i love the place here! The lady in front was so chill and nice. Lowkey everybody was just doing their own thing enjoying the food and stuff. The cream puffs were so good too.

From the moment I stepped into the store, I was struck by the warm and welcoming atmosphere. The staff went out of their way to be attentive, friendly, and genuinely helpful, which made the experience even more enjoyable. On top of that, I had one of the most delicious and beautifully presented puffs I’ve ever tried it was truly outstanding and left a lasting impression.

Butterdose – East Village A great new café in the East Village! They have a wide variety of drinks and plenty of pastry options to choose from. Prices are reasonable, making it an easy go-to spot for coffee and snacks.

I stopped by Butterdose in the East Village and tried their cappuccino and matcha cream puffs. The cappuccino was smooth and well-balanced, with just the right amount of foam. The matcha puff was light, airy, and filled with a rich, subtly sweet matcha cream that had a nice earthy kick. Both items were beautifully presented, and the cozy, minimalist vibe of the café made it a great place to relax for a bit. It’s definitely a spot I’d return to for a sweet pick-me-up.

I just had the most refreshing cream puffs I’ve ever had, ideal to have during this NYC heat! I tried the Chocolate Banana, which looked almost too pretty to eat, and it was cool, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. Their menu ranges from Ube Coconut to Tiramisu, with illustrated breakdown of what’s inside each puff, which I really appreciated. The cashier was so kind and patient while I made my choice, taking the time to explain the flavors. The space itself is bright and inviting with cheerful yellow decor, travel-inspired touches, and even books you can flip through while enjoying your treats. A must-visit spot for both foodies and anyone looking to cool down with something sweet!

I bought three flavors to try: black sesame (goma), matcha strawberry, and coconut ube. My favorite ones are black sesame and matcha strawberry. The puff are crispy, and the dual flavors cream matches perfectly!!

Delicious desserts and cool coffee shop. I wanted a spot to read and eat something sweet. This hit the spot. Everything looked amazing, so I took the recommendation of the server to get the Matcha Strawberry and Chocolate Banana cream puff. So happy I did. I’d definitely love to try other flavors. Next time!

I wish I could start every morning with delicious pastries and baked goods from here! This place is an affordable and local, family-owned pastry cafe in the East Village! They’re known for their cream puffs, which come bite-sized and wonderfully crafted into different flavors and toppings! There’s a wide assortment of other delicious treats to choose from, including sweet or savory biscuits, cookie croissants and cheesecake, plus all sorts of coffee and matcha drinks to choose from. So tasty!! You can’t go wrong treating yourself to something here!

This is the cutest family owned cafe 🍵 strawberry matcha latte 🍵 mango matcha latte 🍰 cream puffs: black sesame, matcha, tiramisu, banana chocolate Cream puffs were soft and the flavors were subtle which I like! The matcha drinks were delicious but my fave was the mango one! Cute aesthetics and the server there is so friendly too!

I really needed a hot drink because of the cold day and this place did not disappoint. I ordered a strawberry matcha latte (hot) and it was really good. It was a good amount of matcha with a hint of strawberry with every sip. The display of cream puffs enticed me and I couldn’t resist. I got a rose lychee flavor…and it lacked rose flavor, but you could taste the lychee because of the topping. Would come back here because of the cute decor inside, you could do work here and to try the other cream puffs

Butterdose has some really tasty creme puffs! They have a variety of creme puff flavors from strawberry, rose lychee, pumpkin, ube, chocolate, yuzu, and tiramisu. I really liked their strawberry sakura creme puff, it was so good. I liked it better than their pumpkin flavored creme puff. The creme puff was really flavorful and their creme was absolutely splendid. The creme puffs were medium sized and were a pretty decent size. The interior design of this store was really nice and chic. Their chairs and tables were so nice. It was beautifully decorated and there was ample seating inside. I also loved the graphic designs in butter dose. The employee of the store was nice and polite. They weren’t rude or anything. Overall, customer service was good and my creme puffs came out quickly and in such a cutely designed box. Price: $3.75 💸 Rating: 9.5/10 📝

Cute cafe with fantastic tea drinks and phenomenal cream puffs! I met up with a friend here for coffee, and we were both quite impressed by their treats; I'm usually not the biggest cream puff fan, but they did a great job achieving a light, airy pastry shell with a rich but not-too-dense cream filling. I opted for their black sesame puff, and it packed a solid nutty black sesame flavor without being overly sweet. The teas are also nice and refreshing, and perfect for a hot summer day. There isn't a ton of seating available (but that's par for the course in NYC), but there are a few small tables and a little bench available to the side. I love how bright and colorful everything is, as it creates a fun, upbeat vibe, and the staff is all super friendly!
