I cannot say enough about this place! What a gem!!! The food is absolutely delicious, the atmosphere is beautiful and the staff is friendly, warm, giving, caring and just truly make you feel welcomed! In the busy hassle and bustle of NYC, this is a place to slow down and relax as you are served amazing fairs and delicious drinks. 100% recommend this place!
Made my trip to NYC. The manager, mehdi is a fantastic human. Staff is great. Food and drinks are great.
We had the lobster ravioli and a pizza and both were 20/10. Great service. Would definitely come back.
Amazing little restaurant, fantastic atmosphere, feels like home . I got in ,I ordered some hot tea and they took a really good care of me especially Aymen . With a wonderful and professional service :) I really recommend him ! . Thank you Great et chaleureux endroit , Merci !!!
Very friendly and attentive wait staff, and the food is exceptional. The portions are not HUGE, but they are still reasonable.
The bar was getting busy, but Mehdi was kind and attentive to me and my wife. Aquarius are the best.
I was staying in the hotel opposite and wanted a quick meal. I went in when it was fairly empty and got a table immediately, serving staff were nice. The cocktail I had was really good
We are staying at the Holiday Inn at Times Square and this is the restaurant that we have breakfast. Currently is just breakfast until 10:30 am. Hey, it’s just a buffet. But the service is truly wonderful. There is this gentleman called Medhi (forgive me if I misspelled it) that took care of everyone with so much pleasure. Great service goes a long way. The customers seem very happy with the staff. Thank you for a lovely experience.
Bartender Guy was really great. Great dude easy to talk to and very interactive. Definitely recommend
Popped in here without a reservation with a group from work. We had all flown into NYC that day from around the world and were tired and hungry. We had about 10 of us and were able to get seated and served quickly. Very impressed by the staff responsiveness to support us. The food was impressive as well. Didn’t know what to expect, but we thought the plating & presentation was great as well as the flavor and production. The wine pours were robust and everything just worked here. Very good experience! Nice job!
This place is so friendly and they accommodating!!!. Friendly staff, great happy hour and great food. Went back 3 times during my stay.
Our GM Mehdi was so nice and made amazing drinks. Very friendly and welcoming despite knowing there’s a blizzard coming. Very professional and very knowledgeable about the drinks. Coming out of state (Phoenix AZ) if i ever visit New York again I’ll most definitely come back to Latitude just to visit Mehdi.
Came here with my fiancé to round out our engagement/anniversary celebration, we had such a great time, the food was Amazing, and Mehdi did an amazing job with providing us amazing drinks, his espresso martini was top notch! wonderful customer service and a great experience, he was very professional and did not hesitate to inform us and give us insights about the cocktails he made for us. Overall he gave us a memorable experience and would definitely come back again during our next visit!
Latitude 39 Restaurant & Bar exceeded all my expectations! From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was warm, modern, and inviting — the perfect balance between upscale and comfortable. The service was outstanding; the staff was friendly, attentive, and made sure every detail was perfect without ever feeling intrusive. The food was absolutely incredible. Every dish was beautifully presented and full of flavor, clearly made with high-quality ingredients and real attention to detail. You can tell the kitchen takes pride in what they serve. The drinks were just as impressive — expertly crafted and perfectly balanced. Whether you’re going for a special occasion, date night, or just a great meal, Latitude 39 delivers on every level. Amazing food, excellent service, and a fantastic vibe. I’ll definitely be coming back
While waiting for our room to be ready we stopped by the bar/restaurant! What a cool old vintage wood bar and restaurant. So much character! We were there early afternoon and sat at the bar. The mixologist was friendly and attentive. We ordered beers and a couple of apps. The clams oregano was very good and just the right amount of seasonings but didn't take away from the clams. Also, tried the burrata. It was fresh and tasty. Didn't come with any bread or toast but in the end we didn't miss it, the fresh veggies and arugula was a great combo for the cheese. Check this place out, next time, we will try dinner or lunch.
Altitude 39 New York provides excellent service, they go above and beyond to make sure their customers are looked after. The food is light and delicious, accompanied by excellent cocktails.
