Food was outstanding service was great. The portions were outstanding more than enough to feed two people. I had the catfish nuggets with fries I got the large. As I stated above it was more than enough for 2 people possibly 3. Not only would I go there again I'd tell my friends about it as well. That picture is my leftovers after eating about 1/3 of it.

We just went to get JJ's and it didn't disappoint, except for the mac n cheese. I ordered chicken wings and shrimp with a side of mac n cheese, and my gf ordered hot wings. The wings and shrimp I ordered were hot, crispy, juicy, and awesome! "The hot wings weren't crispy, but a little soggy; the fries were killer!" is what my gf said about her meal, but she wouldn't order it again. I've never ordered the hot wings here because the original flavor is amazing. Now to the mac n cheese... It tasted like it had lemon zest mixed into the cheese, which made it more tangy than anything else. It was kinda runny and wasn't really good. I took a couple of bites and she took one before we both agreed that the mac n cheese was better in the trash than in our mouths. I won't be ordering that mac n cheese again anytime ever... Overall, the food was fast, delicious (except the m&c), and flavorful as always and I'll definitely be back to visit this location next time I'm in town.

Great menu selection if not a wee bit confusing. I had the shrimp basket witha piece of cod and fries. Everything was made perfect and I loved the crunchy cornmeal coating on the fish. They missed a star because their bathroom was out of order and how can you NOT wash your hands after such a meal?

Been to both locations of JJ's in Oakland West and East! My fried sole was delicious! Fried and seasoned to perfection not to mention the crispy well seasoned fries! Of course we all know it aint a real fried fish plate without the slices of white bread! My sides of greens and mac n cheese were ok nothing special and my butter cream cake was soft, moist and delicious!

It's safe to say that our visit here was decent for the most part. They give a decent amount of food for the price This place has a constant flow of foot traffic Service was average The fish(red snapper), fries and okra were probably the best tasting things we ordered. The Mac and cheese was watery and not what I was expecting at all The greens could use a little seasoning but they were cooked decently The chicken combo is cool too... The chicken was huge! For folks visiting out of the area who have disabilities or other conditions that may require a restroom, this establishment doesn't have one. Otherwise everything else was alright.

Shrimp was to salty fish was ok but tastes over cook don't waste your money here go somewhere else 🤦🏿‍♂️🤦🏿‍♂️

The service is ok but i ordered catfish and got some other kind of fish. It was ok but NOT what I ordered. I'm from Louisiana so i know what catfish looks,smells and tastes like.

Honestly do not recommend… I speak for myself 3/11/25 the staff there was rude food wasn’t good and when it said pick up I had to wait another 15 minutes… hot sauce was nasty as hell too…. 2/10 worst meal I’ve had in years
