Avis sur Salma New York
We started going to Fattoush by Salma about three months ago. We used to visit Salma, but one time they were fully packed and recommended we try their new location—and ever since, we’ve been hooked! The food, the service, and the atmosphere are all top-notch, and the prices are very reasonable. The servers are amazing. We genuinely love being there and can’t stop recommending it to friends and family. Natalia, Marcella, and Gigi are unbelievably courteous and truly know their job well.
One of the BEST spots for a group dinner + birthday. Came here with 4 others and set a reservation the week before (call to do so). They were always super sweet and flexible and even have a bring your own bottle option (does require minimum purchase, for us it was apps and 3 platters). Even with 3 appetizers and 3 platters + tip, it was less than $150. Some of the best Lebanese food I've had in the city plus the coziest environment. Great service and people, plus they even helped us celebrate our friends bday with a little dessert (she had no clue and was surprised). Bonus if you are gluten free since there are soooo many GF options.
We had a very tasty and satisfying small dinner which consisted of an appetizer of perfectly spiced lamb sambousek with a chicken shawarma wrap split between us. The one chicken sandwich was ample and more than enough food for both of us. Our waitress Marcela was very elegant and explained all of our questions about the portion sizes, ingredients, etc. She was very accommodating, bringing sauces like gatlic yogurt sauce and red chili sauce to complement what we ate. I thought the decor was very tasteful and calming with beautiful muted colors and Middle Eastern touches.
We had a wonderful dinner here on a Wednesday night. The food was delicious and the space very comfortable. And the service was also very good and not pushy. We ordered the appetizer plate for four and the mixed grill supreme. Everything was perfect and easy to share. It is also BYOB at no charge. Highly recommended!
Every dish felt fresh and full of flavor. The wrap was loaded with tender meat, crunchy vegetables, and rich, creamy sauces. The mezze with hummus hit every note perfectly. The setting is welcoming with vibrant seating and a cozy, authentic feel that makes the whole experience truly enjoyable.
I almost don’t want to leave a review so I can keep this place to myself! The food was incredible - the muhammara and fig hummus were unreal. The fig hummus was sweeter than I expected so it was nice to have something more savory to balance it out. We also got the mint lemonade, jallap, and arayes with cheese and everything was delicious. The drinks were both in slushie form, and the jallap was made of rose water and not too sweet. All so flavorful! The service was excellent, quick and very kind. Looking forward to my next visit!
I’m stuffed like a grape leaf. Everything that came to my table was out of this world. Fresh, delicious, authentic, homemade and made with love. My compliments to the chef and owner. Staff is beautiful and atmosphere is beautiful and cozy and colorful. I’m bringing my family back.
We stumbled in looking for a spot in the West Village on a Saturday night and managed to grab a table, and WOW. Truly one of the best meals I’ve had in the city. Everything was divine, free glass of wine, and the chef came out to bring us different things he whipped up while we waited. The restaurant is too small for all of the people they need to have here!! There should be a line around the block.
Always a wonderful experience at Fattoush! The food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented! the wrap was packed with juicy meat, crisp veggies, and creamy sauces, while the mezze and hummus were just perfect. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with colorful seating and a cozy, authentic vibe that makes you feel right at home.
Authentic Lebanese food. The kibba and fattoush were my favorite. I really enjoyed the fig hummus which was on the sweeter side but oh so good. A must try in the neighborhood.
Came here with a few friends a few weeks ago (after a workout class so we were appropriately starving) and tried a smattering of things that were all wonderfully delicious. We had the beetroot hummus, tabbouleh, kebbeh, sambousek, and cheese rolls. And decided to split falafel and the shish tawouk platter which was so perfectly seasoned and cooked. There were still so many things we didn't get to try but I will definitely be returning. Also, side shoutout for the mint lemonade - refreshing!
Had an amazing time at Fattoush! The food was so fresh and delicious. Amazing service staff, owner and lovely decor. Overall a great experience and can’t wait to go back again soon!
We were starving in New York and ended up having Lebanese food — it was absolutely delicious and so satisfying! Every bite felt like comfort after a long, hungry day Liza was so helpful in choosing the meal she was humble and kind loved her kind gesture
Liza and Natalia were incredibly accommodating and attentive, the service here was 11/10 stars, the food here is beyond! We had the appetizer for 2 and the grape leaves were delicious!!! Just run!!! Don’t walk here!
Have you tried any Lebanese or Mediterranean food? This is YOUR place! Great service, magnificent food, and awesome flavors! Fresh salads, veggie rolls, juicy and spiced meats! You can indulge yourself with these Lebanese food and take a dreamy trip to Lebanon. 100% recommended even if you're not in the area! Thank you for an amazing dinner with my wife!
The food was so good, and so was the service! We got the appetizer for 4 people and it was such a great portion! The quality and variety were amazing, and the atmosphere was great! Come to this restaurant😄
Nevermind the delicious food, their hot sauce is to kill for. Marcela is very pleasant! I used to wonder why the place is always packed and now I know exactly why!
