I've frequented OAK airport over the years and Oaklandish is a perfect spot for a quick bite and a good coffee in the early morning or late hours, whether I am coming or going. Service has never been bad and the food/drink has always been good. I enjoy the simple americanos and either the smoked salmon or avocado...
I have to say I was so happy to see this place! I have not been flying out of Oakland airport lately because they just don’t offer the flight times I need for Hawaii anymore. So I was hoping for a good spot for a good coffee and an egg breakfast sandwich. These guys delivered ! When the online touch screen didn’t work a very nice lady quickly pivoted and took my order:). Everything came out in a timely manner. I love being able to support my local Oakland businesses! I will be back!
Thank you all once again for getting me to over 10 million views. I write reviews for businesses that are either awesome or terrible. The ones that are pretty basic, I tend to forget to write about 😆 If you'd like to keep up and see more of my reviews and pics, like and follow. Here's your review: So first, this is a business collective. I remember being a part of the brainstorming meetings, attending the grand openings, and all the challenges this collective has faced and to see it still growing and standing and supporting local creators is inspiring 👏. I loved hearing Bay Area music when I walked in. They are embodying the spirit of our community as a collective. I am so proud to have bought my Chai latte with almond milk and a Farm Egg breakfast sandwich. They were very careful about my food allergies (pork) and spent time talking about the journey and history. I inhaled them before I remembered to take pics of the food 😆 but you can see what I ordered in the pics I did include. This was a proud moment, and for anyone writing a bad review, you just don't understand the culture of Oakland and what this collective stands for. The struggle we faced keeping it all together over the many years supporting local artists, creators, and curating authentic Oaklandish vibes that keep disadvantaged people pushing forward with pride. Anyone complaining about rude service, you we're probably being rude and late for your flight. Had you planned ahead like I did, you could have taken your time and enjoyed the experience. A good morning and a smile and gratitude get you much more than rushing and being rude yourself. Although I am a little biased because of knowing and experiencing the history behind this collective, if they had bad service, I would have told you. The service was the vibes, the music had me dancing at 8am, and it's 100% Oakland. I had to buy that water bottle to take home. And I'm grabbing clothes from the website when I get where I'm going. It was refreshing to come home for a visit after all these years and see this. Hats off to Southwest Airlines as well for having so many local businesses in the terminal. Let's continue to uplift local creators and businesses with pride. OAKTOWN!!!!! We so #Oaklandish
I had this coffee 2 yrs ago and still think about it. Going to get the guest pass just to get this coffee iced latte again.
Umm,. YES! Love seeing this Oakland flavor here - esp. at the OAK airport! Way to represent. The music selection is definitely of one my fav's + very Oakland, similar to the old Bronx/Brooklyn vibe (my old hood). Passed by so didn't get a chance to truly experience it but the vibe was on pointe!
So glad for this new shop at Oakland Airport! A shop from Oakland, for Oakland. Great coffee and pastries. Their salads and sandwiches are prepared fresh with great ingredients - and are more affordable than any other available option. Their staff was super fun and friendly and they of course have a bunch of Oaklandish merchandise 🌳 love it!
This is right after exiting security and the first coffee opportunity. I appreciate that they have multiple self-order kiosks, it made the ordering process really speedy. I also really enjoyed their strawberry mocha, which was apparently created by one of their baristas. I would drink it every day if I could!
I fly in and out of OAK monthly. I always look forward to grabbing a fresh orange juice and a something to eat from Oaklandish Coffee Collective. I have also bought one of their very cool tee shirts. The staff has always been busy, competent and friendly. I like supporting this local employee owned business.

I enjoy going anytime. I fly out of the Oakland airport. Unfortunately the cashier is hit or miss, but other than that the coffee is great. The pastries were nice. I have never really had any of the real food but you know hey
My iced coffee was delicious. The sandwich was hot and fresh. The two folks working were quick and kind. The music was fun and the seating on the side was quiet and private. An actually great airport food experience. It is airport pricing. $28 for a fancy drink and sandwich (and $3 tip) isn’t unheard of anyway.

