Avis sur Tasty Hand Pulled Noodles II New York
A shop that lives up to it's name, you will find very tasty hand pulled noodles in several different varieties to enjoy. The noodles are offered in a wide variety of soups or pan-fried options. While most items have meat or seafood, there are about half a dozen vegetarian options. While they are not hand pulled, I recommend the knife cut noodles #5 in the vegetarian pan fried dish. Every dish comes with vegetables providing a nice balance. The original shop is in Chinatown with this #2 outpost in Hells Kitchen.
Alright… I almost don’t want to write this because I selfishly want to keep it all to myself 😅 This is hands-down the most well-hidden gem in Midtown. I love that it hasn’t been blasted all over social media with influencers lining up outside pretending they “discovered” it. And now that I’m writing this… you’ve gotta promise to keep it low-key. Because this is, without question, the best hand-pulled noodle spot in all of Midtown. Every single dish is made fresh to order — you can taste it immediately. Nothing rushed, nothing sitting around. Just straight-up, made-from-scratch goodness. Now fair warning: the place is tiny. Like, “hope you like your neighbor” tiny. Be prepared to squeeze in. But trust me — once that bowl hits the table, you won’t care how close you’re sitting to anyone. The noodle soups? Incredible. The fish ball soup? So comforting. The vegetarian dumpling soup? Absolute sleeper hit. And the fried noodle dishes? Some of the best I’ve had anywhere. Period. So if you’re ever in New York City and find yourself hungry in Hell’s Kitchen, this is your move. Just remember… we’re keeping this between us
amazing food, amazing service, and the food didnt take too long. it was a nice experience the fried dumplings were very good and the resturant was very cozy. There was a good amount od people in the resturant which gave me hope that the food would be good and thankfully it was. i will definately come back soon!
My experience at tasty hand pulled noodles was fantastic! I had the most delicious food in the coziest room ever. All the fresh noodles were incredible! 100% recommend
Awesome handmade noddles. I get the Chicken or Mixed Lo Mien with Knife Peeled Noddles. Also have gotten their Chicken Broth Soup with is great. And I have gotten their Wonton Soup and Pan Fried Dumplings. It’s all great. Each table comes with toppings so you can alter your spicy levels. Everything is also made in house and continues to exceed expectations and the quality never falters. I’ve probably been here 20+ times and the food is always excellent.
This tiny whole in the wall storefront offers outsized taste and great value in Hell's Kitchen. A secondary location to Chinatown's origiban spot, the same subtle noodle soups are offered here along with spicy chili add ons for those winter meals. Bowls comes out quick and hot, stop by for a meal or pickup to dine in the office.
I go to New York for work pretty often. And every time, I go straight from the airport to Tasty Hand-Pulled Noodles II. I feel as though I go to New York just for this. I sit down and order the pan fried vegetable noodles. They come quickly, and I get ready for the spiritual experience I’m about to have. The world melts away with delightfully chewy knife cut noodles, fresh and perfectly cooked vegetables, all brought together with the sauce of your dreams. The candy they give with the bill is the cherry on top. My friends and family all know this place’s full name because I wont shut up about it. I cannot recommend this place with more fervor and passion.
Awesome old-school, hole-in-the-wall authentic noodle joint. Plenty of vegan & vegetarian options plus all the traditional meaty broths and choices. Food comes quickly, is packed with flavor, fun to eat/slurp, and you can get the noodles in soup or pan fried, fried rice, and lots of appetizer options. Everyone in my party loved their food whether it was beef, veggie dumplings, tofu, or pork dumplings. The cold cucumber app was also a hit. The seating area is small so be prepared to wait or take out and eat in a nearby park.
Excellent lunch/dinner spot. As a Chinese American who eats dim sum (steamed, after frozen), scallion pancakes (air-fried, after frozen), and noodles on the regular, I was initially unexcited to go with friends to Tasty Hand-Pulled Noodles II. However, I was quickly impressed. The food was ready in the blink of an eye. All fried items were crispy without any signs of burning. The food was pleasing to the eye (esp. knife-cut noodles) and flavorful. My favorite was the fried pork dumplings. Their oozing juiciness could not compare to air-frying any store-bought frozen isle dumplings. Waiter was polite and as fast as the chef. What I think would make the experience even better: • If the same crispiness could be achieved with less oil (reason: oil hampering the aftertaste) • Noodles (not soup variety) were flavorful but a bit dry • Menu is good in that it shows vegetarian options, but for a first-time visitor, the number of options was overwhelming. Would prefer a symbol next to chef's recommendations. Overall, my stomach was happy.
