Proper Chophouse

We finally got a chance to visit. The prime rib was delicious and the Proper Burger was cooked to perfection! Our server Ryan was great! The portion size was bigger than expected so definitely come hungry! We order the wagu meatball, two entrees and two sides and had plenty for another meal! Would definitely recommend checking the place out if you’re in the area!

Had dinner here with a party of 9. My salmon was reasonably sized and delicious. Others at the table had burgers, pork chops, and salads and all loved their meals. Drinks were fantastic. I had an old fashioned with Angel's Envy bourbon and it was well made. Others were happy with their drinks. Our server Ashley was great. She was very friendly and catered to our every whim. Atmosphere was very pleasant too. Food may have been a tad overpriced but the atmosphere and staff totally made up for it.

Wonderful service, Ryan was a fabulous waiter! The oysters were clean, our steaks were cooked perfectly and the drinks were great! Ambiance was very nice too! Perfect dinner all around 😋

Tonight we celebrated my husband’s birthday and we were very pleased from start to finish. Our waiter, Charles, was attentive, knowledgeable about Fine Dining and did not rush us. First off their delectable rolls arrived warm with 2 types of butter-the citron butter was quite tasty-but we were careful to not indulge too much (because you can). The Lambchop Lolli Pops did not disappoint-every bite was scrumptious. The Caesar Salad was over the top-icy cold and excellent croutons & enough for 3 seriously! Main course: 8 oz filet & brick chicken both quite yummy. The mashed potatoes were super creamy & herbed asparagus were perfect. It’s Fine Dining at its best!

Husband made reservations and we were seated upon arrival at 6pm. Ordered the seafood tower for 2 and ribeye steak with Brussels sprouts and fries as side dishes. Everything was delicious..steak cooked perfectly at medium. Seafood tower had oysters, clams, two crab legs, spoon of caviar, kimchi in a sauce dish and shrimp cocktail.

Absolutely love this place and tonight is our 3rd visit in the last several weeks. Always a great experience and this place is 5 stars in my book 👍👍

Super spot! Don't drive to Boston - great food, friendly staff, clean bathrooms - all right here. And pool, shuffle board, on the house - can't go wrong! Highly recommend!

I heard poor reviews when they opened, but when my wife and I went there (on March 25), the food was terrific, and the service was 8/10. They can get extremely busy, and it's known to affect quality; however, it is a casino steakhouse; what do you expect?

Have yet to have a bad steak!!

Amazing service!

I normally don’t make a review but I feel the need to make a review tonight. My wife and I went with our friends for dinner and had an amazing meal and experience. Tony, who is the manager, came over to our table multiple times to check on our food and if anything was needed. Our server Ryan did an excellent job taking our orders, checking on us, and getting anything we needed. In addition I o this, our food was amazing and I would compare it to any steak house. I plan on coming back and I advise anyone looking to eat at a steak house to come to the Proper Chophouse.

Amazing service, Ambiance and food! I was pleasantly surprised to see Tony managing the floor here, who previously worked at The Capital Grille. He’s a great addition. Also Ryan, our server was fantastic and very professional. Ignore any and all sub par reviews, this place is top notch.

We did a 40th bday girls dinner and surprised that they put us in the private wine room. Service was great, Charles our server was great and entertaining and the manager Brian checked up on us a few times and super nice and fun. It wasn’t a stuffy atmosphere and food and pricing was great! We never felt rushed and they accommodated our request to share everything. Drinks were great!

A friend of mine recommended this place and my husband and I decided to check it out and loved everything about it . The atmosphere, the food and and the service were outstanding. Ryan our server was very professional and attentive. Brian the sommelier, was also very friendly and attentive. They both made sure we were having a good time from the beginning to the end . I highly recommend this place . This was our date night and exceeded all our expectations. We’ll definitely come back . We were very happy and satisfied.

Decent place for dinner. I mean; I wanted to give 5 stars, but it’s just not comparable to other expensive steakhouses. The atmosphere and service is good, although it’s always freezing in there each time we go.

My wagu steak was overly salty, couldn’t finish it. You could see hunks of salt on it . Husbands prime rib was great- our server Ryan was excellent! Would recommend to friends and will return I do wish they had a separate entrance for the restaurant , walking through the casino isn’t nice 🙃

Need reservations for Valentine's Day and we are not disappointed. Our server Ashley was fantastic.

