Was greeted quickly and attended to throughout the meal. French Toast was out of this world. Sausage links were outstanding. Great place and service

Remedy has such a nostalgic energy - you feel instantly relaxed. Came here after seeing a few bands play. It was a late night and the staff were so friendly. It’s now one of my favorite diners in the city. We got dessert and French fries - the perfect combination 🙏🏼 So delicious!

Amazing little find… had pancakes (3 large ones in a portion) Maryland eggs Benedict - classic eggs Benedict - and Mediterranean eggs- just amazing and service is great- bottomless coffee so appreciated! Thanks

Ended up having breakfast here because the diner we planned on going had an hour and a half waiting line, and Remedy Diner turned out to be a jewel in East Houston Street!!! Food and Service were superb!!! Will certainly come back next time we are in NY!!!

This is a lovely diner. I went in for breakfast, just French toast, and it was delicious. The staff was very nice and friendly. The restaurant is very clean. The only negative point was that the restroom was full of graffiti, I imagine that is a result of some kind of vandalism but I don’t understand how they gave up on it. The mirror was so full of graffiti that you wouldn’t see your reflection. I’m still rating it as 5 stars because of the quality of the food, service and price.

This place is amazing. Came here because clinton st baking st had a 2 HOUR WAIT. Never looked back. The disco fries here could cure any illness I’ve ever had. The wait staff? Cute as heck. They gave us the brunch special before 11. Made US feel special. Pls come here.

Usually restaurants that have such a diverse menu are a red flag, but Remedy Diner nails any and every kind of cuisine! We ordered a little bit of everything off the menu, gnocchi, pasta, quesadillas, salads, pie, sandwiches, dumplings, ect. All were delightful and extremely fresh (at 2am mind you!) very friendly service and great classic atmosphere. Would stop by for a full breakfast, lunch, dinner, or midnight snack.

I’m shocked this place doesn’t have hire ratings. This place was incredible! Just a solid diner experience that’s hard to come by in a big city. The service was great. They were very attentive and caring and i ordered a delicious breakfast feast. Will definitely be back here.

Overview: Classic diner with delicious food and gorgeous decoration! It was suprisingly empty around dinnertime even during the tourist rush of christmastime, which makes me sad because this is one of my all-time favorites and I make sure to check it out every time I'm around Houston. The decoration is classic and has a 70's-80's light theme, but nothing too crazy. Service: Very nice and quick staff! During busy & empty times alike, the staff will never rush you, get annoyed, or be rude. (at least in my experience) The sit-down experience is great, and you will be seated by a waiter but if you want a specific table, they will graciously give it to you if it's open. Food: THE FOOD! The cheeseburger and fries are DELICIOUS, with perfectly crispy fries with a warm, gooey inside. The matzoh ball soup is also magnificent, and it will often come out with the drinks in just a few minutes. They have a stellar shirley temple [pictured] and that's coming from someone who VERY rarely orders sugary drinks at all. Their grilled cheese is also perfectly warm, crispy, and cheesy. I've also had delicious omelettes there, but in my opinion you really can't beat the classics. If you're looking for something lighter and quicker, you can sit at the bar and get pastries like croissants, brownies, and tarts or take them out to go. They also have delicious pies and cakes, although I haven't had one in quite a long time, because the food is so filling and comforting.

This is my go-to, neighborhood diner. Five stars because what we need in a diner is pretty simple: ✔️ they’re open all night, ✔️the food is tasty, ✔️the staff is excellent and ✔️if you’re looking for coffee and cheesecake at any time of day, you’re set.

The service and the atmosphere was great. Hands down the best chocolate chip pancakes i ever had. It was fluffy, thick and soft. Prices are reasonable as well. I don't why the orange was there for. Didn't eat. Overall a great place imo.

Second visit here and I’ve got more than enough reasons to keep coming back. Between the affordable prices and good views of Houston along with the friendly staff, it’s an easy recommendation for people looking for a quick bite or full meal any time of day.

Finally went after my friends have been bragging about it for months. The food is like a five star restaurant's quality. Unbelievably good. This will become a frequent place I visit. Staff was amazing. Especially for a group of 6 at 5am. I recommend it for all.

