Tuve la fortuna de recibir un tratamiento de Alberto que fue, sinceramente, del corazón y de la tierra. Desde el primer momento, su respeto, la fuerza segura de sus movimientos y la confianza con la que trabajó me hicieron sentir en las mejores manos. Las estiradas con rebozo fueron ejecutadas de manera impecable, la limpia resonó profundamente en mí y me ayudó en mi camino para las próximas semanas. El lugar este frente al mercado y no creerás lo mágico del lugar que hace q puedas relajarte x completo. Es el cumpleaños de mi mamá y nos hicieron el Royal Maya Ritual, una súper experiencia para recibir su nuevo año de vida. El masaje estuvo espectacular ambos terapeutas muy buenos y profesionales. Sin duda lo recomiendo espero lo disfrutes igual que nosotros. Me encantaría haber tomado fotos pero estábamos tan entregadas al ritual que nunca pensamos en tomarlas. Mi papá entró al sauna con un malestar del estomago por tanto comer en estos días, la preparación que hicieron fue especial con las plantas y lo mantuvieron hidratado durante todo el servicio.

Tome el masaje Maya Real súper completo de pies a cabeza, realmente agradable, relajante, con musicoterapia, ventosas suaves, aromaterapia, cuenco, palo de lluvia; un ambiente muy rico. Un trabajo muy profesional, lo recomiendo mucho. Se siente la buena energía de todo lo que involucran en su trabajo

Buscaba algo diferente del masaje tradicional y lo encontré, experimente gracias a Gladis el masaje purépecha y puedo decir que es liberador para cada parte del cuerpo, para mí fue un masaje muy reparador mi espalda y piernas sintieron un alivio increíble también pude disfrutar de masaje con rebozo y me ayudó por completo. Es algo que se tiene que experimentar pero si mencinar que si eres alguien a quien el masaje descontracturante no le agrada por la presión puede que esté no lo sea para ti.

I went in for a full body massage that included cupping, abdominal massage. And afterwards facial. To start, the man who massaged me made me feel so comfortable. Every time I’ve gotten massages in the past I’m asked about my tattoos and remarks about my body to the point that I won’t get massages anymore, but this man changed that for me. He only ever asked me if I felt ok if I was comfortable if he was pressing to hard and telling me what he was doing next. He spoke good English for me which was very nice of him! The massage, wow my body has not felt that relaxed in years. All my back pain was gone. All the oils made my skin sooo soft aswell 12/10 best massage I’ve ever had, the environment was so nice aswell very calming, inviting, clean, they have an option on the menu for everyone. Then I got a facial done with my cousin which was also great. We paid extra because of acne and the treatment she did on us was effective. It’s been 3 days since and my acne for the first time in over 7 years has dried up and is finally going away. This is after years of spending thousands on products in Canada and the us, I have been to dermatologists, I’ve litterally tried everything and I think this actually worked. I may even go back before I leave to get her to laser my acne again

My partner and I partook in the traditional Temazcal offered by Luci and Carlos at the spa’s secondary location in Teotitlán de Valle. Coming from both of us, we can’t speak highly enough about this experience. Luci and Carlos guided us in a beautiful ceremony and temazcal that led to very profound spiritual experiences for us. They carry out their cultural traditions in such a beautiful, respectful, and grounded way. It was an honor to be guided and held by both of them. The meal they served and shared with us after the ceremony was so nourishing and delicious. It was a perfect way to ground in and connect. We also adored the cacao body scrub they offered us in the temazcal and can’t wait to make our own, as our skin felt incredible after. We absolutely recommend participating in a temazcal with these beautiful people. You will not regret it.

Incredible spa in the heart of the city. The first thing I did when I arrived in Oaxaca was come here for a Mayan massage and sauna. I highly recommend Gladys for a massage. The owners Lucy and Carlos are genuinely caring people and you can feel their heart is in the spa, work, and clients. I also did a temazcal at their location in teotitlan de valle. My experience was transformational and really opened my time in Oaxaca. It’s work taking time to visit this location for a temazcal ceremony. I will visit nativo and Carlos and Lucy every time I visit Oaxaca.