NEW and fantastic!! Was looking for a restaurant/bar that would be around our theatre and found Latitude 39. Decided to try them out randomly on a Sunday to test out this Happy Hour and then potentially come back for dinner for when we have tickets for the theatre. The HH is great and 2-7 everyday!! No strings. Straight forward. Gigi the bartender will mix you up whatever you’re looking for. Super talented, very efficient and kind!! Additionally, met Mehdi the GM who is amazing. He truly does it all. He was helping people get seated, was bartending, serving food and working on the heat. Very nice staff here and clearly he is setting the example at the top. Came back to try them out for dinner and was blown away by the menu. Decided on the arugula and pear salad (wow) and the burger (which Mehdi raved about) and the steak. We truly enjoyed everything. Salad was super fresh, burger was a very nice blend and steak was cooked perfectly. Fries with the burger super crispy and plentiful! We also tried two different desserts, an apple tart and chocolate lava!! Delish!! Already planning our next visit. 39th/8th. Awesome team, great bar and fantastic food!!
I had the seared tuna with spinach and roasted potatoes. Tuna was warm and came with a delicious garlic and oil sauce. The potatoes and spinach had a glaze involved that was a bit sweet and lightly tart, almost prune like. Very nice. Delicious really. We also had the chicken Parmesan and the strip steak. Chicken Parmesan was pounded thin but not too thin. Tender, delicious bubbly browned cheese… yummy. The strip steak had slivered crunchy potatoes, which weren’t my favorite. The steak was deliciously grilled and very tasty. Solid work, all. Thank you.
Decent food, but a little on the expensive side. I thought my pasta was a bit small for the price but overall the food was good. The sandwich and salad were really good tho!
We had the most amazing meal here, loved it so much that we came back the next day to order it again! The gnocchi is heavenly, and the pear salad is so fresh. My mom & I loved it here. We had wonderful service!
Listen 📢 This place is a hidden treasure. Happy hour is 🔥 awesome. Medhi is the life of this place. He had such great energy and really made our experience lovely. Our waiter was very pleasant and recommendations was spot on. Chef is really cooking here!
First time coming to New York and was blown away by this place. Amazing atmosphere and service. Food looked and tasted beautiful and was very affordable.
Latitude 39 is a true gem in NYC! The ambiance is sophisticated yet inviting, creating the perfect setting for any occasion. The menu is thoughtfully crafted, offering dishes that are both innovative and delicious. The staff is attentive and genuinely hospitable, ensuring an exceptional dining experience. Don’t miss their signature cocktails – they’re a work of art! Whether for a casual night out or a special celebration, Latitude 39 never fails to impress. Highly recommended!
We stayed at the Holiday Inn connected to this restaurant and wandered in one night for some late-night snacks and drinks. The service was fantastic—quick, friendly, and efficient—and the food was delicious. We were pleasantly surprised by the great atmosphere, and the bartenders were super fun to chat with! We liked it so much, we came back four times during our trip. Highly recommend this spot for a casual bite and excellent service!
Round 2: So good I came back with my work partner for happy hour and apps. Carolyn the “master” bartender was giving our good friend Nevin bartending tips for the cities best Manhattan followed by a tremendous dirty martini with stuffed blue cheese olives. Cheese / meat platter below was outstanding. Please frequent. Great staff. Great drinks. Good apps. Round 1- Tuesday: Now open for dinner! Recommended by friends of owner. Stopped in for dinner. 2nd night. Glad I did! Salim and Nevin took great care of me. Caesar Salad with extra anchovies ok(a little too much dressing), Monk fish superb. Panna Cotta excellent. Chianti excellent. Background music excellent. Owner Nordine stopped by. Going to be a successful venture. With and food at a high level you can’t go wrong. Stop in and enjoy.
Great restaurant we enjoyed the moment & the food. Thanks to the French speaking waiter :)
May "just" fine at first glance... But the food was delicious and juicy :-) , service really proffesional and helpfull - especialy the owner. And the music "jazz - rock" is in my vibe. Glad we stepped in.
We were fortunate enough to be the first customers since reopening. The atmosphere is comfortable and welcoming. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The food is excellent with ample portions and wonderful preparation and presentation. One of the best burgers I have had in a very long time.
Took a trip to NYC for the weekend and found out this bar was attached to our hotel. The service and hospitality were absolutely fantastic! Food is really good too! Shoutout to my boy Mehdi, he was incredible!
Hands-down the best experience I’ve ever had. The bartender and servers are very polite, down-to-earth, and incredibly easy to talk to. They made us feel welcomed and taken care of from start to finish. The level of service provided was above and beyond. If you’re looking for a spot with great energy, amazing service, and staff that actually care about your experience, this is the place!! I can’t recommend it enough. Whether you’re local or just visiting the city, do yourself a favor and stop by. You’ll be glad you did.