We went to this finer after catching a show at Drom. We went there after midnight . I realized that I'm in NYC again after living here for 20+ yrs. It has the old NYC feel and the food was good. We sat on a corner booth as we were a party of 6 people. Highly recommend the diner.

We were immediately greeted and seated as soon as we walked-in after going to another place down the street that had a 2 to 3 hour wait. The staff were friendly and the food was wholesome. I had the Steady Teddy and did get a chance to take a picture before digging in. My daughter had the chicken sandwich which had the best coleslaw ever. The slaw had a little smokey, heat to the finish that kept me wanting more. Overall, sold, filling meal which was perfect after we walked around the Statue of Liberty. It’s just a short ride on the M15 from Battery Park to 1st Ave and 1st Street. If you happen to be in the area and you’re looking for a filling meal in the city, then you will satisfied. I didn’t get a chance to try the cakes. The German Chocolate cake looked amazing. We enjoyed the black and white milkshake. The Cafe Mocha and Oregon Chai were delicious as well.

We had an incredible experience at this diner! Arriving just before 7:00 AM, we were greeted with a warm welcome and a classic American atmosphere. The food exceeded all expectations, the pancakes and French toast were expertly prepared and very well-served. If you're looking for a hearty, authentic breakfast, this place is 100% worth a visit.

Had planned to go to Katz’s as one does, but I was starving and the line was down the block and around the corner so I schlept on schlepping on and found Remedy a block or so down. There was a 10-15 minute wait to sit at the counter but the food and service were amazing. Corned beef on rye and cheesecake.

Many places to have brunch, busy time on Sunday. This place has traditional staples, which is what we were looking for- without standing in line or needing a reservation. Just 2 longtime friends catching up, and i brought my teenage kid. Nice people here, we got a booth. Blueberry pancakes, waffle fried chicken, it was all good. In my favoriete ‘hood💜

This is an old-school diner. I would definitely recommend coming here. We got pancakes, which were huge and very very tasty. We also got two eggs Sunny side up, a pulled pork burger and fries. Proportions were huge so you get a bang for your buck.

Four people, Sunday 10:30AM-ish, we beat the brunch crowd. When I asked the hostess for a window seat since we were tourists, she brought us across the restaurant to the corner window, so kind. The food arrived quickly and was very good, prices were not exorbitant. Plenty of breakfast options including eggs Benedict with crab cakes!!! So good! Would definitely go again.

Quaint New York borough style diner. Nice window light on the one side of the restaurant. I’ve been there several times. They do a nice job. I don’t like the smash burgers appearance but it tasted fine. (Didn’t match the promo photo at all) the fries also looked a little less like steak fries and more like small frozen ones. The chicken avocado salad was very good. A little too much feta and not enough avocado. The veg chicken red soup had great flavor. The coffee wasn’t as strong as I hoped but hot and did the trick. Cost was around $40 before tip. My other experiences were much better. As I looked at all the other dishes people were eating, most looked really great. I’ll be back.

How am I just finding out about this spot?!? I guess nearby Katz unfairly steals all it's thunder, but Remedy serves classic diner fare, not delicatessen. Very different things. Plus no ticket system to trip up every tourist in the city. Great for soaking up all the alcohol you polluted yourself with at Mercury Lounge or Rockwood since it's a 24 hour joint. Puts a nice cap on a fun night. Had my first Ruben there. How I keep my Native New Yorker status with this type of lame ass behavior is beyond me. Huge portion and delicious. The fries were something special as well. Extra crispy. No salt and definitely no ketchup needed. As much as I wind up at Rockwood Music Hall without eating, I will definitely be hitting up this place again.

Remedy Diner is the ultra-ratchet, late night diner experience I've been looking for since high school. Breakfast around the clock, greasy fries, burgers, full bar... This place has it all. The menus are beat up and the customers who stumble in after the bars close in LES are beat up too. (Sometimes, though, that's exactly what you're looking for.) The service is very attentive and our waiter was more than happy to ask the chef to make me a patty melt, even though they don't offer one on the otherwise extensive menu. The burger was cooked perfectly medium-rare, just like I asked. The rye bread was perfectly toasted and the grilled onions were indeed skillfully grilled and then bedded under a gooey layer of American cheese. Beautiful. With a side of crispy onion rings, I don't think I've had a better diner meal in NYC. Even better, no stomach aches after (which is usually the case when I splurge like this). Maximum yum.

