Buscamos un lugar donde cenar y encontramos este restaurante de casualidad. Es elegante, con un servicio exquisito y una carta que aún que corta es excelente. El pescado es fresco, la presentación es original y divertida, el sabor del mar en cada bocado se hace palpable. Las milojas de lenguado están exquisitas, el atún rojo es como comerlo directamente del brcoy, recién pescado. El rape con las salas que trae, se hace muy jugoso y sabroso. Los postres son una delicatessen. Los entrantes, piruletas de queso cheddar, original y bueno. La mantequilla de aceitunas negras, con un sabor impresionante. Una cena con un entrante, pan, vino rosado de la casa, dos platos principales y postre, 99€, un precio muy bueno para la calidad que se obtiene.
¡Qué bueno todo! Si me tuviera que quedar con un plato, es difícil pero, sería la merluza a la sal.
Fuimos para cenar y pedimos el menú degustación. Fue una pasada,estaba todo buenísimo y todo muy buen cuidado. El ritmo entre platos medido al milímetro. Repetiremos,sin duda.
Si estás en Nerja este lugar merece la visita. Está todo buenísimo, el trato del personal es una maravilla, los platos muy creativos. Una joya gastronómica en el corazón de Nerja. La mantequilla especial con trufa, presentada de forma artística como si fuera una pequeña planta en su maceta, con el pan artesano, fue el inicio perfecto. La crema de champiñones que sirven es, sencillamente, exquisita; una textura sedosa con un sabor profundo que reconforta el paladar. El Rodaballo cocinado en su punto exacto, con una guarnición cuidada y una presentación que da pena romper, pero que invita a disfrutar de cada bocado. Se nota la frescura del producto y la maestría en los fogones. Lo que realmente hace memorable a este lugar, más allá de la comida, es su atmósfera. Es un espacio sumamente agradable y tranquilo, ideal para quienes huyen del bullicio y buscan disfrutar de una buena conversación. Mención especial merece el servicio: insuperable. El personal es atento sin ser invasivo, conocedor de cada plato y con una amabilidad que te hace sentir muy bien.
Un lugar que te reconcilia con la comida y con la vida. El menú degustación es una experiencia redonda: cada plato sorprende sin intentar ser pretencioso, combinando técnica y sabor con una naturalidad que se nota solo en los sitios donde se cocina con pasión. Los tiempos entre pases son perfectos, el servicio es atento sin agobiar. El ambiente es cálido, íntimo y con ese punto justo de elegancia que no te hace sentir fuera de lugar. Salí con la sensación de haber vivido algo más que un almuerzo: una pequeña celebración del gusto. Volvería sin dudarlo.
¡Para repetir! Una experiencia inolvidable. Un sábado noche pillamos una mesa de dos de milagro. El restaurante lo encontramos entre los recomendados en Nerja. Nos trajeron de bienvenida un queso de cabra buenísimo y una mantequilla salada muy curiosa que nos sorprendió por su sabor. Empezamos a pedir según nuestras preferencias pero el camarero nos explicó y nos sugirió recomendaciones y platos estrellas como gambas y el tartar con sandía y le hicimos caso. También pedimos dos platos principales de carne: pluma y lomo madurado que nos encantaron. La atención del personal en general fue muy buena, conocimos a la dueña, incluso le hicimos nuestras recomendaciones, como que para tarar vendría bien algún cracker ( así nos gusta a nosotros, entendemos que el restaurante tiene sus ideas ) La dueña es atenta a cada detalle, queremos destacar eso. Muy recomendable
Comida muy buena y elaborada en pleno centro de Nerja, la atención de Jon y de Kin en sala estupenda.
Gran experiencia gastronómica acompañada de un buen personal de sala, las dos chicas muy pendientes de todo y muy seguras con su actitud, personas comprometidas con su trabajo, lo que te hace estar bien en todo momento, hemos pedido el menú degustación ya que nos gusta este tipo de cocina muy elaborada y diferente a lo que se come en el día a día, la cual no todo el mundo sabe valorar y disfrutar… nos encanta el honor que se le hace al aceite de oliva porque no merece menos este productazo de nuestra Andalucía. En resumen, muchos detalles que marcan la diferencia con otros lugares y que es digno de mencionar por el trabajo que hay detrás, además de una limpieza absoluta y una decoración preciosa. Maridaje muy extenso (aunque nosotros no hayamos pedido vino) para acompañar cualquier plato y además las chicas aconsejan muy bien. Un puntazo el caramelo y la gominola de aceite de oliva. Volveremos si venimos por Nerja para probar platos de carta, enhorabuena al equipo de cocina y de sala.
Un restaurante pequeño, coqueto y acogedor. Su cocina mediterránea creativa es fabulosa, mucho sabor y texturas, carta de vinos muy atractiva y el servicio muy amable y atento, sin duda uno de mis favoritos

