Not too crazy about the decore but their food definitely made up for that. Excellent kabobs. Their meat is very flavorful and moist. Definitely get their lamb kabob and lamb chops. Their babaghanouj is a must! Love the smoky flavor and clean taste. It was nice and fluffy and perfect with their hot pipping bread.
Daily lunch 🥙 place with delicious Uzbek cuisine and reasonable prices! Lovely girls provide good service and always ready to help you with choices! 5 ⭐️ from me 👌👌👌
This place was amazing. Ordered a few apps and different types of skewers. Everything was delicious. The wait staff was great, the ambiance was beautiful and the prices were very fair. I'll definitely be coming back soon!
Food is amazing, manti w meat are to die for, delivery pretty fast. Kebabs melt in your mouth.
Warm and charming. Birthday cake with a candle was amasong. Food delicious, staff extreamely friendly, waitress Farzangiz even took our group picture in professional manner with beautiful lighting and setup. Everybody looks great on it. And price was really affordable compared to next door restaurants.
Everything is fresh excellent food
Delicious food, but not all. Compote was terrible without any fruits. Only liquid mixed with water. Feeling drink water. And cost too much for this compot. Before they did compot absolutely perfect with fruits and was delicious and exactly compot. Salad made from old tomatoes. Noise atmosphere.
One of my favorite restaurants in the neighborhood. I love the beef and salmon skewers. Their lagman soup is great. Their rice pilaf is delicious. So many good things here. Their lunch special is a worth a visit as well.
Service was great and shish kebab even better. Loved the food and atmosphere. Parking is a bit of an issue so give yourself good 15-20 min to find it. But you'll not be disappointed with the food. Highly recommend
We live near by here but had never tried. We walk in one day evening with my family and the food they officered is amazing! Samsa with lamb are our favorite!
Great place all fresh and tasty barbecue and soup. Nice lagman!!!
Everything is so tasty! The servers are always really nice too. The atmosphere is very relaxing and spacious. Love to get their samsa, chicken and lamb sticks, lagman soup and Asian pilaf!
Highly recommend Stix! I celebrated several birthdays there with my family and also used them for take outs. Pleasant staff, delicious food, great variety on the menu and very clean. Try their kebabs, especially salmon:-)
Great place! Food is always amazing and never fails. Quality is top notch. Their shashlik is absolutely delicious and tastes very fresh every time we go.
I’ve been coming here a lot with my friends and family. and I must say this is one of the best places to eat in Queens fresh food made daily .service is great food is authentic. central Asian waitresses out of this world customer service I definitely recommend everybody to come and try
Always fresh and delicious food, great service and very fair prices. Love to come here with my friends and family!
Six for Stix. They get 6 Stars. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟Amazing food. Amazing price. They know what they're doing. I come here every time I'm in the area. The place has a great vibe and atmosphere. 👌 Perfectly succulent shish kebab, meat, fish, you name it! Great menu and great price. Full Mediterranean/Uzbekistan cuisine. Great appetizers and entrees. A great place for family, friends or dates. _____________________________________________ Taste ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Service ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Atmosphere ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Price ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ _____________________________________________ FoodMeet rates a restaurant experience on the following 4 categories: Taste, Service, Ambiance, and Price. I’m having lunch almost every day ! The food is delicious , staff very friendly ! The special lunch is the best here , included soup and meat and side dish and bread and soda only for 13$ it nothing for that much food ! Lovely place👍🏻
Tristin, lanie and Alyssa are awesome. Exceptional service above and beyond. Great crew of professionals!
Amazing chef and great service. Highly recommended. It was our fifth time we went there and we'll definitely would come back again. A great place to celebrate a family birthday 🎉
Amazing food and service!! Always love coming here, the staff is friendly and accommodate your every need, highly recommend this place to anyone
I had the chance to eat here on Saturday night. I've eaten at over 10 Bukhari restaurants in Queens, and this is definitely the best I've eaten. With the price being incredibly cheap, the service excellent in the small, intimate place, the quality of the meat is truly excellent. Everything is 10/10.