Great diner with great food and generous portions. I ordered the Monte Cristo sandwich for breakfast. It was ginormous! Came with rasberry sauce , whipped butter, and syrup. Delicious! Pleanty of seating here, including a counter displaying fresh baked goods. They also serve alcohol.

Classic diner decor, great brunch and service! Huge portions. We got a monte cristo and a loaded fluffy omelet with crispy hash browns and couldn't finish them. Should have split an entree. They must have asked us if we wanted more coffee about 3-4 times :) The corner location and windows all around made for nice people watching and bright atmosphere. Great music too: Johnny Cash, Elvis, etc.

B

Great art nouveau decor, very attentive service, large menu. We had burgers which were exceptional, very tasty. Quite extensive menu. Would love to go back to try more things on the menu. Being from Australia it is just how we would expect a classic American diner to be

Personally, I wouldn’t go out of my way to come here. However, at 11pm after a show when I needed dinner, this place was a saving grace. The food was great! The service was alright. Bottom line, it’s there if you need it and shouldn’t disappoint!

I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at Remedy Diner. The brunch special, complete with a drink, offered generous portion sizes of delicious food. The corned beef hash was a standout, and the coffee, accompanied by prompt refills, was excellent. The nostalgic old-school diner ambiance added to the overall charm. I'll definitely be returning for another satisfying meal.

This is not a place of pilgrimage, as it’s not famous for anything special, I was in the area and stumbled upon this place, the service is not slow but definitely not fast, waiter was kind, the food is ok quality and for the most part was over cooked/ burnt in some case… I would not recommend this place nor coma back…

I like that this place is 24/7 as I work late shifts at work and don’t get off until 11PM. It’s a great place to unwind with coworkers after a long shift and get a bite to eat. The food is just okay at best but the servers are always friendly and the service is good. This place gets 4 star because the food is not that good compared to what they price it at. The cakes are also very dry as if they are made days in advance or perhaps just sit in the case for days. Overall, not a bad spot for what it is and I like coming here occasionally.

$18 for three motzo balls in chicken soup is extremely expensive. I'd recommend getting two 16oz orders of matzo ball soup instead of one 32oz order as I imagine each order comes with two balls. However, it's pretty freaking good so worth the price.

An old-timey feeling diner without a line on Saturday around 11:30am. The food was pretty good, but the service had a few mistakes from an extra charge on the bill to forgetting drinks

The food was good diner food! The weekends it gets super busy so getting served can be very very slow! The servers are very friendly but the food was just not coming out of the kitchen fast enough. It wasn’t cold but the food definitely was sitting in the kitchen waiting to be taken out. Coffee wasn’t flowing. The Bellini were great and the mimosas too! This is a great brunch place. Food was meeeh. We ordered the philly cheese steak and the meatball sub. The bread of the philly was burned and there was almost no cheese on it. Meatball sub was actually quite nice but very light on the marinara sauce and cheese. Fries were okay. Tasted good, crunchy, salted.

D
Dean Gavindane

The food was ok, the fried chicken was burnt as if they took it out of a frozen box and popped it in an oven. Same with the ribs, seems like they just warm it up and then threw sauce on it. Good spot if you are just coming out the club and need food immediately....(which was my case)

R

Pretty good diner. Nice, clean atmosphere with lots of seating. Friendly, swift service. It's missing that magic factor with flavor but it's a decent place to get the greatest hits of breakfast food when you're hungover, or don't want to wait for a table at Clinton's. Huge portions, good value. Coffee could be better.

J
John Rod

The diner was very nice and cozy. The food was delicious. Amazing presentation and the staff was awesome. Reason I give 3 stars is because the wait time to get your food is WAAAAYYY too long. It honestly took so long that after a while I didn’t even want to eat there but glad I waited cause the food was good.

