Raymond's Chinese Restaurant

I usually order through Grubhub for home delivery. This time, I picked up myself. The place has that small-town feeling with just a few tables for dining in. While waiting for my order, I was attended to by a lady who happened to be the owner. She was very pleasant and friendly. As a side story, I told her that I typically get home delivery through Grubhub, and I mentioned the name of my street. Without hesitation, she came back with my house number. Now, that's impressive. In any event, their menu selection is plenty. I usually order the sweet & sour prawns, tofu with green beans and mushrooms & shrimp chow mein. Everything we've ordered from Raymond's has been excellent!

I'm a repeat customer here at Raymonds. I've had dine in and had them deliver to me multiple times and they have excellent quality and customer service each and every time. They have NEVER disappointed. I highly recommend this place and continuously bring new friends here.

When im in town i always try to get raymonds take out. It's very cozy in foggy cold weather. I always get the lemon chicken and appreciate theirs is not covered in heavy deep fry breading as even though chinese food is considered cheating on a diet it's better the way they do it than covered in tons of goopy stuff. The ppl who work there also are fast and they give you a decent amount of food which I also appreciate so I can have leftovers and not feel like I should just eat it all at once. Also it is one block from the beach. See you next time I'm in town ❤️

Went there for the first time with family while looking for a place to eat out of town, genuinely one of the best places I’ve ever been to. The decorations inside are pleasant to look at we felt super comfortable inside. The staff were very friendly and welcoming it was easy to speak to them (at some point we were given a peeled apple by them which was unexpected and unbelievably kind!!), the food was spectacular I ended up taking some home with me. I’d absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable dining spot. If I didn’t live so far I would’ve made this my everyday place to eat, it was such a good experience that I jokingly considered moving to the area just for the food. Even now I miss the Thai iced tea I had there! I cant wait to go back if I have the opportunity to return there.

Finally worked up the courage to ask out the most beautiful girl I knew to dinner with me, and she actually agreed! Unfortunately I was not sensitive to the time, and most restaurants in the area close around 8PM, so I took her here on a whim. Throughout the night, I couldn’t get a read if she was enjoying her time or not - she had the most neutral face I have ever seen on a person. Hopefully I didn’t screw this up… Anyways the staff were wonderful and the was great at well! I recommend the crab cream puffs. Will come back here again!

Best sit down lunch special in the neighborhood. Don't get me wrong, I love and support other eateries. But the Monday lunch specials are a bargain and appreciated in this time of inflation. Yes, it's very American-Chinese, and covers just the basics, but meats and veggies are fresh, and they don't shy from giving you a pile of veggies that are properly cooked(not mushy, nor undercooked) with the dishes that come with them. The soup is always warm and tasty too and the server is always friendly to boot. Love supporting this mom n pop. Just remember: special is WEEKDAY ONLY.

Delicious food! I had the General Chicken Szechuan Style, incredibly tender and very tasty. My friend got the Sesame Chicken which was also delicious. My only gripe is that the food got cold fast but that wasnt an issue. Im from Alameda, but if im ever in the area again I’ll definitely return to this restaurant.

Appetizer crispy tofu tried with the west lake minced beef soup was so good for the wether , feed me good and warm me up.

I recently started coming here after discovering how great the service is. The food is excellent, and I’d especially recommend the cashew prawns. They’ve perfected the batter, making it incredibly delicious and far better than anywhere else I’ve tried. I’m not sure if the staff owns the place, but they’re certainly skilled at what they do and very friendly. 👍👍 for this spot. Great location too close to the beach.

The food was wonderful and reasonably priced. The appetizer plate was excellent. The. Chicken in the noodle soup was so tender, it melted in your mouth. The house special was just the right flavor. Will definitely revisit, when we're in the vacinity. Thank you for a pleasubt dinner.

Great family owned establishment where the food is consistently good and the prices are very fair. A lot of their weekly lunch specials are under $15 and that’s with tax! The restaurant is a bit dated but very clean.

Not bad for your standard Americanized Hong Kong style Cantonese food. Not an insult just accurate. We had mushu, sweet and sour pork and walnut shrimp. Pretty good. Nice folks too.

Vegan items are not clearly labelled, would clarify with staff. Pretty classic menu of standard chinese american items. Got raymond's vegetable, braised tofu and vegetables, and vegetable chow mein. Liked the raymond's vegetable dish the most which had a bit of a spicy sauce.

Ordered for delivery, chicken chow mein, chicken fried rice, sweet and sour pork, beef chow fun, and fried chicken, chow mein was okay, beef chow fun was mushy the beef was fatty, and the fried chicken had an after taste. Don’t get me wrong the food looked good but what matters is the taste!!.

I never post reviews but can't help it. Tried this place because of how many times I had driven by. Terrible choice. Food is terribly bland. Especially the fried rice, no flavor. Beef is tender, but no seasoning. Seemed boiled? Way overpriced for bland not fully cooked food. And the lady in front was very unfriendly! Will never go here again!

I only gave a star so I can post this this place deserves no stars. It was Christmas Eve and I only ordered pot stickers , orange chicken, and rice on the phone. The lady hung up the phone before I could ask the price so I called back than she was very rude told me she was very busy. I asked her what was the price for my order she said $35 than 45 than her final answer was $65 . So I said how much was everything then she proceeded to yell at me for wasting her time so I said to her cancel my order. then she got even madder and I hung up. I will never go there ever again. I suggest that you don’t either.

The food was good but we ordered the eggplant with tofu and vegetables. However, the tofu was cut in huge pieces and it didn't taste that good. I would suggest to cut the eggplant and tofu with vegetables into small pieces instead.

The advertised prices are false. They refused to honor the advertised prices and angrily yelled at me just for mentioning it. She took my cash and yelled very loudly in front of other guests, “you no like - you no come here!” The anger was very intense and made me quite uncomfortable. I took the food because I didn’t have time to start lunch over, and left paying far more than expected. Total BS!

Worst Chinese food I’ve ever had. The pan fried noodles we ordered were hard crunchy, plain, and almost like “cup o noodle” noodles thrown into a dirty wok to be fried. The vegetables were cut unusually large. We didn’t receive any napkins or silverware with our order. The fortune cookies were stale too We spent $62 and basically threw everything away. Not really sure why this place currently has 4 stars. This is not immaculate and definitely not the vibe 🙄🙄

Great food but horrible customer service . The lady who answered the phone is extremely rude! Basically hung up on me because I wasn't sure what they had food wise. I'm not gonna be superised if this place doesn't last long due to how rude and disrespectful they treat there customer. Dirty place I don’t recommended any body I came to have dinner since I see all this with my friends place I never go back . I recommend for owner specially for the lady behind the cashier please take care for health of people than money , with money there is no respect no time just looking for money, when some spend money give us better services.

I ate food here and a few hours later got severe food poisoning.

I’m not one to complain about food, grateful to have a meal every time with how pricey life is. With that be said I had the worst fried rice, chow fun, & chicken wings there. Everything was tasteless and bland. I got 4 things there and it was 62 bucks.. I’m all for paying good things but this was NOT worth it. Just tasted like buffet food. Panda Express would have had more flavor.
