L&L Hawaiian Barbecue

Food was awesome and service was fast. Ordered the loco moco, chicken catsu, and a salad and all was delicious. Only thing is the fries are regular and not steak which would’ve been better with the dish.

Omfg this food was bomb, I ordered while hungry which was stupid , I got the value plate that feeds 6 people,it has BBQ beef n BBQ chicken, some other chicken rice, hells shit, beef Simon, mango smoothies, loco moco, and omg I can feed a family

My husband and I ordered for the first time at L&L Hawaiian Barbecue and we were so impressed. The food was delicious! My husband got the mixed plate and I ordered the chicken Katsu. The french fries were perfect. Crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The chicken was so good. There was a lot of food, so get ready for leftovers the next day. Ignore the bad reviews, this place is hidden GEM!

This is good food. Some of the people who are commenting are just looking for something to complain about. The place is doing its best. The location is large and the rent must be high. The food is solid and that’s why we come. And we will keep coming until that’s not the case. Thank you for your yummy delicious food that my family loves.

Sorry when it comes to pic's I always forget. But believe me when I say the pic's they have are just what you get. We had fish and shrimp. Was crispy, fresh and hot. I can be picky about my fish and shrimp and I must say it was fried to perfection. Service was nice and professional. Place needs updated but was clean.

Wanted some musubi and garlic shrimp but ordered seafood combo and a chicken katsu special instead. Service was nice and efficient. The chicken and seafood tasty. Our favorite is usually the mac salad.

The food is good and very typical for a plate lunch (meat/entre + Mac salad + rice). The cashier was friendly and easy going.

I love eating here but I wish they offered a salmon or tofu option for vegetarians and pescatarians. If they did, our whole family could eat here and we would eat here more often.

The portion was excellent! Service was average, the atmosphere felt a bit lonely. But since it was to go it was alright overall, the barbecue chicken platter is a great start!

Definably worth a visit. My friends recommend this place. I had the BBQ beef Saimin. Ramen served with a nice broth which wasn't too overpowering. Noodles were nice and meat was good dipped with some sauce. My only issue was my food being served in a takeout container. I had difficulty opening my soup since it was overfilled with hot broth which made it slightly annoying. All the orders I think are served in takeout boxes. Overall I was satisfied with my meal. I'd give it another try. The Hawaiian lemonade tea was also good.

I'm not a huge fan of sweet and savory together in one food item but this place makes it happen. I'm not saying it is better than food you get in Hawaii but I've only been there once, (when I was younger and poorer) so I wouldn't know. Order their spam musubi or any of their musubis really. You won't regret it. The coxes are pretty good too. And I ordered their garlic shrimp and was really impressed as well. They give good portion sizes. I love taking my child here after gymnastics. The staff are really nice about me using one of their condiment containers to give my child water while we wait for our to-go order. (I do this instead of getting a cup, which they've asked me if I'd like, so that he won't spill it everywhere). They've never even mentioned anything about when I give him soda water cuz he loves bubbles. And when I'm here it's pretty empty generally so they've definitely noticed. But it's that sort of thing that keeps me coming back.

Inside the restaurant looks rundown the bathroom could be a little cleaner I ordered some food to go I had a mini hamburger steak I guess mini they’re really means mini They didn’t give me a full scoop of rice Plus They gave me some barbecue sauce what was rancid I like the food better at the L&L Hawaiian barbecue restaurant in Santa Clara. I think the Novato restaurant is mismanaged !

Should have realized the food was going to be bad the minute I walked into this empty restaurant. I ordered the fried fish which smelt and tasted like it had been sitting in the bottom of the freezer for years and then deep fried in two year old oil. It was awful and after tasting it I decided I would get sick if I ate it. What a total waste of money, it I didn’t want to take any chances of regret and getting sick. Also, the tossed side salad came without any dressing and the fries were fried in the same old oil as the fish and were too salty. There is nothing fresh about the food. I feel ripped off and will never eat here again.

So we ordered 2 orders of teriyaki chicken to go. Both plates of chicken came totally dry. We called them and they said it does not come with teriyaki sauce? OK... so your chicken teriyaki has no teriyaki sauce??? I'm I missing something here?

i had a ride with lyft last friday july 08/2023 and i left a shoebox sized package in the lyft driver's car and since then i have tried numerous times to contact the driver and various lyft offices across the bay area and I haven't been able to reach anyone and haven't heard back. bad experience with this company is bad driver