Good vibe. Potentially could film the opening scene of a horror movie here. Guy at table 6 was creepy. The wild mushroom ravioli: it was solid, small but delicious. 7/10 P.S house salad was mid. Dressing didn’t come mixed smh The grilled cheese: mid but still good, regular sandwich. A side wouldn’t have hurt. 5/10 French fries: actually solid. One massive problem: they don’t understand the superiority of Heinz ketchup and differ to their own “house” ketchup- preposterous. Banana pancakes: “they’re very dry without the syrup”. Bananas made the pancakes very moist- highly recommended to add bananas 🍌. It comes with bad quality creeks cheese. 6.7/10 Chocolate chip pancakes: “they were pretty good, nothing to write home about.” 6.8/10. Drinks: Tap water- fine, better than Dasani, worse than Fiji Cappuccino- lukewarm, 3.7/10 Oreo milkshake- underwhelming presentation tasted very good. 7.2/10 Iced latte- how good could it be? 7/10 COLLECTIVE RATING 🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁 3.15/5

So it has been over 5 years I've been longing to have my morning breakfast here And so is Murphy law anything that could go wrong will go wrong. I forgot the owner of the restaurant's name but he's a Greek gentleman and I do use the word gentlemen. I never went inside until today. Nonetheless today I decide to sit down and have oatmeal and a big breakfast because I knew it had to carry me for the next 13 hours. I just finished my shift of 18 hours of work and yes I wasn't in the best looking condition I was a little shabby and just had to get some rest but that's no reason why I should have been treated the way I was treated by the waitress. after taking my photos on the outside of this restaurant I have been longing to go to forever and I was approached by a short Latin man. Now my Spanish is okay but I had no idea what in the world he was saying. He did not have a menu in his hand he just approached me and said something I asked him to repeat what he said and he did again and I had no idea what he said. So I assume he was asking me do I want to take out or stay in so I said I want a seat. I sat and for some reason he disappeared towards the back of the restaurant. Mind you a tall black gentleman had came into the restaurant before me and he seemed to have had a day also as he was pretty much in the same attitude as I was we were both a little disheveled. LOL he had taken to seat no menu was given to him. however one would think you would greet someone with a menu when you come into a restaurant that causes you to wait to be seated. It was not crowded exactly five people were there. Looked around the restaurant before having a seat and began taking pictures of the counter and I was then approached by this tall woman, overly plump, with black hair who asked what do I need ?that was her statement to me Talk about professionalism where was it here? Now I can see if she didn't speak English well but she did. Cuz one can interpret what do you need as how can I help you but she spoke English. She looked me up and down as though she was disgusted she then said can I help you? Mind you I'm standing over the table I'm about to sit down at I had pulled the chair to be seated. She then had the audacity to ask me again is there something you need? Now I'm irritated what the heck do you think I need was going on in my mind? So I told her I'm a customer may I have a menu? She then turned from me went and got a menu. I was so disgusted I don't even know if she bought me the menu but one was given to me . Those of you have been reading my reviews you know I have a thing for a clean bathroom. Yes it's been some years since this place has been here and yes some customers are not very nice in keeping the bathrm neat. as you see from the pictures it is a small bathroom with a cute little sink there are stickers on the door people have no respect for people property what a shame. The bathroom was not in the best of condition however I wash my hands came out made my order. My waitress was a lady who brightened up my day her name was Marta. A short beautiful personality woman who took my order told me how she liked the oatmeal that I was about to order and when it came I was delighted. It wasn't as creamy as I wanted to be but then again it didn't make a difference I was hungry and it did have a great texture. Having my fill of the oatmeal I then ordered a western omelette. The western omelet was still warm when it came to me I didn't like the hash browns they were hard scattered with some soft and the green peppers were not chopped up small enough. Nonetheless I enjoyed the omelette. I didn't want to complain because I had just finished the 18-hour shift and my main thing was to get food in me. Towards the end a group poor white people came in and they were immediately greeted with a menu at the door. Now you interpret this the way you wish. If the owner reads this please reach out to me perhaps you may need Marta to greet instead of the rude woman in the picture. View your video for Tuesday you'll see hope u have audio

Service was slow even though I was seated immediately. Had to ask for water while waiting for food to arrive. Food was hot when served. I'd go again if I was starving, but not high on my preferred places to dine while home in the city. I really wanted to like this place more than I do.

The service was great and so was my fried chicken but my friend's ribs were very dry and the key lime pie was a disservice to real keyLime pie did not taste fresh at all.

