It's been long overdue since I've come around here and even longer for a review. When I used to live around the South Ozone Park area, I regularly came here around 2009 - 2019. Last time I came around was around 2021 to get a short bite to eat after getting a booster shot during the C-19 era. I've recently thought of this place again and figured to stop by here after some time. The place looks narrow outside but it's very roomy with plenty of seating in the area. The guys behind the counter are cool and very attentive. Solid service just as it was when I first came around many years ago. I got a Chicken Pesto slice, a chicken roll and root beer which came up to $18. Prices have certainly gone up since then but that's the new normal these days. Unexpected cost aside, Pizza hasn't changed in quality and taste at all. Sofia's has always had very solid variations with their Pizza and the roll was cooked very well with the dough not so chewy. It was worth a revisit coming down here and I'll come back around pretty soon.

After a very long day of traveling due to the AC strike and not making it home as planned we had to book a hotel near JFK to try and make it home the next day. Tired and stressed we went to Sophia’s pizza to get dinner and I’m so glad we did. They were so welcoming, the food was fresh and tasted amazing, especially their marinara sauce. And Jerry was so great helping us to relax. It was the comforting atmosphere and comfort food we needed after a stressful day. Thank you so much!

Sofia Pizza is a hidden gem in South Ozone Park. The crust is perfectly crisp, the sauce is rich and flavorful, and the toppings are always fresh. You can taste the quality in every bite. The staff is friendly and the service is quick, making it a go-to spot for a delicious and satisfying pizza experience. Highly recommend trying their specialty pizzas—you won’t be disappointed!

I’ve been on vacation in Queens for the past week. Despite there being endless amount of food options in the area, I kept finding myself coming back to Sofia’s pizza. I'm actually heading there right now as I write this review. This my go to spot for beef patty with cheese or Mushroom Sicilian slice. It's Italian own has a family vibe. I've haven't there food dishes but when I see other customers eating it looks very good. Definitely recommend it if you in the area.

Ordered this from staying close by at a hotel for a layover at JFK. Arrived super greasy, took a while for it to arrive. The tiramisu was in the same box as the garlic knots so it basically was melted and warm. The garlic knots were very good, but that was the best there was. I will not order again despite the hotel recommending the spot.

Ordered takeout. Cheese Pizza and Veal marsala. Terrible. I don't expect much, but no flavor whatsoever and the crust was tough. Red Baron pizza is better and that is not that good either. The veal was completely inedible and no marsala taste whatsoever. Instead of serving it over spaghetti noodles as I'd asked, it came with a side of spaghetti that was just as tasteless as the pizza. Not trying to lose them business, but hey, garlic and parmesan does wonders and it was also missing. Please do better. No one likes to waste money.

My first time ordering from here. I was so hungry I got the closest spot to me, I got garlic knots & the chicken roll The garlic knots were really little and so oily it made me sick in my belly. The chicken roll wasn’t tasty either , cheesy but bland. It’s sad because I ordered from here because of all the good reviews I saw. Please less grease in the garlic knots - I literally squeezed oil out of the bread . Not cool , tastes garlicky but definitely too much oil .

I’m writing this with a heavy heart after what happened to my family. We came to this restaurant hoping to enjoy a simple meal together. Our special-needs son relies on his trained service animal for comfort and safety, and we never imagined we would be turned away because of him. The staff insisted on seeing “paperwork” for the service animal, even though in New York—and under federal ADA law—no paperwork is required. We tried to explain this calmly, but we were still refused service. Standing there with our son watching everything unfold was heartbreaking. It felt like we were being judged for having a child with disabilities instead of being welcomed like any other family. We left feeling humiliated and hurt. No family should have to experience that, especially one already working hard to support a child with special needs. I truly hope the restaurant takes this experience seriously and trains their staff, so no other child or parent has to feel the way we did.👎🏾

We’ve been ordering food here for years. Sadly, their prices have gone up and portions have gone down. We ordered money bags and the portion was so small and taste was bland. So disappointing. Not worth $23 plus delivery and tip. We won’t be ordering from here again.
