Dario Macocco

Traditional Piedmontese cuisine made with truly local products, uniquely flavored by the healthy and superb climate of the village of Nomaglio. All ingredients, sauces, jams, and toppings are homemade and sourced from the fruit harvested in the gardens adjacent to the restaurant. Even the oil and wine are locally sourced and delicious. Carla and her daughter, Paola, cook with respect for the seasons, drawing on recipes handed down by their ancestors. Also not to be missed are the local cheeses paired with homemade Corniolo jam and the ice cream made with seasonal fruit.

Accompanied by a dear friend, we discovered this small, clean, and decidedly welcoming town. The restaurant is located right in front of the fountain from which it takes its name. In addition to the typically Piedmontese à la carte menu, there are a couple of set menus with samplings of multiple dishes. Everything is excellent: from the mixed appetizers, to the ravioli filled with minced meat and herbs, the roast beef with a side dish, and the chestnut ice cream. Pride of place goes to the cabbage soup, which we tried off the menu but was recommended by our friend: a balanced explosion of flavors, despite the cabbage and melted cheese. We'll definitely be back! Highly recommended!!!

We had a lovely dinner, with plentiful, high-quality dishes. You can choose between the 25 or 30 euro set menu or à la carte. We ate outside, overlooking a tiny medieval square. The staff were friendly. The only downside to eating outside is that you sit on backless wooden benches, which are a bit uncomfortable. The homemade apricot ice cream is excellent.

A simple trattoria in a small town that's incredibly satisfying. Authentic, tasty home-cooked cuisine and a very helpful and friendly staff. A great place for excellent lunches, both with the daily menu and the à la carte menu.

Not far from Ivrea, the small village of Nomaglio is ideal for those seeking tranquility and relaxation. Burnel is a classic osteria with a daily menu and the option to find polenta practically every day of the year. I tried the typical spring herb menu. Everything was excellent! Special mention for the ajucche soup! The price is a bit high, €30 excluding drinks, but sourcing seasonal herbs is certainly not easy. One note: the chocolate salami was way too alcoholic!

An ideal place to enjoy typical Biella and Piedmontese cuisine, with a reasonably priced menu. The spacious dining room offers a panoramic view. It's also located in the heart of Nomaglio, a charming village in the Serra area.

The food was simple but delicious: the crepes were good, the roast veal was good, and the side dish of potatoes and carrots was good. The bunet was also good. The service was decent, the atmosphere clean, the staff friendly, and the prices reasonable, like those of a trattoria. There's also a splendid view of the Canavese morainic amphitheater, and to get there, you pass through the well-maintained historic center of Nomaglio.

NEVER COME BACK TO THIS PLACE!!!! We decided to stop here (our place was closed unfortunately). We booked lunch with fix price. The first course was not so bad, but it's nothing common with other places (you feel baf quality of the products). Second course - is terrible. The kitchen should be shy to give old potatoes for the clients! (It looks that they made it one-two days before). The woman in cassa didn't ask about the plates, how we enjoyed/not enjoyed. The wine was awful taste I said about it to the waiter. Nothing apologized. Terrible food, we will never come back again!