Man, how I wanted to have a great first visit here, but alas, it was not meant to be. I’ve walked past this diner countless times and, being hungry and in the area, I thought, “Well, finally!” When we entered, I noticed it looked clean, the music was soft and forgettable, and, being late afternoon on the Saturday after Thanksgiving, it was understandably pretty empty. We ordered a couple of deluxe burgers, swapping onion rings for fries on one of them, and two egg creams—one chocolate and one vanilla. Thankfully, the wait wasn’t long. The waiter was attentive and checked in after bringing the food; we asked for A1 sauce. The burgers were cooked as requested (well done), but the onion rings were harder than a recession at Christmas—not crunchy, just unpleasantly hard, unlike any onion rings I’ve had anywhere else. If there were a trophy for how bad they were, they’d win it. Thankfully, we had enough fries to share, which sort of saved the meal. Then came time to wash it all down, and, as the saying goes, when it doesn’t rain, it pours. Both egg creams were so weak and diluted they tasted like slightly sweetened water at best. The vanilla and chocolate flavors were almost non‑existent—easily among the weakest I’ve had, and I’ve ordered many egg creams all over the city. It made me wonder whether the person making them lacked experience or whether the syrup they use is just poor quality. Given the variety and number of places to eat in the area, I sadly don’t see myself coming back. Next time I want burgers, I’ll try the very good‑looking Gotham Burger Social Club, which I passed on my way here at the corner of Rivington St and Essex St. I mentioned the issue with the onion rings to the waiter and asked that they be taken off the bill. Unlike the onion rings, we were thirsty enough that we finished the egg creams as they were, so I didn’t feel like bringing those up. The waiter spoke to who I assume was the manager. Where they really could have picked up the ball and made a save was in the missed opportunity for either a) the waiter to come back and confirm that the onion ring issue had been taken care of (he didn’t), or b) the manager to come over and talk with us about the mishap. That just doesn’t seem to be the norm here. The bill came to a little over $50, plus tip. Note: when you order a “deluxe” burger, you get lettuce, tomato, and pickles, but no fries. Those cost extra, and even more if you go for the brick‑and‑mortar‑battered onion rings. Also, they add a surcharge if you pay with a credit card instead of cash, but I didn’t see anything about that on the menu, so I only found out when I got the bill—and I may dispute that part of the charge with my credit card company.

Quickly sat on a Saturday which was a plus. Extensive menu however the prices are bananas for the food offerings. Some basic eggs, hashbrowns, toast, bacon will run you $14 with an extra $7.50 for 3 gray sausage links. The sausage links taste how they look when you cut into them— gray & weird. The eggs & hashbrowns desperately needed seasoning so best believe you need salt & pepper at your table. The only saving grace was the chicken & waffles which was great but oddly had a strawberry decoration syrup on the plate. You pay at the front, the server won’t tell you that until he’s passed you 1638 times.

Dining inside is a good experience but today I door dashed my breakfast under “The breakfast bar” and was disappointed. The pancakes were burnt and dry and the bacon was at the bottom and in 4 thin slices. I just picked at it but had no appetite.

Staff and manager was very accommodating at first for a group of 10 but once we sat down and began our meal it got worse and worse. Food was forgotten, staff didn’t check on us, and once the bill was dropped the manager came over and told us to pay and get out. Super rude, condescending, and curt. I will not be going here again which is a shame because it’s one of the only 24 hour diners in the area.

W

Disappointing. Breakfast sausage tasted off, they were left on the plate. French toast was not good. The eggs were fine.

M

Wings were no good. Saggy, not crispy , felt microwaved , sauce tasted cheap. Please learn to make great wings and you have wing lovers flock your way. Invest in good sauce over melted butter. Gyro was just okay , salad was salty from the feta cheese, and fries were okay. If your sober I guess is not the place to eat. Only good thing this place has is that’s open 24 hours. Didn’t try the deserts so can’t say anything yet.

