Great. Great. Great. Amazing food. Great service Fabulous atmosphere.
Amazing - Best breakfast ever! Coffee and strawberry cheesecake. Awesome staff, good percolated coffee, and friendly faces.
So I can't rate the service because we got it to go. Considering the amount of food we ordered it was delicious (BLT on a scale of 9.5)and we were back in the car within 10 minutes. And we ordered at the counter not ahead of time. The atmosphere was great. I felt as though I walked into a portal back in time. Different than the typical style diners that are made to look old. You know they got the red bar stools and the diamond plating. This place genuinely felt like it had been open for 60 years. I felt as though Sinatra was going to walk out of the dining room at any minute. Classy for a diner. So we were just traveling through to go to Georgia and thought we'd try it out. The desserts were amazing and my mom surprised us with a cannoli about an hour later on the turnpike.🤯👏🏻👍🏻 I do recommend the chicken soup. A lot of flavor it was wonderful. A lot of love and time went into that place
Classic diner experience, food is always on point, the staff are always super friendly and kind. I’m the owners are so nice. They also have a gluten-free cheesecake, gluten-free bread and know which items are gluten-free. The only thing that would make it better if they had dedicated fryer! That would help a lot or if they did gluten-free waffles or pancakes
All American diner and a fantastic breakfast. The server was perfect not overbearing but checked in just enough. The order came out exactly as asked for and the French toast is so fluffy its amazing!!
It had been years since we’d been to the diner after moving away, but we were back in town visiting our parents and it did not disappoint. The food was delicious, the coffee was fresh and hot, and we were greeted by a friendly, welcoming face. We’ll definitely be adding this spot to our list for the next time we’re in town.
Alexis Diner has provided such a wonderful dining experience for my family and I. The decor brings a nice atmosphere as well as the exterior lighting, which makes the establishment inviting. The food is delicious and offers an extensive menu. The staff is friendly and the service is fast. The restrooms are immaculate and smell wonderful. I highly recommend this diner!
Even tho it was a very busy dinner service, Food was Great, service too! Staff were warm & welcoming, not rushed or looking to turn the table over. There were 6 of us & we were all very happy & well fed! Thank you!
I was craving matzoh ball soup and this was the only place I could find it in the Newburgh area. It was fire🔥 not bland, and actually had vegetables. 🥳 Hard to find good matzoh ball soup north of NYC, but they delivered. Minor note: 1 huge matzoh ball in the small takeout. For the price, a couple smaller ones would be ideal. That said, the soup was excellent and the server was very nice. Disclaimer: this is the only dish I’ve had here.
Huge delicious burger, big fresh steak-fries with cheese. Awesome as always! Went back a week later. Sunday 6:30pm. Ordered cheddar omelet with fries & sausage. Excellent food. Better than the few & far between other diners. Way better.
My husband and I were looking for an unique place to stop on our travels back home from Boston. I happened to find this diner online. It was just a bit out of our way, but we were so glad we stopped! On the outside, it looks like an old style diner, but not so much on the inside. We were expecting something different in the decor, but my husband said there is an old style counter that I didn't see while looking around, probably because I was too busy staring at the fantastic looking desserts and cakes in the glass case as soon as you walk in. The place was very clean, kind of elegant with it's mural on the wall, and chandelier hanging in the dining area. The restroom was very clean and beautiful with it's tiled walls. Our server was awesome, taking his time with us, giving us recommendations on what to order when we asked. I had the Palermo Panini and my husband had the Souvlaki. Both of our sandwiches were delicious and the chicken was real, and I do mean real chicken, fresh and delicious. The fries were huge and crispy on the outside, but soft on the inside. My coleslaw was some of the best I have had, close to what I make at home, and you could tell it was freshly made. We took our dessert with us, a canoli and an eclair. We didn't eat them until a couple of days after our visit, but they were still just as good as if we had just bought them. If only it was closer to home, we would return in a heartbeat. So maybe, next time we are passing through, we will return. Thank you for making delicious, fresh food, for a fair price and it's obvious you care about what you serve. Sometimes these days it's hard to find a place like this, but if you are passing through Newburgh, NY. definitely check this place out. The menu is vast, you will find something delicious on it and you won't be sorry you stopped!
We had a great experience at Alexis today! Our host and waitress were outstanding. Food was on point and plentiful. Loved everything: Cream of Turkey Soup, Fried Chicken & Fries, Chicken Cordon Bleu with mushroom gravy. Custard and rice pudding were also excellent. Finally, everything was incredibly clean!
Where do I begin! I’m picky about diners. This place was FANTASTIC. First of all, the place is very very clean. Even the glass/mirrors on the walls. The service was wonderful. Michelle was so sweet. She went a step further to make sure I got my corn beef hash exactly as I was hoping for. And the cherry on top, who I presume to be the owner was so observant to our interests in the dessert selection and realizing we had a hard time choosing what to pick, shows up with a full plate of different flavored cheesecakes and other desserts. My husband and I along with our friends are very very happy with this place. We will come back the next time we are in town 🤗 Thank you!!!
Not sure why so many lower reviews? Each time I visit here, the food is fresh and prepared perfectly - and with homemade desserts! Chicken kabobs on greek salad was outstanding

