A hidden gem! My daughter and I bumped into this place on a dark rainy afternoon. Inside space was a little tight. Everything was cozy and Very Clean. We ordered 2 meals and both were tasty. Competitive prices and all the waiters were attentive. Overall it was a positive experience. They seemed to have a strong take out business.

I love this place! Sushi Tri has the best sushi in Marin, no question. The prices are higher but that reflects the quality of the food. The special rolls were as delicious as I remember. My only disappointment was that the service was confused and disorganized. We had to open our own bottle of wine and request some dishes more than once. Still, after living in Washington for 2.5 years, it was wonderful to return and enjoy such fantastic sushi. Don't miss it!

So first of all, let me say when we got to the restaurant, we were the only people there - so the service may be slower on a busy day. However, this may be my new favorite North Bay sushi restaurant. Absolutely delicious, unique rolls. Fresh, higher quality ingredients (even down to little things like tobiko being a better crunch than what you get at most spots). The service was exceptionally quick - if we weren't the only ones there I'd be worried at how quick the food was coming out. Everything was delightful. I look forward to coming back.

This was a good spot to have some lunch after a long hike. The staff was friendly and the place has some charm. My son loves his california rolls no avocado and fancy looking 👌 😋. It wasn't the cheapest experience but it was a great one.

Fantastic food! Friendly and attentive service. We ordered the Bento box, and Carpaccio. Both were very flavorful and fresh. Staff are very friendly! 10/10 Would recommend!

Sushi Tri is tremendously delicious and correctly priced. My only grievance is that when you get miso soup to go, they put it in a container that has a small hole in the lid and they do not double bag that container so by the time you get home most of the soup has sloshed into the bag that holds the full order. It’s very annoying. Otherwise, I adore Sushi Tri

What a great little sushi spot! My husband and I were looking for a quick bite to eat for an impromptu date and this was the perfect pick. They sat us at around 2:00 even though they closed at 2:30 and they were very friendly and quick. The food though….it was phenomenal. My husband and I have been looking for a great sushi spot with fresh ingredients and masterful rolls and they absolutely nailed it. We ordered the Warriors roll, deep friend Philadelphia roll, shrimp tempura roll and another one I cannot remember the name of, but wow. Just delicious. Good job you guys and thank you for such amazing service considering we arrived so late.

Dined at the restaurant on a Saturday night and reservation is recommended. Great and quick service and didn’t have to wait long for our order. Prices are very reasonable for great sushi. Sushi and sashimi are served in generous portion, and they are delicious. Would definitely dine here again when we are in town again.

The sushi is well done and delicious. The shrimp noodles fry is good if you like clam juice. If you want to go there, I recommend you arrive early, because they are very busy. We had to wait about 20 min, but they have 2 couches there.

The newest sushi place in Novato. It's a modern take on the traditional sushi establishment. The quality of fish here is EXCELLENT! The staff is good and it is very common to see the owner/manager mingling with the customers/locals. Edit 07/04/22: One of my family's fave spots in Novato. We've been coming here for years and have seen it evolve a little bit. We believe that it change ownership a couple years ago and seen small changes here and there. Overall the food and quality of fish sourced has still remained at a high level though. Oddly enough, one of my favorites is their chicken wings. You can't go wrong with any of their rolls though. The hot mama, dragon, lover's, Romeo & Juliet, caterpillar, rock N Roll rolls are all my faves. Their Ramen is pretty awesome too. My last visit I tried the Spicy Tuna Taco's and that was pretty fun. When you go there save enough room for the fried banana dessert! We love eating outside. It has a cute little scenic area. However we noticed that it could be cleaned up a little bit. Lot's of spider webs, random pieces of weather beaten furniture, etc.

We were driving by, googled sushi, and found this gem! My entire family of 6 loved this restaurant. Service was wonderful. Atmosphere was great. We ordered 6 rolls to share and my little one got chicken katsu. The rolls were so good that we ordered 2 more rolls. Food was fresh and tasty. We loved that the rolls were not mostly rice. Would definitely come here again.