Although open since 2007, Remedy now almost feels like it's from a bygone era, as it's a 24-hour diner that has mostly gone extinct post-COVID. They serve alright American food with generous portion sizes, and I was here for brunch, which is available on Saturdays and Sundays from 11:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M., after we couldn't get into the nearby Baking Company. The staff was fine, though a bit pushy about ordering quickly, and the place started off quiet and pretty empty, with the diner soon filling up with a lot of folks who seemed mostly tourists. The brunch menu consists of eight options for $29 plus tax, which includes either coffee or tea, along with either a peach Bellini, a Mimosa, or a Bloody Mary. The price point is alright, though I wish they included an Aperol spritz as another drink option, as it's the same price on the menu. I went with the Huevos Rancheros, consisting of a crispy corn tortilla served with black beans, sauteed peppers and onions, fried eggs, cheese, and "our ranchero sauce." The portion size was large, and the food was alright. The corn tortillas had some good crispness, but I found the ranchero sauce a bit bland, and the fried eggs weren't runny enough. The dish was also very watery, though I think this was mostly because of the beans. I usually don't add hot sauce to this dish, but it was almost necessary. For my drinks, I got a coffee, which was the standard good diner type, and the Peach Bellini, which was alright. The other person ordered a dish from the Benedict menu, which is served daily from 6:00 a.m. to 4. He went with the $17 BBQ Pulled Pork Eggs Benedict with poached eggs, pulled pork, and Hollandaise. I tried a bit, and it was alright. The pork was decent with a generic BBQ sauce, as expected, the hollandaise was fine, and the eggs, unlike my dish, were properly made. The dish also came with some hash browns, which were fine as well, though they could have used a bit more flavor. He also got a $4.50 Jumbo Cookie at the end and went for a chocolate chip. This was a bit dry/stale, but at least it was large. I liked the old-school feel here, and the portion sizes were great, but the food just wasn't that good. The best parts were fine, but most of the rest was bad. I can see going here if you're drunk or something and want something, but not much otherwise. Mid 2 at the most, rounded down for general quality.

I had high hopes for this because I love old-school diners. My favorite breakfast is corned beef hash with two eggs over easy. Their menu says they make their own corned beef hash. It is barely edible. It has the consistency of refried beans. The potatoes accompanying the dish are soggy and not crisp. You can see that the color in the picture. I basically ate two eggs and two pieces of toast for $15. Needless to say, I am very disappointed, and I will not be returning.

Terrible service and food. The manager is egotistical and obnoxious. Not the first time this place gets called out for its service. Been to many places in nyc and this is by far the worst. I will never be back nor recommend this place to anyone.

Bro…. I ate raw chicken. They re-made it , no problem. I asked for a discount.. they tried to argue me down about it. I work in the restaurant business, raw chicken is one of the biggest no no’s ever. It’s an automatic discount minimum, if not a comp. They didn’t care about compensation for consumption raw chicken. I spoke to the managers and they were both disgustingly rude. I’m a youngster, I do not complain at all, but this was vile. I will be getting in touch with higher ups. Enjoy :)

The service was absolutely terrible. We saw our female server only once and said that we would get bottomless for $30 then said we couldn’t get refills. The food was absolutely terrible, and they messed up our check and laughed in our faces when we tried to get it corrected. Overall terrible experience.

Avoid this diner. The food is subpar and the experience left a bad taste. I’m not sure how you mess up something as basic as eggs, bacon, and hash browns, but somehow they managed. The only positive was the table service. The wait staff was attentive and polite. However, things took a turn at the register. There’s a credit card surcharge (in 2025, really?), and the total on the bill didn’t match what showed up on the payment kiosk. I politely asked the cashier about the discrepancy, and instead of a simple explanation, she gave me attitude and started talking about me to her coworker right in front of me in a different language. When I asked again, she waved me off with visible irritation and told me to step aside so she could help the next customer. She clearly just wanted to get rid of me. Flicking her hand in frustration, she never even answered my one question: Why was the total different on the screen from the receipt? Poor food, shady billing practices, and a rude cashier. Not worth your time or money.

Food wasn’t good & overpriced and service was worse. We ordered french toast and eggs benedict. My friend didn’t enjoy the french toast after ONE bite and ask that it be taken off of the bill. The waitress told us to speak to the manager (we think he was at least as he refused to give us his name) and that they’d only offer 50%. My friend communicated that she didn’t eat the food at all and we were met with a rude and insulting response. He told us that “he’s knows the kind of people we are” and “we do this all the time”. He then proceeded to say her “attitude was the one that was nasty” and not the food. He would not hear us out and would continue to say “listen, listen” when we tried to speak. Will not be back. He did eventually take it off the bill after degrading our characters for 5 minutes. I recommend no one to go as they have no customer service skills, they are extremely unprofessional, and food is way too expensive for it to be sooo mid.

