Avis sur Osteria 106 New York
Our experience at Osteria 106 was outstanding from start to finish. Every dish felt thoughtful, well executed, and deeply satisfying, and the service truly elevated the entire evening. We began with the bruschetta prosciutto crudo, and that first bite set the tone for an incredible meal. It was perfectly balanced and fresh, and so good we easily could have ordered several more. Next was the Carciofi Fritti. The fried artichokes were crispy on the outside and sour and tangy in the absolute best way, making them incredibly addictive. We also ordered the special salad of the day, which included sweet potato. While we wished the sweet potato had been a bit more candied, the salad was still really enjoyable and well balanced. For mains, we had the Brasato d’Agnello, and the lamb shank was rich, savory, and completely mouthwatering. It was fall off the bone tender and full of flavor, and we honestly could have eaten many more of them. We also shared the ravioli di zucca, which was excellent. The pasta was delicate and flavorful, and for Italian food it felt wonderfully light rather than overly heavy. Dessert sealed the deal. Both the chocolate lava cake and the tiramisu were fantastic and the perfect ending to the meal. To top it all off, the service was amazing. It was attentive, warm, and perfectly paced without ever feeling rushed. Osteria 106 is a place we will absolutely be coming back to and one we would highly recommend for a truly memorable Italian meal.
Coming up on two years now. One of the most delightful experiences I've had in a life time in and around the business. Still remember with great fondness. Lower side of $50-100 but the food was wonderful
My friends and I had an amazing dinner yesterday at Osteria 106. Branzino special was spectacular along with peas pure. Highly recommend this place for a quiet, cozy and delicious dinner with loved ones! Will be back!
Highly recommended. Fried calamari was amazing, Tortellini was amazing and Branzino was 👌Melissa is the best. Her recommendations are great and she made us feel very welcomed.
Phenomenal experience from the ambiance, to the waitstaff, and then to the delectable food. They took me in as a walking but they also recommend reservations as they have busy period. I chose one of the appetizer specials along with a dinner and later a dessert special. All were very good. Definitely recommend.
Small cozy Italian restaurant with a family like atmosphere. They have a daily offer that is different to the regular a’la carte menu. Always talk to your waiter they are knowledgeable. It does worth to have a go with the daily offer. There is a wide choice of appetizers. I chose from the daily offer. As far as I can remember it was stuffed fried peppers which was outstanding. Duck and pea soup are also 5*. Tiramisu is a must have top choice. Panna cotta is also very good and luckily not on the sweet side. This place is a must visit. There is also an excellent wine menu.
Wow!! Totally unexpected amazing Italian restaurant. We came for my birthday very low key and was pleasantly surprised! I must say having just been recently in Italy it’s the closest to the real thing I’ve had in a while in the city. Good wine selection, amazing service and the food was outstanding! Bravo!
Opening Service was lovely, they seemed to really want to start you off with the full experience - the service throughout can be a little much with many questions on whether you are enjoying your meal - this may be because I was alone or a way to check if you are finished and to bring your next course. Gorgeous interior with some ambient music playing to set a mood. Trio bruschetta: I first notice the tomatoes and herbs it is overflowing and unwieldy to eat spillage is unavoidable but taste is nice, fresh tomatoes, the next is the, prosciutto, and feta, this is delicious with fresh tasting cheese, that could almost be made in house, lastly the mushrooms and cheese was fantastic the fungi cooked to perfection, a standout amongst the lot was the fresh delicious bread base. Fettuccine Bolognese: Very obviously Homemade pasta a distinct mouthfeel and taste, natural fresh also cooked to a nice al dente, and a slow cooked meat sauce with definite care put in, I also liked how neither part was too much it was balanced between sauce and pasta very well. Highly recommend.
This year it was my 5th Manhattan visit and decided to try Osteria on 106 on my son in law recommendation. For inside seating you have to call in but outside dining area can accommodate walk ins. Weather was warm so we sat out side. I ordered Cavatelli pasta and boy did I enjoy it with their white wine. Waitress was friendly and had many suggestions especially for a person like me who is on a very restrictive diet. If you are in that area and like Italian food you will enjoy this place.
Casual Italian eatery. Nice service, cute indoor and outdoor covered seating. I’ll be back for the Creme brûlée. Takes reservations. Bruschetta had rotating toppings. While it was tasty the sausage was too much for me. The pasta dish was fantastic. Looking forward to return. The bread an oil tastes very good.
This place was absolutely beautiful, and between the food and the atmosphere, I don’t know which was better. My friend and I originally came here because their desserts sounds scrumptious, but we ended up sharing the duck and the 2 hard ciders. The ciders were delicious and the duck, THE DUCK GIRL, was absolutely divine. The poached pear was out of this world and the reduction used to finish, I could’ve drank out a mug. Then to finish, we had the tiramisu and the panna cotta- and I have no words. The texture, the taste, and there wasn’t an overbearing sweetness, it was just simply perfect. We’ll definitely be coming here again to try their pasta 😋
Pleasant spot with good service and atmosphere. Food was delicious, and I had a good time. Expensive for sure.
I recently dined at this Italian restaurant, and overall, it was a delightful experience. The food was delicious, and the staff provided excellent service. My only critique is that the serving dishes were consistently cold. While this wasn't an issue for cold dishes, warm plates would have enhanced the experience for hot meals. Despite this, the flavors and service make it a worthwhile. I would definitely come back for other dishes.
I am still here eating. This is not my first time here. I actually like the food, but the service is just not great this time. From pushing us to order to pushing us to finish our apps because they had fired our mains already (when we asked them to please not fire the mains right away after being pushed to). And then we waited to order a bottle of wine for 10 minutes. When I asked to order, I was told 'I am coming.' Never will come here again. Even though the food was actually good.
