Great local spot with good food and warm customer service.

The people working here, I think they were the owners, were super friendly! They made us feel immediately welcome. The food was good. The atmosphere was fine, it was just a little bit tiny. But it felt like a safe place to eat in kind of an interesting part of town

Quaint little place with great service. Food and coffee is amazing. A must when you come to Oakland.

I love this place!! Great service and friendly people. The breakfast sandwich is the best I’ve had in Oakland. A good place for to go/delivery as well. I always so so enjoy the little notes they write on takeout boxes it makes my day. So loyal to this spot!

Came here after a while, and always enjoyed prior. Eggs were delicious and there was a Thai tea special. Staff asked about my opinion but I decided to write a review as well because it was so good. Sweet but balanced and really strong. Clearly made me very hyper.

L

Had an iced Vietnamese coffee here with a friend. Staff was very sweet and friendly. Place was quaint and charming, with plenty of outdoor seating available (can set up more if needed)

Their waffles are wonderful. As for their veggie eggs benedict? Simply delightful. Don’t pass on an iced Vietnamese coffee or a hot cup of joe. It’s all good at Koffee Pot 🔥

Great breakfast, small and nicely crafted interior, sidewalk dining if you'd prefer and endless coffee refills. Perfect execution of a modern but classic breakfast diner

One of my favorite local Asian-inspired breakfast spots. Small, friendly, and great service. Their Vietnamese coffee is great to start your day with!

A Korean fusion gem. Diverse brunch & spice bar. Small outdoor seating, perfect for parties of 2-4. *Beef rice 🍚 & Qs Benedict $26

I had the spicy pork bulgogi omelet. Not really spicy, but really tasty! The coffee was good, the owners were really nice. Tiny place, but very good. Parking on the street seems easy.

Had some delicious french toast with over medium eggs cooked perfectly!! and some nice and crunchy bacon! Outstanding service by our waitress with kind and professional energy.

I had the loco moco and it was phenomenal. I also love the hole-in-the-wall concept, which makes the dining experience more intimate. All the workers seemed like they work very hard and act fast on each order.

N

Wow! Perfect gem of a brunch spot with Korean influenced menu. Great coffee, pleasant service and the Q-Benedict was a revelation and comfort bomb.

I woke up needing something hardy and this spot didn't disappoint. Got the loco moco bowl with a side of avocado & everything was great!

Super cute hole in the wall place with an awesome friendly vibe. Seems to be run by a multi-generational family, including a super sweet grandma. She made a fresh half pot of decaf coffee just for my mom, and gave her the rest of it to go when we were done eating.

I felt like.... At home. The owner and his Crew are very friendly, the place has a good vibe it was like... As if my Grand ma made me breakfast . I really like the place and they are dog 🐕 friendly ❤️. Every costumer that walked in was treated like family. I definitely recommend this place

I see why this place has a 4.6; well desevered. The food was warm when it arrived. Ordered the French Toast, Eggs and Bacon breakfast. The bacon was well done; not greasy, right amount of natural salt, not a lot of fat. The eggs were cooked to perfection. The French Toast was great and similar to the photos. I enjoyed it from home and will be ordering again. Very reasonably priced. Order came under 20 minutes. The deliverer arrived before the order was ready. Support more local and reasonable priced places like this one.

Best breakfast I’ve had in a long time. Pictured is the spicy pork bulgogi omelette with green onions and hollandaise, hash browns on the side. It’s a charming small eatery with friendly staff. I left very full and happy.

Highly recommended!!! I LOVE going here for brunch and breakfast, it’s delightful every single time. The waffle is buttery, fluffy and crisp. The bulgogi, rice and eggs are so flavorful and the servings are generous. This is an incredible neighborhood restaurant.

A very cute little cafe that’s great for a date; this charming place gives a nice cozy vibe. We ordered a few different things including the Bulgogi omelette and the Spicy Loco Moco, they were all delicious, fresh, and made quickly. There was a generous amount of meat in the bulgogi omelette and it was very tender and flavorful. A great place to stop by if you’re looking for good, homey, brunch comfort food!

A

I got the bulgogi (Korean steak) omelet and French toast and they were amazing! Very flavorful and cooked perfectly with a lot of spices. The flavor is bold and distinct so if you’re more of a simple breakfast person it may not be for you. I ate at the restaurant inside. This is not a typical breakfast spot where you eat with friends as there is limited seating inside and the outside seating isn’t preferred as it’s not in the greatest area. The service was impeccable, the servers were very kind. Food came quick and was fresh. Would definitely recommend but not for a formal dine in experience. But if you’re by yourself or with a friend looking to grab breakfast this is the spot!

TL;DR It’s more expensive to eat out these days (October 2022) but Koffee Pot is both reasonable and worth it! I’ve lived close by for a while, but it wasn’t until I ran into someone else who lives in the area a couple of states away that I decided to give Koffee Pot a try. I’m glad I did! I got 2 BLTAs (bacon, lettuce, tomato, avocado) on croissants which came with mayo and yellow mustard. I’d never had mustard on a BLT/BLTA, but the sweetness of the mustard was great in cutting the richness of the bacon, avocado and croissant. They were REALLY good! The bacon was cooked super crisp, but not to the point that it crumbles. I’m not sure if I would have gotten more lettuce and tomato on another type of bread, but I’m happy with the price ($8.50 + tax, each). I did like that Koffee Pot is bright, clean, and the staff are very friendly. I also saw the maintenance person from my old building there who seemed to know the staff quite well. He’s a super nice guy and in my experience, nice people associate with others who are nice and that definitely lent itself to the atmosphere of Koffee Pot. I’ll definitely be going back!