Horrible. Second time here and (again) the service was really bad and food was barely edible. I can't remember the last time I forced myself to eat The food I was paying for. My tuna melt had AN ENTIRE ONION cooked INTO it. It was so overpowering and gross. See photo. My husband had a chicken club sandwich and the chickens was super over seasoned. I don't know why it has other decent review (I suspect they were bought). Note that we are New Yorkers and have never experienced anything like this food.

H
Hakim Hill

Disgusting. I ordered a Filet Au poivre. Has a disgusting smell. Barely even touched it and I’m getting charged $30 for something I didn’t eat nor did I enjoy at all. I ask for the manager to give my something else, he tells me that he can’t give me anything else because the steak is too expensive, as if it’s my fault that I picked out something that was nasty. It is his job to make my dining experience as comfortable as possible. So I tell him since I can’t pick something else, that I want my money back. He proceeds to tell me that he can’t give me a refund but he’ll only give me a 10% discount which was only $3 less. The utter disrespect. Don’t go to this place and waste your time and money.

M

How do I give this place a 0? Sprite tasted like seltzer water. Mojito had no alcohol. Hot chocolate had oil???? This place is nasty, and the customer service was terrible. Nobody came to greet us until 20 minutes later. The server had a rude attitude and was very passive aggressive when we asked for sauces. He rudely said “anything else?” After we were done asking. Then came back to tell us we can’t split our checks? He was completely ignoring us when we were flagging him down for the check. We waited another 15 for the check after we were ready to leave.

My bf and I went after a concert date. We wanted that cutesy diner vibe, but were quickly disappointed by the service. Our server was completely rude, commenting on how quickly I ate; which was ironic considering I had to send my food back since my salmon burger was basically ice in the middle. It made me wonder if things were just heat lamp cooked. We ordered the shrimp as well; pretty sure they’re selling half a frozen pack of Long John Silver’s for near $20 a plate.

We sat down and they told us we had to pay a $15 dollar minimum. The tables around us all had only beverages and very minimal food. They kicked us out to “make room for other people” although they didn’t say this to any other table but we were a table of black and brown people. Straight out of the 1950s. Straight racism. Got kicked out for 0 reason. Horrible establishment UPDATE: THEY CALLED THE COPS ON US JUST FOR SITTING AND TRYING TO ORDER. NO ONE ELSE IN THE ESTABLISHMENT GOT THIS TREATMENT. WE WERE NOT CAUSING TROUBLE AT ALL.

This has to be the worst food I’ve eaten. I’m still in the restaurant writing the review and my meal isn’t finished but no one has come over to see how our meal is going so I figure I might as well voice my opinion here. I ordered French onion soup and my boyfriend ordered matzah ball soup and my soup was cold and his soup was boiling hot. They brought me a matzah ball soup which had no salt, no parsley, etc. with my entree. We had 3 different servers, we never saw our original server again, and then the entrees came out my boyfriend ordered the corn beef sandwich and the sauerkraut was so bad I had to spit it out in my napkin. Like spoiled. My food was cold. Finally got a manager and he just argued with me. Saying the kitchen is right and we are wrong lol. Won’t be coming back. Wait in line at Katz Deli for 30 min outside it would be worth the wait.

L
Luis Macas

I used to love this place but after today's service I have to say that I am not a fan anymore. My wife ordered a medium cooked skirt steak which, after waiting for 40 minutes, was served well done. In addition, my medium cooked burger was also overcooked. I would have returned both plates to the kitchen but unfortunately, at this point, we were starving. We will not be coming back to this diner anymore.

M
Molly Cohune

My boyfriend and I had an absolutely terrible experience at this diner. We ordered coffees and a waffle to start, and then our main meals. We waited over an hour for our food, and my drink never arrived. When we finally spoke up, our food was brought out—completely cold, obviously having sat out for a long time. When we complained, the server took the food away and then returned only my boyfriend’s meal, claiming mine was “cold but his was hot.” When asked how he knew it was hot, the server admitted he touched the food. My boyfriend refused to eat food that had been handled, pointing out it was clearly cold, and the server’s response was to kick us out of the restaurant, claiming they had other patrons waiting. This was hands down the worst dining experience I’ve ever had. Rude staff, mishandled food, and completely unacceptable treatment. I would never return, and I strongly recommend avoiding this place.