The foods and drinks are always on point. Today, almond butter + banana plus toffee nut latte with oat milk.

Since it was one of the only food spots near our gate, Oaklandish Coffee Collective was pretty busy. Thankfully, the self-service kiosks helped keep orders moving and made the process more efficient. The two employees working that morning did a great job keeping things running smoothly. I didn’t have to wait too long for my drink, which I appreciated. That said, the drink itself didn’t really stand out... it wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t memorable enough for me to say whether I’d go out of my way to order there again.
Had their avocado, egg, and cheese breakfast sandwich and it was just okay. If it were more seasoned it would’ve good. Hard to tell if they made it to order or reheated it premade.. two sandwiches did come out quick though.
I’m not quite sure what happened with this drink on this particular day. I ordered iced-mocha and asked how much chocolate syrup are usually in this 12oz size and was told 3 pumps. I requested for 1 pump only and my order came out tasting like candy in a cup. I went and reconfirm with the barista and was told it’s only 1 pump of syrup. I’m a bit disappointed since it doesn’t taste like there was any coffee in it… for 7$ worth of coffee I surely had high expectation. Now I’m a bit afraid to try anything else. I hope other people had better luck than me…. The selection of pasties are good, also I love the designs of T-shirts.

Employees have a poor grasp of their menu. I and another party of 2 all had the wrong drink made. All of us ordered iced drinks, and recieved hot ones. Only after being served the wrong drinks were we told that "they don't make it cold". The menu says that they "serve it cold". Save your money, go elsewhere.
We ordered a caramel macciado and a capachino. Both tasted like weak coffee. Not worth the price. Better to go to any of the chain coffee shops in the airport.
This my $13.75 breakfast sandwich with a little over 1/4 side from each corner empty without cheese egg and barely any avocado! Slow service and sloppy job making sandwiches!

Staff were friendly however my latte was boiling hot and completely undrinkable. Go elsewhere.
On Monday afternoon, September 30th, I went to Oaklandish twice. Both times, the woman working behind the counter, making the sandwiches, etc, was incredibly rude to both myself and other customers. I must emphasize that is was not the cashiers, they were ok. There is no need for rudeness in a place of business or anywhere else. I was very polite to her and she had no reason to be rude to me. I will never go there again, and make sure my friends who fly out of Oakland never go there either.
I’m absolutely obsessed with this place and every chance I get when I’m passing through for work, I get the avocado toast. It’s almost like tradition for me to get it, it’s on the pricey side but I don’t mind because it’s so good and it’s the only avocado toast that I like. Today around 5:30 this morning I ordered my usual, I noticed it came out faster than usual, but I didn’t mine, the quicker the better especially since I was headed to work. I noticed the toast was cold and it’s usually toasted with avocados and the works on top of sourdough bread. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to go back to address my concerns because I had to go to work, but I figured I’d address it on the way back leaving the airport. Once I returned, I explained and explained to the working crew (who two I initially recognized from this morning) that the toast was cold and I’d never had it served cold before. The worker who made my toast told me that it’s made cold, I told him that usually it isn’t and I’ve never had it served that way. Then a young woman with a short pixie blonde cut chimed in and interrupted him and began to explain that their toaster sometimes put the toast out where “it’s lightly toasted” I told her the toast wasn’t toasted at all and she became passive aggressive with me stating I interrupted her and now she wasn’t gonna continue talking, but continued talking indirectly to me. I asked if there was a manager available I was told that there wasn’t and I told by lady that was initially assisting me with my complaint that I felt like The other woman’s demeanor and her statement towards me was unprofessional and that I’d be leaving a complaint. I’m really disappointed in the attitude and service I received today and I have a right to express invoice that. And I hope this statement reaches the manager because it deserves to.
Whoever works in the Oakland Airport Thursdays is rotten! She has been complaining about cleaning, slamming things around, rolling her eyes…terrible attitude!
Literally forgot our order, no one is here and the person working is looking at their phone. Twenty minutes later "Hey we ordered a bagel and got a flight to catch..." Oh and default tipping starts at 35% here. Check before you pay!