I had the lamb ribs, fries and some salad, delicious!!!😋. I will definitely come back!!
The waitress stacked my leftovers unevenly, and only realized after she tied the bag. Then she opened the bag to organize everything again. So nice or her. Beef kebabs and babaghanoush is everything here. And of course the famous uzbeki bread.
Amazing experience at Styx Kosher Restaurant! Delicious food, attentive service, and beautiful ambiance. Highly recommend for a special occasion or night out. 5/5 stars!
I love this restaurant, food is delicious, service also nice !) Almost every day I come for lunch.
Great night at Stix! Food was delicious and waiters were super friendly! Will definitely come back for more!
Food was fresh and tasty. The waiters are very good and the overall experience is great.
Great food and service right in the neighborhood
I have been coming here for years, not one dish I can say was ever bad. The kind of place I will be coming to for many more years!!!
The place is great! Very friendly staff, great service, the food is delicious and really highest quality.
5+ stars excellent food, large portions. Prices are mixed but all worth it. Have never got anything I did not like. Even their tea is exceptional. Totally recommend. Staff is friendly very good service. Pleasant atmosphere nice dramatic lighting and background music. You don't feel like your setting on top of everyone. Luncheon special during week is a must but everything on menu is lol.
We eat here on two or three occasions every year. You don’t need to speak Russian to eat well in this place. I get chicken lamb and steak on stix (kebab). i had a soup that was one of the best soups I ever ate. I tried different salads dumplings and meat pies and they’re all delicious. The salmon skewers i tried were a revelation and i doubt they will ever be appreciated by more than the local culture.
Like always, great food great service 🤩 great staff .well lit . Very clean well Catered I always have a great time. I got to know the all the WAITERS. like I said amazing Amazing staff love coming here .
Amazing food, amazing service! Highly recommend 🤍
Number one restaurant in Queens Stiks yes Come visit this restaurant
From the moment you come in to the moment you leave everything is amazing. The food is super delicious. The waiters are very attentive. Thank you for an amazing restaurant. There are many cuisines like this in queens however this one beats it the best. From the chicken to the lamb to the liver, ploff, manti, and all the salads. Fresh and tasty. You will not regret coming here.
I ordered the lunch special (comes with one kebab) I ordered an additional kebab since I normally eat two. The kabobs, the soup, the rice, the bread, were all fresh and delicious. No wonder I always see them full at night.
Excellent experience, delicious food, great service, will definitely come back to this amazing place!
I frequently visit STIX and always have an amazing experience. As a vegetarian, I am delighted by the wide range of options available. The kutabs with spinach are absolutely delicious. The fries worg mushrooms is amazin. The variety and quality of vegetarian dishes make every visit truly enjoyable. Highly recommend it for anyone looking for great food and service.
This place is beyond incredible. The best beef and baby chicken kebab I've ever had in NYC. Maybe even the best I've ever had. Excellent, responsive service. Was too hungry and busy eating to even have the presence of mind to take photos, which I normally always do. Only downside is location (for me) but I'm glad I made the trek.
When my friends ask me about some good authentic food I always tell them to go here. The best kosher restaurant! I especially recommend beef skirt, samsa, lagman soup and chef salad! Service is also on top, I have a favorite waitress, she always takes our table, such a polite patient girl even when it's very busy. Sometimes I order delivery, they are pretty fast and the food never disappoints. Love this place 10/10!
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ *5 Stars for Stix in Queens, NY* Oh, Stix, you beautiful culinary temptress! My friends and I stumbled into this gem last weekend, and let me tell you, our taste buds are still sending thank-you notes. The food was so ridiculously delicious that we turned into those cartoon characters who keep ordering more plates while their pants creak at the seams. We started with the dumplings—plump little pillows of joy that melted in our mouths. Then came the skewers, each one a flavor bomb that had us giggling like kids in a candy store. By the time the samsa hit the table, we were in love and out of control, waving down the server like, “MORE, PLEASE, WE BEG YOU!” The food was so good, we forgot how buttons work. Halfway through, I had to unbutton my jeans to make room for more of that crispy, savory, oh-so-perfect chebureki. My friend Dave tried to “pace himself” but ended up with sauce on his forehead and a dreamy look in his eyes. The staff? Absolute saints for not judging us as we waddled out, belts undone, grinning like we’d just won the food lottery. Stix, you’ve ruined us for all other restaurants. We’ll be back—probably with stretchy pants next time. 10/10, my waistline hates you, but my heart’s writing you love poems.
