It's adorable inside. The walls are covered in art from local artists, they have comfy couches and chairs, as well as tables for working. There's a piano, and I saw the calender includes fun events every week. I got a dirty chai in a for-here mug, and it was delicious 🤤 my dog was very happy too, which is all I really care about 🐶
Warmed up next to the fireplace with my delicious 20 oz $6.00 oat milk vanilla matcha. Glad I popped in for this tasty value.
Love this place was recommended by my brother and enjoyed my experience along with my niece ordered an ice mocha rocca with soy a coffee and a hot chocolate along with the best cookie I ever had. Definitely worth the drive great service. Was there while a band was setting up for the evening
A cozy, comfortable place to warm up after a chilly morning of wave watching. An affordable menu of both sips and eats that will satisfy all five senses. Listening to your beans grinding at the placement of your orderto the welcoming staff over gentle melodic sounds of various genres of music being played. Seeing all of the comfy places to ponder a seat. The scent of your coffee brewing and tasty sandwiches being made and then feeling how good it feels to snuggle into your comfy seat. Best of all tasting the flavor of the delicious elixir that was just made and served to you by the talented barista.
PG Meetinghouse on an early Tuesday morning! What a treat for me and my doggos. I ordered an excellent dirty chocolate chai and egg, bacon croissant which comes from a local bakery. Then the servers surprised me with some pup cups for the fur babies! We took our adventure to the local Lover’s Point outcrop off a recommendation from the owner. Thank you PG Meetinghouse :)
I stopped here after a nice walk at lovers point to grab a smoothie and it was great. The mango peace fruit smoothie isn't too sugary or sweet. The pricing is fair too, and it feels nice to chill here. The couches are wayyyy to comfortable. In a good way
As good writing coffee shops go, Juice n Java is great. Friendly staff, Lots of room, tables, chairs and couches. Great coffee (sadly, no gluten free foods) but otherwise a great spot for writers, and dogs. Very dog friendly.
Best mocha I've ever had. Hands down. I've been here back in 2005 when I was in town for a conference. I've never had a better Mocha. You guys had such a cool atmosphere, I absolutely love it. Chive on!

Change of ownership, but thankfully kept the same atmosphere and interior design. Cozy, authentic communal area without overpriced drinks/pastries. Edit 11/24: just visited again, and they did change a lot of the interior and it has a very different look now. Doesn’t feel the same as juice n java, but it looks like the new owner has a new vision for the place.
Absolutely love this place!! As a local, it is such a fun and cozy place to enjoy a coffee or a baked good, I go all the time. The iced matcha is fantastic as well as the iced lattes. The croissants are also so good and so buttery. The service is amazing and the prices are affordable. 10/10!!
Great place for live music in the evenings, coffee in the morning and conversation in the afternoon. The premises are always clean. The staff is always friendly.

Enjoyed a nice peach and mango smoothie! I have a variety of espresso coffees, bakery goods, paninis many other items. Sphere is comfortable bright mini colorful elements of wall art. it is in the corner of the downtown section of Pacific Grove. I recommended.
Cute little cafe! Stopped in while car was charging for a coffee and muffin. Fantastic service and strudel muffin was amazing.

We come every week for trivia and love it! It lost a bit of character in the renovation, but it's still a great spot!
I love this place for the ambiance. It’s very cozy, good music, with plenty of seating and a large fireplace. The coffee was surprisingly good: rich, deep, and strong. The latte reminded me of Vietnamese coffee. The only slight downside is cleanliness. The floors and bathrooms could use a deep clean, and the lack of toilet seat covers is a miss. Otherwise, really like this place and will be back.
It’s great to see more customers and the renovations give off good vibes. PG Meetinghouse is a great, laid back coffee house with excellent coffee and food items. We skipped eating brunch as Sunday’s music duo was way too loud for the size of space so hardly conducive to enjoying a meal. The duo has a following, so maybe the two hour brunch could be advertised as a concert. Also, many customers walked out as there weren’t enough tables and chairs. Bar stools at the window table would be helpful.

