palo\nAlto. I buy this amazing israeli style which has tahini on the top. The same hummus in Mountain view location is disgusting, robbery and no near the one in Palo\nAlto. …
Food lacked flavor. Chicken satay and papaya salad was good. Fresh rolls and crab fried rice were average at best. Pranag chicken curry was the worst. Had big chunks of chicken with two three pieces of bell pepper. Curry was tasteless and whole dish looked unappetizing. Won’t be visiting again
Unfortunately service fell far short of even decent. Both waiters were rude and short with a 10+ minute delay to take our order and 30+ minutes to receive food. Drink refills were nonexistent. When it came time to pay the bill, we were told when we were given the check that the bill could only be split two ways. There were 6 of us that sat down and we informed the waiter we would all be separate checks and there was nothing said. We paid via handheld PoS system which could easily separate the checks. I understand it takes a few more minutes of the waiter’s time to split the checks, but that is compensated by mandatory pay and optional tips. On the positive side, the food was fantastic, with great taste and really solid portions. This unfortunately does not overcome the service issues. With all the other options in Mountain View, I would look elsewhere.
Honey, I was so excited to try this place but what a disappointment. The hummus was absolutely tragic - tasted like it came straight from a grocery store container with zero flavor or freshness. Not the creamy dreamy Mediterranean experience I was hoping for at all. The pita bread was drier than my sense of humor after a long day. Literally crumbled in my hands before I could even dip it. And for the prices they’re charging? Baby, no. The service was fine I guess but when the food is this basic there’s really nothing that can save the experience. There are so many better Middle Eastern spots in this city that actually know how to make proper hummus. Save your coins darling and go literally anywhere else.
