What a lovely alternative to the sea of fast food restaurants all over New York City. I got salmon tonight with steamed vegetables and plantains and avocado. It was absolutely delicious.. their chicken and roasted pork look amazing as well.

I was looking for something healthy and delicious. I found it here. Wow, it was good. I got the grilled chicken with roasted peppers and onions, mashed potatoes and salad. The mash was cheating on the healthy but oh well.

One of the best pernil dishes I ever had. It was cooked to perfection. The skin was nice and crispy. Pernil is a slow roasted pork shoulder, butt, or leg. I got it with vegetables and a little salad which were really good too. I have to come back and try the roasted chicken and salmon dish too.

Rice is very good definitely has a Peruvian fresh taste to it not like Puerto Rican rice but very good. The broccoli is outstanding. I’m gonna give it a 4.8 steamed and properly seasoned if you’re looking for a good broccoli this is the place to come.. the carrots and cabbage pretty good now for the main course which is the Pernil. Not oily properly seasoned not too salty good amount of water in it could be a little softer, but I can’t complain so I’m gonna give this one to 4.5- 4.6. I had the opportunity to taste the piece of the chicken from a colleague of mine. I’m gonna give it 4.3. It’s good. I would recommend this chicken, especially if you’re looking for non-fried wholesome home cooked food. This is the place to come to.. what about the beans? Beans are fresh. If you’re in a good mood for Peruvian food and some classic Spanish meals this is the place to come to. I give it one of my highest ratings. This place will not let you down.

Staff was very friendly, delicious food! We ordered both the pork with rice n beans and cucumber salad and chicken with rice n beans and pico de gallo - they were both really tasty. Also ordered three empanadas; pork, chicken and beef. The beef was the best out of the three in my opinion, chicken came second and the pork wasn’t bad.

The staff here is so incredibly amazing! It's always wonderful to walk into an establishment where the individuals are so respectful and make it feel as if you're not just another "customer" but, instead, that you're a valued member of the local community. I picked up and ordered food this weekend. Great in person service delivery was fast ,the delivery man was very pleasant. The rotisserie chicken is my new favorite, juicy,tasty with a house sauce that is absolutely delicious.Thr rice ,beans and plantains were perfect!! Will continue to order regularly.

I live in New Jersey and I had to make a stop on 14th street yesterday 3/21/24 and when I was walking I came across Tio Pio 👀 then I went to the place I ad to go after I finished I stopped at Tio Pio and grab some food before heading back on the train to Jersey, the food at Tio Pio is amazing and fresh I definitely will be back👍🏾the staff there was very nice to me and very welcoming🙏🏾 And fyi you get your money worth cause it came out meal for two And their beef empanadas with dipping sauce is amazinggg 🤩

I welcome Tio Pio to a block that I trust for quality cheap eats. Tio Pio delivers on what it promises, quality Peruvian food.that won't break the bank. So far, I have only had the beef empanada filled with shredded beef and potato and half chicken combo. All were very good with my favorite being the beans (it's my benchmark for restaurants of the type).

I have had food from here several times. The food is pretty good, the staff is very nice and friendly. I ordered the yellow rice, roast pork, Maduros, beans and potato salad. Everything was pretty good, except for the pork which was extremely salty today and it normally is not.

Amazing food, but prices can be inconsistent at times. They seem to fluctuate unexpectedly—perhaps due to inflation? Portions can also be a bit on the stingy side occasionally. However, the quality of the food never disappoints! I always go for the same combo: rotisserie chicken, yellow rice, yellow plantains, and beans… absolute fire!

Decent place to stop in for lunch. I get the quarter chicken with rice and beans or lentils combo here. It's a hearty and healthy meal.

