CP Restaurant & Lounge

My family and I have been coming here for years. Cindy the owner is very friendly. Also, the food is really good. During Covid-19 I've ordered takeout from them a lot and we'll be ordering again this Saturday night for a Father's Day dinner. The portions are very generous and the food is great.

Absolutely fabulous and amazing food. My friend who lives in NPB brought me here! I was thrown off by the sign that said hamburgers and I didn’t try the burgers but what I did have was excellent. Food was super tasty; spiced right; fresh and brought out hot!!! I’m from San Francisco but this place has my favorite Asian spots up there beat!!! I’m taking all my friends here when I visit from now on...it’s a mandatory destination stop!!!

Having an event at CP was probably one of the smartest decisions I have ever made. Me and a group of 70+ of my friends had a formal event there and all I can say about CP is that it was amazing. The catering service was phenomenal, the bar service was just as great and the environment was spectacular. Everyone who attended the event said that they had a wonderful experience here. If you plan on every hosting an event here, you will not regret it. I high recommend CP.

I love this place. I had some fantastic fish tacos and very tasty wrap. Really goid ice tea. This place is really high end. My friend Judy took myself and several other friends. Over the top good food and really top notch service. 10 10 10 10 10 10

Love this place. Best Chinese food in town, and great drinks. Staff is always nice and friendly. Excellent Cashew Chicken, and California Rolls. Love the Crab & Asparagus soup although it is expensive.

You know how it is when it comes to craving good Chinese food; you just NEED it and CP (formerly China Palace) has been my go to for decades. Living in Arizona now, every time I get to Mariner's Mile/Newport Beach it is on my list of go to places. Great Won Ton, awesome Hot and Sour Soup and my favorite, Serrano Chile Chicken make it worth the trip. I have tried so much of the menu and have never been disappointed. Also don't forget they have some of the best Sushi in Orange County...jpm

My husband and I LOVED this place! Their poki bowl was sooo yummy and filling! My husband loves their orange chicken, perfect amount of rice and sauce, spicy but not over powering! Their food is delicious and the service is polite, quick, and friendly! There was soft music playing and the setting was pretty quiet and classy! Great atmosphere! Definitely will come again for many date and family nights! ❤️❤️

We always come here for dad's birthday and the staff is really great. They sometimes put a personalized bday message on one of the TV monitors too! Oh, good food too. :)

It's weird, but not in a bad way. Not crowded (ever), no need to valet, nice patio albeit right on PCH, and a strange mix of cuisines, modern and retro stuff going on. Sushi and Chinese and some American fare, shabu-shabu set ups at the bar which also has big TVs for menu item display (who does this in US these days?), Video Fishtank, and Sports too. Oh, and a ping pong table. Food is good - not stellar but not three star caliber either.

Service was WONDERFUL. This is a great little place. Only complaint is that the food wasn't completely to my liking - however, my family loved it. All taste, really.

Dealing with this restaurant was the worst experience of my life last night. We put on a fundraiser for Foster kids there for 120 people. The owner Jack started yelling at us before the event started, changing what was agreed upon and continued to be unprofessional and yelling all night at us. They didn't let our patrons park in the parking lot! They had encouraged us to have live music but then last night said they couldn't sing or play the music through the microphone! All of the performers had called in advance to check on the equipment too! They didn't provide the food we had agreed upon and paid for. Many people did not like the food either. They ran out of plates so served paper plates. The wine glasses they served were plastic and dirty! They said they would donate a $100 gift card and did not come through. A few days before the event they said we had $3,000 bar minimum and the night of said other people not in our event didn't count towards it. The night of said we had to have a 2 drink minimum per person also.They forced our people to wear wristbands that night to keep it separate. They said they had enough tables for our raffles but in the end we had to rent tables to bring in. They were completely unreasonable to deal with and did not keep their word. Both Cindy and Jack changed things the day of and were mean. I personally do not ever want to step in that place again! I've never been so insulted and mistreated by a business owner.