First of all, the customer service was lacking. I wasn’t greeted right away. The young lady that ended up taking my order was fairly friendly. But the one that made my drink just put it on the counter, and didn’t say anything to let me know it was ready. And her shirt/top was quite revealing, not very professional-looking. I got a hot chai latte with regular milk. I liked the beautiful sun-shaped pattern of cinnamon that was sprinkled on top of it. The overall taste was pretty good, but there was a flavor in it that tasted a bit off to me, as if it had an artificial sweetener in it. (I had read and was told at the counter, that they make their chai in-house, so I was expecting more of an authentic, pure chai flavor.) And it was way too hot! I waited about 5 minutes to try it, and it was still so hot, that I burned my tongue, and had to spit it out! Also, I had read that they serve gluten-free bakery items there, but the only gf item available was a big coconut macaroon, half dipped in chocolate. (I passed on that, but the cashier said they are good.)
Great service. The employees make you feel at home. Beautiful building inside and out. Delicious drinks. My next time in the area, I'm definitely coming back. ***2/14/17 update*** service is still great and their coffee is amazing. Got the White Chocolate Mocha Double Shot...delicious. Frank is the absolute best. Thanks for the recommendations on the fish tacos too! ***8/12/25*** service has gone downhill, at least on one of the days I was there. We stopped by everyday we were there (4 days). Of those days, 3 were great and 1 was bad. This metal head chick who thinks she's too good to be there was very dismissive and essentially tossed the loyalty card on the counter... My hand was right there. It has gone downhill from the old PG Juice and Java days. It's very cluttered and messy now. It was clean and well taken care of in the past. The coffee is still fantastic, but it's less welcoming because of the clutter, mess, and dismissive employee. I hope the culture changes here, or at least the one employee.
Cozy and quiet place to have a sip of joe. Dark and mahoganyesque ambience, it reminds me of Edward Hopper’s “Nighthawks” lonely and sterile mood.

I’ve been giving this place a chance for over a year now and it’s never gotten better. It smells like a convalescence home due to the unkempt & stained furniture. Being awkward must be a requirement to get hired there because I’ve never been greeted with positive customer service. All of the barista fail to make eye contact or even speak at all. Last time I went in there was 5 girls huddled up behind the register gossiping while I stood there waiting for them to finish. As someone who has been in the industry for 8+ years I know how easy it is to have polite interactions with guests. Seems strenuous for these employees. My drinks are usually very bad quality or wrong completely. I went in for a matcha one time, and received an iced latte. I used to get paninis for lunch here until they consistently took 20min to finish it. The owner was hyping up their house made chai to the heavens but it was probably the worst I’ve ever had. Just a low quality business overall.
There is GRAFFITI on the back southern walls of the PG MEETING HOUSE. A request has been sent to Code Violation with no positive results. It is a disgrace and eye soar to PG residents!! Please notify owner of building to remove it or fine the owner. It's been nearly 3 months and the graffiti is still on the back wall of the PG Meeting House. I have made so many contacts including Code Enforcement, Public Works, In Stride Physical Therapy who contacted the owner of the building, employees at the PG Meeting House, and finally the PG Police Dept. The Pacific Grove Police Department took photos of the graffiti, and the officer told me he was putting together a report. I asked him to be sure to send a copy to Mr. Jon Biggs, Development Director of Pacific Grove, as well as the owner of the building. When I had initially contacted In Stride Physical Therapy, the employee told me that Wendy, the owner, was out of town and would take care of the graffiti when she returns. That has been nearly 3 months ago and NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE!! I have been patient, but my patience is running thin! I feel that the owner of The Meeting House in Pacific Grove needs to be cited for avoiding to take care of removal of the graffiti after being given ample time. I would appreciate if customers would protest by boycotting this restaurant until this ongoing issue is resolved once and for all! Concerned Customer Who Won't Return Until their Graffiti is TOTALLY REMOVED!