Tried the new Proper Chophouse and left feeling underwhelmed.The space is nice and the service was friendly, but unfortunately, the food didn’t quite live up to the hype. We sampled a good portion of the menu. Steak was cooked to temp but overly salty. Appetizers were hit or miss: the calamari tasted like it may have been frozen, oysters were watery, and the ranch chop salad came out with wilted lettuce and soggy textures. The wagyu meatballs were probably the highlight...flavorful and tender. As for drinks, the s’mores martini was a letdown. It wasn’t even filled to the top, overly sugary, and barely tasted like it had any alcohol. I ended up sending it back. Hoping they work out the kinks as they get more established. I ordered the ribeye which was cooked medium rare as requested the asparagus crab sauce was a bit salty. My wife ordered the salted baked potato and lobster bisque. The potato was good but the bisque was awful. The service was slow and we had no choice but to sit at the bar when there was plenty of dining room seating available. The hostess was not very pleasant and Unaccommodating when we asked for dining room seating. The bartender was very pleasant. Both of us ended up with upset stomach’s after we ate we think it was the bisque because that was the only thing we shared.

My partner and I made reservations in advanced due to the restaurant always being so busy! We were originally sat at a table near the front, and we were surrounded by drunk people who couldn’t stop yelling, so we asked to move. We were moved to the back and it was a much nicer experience due to this. Unfortunately, their service could really use some help. We kept having to ask other waiters/waitresses for things, and then our waitress, Kendra, would finally come around. There was a big table in front of us, and it’s as if she almost forgot that we were here. Overall, the food was good but the service was terrible. Probably won’t come back.

Wait times can be crazy when there's tons of seats open they will actually make you come back 1-2 hrs later (happened twice to us) service isn't the best and also the front end staff does not have their act together as well. same goes for their management makes me feel bad for servers

I made a reservation to take my sister for a birthday dinner at, what I assumed was a high end steak restaurant. I told her to order whatever she wanted so she ordered the filet mignon and I ordered the queen cut prime rib. After waiting a full hour, the food finally arrived. She said her filet was good. I have never had a worse cut of beef. It was cold, not a little warm, completely cold. It was dry, tough, and I ordered it cooked medium and it arrived well done. It took an hour to get our food, was it just sitting somewhere for an hour to be that cold?? I didn’t dare send it back because we probably would have had to wait another hour. We also ordered two sides to share; the brussel sprouts and the Mac and cheese. Brussel sprouts were SO salty I couldn’t eat more than three bites. Mac and cheese was just ok. $200 including tip, the waitress was a doll and she deserved a good tip, Needless to say we will not be going back.

They switched chefs and the last one was much better. I eat frequently. Caesar salad had mayo and no flavor. No anchovy paste, no lemon, no garlic. The lobster bisque was broth with some lobster meat. No cream or butter. The coconut cake was tasteless and came with a gluey side thing I was told was a marscapone thing? Yuck. Plus, I eat there weekly and Dave the bartender just will not serve me. I am coming from work in office clothes so cannot figure out why. Once again, I asked the nice patron next to me to order for me. Embarrassing as I was celebrating my son's job interview.

We have been several times wanting as lovely an experience as the first. However each time we have gone, the food seems worse than the last. The bottles of wine in the menu are never available. The wagyu has either been overdone or way too salted. (I have never returned it. Dog loved it). But the lack of experienced service boggles us. They want to try and be a del frisco / capital grille / hanover, but honestly they aren’t more than a step above an Outback. I can’t justify subpar service and spend $100 on a just a steak and Martini, wait 20 minutes after service to have our plates cleared, asked if wanted something else (and we tried to order after dinner drinks) then crickets. We have gone for the convenience of proximity but it’s too disappointing to ever try again.

Had an amazing time at the casino itself. Won some money and decided to go have dinner at the Proper chophouse. My husband order pork chop and was great. I had order medium rare steak and king crab but was so dry and tough. I felt like I was chewing on tires. The manager came and ask how the food was and I express my thoughts and she just shrug and said “oh well maybe put more butter on it “ and walk away. I was not asking for a refund but the fact that she ask but disregard my feelings was so rude!!! I would not want to go back with that attitude!

Over seasoned steak, undercooked white fat on the ribeye (even though it was ordered medium rare) Underwhelming apps. Even without drinks, the meal still came out to over $120 per person! Wasn’t bad food by any means... but felt more like a national chain steakhouse (or even a fast-casual spot) versus a high end "chophouse". At their prices, I expect perfection.

The 24oz porterhouse was the worst steak I have ever had, wasn’t cooked properly and had no flavor, the mashed potatoes taste fake, the calamari was burnt, the prime rib looked like it just came out of a microwave. There are high end steakhouses and this one is a fake.

Tried calling them three times to change a reservation. Never picked up and did not return my message. Do not bring teens without a drive’s license because they will not let them through the casino to go to the restaurant. Hoping to celebrate a special celebration there, had family come from out of town and had to go somewhere else. VERY DISAPPOINTED!

Worst restaurant I’ve been at in a long long time. Steak was undercooked,sauce was terrible, Brussel sprouts were burnt, and you needed a hammer to get through the crust of the crème brulee. This place deserves Mcdonalds prices cause it’s absolutely terrible

Everything was dreadfully dry and overly saturated with salt. steak was tough... carrots with very mushy... avoid this place at all cost. and all that for $130 a person

Basically, the food is like the Outback, only with a tablecloth.
