Avis sur R' Noodles & Bakery Oakland
Wonderful restaurant. Although they have a bakery portion, they still serve noodle dishes. As a noodle fiend, I love their river snail noodles. How to describe it? Don't let the name deter you. It's like a melody of different contrasting textures and flavors, from the sour bamboo to the condiments and hearty broth, and as a whole, bursting full of flavor. It's a perfect combo with their soy milk. Yum! The restaurant staff always are so friendly too.
I got the “snail” soup. (Which actually doesn’t have snail meat, it has a lot of pickled greens) It was spicy. I like that this place has a small menu so they can focus on making each dish well. Excited to go back and try more of the menu.
Their Pizza Bread Is So Bomb Imagine if the bread was the Hawaiian bread with the pizza stuffed baked in. It had creamy corn cheese ham and pineapples it might sound kind of weird as a combination but it is delicious and it is the truth I swear you guys need to try the bakery their cakes are good you can get three of the pizza breads for $4.50 cakes six slices for $5.99 you can't beat these prices and it's good they have different types of breads they have like ham and cheese pizza onion bread cheese and bacon and onions like they have different combinations but it is really good I highly recommend them
A new little Chinese noodles place. Very tasty and big portion. Guilin rice noodle soup

I ate here a couple times i had the noodle soup 🍜 with lots of stuffs, meats, flavors etc.. wasn't bad at all.. pretty good.. actually, the ladies in there were very nice.. definitely will be back..
This place is so underrated! The noodle dishes are some of the best I've had and they're huge portions! The colored dumplings and the soy milk too were great. It's easy to miss this place if you're just walking around, but they deserve way more business and attention.
This place is under transition from a noodle house to the bakery with expansion of Viet style noodles later . Price is very affordable and reasonable. Continental style pastries start with $1.00 each . 4/25/21. Egg custard with cookie shelf is also $1.00 each. Pastries are not very sweet, fit for most diet watchers. The size is just right for afternoon snack. Beside frozen buns " Bao" and other variety buns and food available . Cookies and bread loaf are very fresh locally made. Very friendly helpful counter people. A very clean place to shop. As of 5/5/21 I am looking forward to try the "Pho" later. Credit Cards are Accepted with a Minimum of $10.00 Let's welcome this bakery and give a try . I am just a happy customer who travel to Oakland for gourmet food.
A refreshing alternative to the plethora of Cantonese options in Oakland Chinatown. I got the #1 soup and it was hearty and flavorful. The shop is clean and tidy as well. Unlike a lot of other places in Chinatown, their staff don't have any issues understanding English.
Very authentic and flavorful Chinese noodles. You will not regret if you know what you are getting into (Chinese noodles are generally greasy). I ordered the first one, a spicy one. It has some snail meat and lots of other vege ingredients. It tastes like the one from China.
Small menu, simple and fast, ordered the #4 (guilin Noodle) and was very pleasantly surprised. Great flavor, noodles, and lots of veggies. Clean decor.

Seems like it’s only a bakery now. Best pork floss bun 🤤had one and came back for more the following day.

R Noodle and Bakery in Oakland’s Chinatown They used to sell noodle soups but now they sell frozen noodles and dumplings. 🥟 They also sell slice cakes too! 🍰
Great food! It's a family quiet place. I ordered No4 Guilin style rice noodles soup and It was great. The portion is big and it was super tasty. 11,89 dollars. The service is nice, helpful and fast enough. Fully recommended.
Good hand pulled noodles. Fast and friendly service. Place is newly redone inside.
We came here for lunch. The place has a good steady stream of customers. As we were seated, we were immediately asked if we wanted hot tea or water. The bowls of noodles are huge. I was really stuffed when I finished it. I also liked that their picked chopped peppers are the table was spicy and added a nice kick to my noodle soup. I definitely want to try other dishes there.

These days I seldom write and put up Intel like new openings as competition is fierce giving away to those that don't do the work. Best to be kept to yourself is how you make a living. It used to be Chan's Kitchen before R' noodles. Minor changes and wall paper art rest of place same. English and chinese is spoken so no problem being hungry and saying can't read or speak the language. At lunch time they ran out of ingredients to make other dishes including noodle bowl. I wanted the #3 pork, but end up getting #5 sirlion stew rice noodle soup. Although it was tasty, the price didn't reflect on it. I would say by dropping two dollars off and you'll have people in line waiting. How can you run out of ingredients during lunch when people are thinking were to go for lunch?

Apparently it used to be a restaurant, but it’s now a bakery. Breads are very mediocre. Cakes and buns are ok. The white milk bread loaf is not good. It’s soft but quite chewy in a bad way, even fresh.
It was a little annoying. After a long day of walking in Oakland I was ready for food. So we walk in and guess what happened. The shop was filled with frozen food. So we are like darn it. Then we bought something on the menu and half of everything was "Not available." I don't recommend this place if you had a long day.😔
Food was OK, needed salt. Had the wonton noodle soup, every wonton had a tear so water got inside and may have added to the lack of taste. Black bean pork ribs was good.
This place become a bakery store. No Louis Noodle anymore! I drove 20 miles to find out.

The noodle section was closed and looks like the bakery section has been downsized as well. Don’t have much frozen food as shown in the picture and only limited bread options that were pre-packaged. The bread is not bad but there are better options in the area. Just not the place you expected when looking at the google pictures and reviews, wish they’d updated their business info.
