Was once a bar called horsebox but now it's spikes! it has some good beer and shot specials, we went around Halloween and there was a scary clown holding beer! Oooh, spooky!

It's a quaint Irish bar with a good variety of beer. A nice place to watch a game with friends, get drunk and eat food from nearby pizza/taco joints!

Every bar's got its constellation of regulars: regular staff, regular patrons, regular vibes. Truth be told, Spikes energy isn't quite for me--something about the slightly frenetic energy of 14th and A seems to trickle into the space and makes it ever so hard for me to relax and ease in. But every time I'm there, I can see from the regulars around me that there is a good connection among them and a good energy between them and whoever is working. If you like a slightly raucous energy with games, a few TVs, and a view of the craziness of Avenue A, maybe you'll become a Spikes regular yourself.

Its a good after work spot. Bartender is fast with the drinks. You can bring food in but they dont have any food options. I wish the music choice was better its old and not upbeat

I went and it was empty just one adult female on the bar she was looking at me so I wave 👋 hi she smiled the bartender went and said not to speak with her I asked him why ? He couldn't answer me so I guess he was c***k blocking me plus the bar need cleaning is dirty anyway do go!

Spent money for 2 people and not one buy back not going back there anymore

I got stabbed in the neck with a dart. Just overall really weird night Had 2 Shirley temples, 2nd one there was orange lip stick on the glass. I think I saw the bartender with that shade on him. Oh well, pizza across the street was good.