Everything we had was amazing! The four person appetizer platter was the best part. Marcela kept us happy and hydrated. Couldn’t ask for more.
Everything was amazing. Our wonderful server, Natalia, was incredibly kind and accommodating, and the owner personally made sure everyone was happy and well taken care of. This is one of my favorite restaurants, and I will definitely be coming back. I would recommend this place again and again!
Salma is delicious! We ordered takeout, and -all the food was fresh and flavorful. The serving sizes were generous as well. When we picked it up, the staff was lovely and caring. We’ll absolutely be back soon!!
Our experience at Salma was fantastic! My partner and I went for my birthday and Sharbel, the owner, was so kind. We got the mixed appetizer platter and the shish tawook platter. The shish tawook was so good I forgot to snap a photo! The meat was juicy and the hummus a perfect balance of garlic and lemon. We ended with tea for 2 and then Sharbel brought out a slice of Kunefe for a birthday treat. So so good, we will be back.
Wow what an epic meal and amazing host. Owner went above and beyond for us. Got the family style platter and was so much food. All the meats were cooked perfectly and flavorful. Amazing mom and pop feel with truly exceptional food and service. Will be back soon.
OMG this was the best chicken shawarma platter i’ve ever had and the msakka was my favorite appetizer!! the owner is so sweet and humble. seriously some of the best food i’ve ever had for a very reasonable price! GO ASAP!!
Salama was on my to go list until I visited today. It s a cozy, cute place. Great food options they're Batata Harra and Hummus was fabulous. Tabouleh was good but a bit extra lemony plus I had the mix gril, kofta is to die for and the chicken kebab as well the meat was a bit chewy I think it was medium rare. Over all it was a great experience. Staff was very friendly and helpful, he treated us with a special teapot.
Impeccable service and delicious food! I was served by Marcela, who was very kind and attentive throughout the entire experience. The filet mignon shawarma was incredible tender meat, perfectly balanced seasoning, and soft bread. The mint lemonade was the perfect complement: light and refreshing. I’ll definitely be back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a flavorful meal and great service! Thank you so much
I can’t stress enough how delicious everything was! If having Lebanese food is your favorite thing to eat, you have to come here. Try the kebbeh (it was my favorite✨), the halloumi cheese for a nice salty treat or the mixed grill (chicken and lamb skewer and Kafta 😋). A 10/10 spot in NYC. Special thanks to Marcela for being so sweet and attentive 🫶🏻
in the middle of a busy saturday afternoon, three hungry abu dhabi aficionados were looking for respite of their beloved lebanese cuisine. on the quiet and green 12th street, there lies salma, a thoughtful, generous, caring arabic mother. hummus and labneh greeted as from their eyes/ min ayuni. i felt the breeze of the mediterranean sea. shukran salma… shukran.
I ordered a bunch of shawarmas & fries for my birthday picnic and they did an AMAZING job. they cut them into 3 pieces just like I asked and not only were they SO delicious but looked beautiful on my spread. I was so glad they were easy to eat with nothing falling out. Came with delish sauces and they delivered right on time. Thank you Salma!!
Generous portions and a nicely designed, cozy restaurant. We arrived around 6 pm without a reservation and were seated immediately. At that time, the restaurant was about half empty, but by around 7 pm it became packed. I noticed a shift in service once it got busy—it was harder to get the waitresses’ attention—but they were still very friendly. The food was delicious—especially the cheese roll (puff pastry with mozzarella and feta) and the Shish Tawouk, which was perfectly grilled and flavorful. They offer complimentary tea served in a teapot, though it’s made with tea bags. Loose-leaf tea would be a nicer touch, but considering it’s complimentary, it’s still appreciated. Overall, a nice spot for casual dining.
I love a cafe or restaurant on a side street, particularly if there is outdoor seating. Salma is precisely that. This quaint Lebanese 🇱🇧 restaurant offers all the classics. We sat outside for a late lunch on a quiet weekend when the weather was perfect. Everything, including the lemonade, was clearly made with fresh ingredients. The Muhammera was delicious! I had a ground lamb sandwich, and my wife had a similar one with chicken. I highly recommend trying this place if you are in the area.
~Little Lebanese gem but big taste~ What a wonderful little restaurant! Falafel and Chicken sandwiches are delicious. Fattoush salad is fresh with a nice touch of pomegranate. Would love to try other dishes in the near future. Atmosphere is rustic farmhouse filled charming little flowers and plants. Waitress is kind and welcoming.
I was excited to try this spot and have some of the food based of the reviews. I ordered the Kebab wrap and wasn't impressed by it at all. The coffee I had was old but the server said it was fresh. Disappointed when I saw her picking it out of the microwave and the color wasn't up to par. The fries were the best thing I had on the menu. I'm happy I didn't get the platter because food seemed like it wasnt prepared well seasoned. Food was disappointing, restaurant had no one for lunch. Definitely will not recommend.
