Food is always hot every time we have been there. Love the fish and chicken fried steak. Prices are very good compared to other restaurants

They didn't start cooking our fish until it was ordered. Fresh fries, fish. Cole Slaw and beans were good as well. Always appreciate friendly staff. Doesn't cost anything to smile. Means a lot now days.

I heard about this place and drove up from Dallas for lunch!! Loved it!! Great staff. Very accommodating. Food was fresh and hot when it came out. Everything we ordered was delicious!! Thank you, Catfish King!!

I stopped in here tonight since I was in the mood for some fish. The staff greeted me with smiles, and all seemed to be in great moods, so the atmosphere was really good already. When ordering, the Cajun fish was suggested, so I ordered some with a sweet tea. The portions might not be huge, but for the price it I was satisfied. The Cajun fish was pretty good, I think some people are used to Cajun being more of a blackened or spicier style, but this was still really good seasoning. Would recommend and will come back.

Very nice staff. Went above and beyond. They had no other customers, and it looked as if it were closed down. Could use a little update. Maybe an update a fresh new vibe could bring in more customers.

We ordered (2) 4 pc. special catch plates. If I had known how small the fillets were, I would have ordered the 6 or 8 pc meals, but I'm glad I didn't. The 4 pc. with all the sides provided plenty of food to fill us up. The plates came with hush puppies, beans, coleslaw, and fries. The fish and beans were well seasoned, and it surprised me how much I enjoyed my meal. The coleslaw wasn't my favorite, but I've had worse. I would definitely recommend Catfish King.

This was one of my father's favorites, and brings back some memories. The food is as expected and the service is prompt and very polite. The restaurant has a very old cowboy movie theme, with a lot of Roy Rogers memorabilia on the walls.

They close early just about every time we decide we want to eat here. And you can’t call the restaurant because the phone is just a busy line. The food is awesome, but the operation times are super inconsistent and that is quite frustrating when you are driving 20+ minutes just for them to be closed 30 minutes to an hour early.

The food was okay, nothing to get excited about. The service was friendly and helpful, food arrived at my table in a reasonable amount of time. Everything was cooked to order so it was hot and fresh, just tasted too plain. There were a lot of dirty tables, they were cleared just didn't look like they were wiped down.

Dry, old catfish but cashier was friendly. Cook in back wore mask like a chin strap and then noticed him eating. Whats the point of wearing a mask...?!?

Cashier has zero personality. Got a baked potato and was told they don’t have cheese or bacon bits for it. No salad bar. Small portions.

Painfully slow service. Employees didn't take time to get the order right or give status on slow service. The catfish po boy was hot and crispy.

I was craving fish for dinner so decided to give this restaurant a try. They have a drive-thru. I was behind another gentleman for about 12 minutes before I got to pull up to the window. I was at the window for another 10 minutes. I have the time logged on my phone. I had ordered a five piece meal with French fries, hush puppies, and a medium drink. This cost me $14.68. I made it home before I discovered that they had not given me my drink because it had been a long day and my mind was in about 14 different places. When I called to speak to the manager all I was told was that they were not a "fast food" restaurant. I asked what he considered a reasonable time to be for a vehicle through their drive-thru and was told 10 minutes. I asked him if he agreed with me that over 20 minutes was ridiculous and he said yes. I told him it was not worth the return trip to have cold fish with a drink. He apologized and said that all he could do was have me come by tomorrow and give me a free drink. Once I opened my box of food, you can see the five very thin strips of fish I received. Needless to say, I will not be back.

Our window server was eating his own food while he packaged ours, was inattentive and didn’t pack napkins or cutlery. We waited a long time in the drive through. We hoped this was a sign that the food was cooked fresh but this was not the case. Tip- don’t order the hush puppy sticks.

Ok first the manager needs to lose the attitude cause the only business they get is the interstate travelers. Locals know this place all too well. Never the same employees. The floor needed cleaning long ago, when the vending machine syrup covered it . It's still sticky. Clean the floor. Clean under the vending machine, the puddle of syrup is still under it. Clean the bathroom it is sickening. Quit serving fish sticks and charging fish fillet prices. When you did away with the salad bar you didn't lower your price, people still talk about this. This would be the perfect place for a fish restaurant. Hint..go to Mt Pleasant TX Catfish King and see how they run it there. Great fish, great fresh salad bar, smile 😊 on employees, no manager screaming at employees or customers. Clean floors and bathrooms. Lots of people from New Boston go to Mt Pleasant to eat fish there, me included.

Very disappointed with my visit to Catfish King. The tables were nasty and clearly not cleaned properly. The sweet tea tasted like the dispenser hadn’t been cleaned in days (or weeks), and the food was just mid at best — no flavor and zero seasoning. Definitely not what I was expecting and not worth the money. I won’t be coming back.

Should be zero stars-Place an order online – Picked it up, got it home. It was all incorrect no drink no cocktail sauce no tartar sauce no ranch. Went back to get other items. No one cared. Manager shouldn’t manage anything. The shrimp are the size of a nickel at best. The manager said they shrink when they cook is ridiculous. I’ve been in food service 32 years. All the fried food of course is cold by the time you get back home. Catfish king has fell far from they used to be. I will not return, or advise anyone to go to any location.

No, don’t go here. Just don’t. Message to owner: Your drive through sign says PO-BOY. It’s not the same as a sandwich on a hamburger bun. Shame your drive through chick doesn’t know what a po boy is either. And the pecan pie….really??? You ought to be ashamed. Have a local baker make it for you. It’s not complicated. This is Texas !

I just spent $60 for a family fish dinner. The quality of the fired fish is depressing. The fish fillets were about the same size as the fries..All 19 pieces of fish fit in one Styrofoam container. I would have given a minus 5 star if it was available. I will never spend another dollar here.