I had an experience in this restaurant, my server was the best ever in my life!!! I forgot her name but she is very kind and sweet. The food was delicious and incredible. I recommend this place, you never regret it!
Styx left a really great impression. The atmosphere is cozy and stylish, and the music isn’t too loud, so it’s a perfect place to relax and enjoy your meal. The food was fresh and delicious, and the presentation of the dishes was beautiful you can tell the chefs really care. Special thanks to our waitress Shaha she was very polite, attentive, and friendly. She helped us choose from the menu, explained everything clearly, and made sure we were comfortable the whole time. Service like this makes you want to come back again. Definitely recommend this place!
I orders on Uber eats from Queens too Brooklyn..it took long time to come but when it did come it never disappointed..Roastfish was top bins ...love the kebabs..keep up the good job
First time here and didn’t know what to expect. The server made many recommendations and our business meeting attendees were impressed with the flavor. Everything was delicious. Wow! Will be back!
I love the food at this place. They serve the best Shiskebabs & French Fries with Garlic & Kropp. And of course, their super fresh & tasty salads that I can eat every day if I had the patience to make them. Last but not least, the service is excellent. The waitresses are attentive, fast, and they don't forget anything... Plus, they go above & beyond. The decor and overall ambiance of the restaurant is very good too.
Wow was I surprised by this place. Went with a girlfriend for lunch and had a great time. We got the Shurpa soup, it only had one piece of meat in it so even though it's cooked with beef & lamb, you don't get both. The fresh herbs in it were delicious! We also got the fresh homemade salad and Korean carrot salads which were both good and grew on you as you eat them, so they just get better during the meal. The steamed dumplings were good and the kabobs were so good! We eat got 3! We stayed for probably close to 2.5 hours and the restaurant didn't mind. It's a great place to meet up with an old friend and catch up on life!
My new favorite place for uzbeki food - I am particularly snob for manti - more often than not they have lots of dough and lack on filling, NOT this place. Paper thin dough, juicy, delicious filling. Salad are fresh, kebabs are tender, tea is flavorful with some hints I can't recognize (but they bring in childhood memories). Strongly recommend.
One of the most desirable kebab places in Forest Hills-Rego Park areas. We have visited many times and always noticed a new dish. They have quick services, friendly stuff and fresh kosher meals to take out or eat in. Newly added private room is a great addition to current place for birthdays and private events. Stix has a large selection of professionally prepared meat entries from kebabs to A + steaks as well as many fish dishes to order. Salads are prepared to order all fresh.
Our first time experience at this Uzbek restaurant was amazing. We ordered everything based on the photos from Google reviews. Every dish was so good and the price was from $8 (soup) -$28(entree) not too expensive. We love the smoky eggplant appetizer, the smoky flavor is impressive and perfect with bread. We also ordered a lamb rib and a liver kebab those are so good too! They know how to make meat! The liver kebab is actually very tasty, tender and moisturize your month with some fat. Stop by next time for local business and Uzbek food.
I've ordered from 5 different Uzbek joints in the area and this is by far the best. All the sauces /seasonings have explosive flavor, mantis and samsas are bursting with juice. Glorious. Adjusting the review because of a somewhat disappointing delivery experience. I would recommend dining in person
Go for the food, not the atmosphere. Perfectly grilled skewers - we shared beef, chicken, lamb, salmon, and veggies. Yummy Israeli salad. Though french fries softer than standard American restaurant fries, I really like them - festooned with greens and garlic. Perfect FH neighborhood place, and certainly also worth some travelling.