GENIAL Mes de Abril. Menú degustación. A pesar de reservar dentro, nos han puesto en terraza sin problema. Bueniiiiiiísimo Muy bien de cantidad. Preciosos y muy sabrosos todos los platos. Nunca habría pedido la presa ibérica y me ha encantado. Todo riquísimo. El servicio fenomenal Preciosa tarjeta!
Un restaurante sublime en todos los sentidos, donde se ponen a prueba tus sentidos, para experimentar las exquisitas elaboraciones culinarias de uno de los mejores restaurantes en los que he estado, un servicio y una atención excelente cuidada al máximo.

Sitio muy agradable para comer en Nerja, la comida esta muy bien, para destacar el carpaccio de atún (está realmente bueno) y los pescados, el servicio muy atento y amable, tienes entreplatos muy particulares (la primera vez que pruebo la flor de regaliz). Cosas a mejorar, el servicio después de los entrantes y después del principal un poco lentos (supongo que es porque solo estaban dos camareros), y en mi caso, el solomillo estaba frío (y el cordero también), por lo demás todo estupendo. El coulant y las trufas muy buenos. En general merece la pena parar y comer aquí, cocina muy original. Lo único el vino muy caro para el público español.
Excelente cocina, producto de calidad y de la tierra, con muy buen trabajo con las texturas y los sabores; el pescado sabe a pescado y las carnes están muy bien elaboradas, en una carta perfectamente dimensionada. Existe la posibilidad de escoger menú degustación con o sin maridaje. Raciones con la cantidad adecuada para acabar la comida satisfecho, pero no empachado. Buena bodega, con buena selección de vinos y champagnes; la cava del local es bonita y original. Servicio atento, educado, proximo y muy amable y profesional. Ubicación excelente, en la plaza del ayuntamiento y a 3 minutos del Balcón de Europa, evitando el jaleo de la zona. Se puede comer en sala o en la terraza; el ambiente interior es muy acogedor. Precio acorde con el servicio, pero sin dispararse ni mucho menos. Para repetir, sin dudarlo, y para escoger como una de las mejores ofertas gastronómicas de Nerja, aunque no ofrezcan las vistas al mar de otros restaurantes, mucho menos agraciados en el aspecto gastronómico.

Se come muy bien, los platos muy bien presentados y el sabor especial. La atención en general ha sido muy amable pero en especial la mujer que nos ha atendido durante toda la cena, una mujer con pelo corto como gris, ha sido muy amable y muy simpática. Volveremos sin duda !!
Fuimos a Nerja a conocerlo por qué estábamos por la zona y llevábamos mucho tiempo con ganas de ir y como no, ha hacernos la foto en el barco de chanquete de la serie Verano Azul 😉. Decidimos quedarnos a comer en la zona, miramos en internet y vimos muy buenas opiniones sobre este sitio, y además tenía una mención Michelin por tanto decidimos ir. La sorpresa fue muy satisfactoria, ya que nos encantan los menús de degustación y aquí tienen uno de 56€ y decidimos probarlo, todo un acierto! La camarera que nos atendió, nos explicó todo perfectamente y fue súper agradable, bueno todos en general, pero está en concreto Todos los platos nos encantaron, nos nos quedamos ni con hambre ni llenos, en el punto exacto, por lo tanto es un menú muy equilibrado. En resumen, totalmente recomendable y seguro que cuando volvamos a Nerja, que volveremos porque nos hemos enamorado del pueblo, iremos de nuevo a comer .
Went with spouse for the the first time last night. Had 6 course tasting menu. Excellent choice! We were happy to get a table outside in their tastefully done cordoned-off section. From the brief glimpse I got the inside seating looked chic too. Service was very good too, timely courteous and knowledgeable. The food: there’s a reason this place is on the Michelin guide judging by the tasting menu. The starters/amouse bouche (sp?) were subtly flavored: emulsions of olives, raw cheese from the north encased jn white chocolate, sheep’s butter with black olive empanade, mussel escabeche with kimchi+beer mayo. An escabeche course of fish similar to mackerel, a sea bass course with jamon emulsion and mint foam, a meat course. But the standout was their langostino wrapped in thin rice noodles served in foie gras sauce: heavenly! Finally a dessert of coconut ice cream and mango pancetta. Oh and the wine pairings for additional €35: fantastic add-on. The mostly white wines primarily ganache and from around Malaga and the single red and the apple cider finale are were so good we had to take pics of their bottles to order later on. Our bill for two was €202. A well-spent dining experience for a special date night. Ps: they have a la carte menu too ranging between €18-20 for starters and €25-33 for mains.
Excellent restaurant and impeccable service. We both chose the 9 course set menu with the additional wine pairing. The food was well carefully presented and the ingredients and array of tastes made the evening a creative experience with great conversation with our servers. The wine pairing started with champagne and had 5 paired local regional Spanish white wines with various courses. The portions were perfectly sized so you never felt too full but very satisfied. Highly recommend this elegant Michelin rated restaurant overlooking Plaza de España in Nerja.
We had lunch here and it was 11/10! The steak with foie gras and truffle was delicious, and the coulant de turrón dessert was the perfect finish. Great food, atmosphere and professional staff - totally worth it! 🍷