I am using an app called TooGoodToGo. I use this app to help me save money when I’m traveling as a professional documentarian and a photographer. What I am about to tell you, you made want to think twice. When I was using the app and then operating this app for quite some time, I was expecting a lot more food in this! Time below, it was to be equally to $18 dollars for $4.99 and I’d receive this. A lunch box, Let’s be honest, in New York City do you think this is worth $18 worth? So I went back to this location without using the app and order a half chicken rice plantains mixed salad or for $12.95 And it was a lot of food. So my question is to this location or to this business establishment, are you practicing the right practices when you comes to advertising your food at the right price on the app called TooGoodToGo. By the way I’m doing a report on this app and trying to figure what restaurants are giving away the right amount of as it advertising on the app. IT was not advertised correctly, I’m also a YouTuber Please don’t take this the wrong way, I’m looking out for the people and the people must come to understand that if they advertise with a program to help save food waste, they they should stand by their advertising. I don’t know where to start, they skip my turn on the line not even an apologize, the guy serving the food is very nice but the girl in the counter was having attitude just because I had a little tasting of the beans on my plate that wouldn’t count as a whole portion, she charged me way much more than it was supposed to be. They don’t have public restroom, they don’t even use gloves while handling food, I have been eating in here many times but after this time I’m done with this place.

I tried Tio Pio for the first time by purchasing from TGTG, to pick up the food 40 mins before closing time. I purchased 2 bags and I felt like the person who served kind of judged me in a way because I was Asian? Although it was a surprise meal, I got exactly 2 of the same things. There were a lot of leftovers left, I would have appreciated if I at least got different meats. The grilled chicken given was sooo dry and the yellow rice was soo hard. The only good thing was the mash potatoes. I def don’t recommend buying meals from here for dinner as food isn’t fresh anymore. As much as I do love Latin food in general, I would not be purchasing from here again (not even for discount).

I was disappointed bought roast pork and paid almost $7.00 and adoration beans with chicken in a water and It came all together $24 That's pretty pricey it was all skin the beans were salty and chicken wasn't so good I don't recommend this place

Decent restaurat but food is overpriced for the taste. Service can be better. They looked annoyed when ask them a question. Only bad thing is they have one of the worst chicken empanadas I’ve ever had. Charge you $30 for chicken and rice with 2 sides and a drink. Not worth it.

Ordered a whole rotisserie chicken for pickup and it was completely raw inside. Unsafe to eat. I filed a complaint and never received a response. Save your money and go somewhere else. The photos speak for themselves. Update: After 5 days they issued a refund for the raw chicken. At least they responded, but receiving a completely raw and unsafe rotisserie chicken should never happen. Be careful when ordering here and always check your food before eating.

Вообщем заказал я еду через приложение Too good Togo, и оплатил его ! пришел забрать свою оплаченную еду , но мне не дают говорят приходи вечером щас нет , хотя время в которое я пришел было правильное прилагаю скрин шот , и это их вина что указали не правильное время иначе я бы не пришел ! Не понимаю в чем проблема была дать мне еду ! У них там много еды, из за этого они испортили свою репутацию , хотя там были наемные рабочий и им все равно на репутацию ! Надеюсь это прочтет хозяин заведение ! И скажет своим сотрудникам что в такой ситуаций лучше дать человеку еду и не спорить если это была ваша ошибка !

I normally eat at the 14 th street Tio Pio, the food is normally a nice portion and delicious. My deliver was awful. The oxtails had a lot of fat and only a few pieces of meat. Sauce from beans leaked in the bag. The container was not stapled.deliver person had easy Acsess to food. Rice and bean portion was so small. oxtails had no flavor. I ordered yellow rice the gave me white rice and the food was cold . Do not order delivery Go in person. This was awful !!!

Now I have ate some nice delicious SALMON in my time But, omg this Salmon was dry and tasteless. Now I work in the Chrysler Building so I'm around alot of different types of ways Salmon is made. Grill, teriyaki, etc and this Salmon was far by the worst . In addition the yellow rice was extra dry. Get a new chef with please!!!

My first and last time going. Ordered 1/4 chicken with rice, beans and a salad. Food has no flavor. Also check you bill....they charge an extra fee for credit card purchase even though I paid cash.