We went twice in 2 weeks because it was so good. My wife keeps Kosher so it is hard finding Kosher meat that is good and doesn't break the budget. Stix fit the bill. Skewers of delicious meat averaged $4-$5 a piece. My favorite, surprisingly, was the veal sweet breads. Awesome! Chicken, Beef and Lamb are all great. Ground lamb and beef was a bit of a let-down. Appetizers were very good as well. Asian Pilaf, traditional Uzbek style rice steam simmered with chunk of lamb & beef, onion, carrots and chick peas was fantastic. Whether you keep Kosher or not, try it for yourself!
It was my first time there with my wife.the food and service was about standard.but i was shocked to see a sign to pay with cash!.the sign says cash is the king.let keep cash alive and we retain the value with cash.this is very rude and funny.because the add service charge on your bill and when you want to sign up for your card again leave a space for the tip!!! .
Nice atmosphere and good service. While awaiting the rest of the party had a draft German beer. Very good. Non-drinkers had a pots of green tea in decorative tea pot in porcelain tea bowls with side of sugar cubes and candied ginger. Babaganoush and warm bread, dumplings and Israeli salad for starters then assortment of delicious kabobs(9). Beef, 3 different chicken(liked the bone in, all were good), salmon and Sea Bass (best) . Fries with garlic (wasn't crisp today) only downer. Ended Turkish coffee with rock candy stirrers.
The restaurant is very popular in the community and I waited about for 20 mins for a table on Sunday nights. The food is above the average of the kebab and the price is about 10% higher. For the price and taste, I have a few better options in NYC, but this restaurant is much cleaner than my those options. This is a plus for this restaurant.
Not having tried Uzbeki good before, my family and I thought it was solid. Good: Fresh and warm bread, mellow dips, and properly cooked meat. Good-quality tea and cute teacups. Unique decoration and prompt service. Also, someone had their birthday and they gave them cake and celebrated in a special way with music and lights :) To improve: rice and salad were okay. Servers could explain better about the menu but they are super busy so it's understandable.
One of the best kosher restaurants in the area. The food is always very good, the ambience is decent and comfortable, with plenty of seating. Still, be prepared teether make a reservation or to potentially weight during busy times because it is popular. Good shish kabob, excellent soup, very good fare and portions and decent service. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is because there are two restaurants in this area that are excellent, one Skittle further out in Regina Park that is truly spectacular.
Great quality middle eastern food. The beef lule and beef kabobs are very delicious and by far they have the best chicken kabob around the burbank/Glendale after. The only down fall of this place is the seating is terrible when it is busy and the soda machine is always empty, seriously it's always empty.
I had the lagman noodle soup which is a must try. Nice chewy texture of the noodles and a savory broth. Ordered a fried Manti and a steamed Manti, imo the fried one was far tastier. Also tried the Lola kebab with French fries. Fries were delicious but a little salty, wouldn't order the Lola kebab again. Overall a decent place for a quick lunch. I will say that I got many many stares and looks as I sat down to eat. Borderline uncomfortable, enough to make me want to get up and leave. The server was nice enough but patrons ..meh.
The food here is very good and often times I would say that it is worth the wait. However, sometimes they can get very backed up on the phones and you may end up waiting longer than you had anticipated for your order, which can be a very frustrating experience especially when you and your family are very hungry
Finally tried Stix Kosher. Ordered takeout so I had to wait. I ordered veal liver kebab and lamb rib kebab. My husband ordered the beef kebab platter. The veal liver kebab was amazing! Cooked perfectly. The lamb ribs was not bad but I would try something else next time. Beef kebab was cook right-not dry like other places. However, for the price its a little expensive for the amount of food. I would love to try other listed on their menu but with price and portion, not quite sure.
Got some takeout. Both the lamb and chicken were pretty good, but not amazing. The fries were soggy, but strangely still delicious. Babaganoush was probably the highlight. I'd go back for that. Serving sizes were a little small for the price. Overall I'm in no rush to get anything again (other than the babaganoush).
