Cute, busy little coffee bar off Lexington 4/5/6. Has all the little accoutrements that you’d want in a true coffee bar: the bar itself, water on the side, a vanilla bean steeped simple syrup, and good baristas. The latte was a bit foamy for me, and the croissant was decent. Lots of seating, everyone on their laptops (even on the weekend mamma mia 🤌🏽)

Today, we stopped by this coffee shop to have a cold brew. There are few tables on the sidewalk. It is a lovely corner. The cold brew wasn’t strong enough for me but I loved the flavor. Awesome experience.

Staffs are super friendly and pleasant. I got a cappuccino there’s a little bit acid flavor (in a good way) not sure if it’s come from coffee beans themselves or from the oat milk anyways tastes delicious. Would love to come around again when being close to the area.

I ordered 3 cookies. The Tahitian chocolate chip (super chewy loved it!), the sugar cookie and a confetti cookie. I also had a hot jasmine tea. The area is clean, the music is relaxing, and the seats are comfortable. This place is perfect for getting work done or taking a break.

Tone Chu

I live in the neighborhood and have been here a couple times. Solid coffee and nice interior seats (usually packed) and a bathroom. Water for self-serving. Good light for working for a while (but not exactly quiet space). Also, recently being on a hunt for good croissants, I decided to try the ones here. Not sure which bakery these came from, but pretty decent crispness and section cut! (Flipped upside down for better photo). The plain one is 3 dollars, which beats the price of most bakeries in this city as well. Recommend.

I am a huge coffee drinker and prefer local or new places. This was probably one of the best lattes and cappuccinos I have had in the city. Smooth, perfect balance and great coffee. Need vaccination proof to sit indoors. Will be back many more times!

Great oat milk latte. Great price (love the fact that they don’t overcharge for dairy alternative). Lots of space to sit indoor and outdoor and very close to subway station 4-5-6. I wish they had gf pastry options. Service was on point.

The vibes in Variety Coffee Roasters is really chill and the service is friendly. You can smell the roasted coffee bean from outside. It was crowded when we visited but the wait wasn’t bad on a Saturday afternoon. We tried their coffee and cold brew. The coffee was smooth with natural flavor, little sour and you can tell it’s good quality. For self-serving your coffee, they have choices from milk, oat milk, almond milk and soy milk without any additional charge.

Beautiful coffee place on the busy Upper East Side, 86th n Lex. Came in here for a mini coffee break after a long day of work. Ordered the classic Americano, very good espresso, nice aroma. Very relaxing environment accompanied by soft background music. Good spot to hop in after walks in the central park or your museums visits.

At their Lexington Avenue and 85th Street store I tried their oatmeal raisin as well as their chive cookies ($3.24 each, including tax). Each had a very mild flavor which was not satisfying. For the oatmeal cookie (pictured first), I give it a 6.5 rating on a scale of 1 to 10, the chive cookie I rate a 6. I have had other baked items here which I have enjoyed more than the oatmeal and chive cookies.

I would give 1 star to customer service and cleanliness of the cafe. The coffee station was complete mess, I had to pull out soaked in coffee napkins get one for myself. Bathroom was so-so too. The lady behind the counter looked very uninterested in doing her job; when I asked a question she gave me a look and reluctantly answered. The whole process of ordering and paying made me feel very uncomfortable and unwanted. Coffee was extremely good! I ordered americano and it was on of the best I’ve ever tried! I also had a strawberry filled coconut sponge cake which was top notch. I feel really bad for cutting 2 stars off; but I might tried a different location; but most likely never come back to this one.