Neat place. Gives a small town old school diner feel. Seems clean and taken care of. Food came out quick. Menu is pretty good except they don’t notate there’s ham in one of the paninis I chose. So I had to send it back but no problem was given. Waitress was really kind and sweet. Fair prices with generous servings. Plenty of parking available and has ramp for wheel chair accessible.
Went here a few months ago and just now I review this place. Went with the family for a good old breakfast diner experience and overall it was good. The service was pretty good, quick, accurate and kind. Good atmosphere also. I had the Garden Omelette with potatoes and toasts, they were good. If im around on another time I will definitely visit this place again 👍.

Stopped in here while on vacation. Our food was good, our server was good, but clearly very busy. We waited a long time for our check because our server was very busy with other tables.
Ordered a philly steak but barely had any in it... I haven't been here in a long time, but still very clean. Nice atmosphere bathrooms were very, very clean. Our waitress was good, but she was a little short and she did not thank us for coming on the way out. Although handed us the bill and knew we were going to be on our way out , and I still love the fact that no one ever tells anybody to go to the register to pay , which would be the optimum time to say goodbye and thank you for coming
We were on a mini road trip and saw this place just as we were about to head to McDonald's. We were seated quickly, our order was taken promptly and water was served with our drinks without needing to ask. The waitress was very nice and the food was out to us fairly quickly. My friend and I decided to share a sampler; she ordered a side of mac n cheese with bacon, and I, a side of waffle fries with cheese. I was offered a selection of cheeses, and I chose American. When the food came out I was a little surprised to see the cheese was just sliced American cheese just slapped on top and a little over-broiled. I'm not one to complain about small things, and I did say American cheese...what was I really expecting?!👀 The mac n cheese was much more than a side order but again, why complain?! The mac had little to no flavor and the sauce was a little chunky. The sampler comes with zucchini fries, which were gross and soggy, we left those. The chicken tenders were like something from a school lunch. When we were ready to go, we had to flag down our waitress, who was chatting it up with a family in our section for way too long. Not worth the $54.

I used to love eating here and picking up food on the way home from work at times. But with my recent order, I was very disappointed. The soup I got was flavorless, and the salad had rotting vegetables in it and little to no toppings. And no pita which is normally served witb a greek salad. It was also over 30 dollars for a soup and salad. And no, I called the order in. I did not use door dash. The prices have gone way up, and quality has gone down. Really sad about that. But I don't think I'll be ordering from here again.
I had probably the worst chicken gyro of my life. I chose chicken because the alternative was beef -no lamb and I was afraid it would be dry. This version had two thin slices of chicken not quite deli type but close. The fries were good so for that I gave it two stars. The gyro deserved one if that. I should stick to breakfast in diners. Can’t go wrong with that and very wrong with a gyro.
Run away quickly! Terrible management and incompetence servers. My husband & son came for breakfast and paid $23 for a western omelet and added Bacon/sausage no peppers. When questioned management …

I read the reviews before going and they were mixed. The food was dry and over cooked, like they used no butter or olive oil to cook anything. Order a side of bacon with our meals and the bacon was salt in meat form. I do not recommend nor will I ever go back. Be warned ⚠️