Best restaurant in Nerja by a mile! I had two wonderful lunches there once trying the tasting menu (go with this) and normal menu (also food but not the best value) my server I think was from S Africa or Oz was awesome ! Super knowledgeable and kind, the food was wonderful each bite bursting with flavor and creativity. Hats off to the chef for using their skills with all ingredients available to them. The world needs more restaurants like this one! If you’re within at least an hour drive you must come here! Don’t be scared by it being city center (parking wise) there is an under ground park place as it’s next to a museum! 7 stars

Great recommendation by our local Spanish friend. We really enjoyed our lunch here. They did clever amuse-bouche bites. Make sure you get their crunch shrimp starter! The 2 seafood dishes (both fish) were the single 2 best prepared filets I’ve had in a very long time. We were most pleased with this formal lunch. Oh - and the olive butter is to die for.

Fine dining isn’t something you may consider when in Nerja for some winter sun. It’s probably a toss up between Sollun and Oliva for the town’s best tasting menu style meal, and as Sollun was closed for holidays we punted for Oliva. We went for the €65 tasting menu and the €25 wine pairing (yes that’s €25 for 6 glasses of wine). The food was amazing, pretty surprisingly so. We were given 3 appetisers, a palate cleansing sorbet between plates of fish and meat, and finished with a brilliant dessert. The service was amazing, too, professional without being snobby and really took their time to explain each dish and wine. And the wine, it’s all interesting Spanish wine much of which we hadn’t heard of before, and was paired brilliantly. It’s not a cheap meal but amazing value for money for a special occasion.
An excellent eating experience. If you go to Nerja and you enjoy top-class food, then this restaurant is a must go to. The service was exemplary, attentive, and polite. The eating areas are spacious and well presented. The food was as good as any high end London restaurant. The prices are exceptional value for money considering the standard of culinary excellence. Highly recommended.
Best meal in Nerja. Outstanding service and deliciously presented food. From the Caprese cappuccino to the beef carpaccio and the steaks, each dish was thoughtfully curated to appease even the most tough food critic. Absolutely recommend for a memorable meal.
Outstanding meal (tasting menu and wine pairing). Every dish had our mouths watering. The timing between courses was perfect, the staff were very professional and service was on point. Better than some Michelin Star restaurants we have been to and great value for the quality of the experience. Cannot wait to return in September for our Wedding meal! If you want a special meal or celebration then this is your place.
The food is great, the portions are set so you can eat multiple courses without feeling stuffed, so just a main course might not be enough. The food is beautifuly presented and tastes just as good, I would definitely recommend the Fillet steak. The service was professional and organized, and without unwanted interruptions. Nothing to complain about here. The atmosphere is nice, you sit right next to a big open area with other stores around. Lots of space between the tables, so you don't feel like you're sitting up against someone.
Very nice experience. We had the tasting menu which was very interesting and contained one surplice after the other. I would recommend getting the wine paring menu with the tasting menu. The staff was also very nice polite and attentive. Remember to book in advance if you wish a table 😊 One last thing, the dessert I had this day is the best dessert I have ever had YUMMY
Oliva keeps getting better! A culinary experience which keeps growing on me every time. Very professional competent and attentive staff and generally great service. Go for a menu with wine pairing. You can't go wrong!