I went with two family members and everyone was very happy. I specifically asked for a therapist that could do very hard/deep pressure and Nancy delivered. She was very intuitive, checked in throughout and adjusted as needed based on my requests (and her strength didn’t wane throughout the massage and she didn’t struggle through it, as others have at other places). Prices very reasonable. My family members noted how well they cleaned after their massages (they did one hour and waited for me since I did 90-min), and were very happy with Miguel and so sorry they forgot the second male therapist’s name. They also said communication was not an issue although they speak little Spanish. My one dislike was while I was in a visually private area, I was not in an enclosed room, unlike my family members who were. My mom went the next day and requested to have a private room and it was no issue. My mom also had Nancy and said her massage was fantastic. Located on second floor (no elevator), and they have clean bathroom to use as well as drinking water. Easy to book via WhatsApp and they can communicate in English. I’m always apprehensive about cleanliness, professionalism and skill/understanding of the body when trying new places, but can highly recommend and am sad I didn’t think to book earlier on my trip, would have gone multiple times!

I was blessed to receive a Royal Mayan Massage with Alberto. The space was serene and the ceremony he created felt grounding and cleansing. He started by explaining the plants and components of the process, then we had the ritual and then moved to the massage. Alberto had a strong but gentle touch and lots of skill. I loved the inclusion of sliding cupping - it releases muscles in a different way than compression. There were also some surprise moves that I have not experienced before ;) The whole experience lasted 2.5 hours and very worth the splurge. I feel detoxified and content. The location is upstairs. It is well marked but the door is small between 2 street front shops.

If you’re thinking about doing this…don’t. This is a “must do”! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 After reading reviews online, I was determined to book with Carlos or Lucí, who I learned are the owners. Both have been working in the healing arts for decades and are well-known locally. 🪶🌵💐 But it turned out that there was a scheduling issue, and I ended up getting Gladys for my Mayan massage. 💆🏼‍♀️ Let me just say that it was THE best massage I’ve ever had in my life. 😍 (And that says a lot, because I’ve had a lot of massages in my life, lol.) 😀 It’s WELL worth the money, especially if your shoulders and back are sore from carrying luggage. 🏷️😅 Be sure to bring at least 15% to 20% extra for a tip…you’ll be glad you did. 🤓 I also got the facial, which was lovely, but not unforgettable—like the Mayan massage. 🇲🇽 A special thanks Lucí for correcting the scheduling error, and to Gladys for being a sweetheart on top of being an excellent massage therapist! 🙏🏼🤗

If you are looking for a quality massage with people that really tend to your massage needs — deep tissue, relaxing muscle, soreness, or spiritual reenergizing moments, you can receive all that here . Carlos and Luci have years and years of experience tied to the Zapotec culture and impart that knowledge and expertise to you. What I love about their services are multi level: 1- Personal Attention: they really pay a lot of attention to your specific body. No two massages should be the exact same because one day you may have a lower back pain or another day you really just want to relax from the scalp down. Other times people have sensitivities and don’t like to be touched on the feet etc. They really listen and I appreciate that so much. 2- Energy. I have had one massage with Carlos and about five with Luci. They bring very good energy, that comes from their heart and transfer that to my body. It’s a healing touch that is different from other massage places because sometimes other massage people rush through and don’t transfer a healing sensation. Luci has lots of experience and she can feel in my body where there’s a lot of built up tension and help melt that away and in its place transfer a positive touch. 3- Zapotec roots. In addition to deep tissue, hot stone, or relaxing massage, they also offer a Zapotek traditional ceremonial experience. Again as mentioned Carlos and Luci are Oaxacan Zapotek and are more than happy to share their tradition with you, they use herbs, stones, chanting, drumming, and herbal steam. This Limpia is way more than just a massage. It is an energy experience. Please check them out. You won’t be disappointed. Easy to find near Mercado 20 de Noviembre/ Benito Juarez. (There is ambient noise from the market. Just keep that in mind as it is not fully soundproof.) They do accept credit cards. Enjoy your experience!! I also added photos and a video.

What an amazing experience! After a long travel day to get here to this beautiful city. My mom, aunt and I chose the Mayan Royal. It was the best decision ever. You start off with a Mayan ritual which we loved. The three ladies Nancy, Navidad and Gladys all are very experienced masseuse. They worked every knot and kink we knew we had and some we didn’t know. This treatment is a 2 hour and 15 minute of pure bliss. These three ladies work hard and you can tell they love what they do! They even helped us with getting a taxi after our treatment. We ended up booking a facial for another day.