Food is okay … a little bit on the pricey side. They add 20% tip by default. Better options available.
The food was decent — nothing special, but not bad either. Some dishes were better than others, and the flavors were just average. Service was fine, and the place was clean, but there was nothing that really stood out. Not a bad spot, but I’m not in a rush to come back.
The kebabs were good especially the lula ones (very flavorful). The lamb kebab not so much, it was too chewy and not enough seasoning. The breads were not what was expected. Didn’t like breads at all, the one that looks like a pan was crunchy which was not mentioned in the menu. 3 start for the experience. The service was nothing good nor bad but when we ordered 2 breads the server could’ve mentioned some details about the them since we are obviously not Uzbek. This restaurant is more suitable for the Uzbek’s than someone like me that went to to experience Uzbeki dishes.
Service was great. Fast and polite. Food was so so. Lagman far from good, dough is not hand made. Worst from any other place in the area. See bass shishkebab 5 pieces $10.50, and two pieces was uncooked. Black tea with very bad smell and test bad. Only liolia kebab was good. I want to talk to cheef, never came out. Never come again, and not suggest to anyone. Waste of time and money. Very disappointed.
I can totally understand all who ever gave them4 or 5 stars…they can be deserve it. In our case, Service was horrible, the food was OK, no more…& we eat a lot Uzbek food in the area. We got there on Sun. For lunch around 2pm, 4 diners. The ambiance / Design was beautiful & restaurant looks clean. They had ONLY 4 table occupied, and 3 server on the floor, + we saw 5 people behind the counter…so total 8 employees ..serving. We made our order immediately, we know the food. We got the 2 different salads…both tasted the same, actually no flavor at all & they looked sitting there for a week. Bread & Drink came quickly…not as we ordered & missing the ice we requested 3 times - never got it. After the salads arrived, we waited 25 min. Then the 1st Fish Skewer came COLD with no flavor at all, 10 min. Passed, 2nd Fish Skewer came (both Fish for ONE person). 10 min. More, 2 more skewer came for the 2nd Guest….we asked where is the rest (for other 2 diners) the server had no answer or idea. After 10 min. Another 2 skewer came, 4th Diner still waiting…5 min. After we got the Plate for him. ALL THE Skewers were. COLD, almost unbeatable …we ate half , asked for the bill that came in SECONDS, we paid, left & never will be back. Big Disappointment !!!
The food was fresh but not worth the money AT ALL seasoning was horrible the flavoring was off and didn't compliment the side dishes well. I found myself gagging while forcing myself to eat it just because I didn't want to waste the 15.00 platter. Their tandoori bread is amazing and service is kind but for the amount spent you should look elsewhere forever
Never going back here after having been there 50+ times. They rushed me out on a first date. We arrived 6:15 I was told to leave by 7:30, at 7:10 they started taking our food away and brought the check. Spent $100+ and the service was horrendous. Extremely dissatisfied and disappointed.
Last time I came I found the quality to be a lot better (this was maybe 6 years ago). I came this time and while the food is good I found the waitress to be snobby. The place is well lit, well designed etc. However, this isn't exactly a Michelin star restaurant but this waitress acts like she's too high end for customers. An attitude adjustment is definitely in order as staff need to understand you are serving customers in a professional environment and thus need to check attitudes at the door before clocking in (or at least leave them off the floor)
Asked for a coffee, attendant said ok then owner or manager woman told me and my disabled father to go to the deli for a coffee.. pretty shameful. we werent rude or disrespectful in any way. We politely smiled and left.
Terrible experience was in my first time. Food wasn’t cooked well. I asked the manager to come talking with me but never showed up such a disrespectful I don’t know how the owner hired such stupid workers.
Oily hard day old rice. Fries are soggy and gross. This is while eating in for lunch. Kebabs were ok. Management lady and waitress staff don’t care either, after I let them know. And I came with a friend, wanted to introduce them to the restaurant for good food- failed. Stix used to be good. What changed?
