The doughnuts here are amazing to say the least. They offer also exciting flavors and the prices is just okay. I highly recommend this place.

I love Happy's Donut Tree! When I was in high school in the 80s, I used to go there almost every day. And it's still in business! It's a kinda old timey donut shop, they're super nice and have the best donuts in Napa! They are cash only, and are popular, so stuff can sell out if you don't go early. They will also do special orders if you call at least one day in advance.

I rarely give 5 stars. This place has the absolute perfect donut: crunchy exterior, pillowy soft interior and real flavors that taste different! Our family loves the maple glaze donuts, chocolate donuts, and apple fritters.

I love this place! The owner is always so friendly and always smiling. Their donuts are so, so good. My favorite has always been glazed donuts and I would get them anywhere, but after having tasted hers, I don't get them anywhere else!

I called for a last minute order for my work. I thought it was a long shot since I needed 7 dozen donuts. Nope! She had them all packaged up in half and hour. All kinds of yummy flavors and colors. Great tasting!

These are classic donuts - just a good variety of old-fashioned styles done extremely well, baked to perfection with care. I've both dropped in for a couple of donuts for myself to satisfy a craving (which they most certainly will) and stopped by before work on several occasions to pick up a couple dozen to share. The quality is so consistent, and the pricing is super fair (barely more than chain shops). The only drawback is the cash-only policy, but they're clear about that, so I can't consider that a true negative. I'm sure it's part of what keeps their prices so low. Obviously, I love this place and highly recommend you give it a try. Just one donut and you'll be in love.

There are two donut bakeries in napa valley, Buttercream and Happy's Donut Tree. While Buttercream may be more well known it is not the better bakery. Happy's Donut Tree donuts are definitely 5 stars in my book, the donuts are fluffy and the outer layer of dough is crisp and the glazes are not too sweet. If you dislike the sickeningly sweet donuts of Raley's, Safeway, and to a lesser extent Buttercream, then you might enjoy the donuts served here. They also serve unique buttermilk donuts which look like biscuits covered in glaze but taste like a crunchy donut but with much more fluff inside the crunch than an old fashioned donut. However there are some downsides to Happy's Donut Tree. First of all the bakery only accepts cash payments, which is a big pain if you have switched to mainly electronic payments like me. While I have not tried their basic coffee I had the displeasure of purchasing their "Cappuccino" in the past. The Cappuccino was made more like a mocha, except they used automated coffee /hot chocolate dispenser to make it. The abomination was made by dispensing equal parts basic coffee and hot chocolate. It tasted like ass. If they worked on making their donut shop's coffee better, and maybe made it more of a cafe, it would be a definite 5 stars in my book.

Tasty donuts at an affordable price. However they do not have a wide variety of donuts. If you are looking for your basic donuts/cinnamon rolls/etc this is a decent place to go. There is seating inside if you want to enjoy your donuts there. Ample parking available in the plaza.

The best being when I was asked if I wanted it dipped in maple or chocolate and got to see the lady do it. Fun stuff. These are traditional donuts not fancy but if you go fairly early you can get them fresh with a little crunch still in them

Donuts are great, IF you can get there earlier enough. They do NOT make a lot so if you want something OTHER than plane regular donuts, get there in the mornings....

I’d love to be able to give a taste review however, sadly our 3rd time trying to visit this place since relocating here and everytime they are closed significantly before listed closing time. Today I got there 35 mins before listed closing and already saw the doors being locked and open sign turned off. Now I know from review I wouldn’t have even been able to buy anything as they are CASH ONLY establishment! So there’s that… operations is right up there with experience so for that alone it’s disheartening. Hope they are very tasty for the trouble one goes through.

I can actually squeeze the donut and it drips oil. I don't think the fryer is hot enough when they put the donuts in. I never buy a dozen at once again.. It's just to expensive to chance. Very sweet family and great service. Wish they would take card even if it's at the expense of the customer.

Loads of parking usually. I’ve had better generic local donuts in other towns, but for Napa, this is your best bet for a generic American donut. I feel the price is a tad high for the quality. Nice folks though!

I want to love this place sooo much. The prices are good and there is a large variety. Yet I've noticed the few times I've ordered doughnuts, they're saturated in oil. I gave it another go this morning and had a apple fritter. The entire doughnut was just full of oil. So much oil that it leaves a residue on your lips and hands. The flavor is there , just way too saturated.