Had the most beautiful, unforgettable experience with Carlos and Lucy's Temezcal and massage at their beautiful home just outside of Oaxaca. My friend and I were looking for a traditional Temezcal experience, and Lucy and Carlos created an experience beyond anything we could have imagined. From the beautifully set-up ceremonial space, to the cacao body scrub with fresh cacao beans, to the cacao ceremony, to the fresh herbal steam in the Temezcal -- everything was created with such intention and love. Carlos led us through the Temezcal and after we went straight into massage with Lucy and Carlos -- both of whom truly have the hands of angels. Our massages were perfect and the day ended with gorgeous home-cooked soup and tortillas. I truly cannot recommend the experience enough, it was a day we will remember forever! WOW. If you are looking for a typical, run-of-the-mill massage, go elsewhere. This is not that. It is WAY better. If you are ready for a truly healing and holistic experience, this is your place. I was utterly touched by the thoughtfulness and thoroughness of my Royal Mayan Massage ceremony. I started crying immediately because it felt so deeply special and was so different from the hundreds of mediocre massages I’ve experienced in the states. This is honestly the kind of massage I’ve been dreaming of for years. I am a massage therapist myself and am extremely picky when it comes to people working on me. The healing practitioners at Nativo Spa are truly lovely souls that approach bodywork from a spiritual, energetic standpoint and take this work seriously. I could not have been more pleased with my experience. Even though my appointment got started late and I had to wait, I did not care one bit. I felt so held - by Alberto, by nature, by my ancestors, by the space, by the lineage of this work. I will hold onto this memory with love and gratitude for many years to come. If I lived here, I’d visit often.

First off, my wife is a licensed massage therapist in the States. Now when I say that the massage that I received at Nativo Spa (all praise due to my therapist Miguel) was just as good as the ones I receive from my wife, says a lot. I went with my wife who was just as impressed as I was (she had Alberto has her therapist) with the attentive care to our multiple back and shoulder issues. We opted for a couples massage with the Royal Mayan massage (highly recommend) which included the spiritual cleanse before the massage, which I have to say had a very positive uplifting sensation all in itself, especially with the fresh, fragrant bouquet of lovely herbs (which included basil, rosemary, sage and rue) which were presented to each of us, as well as the glorious copal that was used as an offering to burn and with the smoke blown towards you from head to toe. These details along with the drumming (by Miguel), the rainsticks, relaxing music (from a playlist but still awesome!) the conch shell blowing and the incantations of positivity from Alberto were an unforgettable experience for the both of us. I was extremely satisfied with the time and care given (never felt rushed) but especially with the massage which included any issues that you explain to them beforehand, the pressure was intense enough to feel that they are addressing your concerns but as soon as they feel you tense up or about to moan or groan from the intensity they knew when to lighten up. I was also amazed of the focus on our problematic areas and other areas I didn’t even think of, which was literally being massaged from head to toe. The frontal massage, where the focus was on the abdomen and the organs within was something spectacular for me (although I was afraid I was going to let one rip, even though my wife says her clients do it and it’s not a big deal). Then the cupping from the upper to lower back and the along the spine and the leg raise and sway with a towel under your lower back for support was a beautiful thing. I believe I described my favorite parts of my experience in general but I stilI hope this review inspires someone else to venture forth and visit this wonderful establishment and to have as truly an astounding mind/body/spirit enlightening time of your life as I did. Tuvimos una experiencia con sentimientos encontrados. Por un lado, la ceremonia del masaje Real Maya fue increíble. Se siente una energía positiva muy bonita, la disfrutamos mucho! Nuestros terapéutas Alberto y Miguel fueron muy amables y profesionales en todo momento. Son muy cálidos en su trato y estoy segura que tienen mucho conocimiento ancestral. Por otro lado, les falta coordinar mejor sus citas. El día que teníamos la reservación, parece que habían sobrevendido el día, por lo que nuestra ceremonia inició 1 hora después de la hora original de la cita y sentí mi masaje apresurado. También necesitan a alguien en recepción en horario laboral, ya que mi terapeuta tuvo que pausar mi masaje 3 veces para salir a atender a los clientes que llegaban porque no había nadie en recepción para hacerlo. Nuestra experiencia no fue la mejor, pero esperamos que este comentario pueda ayudar a mejorar la experiencia para otros pacientes.