The worst customer service ever. We ordered food for office to celebrate birthday today and it was late for an hour without any explanation. We called several times and no one could explain us where is driver. The waitress keep hanging up on us, we asked for owner but no one transferred. Birthday party was ruined. Do not use this restaurant. Worst customer service, no food on time.
Went there today for my birthday 9 people got food my kids didn't even touch it food was dry and no seasoning at all will never go there again and waters was very rude . I had to tell them to whip the table they have no common sense at all . AND THEY HAD VERY BAD ATTITUDE . IF I COULD GIVE A 0 STAR I WOULD . DON'T RECOMMEND IT AT ALL . GO ELSE WHERE
The worst worst worst place to eat ever. I am coming this place many years service always horrible but this time was disgusting. They serve main course first and i had other 3 courses as a starter but they give meat first without salad rice or even appetizers. Then when i ask my appetizer first they literally give me ice cold samsa. Server instead of saying sorry she was with horrible attitude, and when i insisted to ask manager. They didn’t even tell manager noone come to talk!!! And they call this place Kosher!!! Dont waste your money and time with these horrible service and below average food!
Their food is fantastic, but we won't be ordering from them again because their service is horrible. Our order was delivered incomplete because they were short an item... and didn't bother letting us know until AFTER the order had left the restaurant and was just a few minutes away. That's the second time we've been burned by them, and the last time.
Extremely unhappy with the service that was provided on June 25 air conditioning as broken and Extremely hot 🔥 no consideration for anyone expect for making money in place that has no air conditioner working and putting 3 fans thinking that it is going to cold off in what world do u think that this is we are not in Uzbekistan or samarkand to deal with heat of 90 plus degree in a restaurant business that had over 60 plus people at least and I understand that there is a reason but it is not expectable to also charge full price for ur inconvenience of a broken down air conditioner i would like to be completed compensated or at least partially refunded back my money i spent over $500 that day
Never again. We are here for 6 years or so but when they changed owners they also changed waitstaff and the current waiters and manager frequently mess up are orders or bring the food out in parts. Today they forgot a big part of our order and we decided to skip it, say nothing but when the check came they charged us. We politely requested they remove the charge and they refused claiming they would have to pay for it. And then suddenly all this meat that they had forgotten to bring out was magically ready as we were completely done with our meal. We again explained we didn’t want it, we were done, they had clearly forgotten about please remove the charge. They aggressively argued again they would have to pay for the meat they forgot to give us during our meal like it was my problem. Such a shame because I had enjoyed my meal despite them forgetting the beef and prior to this interaction. And then I came here and read the other horrible reviews and was grossed out so we will not coming back
These scammers add a 50% tip from your order to your check. The food is so bad. There are only 4 small dumplings in the "dumplings" portion ) I have never seen such a thing in my entire life. Such insolence I have never seen anywhere else. Be careful in this eatery. While you are eating you can get hit by a cart with products that are unloaded from the truck loaders.
I used to come to this place years ago when the food was always delicious. Unfortunately, that’s no longer the case. I’ve given this place many chances, but the food has consistently been terrible. I honestly don’t understand the 5-star reviews. Have these people ever even tried authentic Uzbek food? Or are they just comparing it to the limited options in Brooklyn? I can’t believe people are willing to pay for food of this quality—it’s honestly ridiculous.
Came in last night, felt an awkward vibe. The environment was thick, felt a bit discriminated, and my girlfriend decided to leave.
First time experience had few minutes ago, was ordering the food for take away , the girl who took my order asked to wait for 15 minutes, after waiting for 15 minutes I decided to ask nicely the same girl to PLEASE to check if the order is ready, but instead of yes she looked at me with no answer I was waiting for the reply since there was no word hearing back thought may be she didn’t here me and asked one more time with a PLEASE since I was in a rush. But what I heard back and saw shocked me the most. Just hearing with a rude voice “just give me a minute”….and rolling the eyes on me 🤦🏻♀️. This was my first and last time going to that place and ordering something. I do understand people get tired by the end of the day but this is not the way that clients suppose to be treated in the restaurant.