I asked the waiter before my friend and I ordered if they have /serve old fashioned french toast and he quickly said yes. I got excited because I just came from the Kellogg diner in Williamsburg, and they said they don't make old fashioned french toast (which is regular sliced white bread dipped in the batter/mixture)! The waiter comes back after 5mins and said that they don't have what I ordered. I asked what happened and another waiter told me the chef will not make my old fashioned french toast because it's just one order and he won't make more of the batter. He said they have French toast with the challah bread and that it is already pre-soaked!!!! I didn't even get anything else to eat because of that. They brought my friend's food out right after he told me that, so we couldn't even just leave. There was no attempt at compensation for my inconvenience except to ask if I wanted something else, which why would I if the chef can pick and choose what they make. The pic is of my friend's chicken from his chicken and waffle, he didn't he touch it because it was over cooked and hard.

Never received my corned beef hash, monte cristo was not good and presentation was very dull, raspberry sauce was very bad felt like rubber. Hash browns had no flavor at all and door had a C grade which should be more visible btw not at the bottom of the door.

I went to this 24-hour diner around 2 AM and was immediately greeted by a server who looked like he absolutely hated his job. He didn’t seem happy to be there and treated us like we personally forced him to pick up the night shift. His attitude was cold and dismissive from the start. When I placed my order, I clearly requested no vegetables. He responded with “yeah, I got you,” so I expected it to come out correctly. However, when the food arrived, it was covered in vegetables. When I brought it up, instead of apologizing, he brushed it off and later told the manager that “it’s only a little bit,” as if that somehow made it okay. There was also a language barrier — he struggled to understand English since he primarily spoke Spanish. We even started translating our request into Spanish to make it easier. Despite that, he still didn’t follow through and prepared the order how he wanted. When I approached the manager, he said the server “doesn’t really understand English to take requests.” I explained that I had also given the request in Spanish. The response I got was simply, “Oh, okay, I’ll just discount your meal.” While I appreciate the discount, that doesn’t fix the lack of care, accountability, and professionalism. Overall, the service was disappointing, dismissive, and unprofessional. Late-night hours shouldn’t mean low standards.

V
Viktor Feo

The staff refused to seat me, so I left. About 90% of the tables were free, and only one sofa table was occupied (there are around 15 sofa tables in total). I politely asked to be seated at a sofa table because I didn’t want to sit at the bar or on high chairs. I was refused with the explanation: “If we seat you there, everyone will start asking for the sofas.” Excuse me? Isn’t it better to seat a guest where they feel comfortable when most of the restaurant is empty, rather than lose a customer entirely?

Zachary Cowan
Zachary Cowan

They said we couldn’t sit unless we ordered food, and then right before we finished playing cards, they said we can’t play cards because it takes up table space. But, the diner wasn’t even half full! Mood ruined

I would not recommend this diner to anyone. The manager was extremely nasty and unprofessional. My friend and I took one simple picture inside the restaurant, and he became visibly upset. He spoke to my friend in a disgusting and disrespectful manner, which immediately made us uncomfortable. Because of how he treated us, I asked for the bill right away. When it came, I noticed he had added an extra fee of 20$. The server said if there’s a problem take it up to the manager. I politely asked what the fee was for, he continued to argue with us instead of giving an explanation in a respectful manner. It got even worse—he walked over to my friend, grabbed the grilled cheese sandwich and plate right out of her hand, and told us not to pay then and to leave. I’ve never experienced such rude and aggressive behavior from a manager. It completely ruined what was supposed to be a nice meal. Save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else where customers are treated with basic respect.

Waitress Johanna with the colorful dreads, the fact that you accosted my group of 6 for not ordering more than 4 items is AWFUL. Especially when our party was in at 1 am, and still celebrating our Bride to be’s bachelorette evening- WHICH YOU KNEW FROM THE GET GO. The fact that you even tried to make us feel bad for not ordering more food because “the bus boys need to be paid” is RIDICULOUS. There were tables EMPTY all around us. What happened to kind service? Would never recommend this place to anyone. And Johanna, fix your terrible attitude.