Fantastic meal for the 31/01. A certain price but well worth the excellent meal and service. We chose the tasting menu which was accompanied by different wines.

Es un restaurante con muy buena ubicación, en plena plaza españa pero gracias a los biombos parece un sitio intimo. Fuimos a cenar el menu de degustacion y la verdad que nos encantaron todos los entrantes. La ligera decepción fueron los platos principales, lubina, tanto la presentación como el sabor un poco bastas. La carne era un poco dura y el trigo resultó muy seco a falta de alguna salsa. El postre ha sido muy ligero y fresquito, ideal para verano. Mi mayor pega es el servicio ya que para restaurante de gama medio alta fue poco atento y caótico.
Menú degustación muy, muy rico , completo y variado. Servicio súper bueno, lugar acogedor. Platos originales y sabrosos! Merece la pena visitar este restaurante. Muy buena ubicación. Destacamos los langostinos con sala de foie y el ajoblanco. El pato también está increíble. Esperamos poder volver.
Very lovley staff and food here but I was a bit shocked when they dint have chips because that would be the number 1 side . Very good staff . Very nice and peaceful . Steak is always good but a tad bit flavour less sometimes over all very nice
My parents and I had the tasting menu today. The presentation was great, some elements on the plates like the little pearls had no taste and some that gave the plate crunch either. We were seated before another table, but got severed after and took a while even though they weren't that busy. Also baring in mind it's a michelllin star restaurant, you'd think the bread would be warm and have a maitredi at the door but no. Overall it was a nice meal, however some things good be improved.

Buena comida, pero un servicio nefasto, si pides el menú de degustación, en principio no sabes lo que te van a servir, ha sido una comida de larga espera entre un plato y otro, no repetiria.
Joyless Food We have visited Oliva on seven or eight occasions over the past three years. Every meal we’ve had was a five star experience, unmatched by any other restaurant we’ve dined at in Spain. Sadly, our latest experience was far from five star. My wife’s starter of bluefin tuna was so small she could have scooped up the entire dish with one dessert spoon, devoid of flavour and uninspiring. For 20 euros, guests deserve much better this. My starter of steak tartar was generous and the steak element itself was delicious. For reasons best known to him, the chef decided to ruin the dish by placing a hard, cured egg yolk in the centre rather than the runny yolk that makes this dish so luxuriant. The cured yolk was utterly tasteless with the texture of discarded chewing gum. Why any chef would choose to remove the centre piece runny yolk from a tartar is beyond me. It is unforgivable madness. We have always enjoyed fabulous fillet steaks at Oliva so, unsurprisingly, we ordered the same dish on this occasion. Previous fillets we have enjoyed have been served with beautifully prepared potato gratins with superb sauces and vegetable medleys. Last night’s rendition was laughable. A beautiful fillet was served on a slice of brioche with a slither of froi gras on top (what on earth a duck liver was doing on the plate we had no idea). We searched for potato and vegetables but found none. We searched for a sauce and found a small puddle in a remote corner of the plate. The bread on which this fine cut of beef was sitting had absorbed all of the moisture from the meat and was dry. We asked for potatoes and were offered a choice of chips or mashed potato. We opted for the chips. The chips, which had clearly come out of a packet in the freezer, arrived in a steel basket with a jar of ketchup and mayonnaise! We had to pinch ourselves and tried to remember that Oliva is supposed to be a fine dining restaurant, not a burger bar! We commented that if we had wanted beef served on brioche and chips on the side with ketchup and mayonnaise, we would have gone to Burger King – at least we would have got the other half of the brioche bun! The chef clearly hates vegetables, every dish we saw emerge from the kitchen was devoid of any kind of vegetable. Talk about an unbalanced menu – welcome to Oliva’s Protein Hell! This is poor cooking, with ill-conceived dishes, poorly executed. Apart from the usual superb service from the front of house staff, this was a miserable experience of forgettable food. We will return, but only because we know that Oliva can produce truly fine food far removed from the joyless offerings we endured this time.