Tasty Hand-Pulled Noodles is one of my favorite places in the city for hot comfort food. We came on a cold evening snd were quickly seated. There’s a variety of sauces at each table, but I tend to avoid most except for the metal tin with chili oil and the soy sauce (can’t verify the freshness of the other accompaniments, but you aren’t coming here for that). I ordered the pan-fried noodles with beef, with the fat noodles. The dish came in about 5 minutes, and was steaming hot with a heaping portion of noodles and meat. I have eaten here at least 5-6 times and every time has been remarkably consistent. This is a must-eat if you want warm noodles in the city!
want some noodz? not that kind (get yo' head outta the gutter haha)--the stir-fried kind or the soupy ones. this location is a tiny spot in Hell's Kitchen with several tables indoors. there's table service for those who want to dine in. clean, casual, brightly lit--good for a lunch or dinner. a good spot when you want low key quality eats. wanted a meatless option and the menu has plenty. was more than satisfied with my takeout order. ordered the pan-fried noodles with veggies—chose the extra wide noodles. the noodle were nice and chewy—yet soft and soaked in the vegetables flavors and spices. the noodles and vegetables had a light flavorful sauce poured over it which made it a satisfying dinner option— a good balance of carbs, fats, and veggies. the serving is ample and plenty for one person. pan-fried noodles, $11.50 + tax + tip. if you are looking for weekday options when you don’t feel like cooking, this is a great option. the staff was friendly. food is made to order and this location does a lot of delivery so there will be a short wait at primate time eating hours but the wait isn’t too bad and the food is worth it.
Small place that can make you forget that you're in New York city for a little bit. There's always some Chinese pop music playing and the food feels homey in the best way possible. A bowl of noodles here is almost like a warm hug from home. Their dumpling sauce is also really tasty and I highly recommend getting some pot stickers.
I got takeout here- ordered the Special fried tofu dry noodle. It was pretty good except the tofu was absolutely soaked in soy sauce and was painfully salty. Everything else about the dish was good, and there was fast service, good packaging, etc. I’d recommend this place if they adjust their tofu marinade!
Excellent fast service, delicious hand pulled noodles. I especially enjoyed the pan-fried small flat hand pulled noodles with beef. Beef was slightly chewy but good flavor. The noodles are so good! The Jay Chou music playing is nice too. Interior was small as others have mentioned, but it wasn’t too busy and we were able to get seats immediately.
We got the Veg hand pulled dry noodles. They were different than expected and not the traditional ripped flat noodles we were expecting. We were the only customers here so that didn’t add to the confidence of getting promising food. The taste was pretty good albeit soaked in chili oil (and more was needed) to enhance the flavors. As other reviewers have mentioned, if you have sensitive stomach, avoid this place as well. We have a pretty healthy gut but felt kinda sick after eating here temporarily as well. My biggest gripe was the presumptuous mandatory 18% gratuity and the 3% card fee. Had to argue with them a bit to lift the 18% and leave my own tip. It’s a corner owner-run restaurant, why would there be a mandatory tip? The $13 dish quickly became $18 so minus stars for the clear bait and switch. Probably not going to be back here anytime soon.
Very tight and small noodle house. The food is not he most authentic but everything is pretty tasty. They have both pan fried and soup noodles as well as the type of noodle and many different toppings. They have a few soup bases and none of them the are that developed, a little bland IMO. My go-to is the beef noodle soup but I like to try their other offerings too. The lady that works the front of house is very hardworking and welcoming. Portions are pretty decent and a bowl goes for around $14.
If you're vegetarian, avoid this place! There are better options in Chinatown. Ordered the fried tofu noodle soup, took about 46 minutes and while the tofu was excellent, the rest of it was not edible- which was a shame given the long wait. The original tasty hand which is a couple blocks away is much better! When we tried to just ask for the status of the order (after half an hour), the staff was quite rude- also they forgot bits of our order!
This place had the worst hand pulled noodle soup. The supposedly hand pulled noodles must have been precooked, it was so soft. A toothless person would have enjoyed it, but as for me not so much. When I mentioned it to the waitress she had the cook come out and he said that is how it’s done, end of the story.