Super yummy Asian fusion food. Ordered a bulgogi omelette and a decked out French toast. They also have various Hawaiian food on the menu that I can’t wait to try another time. There are a few vegetarian options for my friend like eggs Benedict, but the meat dishes are definitely 🤤🤩

This tiny and cozy cafe is the best. The owner was super nice and was able to accommodate my food allergy and made extra sure my food was allergen free. The vegetables cheese omelette was very big and super fresh ( no fake eggs), and the sour dough bread was delicious. I also had a hot vietnamese coffee which is just heaven in a cup. 100 percent come and eat here. It is very small with just two tables but you can carry out to eat somewhere else. Perfect if you are staying in near by hotel.

Well was looking for a breakfast spot close to the Moxy looked on line and the Koffee Pot was well within walking distance. However when I tried to phone my order it said closed? Then when I called the line was busy. Fortunately the front desk said it was open so walked and the place was small only 3 people operating and they were busy. The gentleman was pleasant and ordered a waffle which was good. So if ever in the area don't be fooled by the looks the food is good!

Cute lil mom and pop shop Cafe which I believe is owned and operated by one family. Kenny Nguyen is the owner and I believe he operates with his wife, daughter and mother. They were all very sweet and the food was delicious and delivered fast with the utmost courtesy. There are only 3 2-tops inside and 1 3-top table outside. There's also a bar that looks like it can handle a couple other patrons. Walking distance from many hospitals

My boyfriend and I came on a Saturday morning it was a little packed but it’s owned by the SWEETEST elder couple who go above and beyond to make sure everyone is cared for. This is the kind of family owned business you’d want to support for breakfast. The food was good and affordable and couldn’t have been happier leaving esp w the service they gave. Thank you both for serving Oakland with big hearts and open doors!

Very small coffee and breakfast spot. Family run. I have. Soft spot for these kinds of places. Food felt like home cooked and made with care. Very tasty. Try the iced Vietnamese coffee. Parking is hit or miss. One or two tables in the dining room, so go with takeout or wait your turn.

Only giving 3 stars cause the aunties behind the counter were lovely. The younger two who were working were not the best. I'm back in town after moving away a couple years ago. Prior to that I was a regular for almost 8 years. Before they fixed up the inside to look more modern. I'd get the same thing as I ordered today with no problems. When I went to order my bfast sandwich w/bulgulgie she kept calling it the lunch sandwich. When I explicitly said I want a breakfast sandwich with bulgulgie added to to it. Of course my order came out like a lunch sandwich with egg added. Had take off half the bread cause it had mayo & mustard that was all over it. I'm allergic to mayo. Luckily I the lettuce they put on it was the main thing touching it and I was able to use the other slice, with extra toast they brought me. Even with the mistake I still wanted to show support & no hard feelings by buying an iced coffee. On the menu I only saw the Vietnamese coffee option hot or cold. So I unfortunately assumed by saying ice coffee that is what I would get. It wasn't until the young guy behind the register started saying I wanted a regular coffee with ice to the other girl, I realized there was a second option of regular coffee. So when I tried to get clarification I was brushed off & told "its fine its fine" multiple times, it wasn't until my drink was done they clarified & it was to late to get what I originally wanted. When I tried to talk to the guy again he got defensive & said I wanted an ice coffee so thats what I got. Even after I tried to figure it all out before the drink was made. My drink was supper bitter and something I could have just made at home. Wishing I had just kept my $20. Never in all my time coming here has two simple orders been so chaotic. Now I know not to come here again. Which is a shame cause this has always been my favorite spot next to Pretty Lady Cafe (when the original owners ran it). Also to clarify I work in costumers service & have worked front of house for many pop ups & restaurants. So I try to be understanding & as clear as possible but this whole experience specifically with the young servers was👎🏼

D
David Doneff

The scrambled eggs were excellent. The bacon was not hot, and the hashbrowns were not very good. The food came out in about two minutes, so clearly The only thing they cooked to order was the scrambled eggs. The bacon and hashbrowns were clearly cooked beforehand and reheated. The hashbrowns were probably frozen. Excellent service. The people were very nice.

I waited over 30 minutes for my order and it didn’t even come out right. They forgot my avocado and spicy gravy. Price is not worth it. But the owner seemed like a nice guy.

Have been going here for 2+ years and always enjoyed the food and service but today a younger man was working and messed up my ordered & when I called to get a refund on the items not received they refused to issue a refund. Mind you I’ve been a regular here and ALWAYS tip. For them to deny a refund of less then $10 over their own mistake shows why they are going out of business! I refuse to spend another dollar with these people!

L
LeAnna Harrison

Prices are great. Food is ok. Service was disappointing. Blatantly racist. Went with two friends who received a completely different dining experience than I did. I was ignored while asking for condiments. The table was cleared except for what was in front of me. The server was most attentive to me while hovering over me as I was trying to squeeze out of the tiny dining space as if I was going to take the cash tip that I had left on the table. Disgusting.