Their breakfast is buffet style only. Scrambled eggs (real and not the instant/powdery made eggs you get at some buffets), toast, sausage, bacon, potatoes, half-dollar size pancakes, oatmeal, apples, two choices of cereals, coffee, tea bags and OJ. We stayed at the Holiday InnTimes Square right next door so it was convenient. $20 per adult and kids under 11 are free so it’s a pretty good deal for NYC pricing. The host (didn’t catch his name but if we eat there again I’ll ask and add it) was extremely friendly and nice. 07/10/24 - I added a photo from an ad in our Holiday Inn right next door which is deceptive since none of the foods in the pic (except OJ, bacon and half-dollar size pancakes) are offered.
Gratuity added to bill! We were only a party of 2. I didn't see anywhere that stated an automatic gratuity would be added. They charged us $18 gratuity on 100 bill. Food and service were great, it's a bit pricey. Just be sure to look at the bill before you pay. Our server ended up with a 40% tip because we didn't look at the bill till we had already paid.
Giving three stars because I only had one cocktail their special Latitude 39 Old Fashioned and it was great. But since I did not try the food and sat at the bar I don't feel giving it higher is fair. However, if the rating was for the one cocktail it would be five stars so will check this place out more. This location used to be Rattle and Hum a great beer bar but I like what they did with the place but wish the beer selection was more interesting. However, I am hopeful and the menu looked good so I will be back to try it again.
Service was great. However, we ordered Margarita pizza and chicken parm sandwich - terrible food. Tourist trap. Great people working there.
Great food but after adding a standard 20% gratuity to the bill, the credit card slip asks for gratuity… again. Had I not looked at the tab and noticed gratuity was already left, I would have unknowingly added additional gratuity as the charge card slip does not indicate you’ve already paid a 20% gratuity when giving your signature. We were a party of two by the way…
2/5 stars for Latitude 39. Unfortunately, our experience was a letdown. The food lacked flavor and seasoning, making it feel pretty bland overall. The service was also slow, which was surprising since the restaurant wasn't busy. Our waiter seemed to be wandering around without much purpose, and it took ages to get their attention. Even when we did get served, it felt like a chore rather than attentive service. Hopefully they'll revamp their menu and service style to elevate the experience.
I got the burrata and seafood linguine.. and stayed up all night throwing it up. My friends also got the seafood linguine but they were fine. Must’ve been the burrata. I’ve never gotten food poisoning this bad, I really wanted to like this place
So we visited this establishment on a late afternoon where it was extremely quiet and empty, we were asked if we wanted to drink or eat and we said we don't know yet but we'd prefer to sit at the table and not the bar. Usually this is not a problem especially on a slow day like that but the server was being rude and immediately said NO. I was like why...it's empty...and I had a few shopping bags with me too. Thankfully the manager saw us and let us pick wherever. I don't remember what that particular server name was but he has a long wavy hair. He also looked unhappy all the time and the manager had to be the one watching us to make sure our glasses were always full. That server needs to work on his attitude and if he actually hates his job, find another job where he doesn't need to interact with customers. It's like you want a great tip but you're rude... The drinks were great and tacos were okay.
~30min no bartender or service despite someone coming over 3 or 4 times promising someone would be with us eventually. 4 other people in establishment that clearly can seat much more, so didnt think it was overly busy.
The Holiday Inn that is attached to this restaurant advertises free breakfast. It lists “free breakfast” on the website and has advertisements all over the hotel, including in the room and on the elevator doors. When we went down to breakfast, there was no host and the setup was that of a traditional free continental breakfast for Holiday Inns. So, my partner and I sat down to eat. After about 10 minutes, the employee floating around the restaurant came over and informed us that breakfast would be $24/person without a voucher. This man was present in the dining room the entire time, but only informed us after we had gotten a plate of food and coffee. What a scam.
Pizza was good, but the mushrooms were not wild..likely canned. No polenta on the shrimp Toscana, and happy hour was not honored. And the wait staff was very curt.
TLDR - Would not come back. The food is overpriced for the quality, 20% gratuity is automatically included in the bill The truffle Mac-n-cheese had no truffles, the fungi gnocchi was just portabelo mushrooms. Staff was super nice, atmosphere was great, but automatically adding a 20% gratuity to the bill and than including that in the tip calculation suggestions is just distasteful and scummy.
Disappointing experience overall. My friend asked twice for a soda and never received it. The food was very overpriced for the quality, and the pizza was especially underwhelming. We also weren’t informed that a 20% gratuity was automatically added to the bill, which should have been made clear upfront. Bar was nice though.