After I spent 100$ dollar for old nasty fake sushi not authentic at all. With flies everywhere .... That gave me food poisoning and diarrhea and made me vomit I'm so sorry 🤢 to be so detailed but this is truly upsetting .....and it was truly the worst night and morning of my life and I missed work. It was horrible.... But after I spent 100$ with my family and I the younger waiter dude seemed to be very upset that we didn't tip him I had a feeling and load behold right before we packed up the kids and the food to go he said his exact words "can't you tip?! Americans tip ! ! We where so insulted after having spent that much of our hard earned money .on top of that we were born in Mexico. Born and raised lol so we told him we are not even American with class no disrespect.loo he felt very dumb and he should .he kept apologizing.but the point is he's a racist and I have American friends who are like family and very good people like ourselves we work take care of loved ones and survive . It's myself my wife and our three children and we both work but times are not easy for anyone in August of 2025. I just tried to do something nice for my family we rarely go out to eat because we usually cook at home which is how I was raised in Mexico. My madrea only did home cooking .maybe cheap maybe the whole stock we had to help prep but it was all home made and down from the rice beans meat fruits veggies even can be picked or bought or sold or grown and I know coming from his country he has experienced the same so I just pray for people ignorance.i also went one more time just to try it out and give the benefit of the doubt maybe that night was off or a bad night. Well we came back this time with friends who where African American the same thing happened to us again after packing up the same young skin y frial young man came and said the same remarks nots remembering us from last time. And guess what there not Americans either the Jamaican Hawaiian creole born in hati and the islands from his wife's side lol .so this time I went to his manager and higher up told him this it the second time with video evidence and he is pulled the young man to the side and told him to go home the young man came back and apologized twice before leaving ...but to me that didn't mean anything it shows his true colors . Just wanted to write this unfortunately we love sushi but everything taste store bought as well the second time around not fresh no wonder why there always empty . .

Found Sushi Tri while looking for ramen spots in Novato, but went for the sushi and wasn't disappointed. Went to dinner with our younger children(5+7), and there were other families there. Great menu selection with good prices, and quick turnaround on sushi dishes.

Keep in mind that 99% of the time I do take out by ordering from their web page. It's never been a long wait and the order has always been correct. The staff are always polite and they have a great little waiting area inside.

I thought the dragon roll was really good but definitely small for the price. However, I would still get it again. I ordered from DoorDash and the service was still very fast and the quality of the food was excellent

Great service, nice outdoor dining with enjoyable surroundings. The chix teriyaki was a bit dry, needs sear/grill marks, but tempura and salmon teriyaki were 👌

Food was amazing but we had to keep asking the waiter multiple times to bring us one thing we would ask for. Took forever to get our bill as well..

So since quarantine it's hard to rate a place other than their take out options. Sushi has always been tough because I feel like it's best fresh. However this place does a good job of maintaining that freshness for the most part. They have great variety, albeit smaller portion sizes than you'd imagine. The quality is good, however one of two soft shell crab rolls had a fishy taste - guess it was just not a good crab. The price is typical, but again your portion sizes are a bit small. One thing I would recommend is the garlic chili edamame.

Came here twice. Food was alright. Nothing too crazy. Service sometimes good sometimes I can't find my server. Lighting is on the darker side. Seems to be a local family spot. I did discover the Omega3 roll to be pretty good hence the attached picture. Also had the Kappa Maki but they cut the cucumber into shreds which made it felt mushy. Also had the Rock n Roll. Mostly tasting the unagi sauce which is always a thing for me but nothing bring that.

Very delicious—the seafood tastes fresh and is well prepared. I ordered takeout, and the staff was very accommodating with my requests. They were attentive and made sure my experience was a good one. Condiments and utensils were provided. If this is the level of service over the phone, then their in-person service must be extraordinary among local restaurants.

I’m not sure who made this. But they need a refresh course. I’m not sure enough rice for half a roll was used on both rolls I ordered. I’ve never had an issue with this restaurant before… I hope this was a one off incident

Unfortunately I am a little disappointed. The first time I went here, I loved everything about it. The next few times, I have ordered takeout, it’s not been the greatest experience. During my last trip, I placed my order on their website, waited about 30-40 minutes to go pick up my food, as this was the estimated time ready on the website. When I arrived , no one else was waiting and I waited a moment to let the person at the register let me know they were ready for me but they didn’t and even when I approached the desk, no one greeted me or even told me “I’ll be right with you”. It wasn’t until I said that I was here for a pickup that she finally asked me for my details. She asked the other man that was also there and it turns out they never prepared my food, however, they didn’t tell me this and instead just told me to wait. I waited for another ~30 minutes on top of the ~40ish minutes I had already waited previously. I wouldn’t have been as upset if they had just told me and if they had been friendly. I understand that restaurants are short-staffed and it’s busy but I also feel like communication and friendliness goes a long way. As for the sushi, I feel like it is very overpriced for both the taste and quality that it is. I ordered the dragon roll and even though it comes with avocado they only put the tiniest pieces in only half of it. Same thing with the shrimp, the smallest pieces. I don’t know that I would recommend this sushi place anymore

Editing bc this place has gone WAY downhill since the original management and staff have left. Food and service Subpar at best. You cannot beat this sushi place in Marin County for prices, quality, quantity and service..... it's superb. The best in the county. Just wish they were open thru the lunch to dinner time!!

Biggest ripoff in Marin County. I spent over $40 and got the world's smallest portions of food. There entries are smaller than our other sushi places appetizers. And then to top it off, the food was not very good either. Not going to order from here again. Instead I will spend my money at Matsuyama on Front Street in Novato. Their portions are WAY bigger for the same price.
